Locking markers position at markers panel and multiple regions batch processing

I have one problem with markers, when I hover mouse over any marker item at Markers panel and unintentionally scroll the wheel in the effort to scroll the whole list, the marker time value is shifted instead. This is extremely unconvenient as the precisely selected region changes it's position, eventually even without letting user to know. Wanted to aski if that adjusting times using wheel (which I found useles beside it) is turnable off so that all markers are imune against any scrolling the wheel over Markers list.
2nd question - Is it possible to define a batch of for each of marked ranges, ie. set the parameters for each task individually? I need to stretch a long audio track with many regions from whose each uses specific stretch ratio.
I've never used it, but the Automate to Sequence feature has the option to add clips at the Unnumbered Markers.

ACR use of workdisk and scratchdisk when batch processing images
I am setting up a new PC optimized for PS, and I and pondering on the optimal disk setup for ACR when I batch process several images:
Alternative 1
2 physical disk in raid 0 with 2 partitions, partition 1 for scratch and the second for images to work on.
The question is if there ever will be a conflict in the sence that PS/ACR wants to access both scratch- and work partitions at the same time? If this should occure, I guess the following is a better setup??:

I am not limited to 2 drives. I am planning on having OS and programs on a third separate disk.
The point of using alternative 1 would be to use RAID 0 to obtain faster read/write (both for scratch and for reading and saving images on the work partition. However, if scratch usage competes with read/write to the work partition, I'm probably better off with alternative 2. If I work on one image this is simple, however I frequently batch process several RAW images. How does ACR/PS handle this? If all the images initially are read from the work partition and loaded into RAM + scratch and processed there, there will be no competition between the two partitions and I will benefit from the RAID solution. However, if the images are read one or just a few at a time, processed in RAM/scratch and then saved to the work partition, I imagine scratch and work partition could be competing for the the disks read/write head when finished images are being saved and ACR is "waiting" for more images to process?? -
Sliding Panels and Detail Regions
I'm trying to get a detailregion div to update whenever the
panel in a sliding panels widget changes. Basically, whatever panel
it's on, the detailregion div will change depending on what that

At the moment the player does stops when you go to another page (not slide) and doesnt keep playing. Its all working very well on the pages. See test page

Its just that on the shows events page there are sliding panels where we go through each show. For each new show (panle) she wants a different song to automatically play.
I have set it up with a seperate player for each slide but unlike going from page to page, from slide to slide the music doesnt stop by itself. The test site has the old version with just one player at the top.
There probably is something I could do in Flash but I dont know what. Its a complicated thing (for me)
I was wondering if I could just use html music for those slides. I only need one song to play for each slide. But I need the song to stop when it goes to the next slide, (and the next song to start obviously)
Any ideas are much appreciated. This job is supposed to be finished and its the last request from the client.

Is there a way to make the Markers panel work better with the Source panel?
My workflow is to first cut a multi-cam project (but it could be any long clip), then watch it all over again to make notes about what to keep and what to kick. So after I'm done cutting the initial rough cut of the entire hour or two of footage, I'll set focus to the Markers panel and begin watching the entire clip from the beginning to make notes as markers within the clip.
I'll play the clip back in the Source monitor and when something interesting happens, I'll type "M" on the keyboard. This places a marker in the clip (or multi-cam clip in my case). Without stopping the clip, I'll pick up my mouse and tap the Markers tab in the notes section for the last marker laid down. I'll type a note (something like "S" for interesting "Shot" or "HUGS" or "DANCING" to indicate the main action occuring at this point in the clip, or "Mike: Are we there, yet?" for a key dialog point). Next, I'll move my mouse back to the Source panel (the video has not stopped this entire time) and give any gray area of the Source panel a tap just to activate it. I'll watch for the next point of interest and repeat the process. M to mark. Move to the Markers panel. Tap the last marker. Type some notes. Move back to the Source panel and tap to give the panel focus. This works fairly well, but could be tuned, with just a few options, to make it more streamlined for this type of use.
What I'd like to be able to do is never leave the keyboard AND use minimal keyboard shortcuts. A perfect workflow might be:
1. Start playing the clip in the Source panel.
2. Type "M" to drop a marker. Focus would AUTOMATICALLY move to the notes section of that marker within the Markers panel, while the video continues to play on in the Source panel.
3. I type my notes into the Markers panel and hit Enter, or CTRL+Enter, which returns focus to the Source panel.
This would allow me to quickly build a list of markers and notes about a clip or sequence without ever stopping and without once touching my mouse (unless I get behind and need to backup). Currently, the only time I really get behind is when clicking on a window and not realizing that focus was not given to that window, so that when I hit "M" again, for example, I don't actually create a new marker, but rather add the letter "M" to my most recent Marker note.
All of this seems a very common task for anyone who works in reality TV, or even event videography. Who's with me? Can this be done already? If not, I'll submit a feature request. How would you make this feature better?Sounds like you did this on the fly.

