Logic Pro 7.2 and Tascam FW-1884 Not Working
I recently upgraded to Logic Pro 7.2 and I'm using a Tascam FW-1884 as my audio interface / Control Surface. Everything was working fine in 7.1.1, but now it doesn't work correctly. When I press buttons and faders on the Tascam I see MIDI information changing in Logic, but not in any of the correct places. When I click on the screen controls in Logic the Tascam does reflect the same on the board, but not the other way around? I updates the Tascam Plug-In (.bundle) file, the Control Panel, and even the Firmware. Still does not work. The faders go up on boot-up and down when I quit the program, but that is it. Any help would be greatly appreciated? I'm using a Mac G5, dual 2.7ghz processors, and 2.5 gigs in RAM. My gut is telling me it's something with the upgrade, but maybe others have resolved the problem without reprogramming every control one by one.

I upgraded my Mac Pro to Yosemite and now CS5 does not work.

Yes. The Yosemite upgrade is notorious for damaging CS5 installs. Please reinstall and let us know how it goes.
Also make sure Yosemite is upgraded to 10.10.1
The reinstall will set your instal to 12.0.0 If Help > Updates does not work, go here Adobe - Photoshop : For Macintosh
download and apply the updates for Photoshop and Adobe Camera Raw.

I just allowed FireFox to update itself. Now the version is at 25.0.1
Running on Windows XP Pro version 2002 SP2. FireFox has ALWAYS worked. NOW IT DOESNT. I can't even use it to connect to my own router login screen. IT IS DEAD.

The detailed instructions go into firewall config bs. HOW DO I remove Firefox from my program's list of trusted or recognized programs? What does this have to do with Firewalls? Why is this happening in the first place? Can I revert to an earlier version. My Firewall is OFF. These instructions suck. -
Final Cut Pro and Tascam FW-1884
I trying to configure the Tascam FW-1884 to work with Final Cut. Currently I can get the faders and pan controls to work by selecting:
Control Surface Type: Mackie Control
Input Connection: Tascam FW-1884 Control Port
Output Connection: Tascam FW-1884 Control Port
The control surface is connect via firewire, I'm not using any additional MIDI connections in or out of the computer.
I would like to be able to access more of the buttons and features of the control surface from within FCP. What is the correct way to configure the two. Is levels and pan the only functions that will work with FCP?
Any help is great appriciated. I've searched online and cannot find any documentation on this topic.

dk.Just talked with apple support again. It seem the functionality I am getting is all that is available at this time. I was just expecting to be able to do more by assigning buttons for short cuts and having eq control etc. Maybe there is a third party plug in to expand FCP's control surface abilities or apple will include greater support on a future version.
Let me know if anyone has additional advise or knowledge on the subject.

how many computers can i load my downloaded logic pro on? and can i sell my logic 8... or do i need it?
This is the mainadvantage of purchaseing apps from the app store:
Go to the "App Store" app under the Apple menu.
Login with your Apple ID account (the one you purchase Logic)
Go to the Purchases tab where you find all the apps that you purchased with that Apple ID
Any app that is not installed on the current computer is ready for download
Download and install the app
Done.

If your info is correct you need to first buy Snow Leopard from the Apple on-line store ($20) install and update to 10.6.8 and then buy Lion from the App Store for $20.

After Installing Logic Pro X, my Logic Pro 9's 32-bit AUs don't work. The 32-bit bridge doesn't open and run either in my Logic pro 9. My 32-bit AU plugins are crossed out. Help?

LogicX will never be able to use 32-bit instruments without a third party solution, nor will it ever include the Bridge. At least according to the people I know. -
Closed a logic pro x project and when asked to save i said no did i lose all i did or is there a way i can recover the files??
Your only parachute would be Time Machine (if you have it running).
Logic's Auto Save feature doesn't help you at that point because that data is reset if you close the Project (or save the Project). However, the recorded audio files should be still in the Projects File (inside the Media folder of the Package File).
My guess is that this is actually a bug because it leaves orphan files behind that cannot be accessed from the Logic Project itself.

I accidentally deleted all of my Logic Pro X files and put them in my trash but now that I copied them back to my documents they all play in the wrong places in my projects

I had a code to get logics pro for free and after it installed its asking me for a serial number but it never gave me one to put in, it just started downloading and then asked me. Does anyone know what to do from here.

Problem: I bought Logic Studio 8, then the Logic Pro 9 Update, and now lost
I can't start Logic, after...
- I had a running Logic Pro 9 system, that I installed with an upgrade to my bought Logic Studio 8. Ok, back then.
- Then I did a big mistake: I have thrown away (because I did not think it was necessary to keep) the manual and the CD of Logic Studio 8. So I lost the Serial number, which was printed in the manual, and I lost the CD too.
- Back then, that was not a problem, because I had a running system.
- Now I tried to install on a second machine, and I could not. I ordered a new serial number, and I received it from Apple support. But it looks like I have received some Logic Studio number and in the mail they don't say which version. Since it is called Logic Studio, I assume the serial is for version 8. But I can't install that because I lost the version 8 CD too...
- So I now need a new Logic Studio version 8 CD ? I tried to order that by fax (the same support number that also sent me the serial), but no response from Apple.
- Now I have moved my main machine to another Mac Pro (Firewire Transfer) and now I must also enter the serial number and none of the ones that I have works.
I feel like Apple should provide me a complete set of Logic Pro 9, CD and serial. This would make my life easy again. I would also cover the expenses.
What shall I do?
Who can I contact?

So that's settled then. Move on over to the Apple Store. A complete set of Logic Pro 9, CD and serial comes at 499.-
If you have proof of purchase of L8, it might be less, but that would imply you haven't thrown that away too.

Please help! Itunes fails to open on my macbook pro. I have removed itunes and reinstalled it and it still will not work!
Try removing the Genius database. In the "Finder" go to the /username/Music/iTunes/ folder and delete the "iTunes Library Genius.itdb" file. This may allow the program to launch again. This file will be recreated upon first use of the "Genius" feature.