Playlist: Insert button in Markers Panel is dimmed - no drag possibility of markers range
I'm trying to make a playlist for the first time, waweform mode. When highlighting markers in the panel I am not allowed to drag the selection to the playlist panel and the button for insertion in the Markers Panel is dimmed. What is wrong? thank you
The markers have to mark a Range ie. have a Start and an End time, before they can be dragged or inserted into the playlist. If you only have single Markers they can be merged into Ranges by selecting the In and Out marker and clicking on the Merge button. Otherwise when marking your Ranges select a range in the audio waveform before clicking the F8 or M button.

If the battery was completely drained the iPad will not respond for some time after connecting it to the charger. If the iPad restarts let it continue to charge until it's battery shows fully charged. If the iPad still does not start Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support. Be sure to back up your device before taking or sending it to Apple. -
I got locked out of Mac os 9 and now I can't get into OS 9 or OS X. All I see is the Macintosh SE and a finder face and text that says "mac os 9.2 welcome to mac os". I can't get into COntrol Panel to reset the password to allow me to get in.
Do you have OS X and OS 9 installed on your Mac? If so, startup with the Option key depressed. This will open the Startup Manager window. Select the OS you want to start from & click the right arrow.

Sequence Panel and CTI lock-up - Solved, problem due to 48kHz .wav audio files
Answering my own issue here, but maybe someone else will benefit as well...
PC, Windows 7
Upon opening an ongoing project I found the sequence panel and CTI were immediately unresponsive. The PC was also showing a high amount of background processing on the PrPro processes. I went back to a previous project version and everything was normal.
In the latest (problem) version I had added some VO to the sequence - audio .wav files encoded as 48kHz, 16bit.
I then renamed the audio file folder and reopened the newest project, causing PrPro to not find them and placed them offline. Everything returned to normal.
I then converted the 48kHz audio files to 44.1, 16bit and reopened the project, designating the new files to replace the old. Again, opeing the newest project, everything was OK and I was able to continue on.
It seems that the 48kHz files were causing PrPro to hard-loop in a background process in the indexing, conforming and peak file generation phase. I found when using the problematic project that the sequence panle adn CTI were actually responding, but only after a very long delay. An example would be to try to reposition the CTI with no response, then clicking play and stop in the playback window, then the CTI would update.That is odd
When I do DV project with video that is digitized by my old Pinnacle DV500 card, the audio inside the DV AVI is always 48khz 16bit stereo... and I do, of course, create a project to match the files -
Somehow files in Acrobat were corrupted. had to have cmputer guy delete those before reinstall. reinstalled. I can create a pdf and email it but cannot print to printer. what to do.

Are you able to print document using any other program?
What exactly happens when you click to 'Print'.

Is there a way to permanently locke a position? No unlocking possible?
I have created a template in InDesign which our company uses to create "Job Sheets" for Architectural projects that we have completed.
At times, there are multiple people who use these templates.
To ensure that our Job Sheets are consistent, we like to lock certain image frames and text boxes.
It is very important that these objects not be moved because we create many Job Sheets and they all must be consistant.
We want the user to be able to change photos and text, but not the position and size of the text boxes and image frames.
I know that we can lock the position of these objects, but anyone can just as easily unlock them.
We want them to be locked either permanently, or to be locked with a password.
I don't think this is possible based on the research I have done.
But, can someone suggest an alternative that will accomplish the same thing?Anyone who can’t follow simple directions such as “don’t unlock that frame position” needs to be better trained or fired.

Using a Meter control in LV Touch Panel, and using shared variables that are custom controls.
I Just started using LV touch Panel module with an NI TPC-2106.
I have two differenct problems:
1) I was planning on using the "Meter" control quite a bit. I can set up the meter exactly how I like on the host PC, but on the touch Panel computer it seems to ignore my adjustments, mainly the start and end of the scale - i.e. I would like control to run from 0 to 360 with 0 straight up, using the entire circle. However, on the Touch panel computer it always puts 0 at about 7 o'clock and 360 at about 5 o'clock. I have also tried adding markers to no avail.
2) I am communicating with a compact fieldpoint controller. I can creat a shared variable that is a simple double with no problems. However, I have some shared variables that use a custom control for the variable type - bascially a cluster with a couble doubles, a time stamp, and an enumeration. It lets me drag the shared variable into my diagram, but it seems to ignore it when I run it.Ipshita_C,
- I am using LV 8.6.1f1and LV Touch Panel 8.6.1.
- I have attached a simplified VI that shows how I want to use the meter. Notice that the placement of the endpoitns does not work correctly on the touch panel, and that it ignores the arbitrary markers that I placed.
- I also have included an XY graph control that displays on the TPC with margins around the graph area that I removed from the graph control.
- For the shared variable, it appears to be an issue related to the touch panel, not fieldpoint. I found another thread in this forum that mentioned that clusters containing Enumerations do not work in shared variables on the touch panel. I changed the enumeration to an integer and it now works fine.
In general, there seem to be a disappointing number of limitations in the touch panel implementation. My biggest concern is that I have not found any documentation from NI that lists these limitations. I seem to have to try things out and see what works and what does not work. Can you point me to a comprehensive list of touch panel modules limitations?

Windows 7 and Multiple Monitor Issues
Alright, I have spent the past 3 days searching these forums as well as on Microsoft's support pages and all of Google to find the answer to my issue and it seems as though I'm the only one who is running into this problem.
I have a 15 inch Macbook Pro with the GeForce 9600M GT Nvidia Graphics card with the latest version of Mac OSX and Bootcamp installed on it. I have Windows 7 installed in bootcamp. I just purchased a Mini DisplayPort to VGA cord with a VGA cord so as to connect my computer to my Sony Bravia HDTV to use as a second monitor. I plug in the cords, plug them into my TV, and put it into the proper input and it works like a charm. Then I go and boot up in bootcamp under Windows 7, plug in the cord, and my screen gets to the "starting windows" logo and then it goes black. I push ever button, I try control alt delete, nothing. I have to hold down the power button to turn off the computer and then turn it back on.
I turn it on, boot up into Windows 7, let it load, then plug in the cord, and the computer display instantly goes black, again, and yet nothing displays on the TV. Again, I try everything to no avail, so I power it off and back on. I go through this at least 10 times to no avail. I finally give up and try again the next day.
Next day, I plug it in, and the monitor stays up, but yet nothing is displayed on the TV. I go to my resolution settings in Windows, and go to the multiple monitors tab, and select every possible option (extend, duplicate, etc) and nothing will display on my TV. I try to change the settings to which it responds with "unable to save display settings" and nothing changes. I attempt to enter the nvidia program and make changes that way. The TV is detected, but when I select it and attempt to apply anything, no changes take effect and I am left with only the laptop display. Keep in mind I uninstalled and reinstalled all of the video drivers and such.
Finally I get fed up so I purchase a Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapted and a DVI to HDMI adapter. I try again. Again in OSX it launches immediately, no problems. I go back into Windows, and immediately I'm dealing with the instant black screen.
I'm going crazy over here trying to figure this out. I know it's possible to do this because I've seen people on youtube doing this and again it works on OSX so why the heck won't it work? If anyone has any idea what's going on here please help me out. Thanks.JonMarx... I'm having the exact same problem. I'm in the exact same situation as you are. I'm going mad, and it's only by divine providence that I've finally located the only other person who knows what I've been going through. I've spent at least 20 hours trying to get this started back up, to no avail.
I had the secondary display working peachy for a while, long enough to configure everything to be exactly how I wanted it. I unplugged the monitor from the computer just to see what would happen, and that's when the problems started. I managed to get it to work one last time for a brief period a few hours later, but the way it just clicked on made it feel too good to be true.
I've had a wierd problem with a phantom display as well. The display will frequently show up as being available in both the nVIDIA panel and the windows settings, but if I apply the settings, they won't go through. I got a few screenshots of it the last time it happened.
I was just about to reinstall windows completely, but it seems that I'll just run into the same problem again if I do... Here's to hoping a solution is found. -
I am trying to update and install Photoshop CC 2014 from the Creative Cloud panel and my antivirus stops the installation and says the setup file and a droplet file have a trojan within them. The Trojan.Win32.Generic.pak!cobra is quarantined in my antivirus program. I can't believe others are not having this same issue! What do I do now?
Anti-malware software nowadays has a lot of heuristic behaviors - meaning it's probably not definitively detecting a virus, but spotting something it thinks smells vaguely like one. It's a transition (from hard detection to heuristics) that's been happening in recent years all across the anti-malware industry and a lot of folks are caught off guard by it. It's possible your antivirus software maker simply needs time to assimilate reports of false positives and make an exception for Adobe's software.
Considering that Adobe probably does some pretty tricky things to ensure people can't easily steal their software, that it is detected acting in a manner attributed normally to malware becomes a bit less surprising. But I don't think there's a virus in it.
Adobe does recommend stopping your antivirus software before installing.

I am having issues related to storage and I believe this is causing my computer to slow down. "Other" files part is the major occupier(180 GB). I have done Omni disk and multiple other cleaning(iTunes-device, restart, etc), yet have not been able to empty any more space, nor to speed up my computer? Any suggestions?
