Looking for the Mac OS 9 iDisk Public Folder icon

I was wondering if anyone could help me out. I'm creating an icon set of Mac OS 9 icons for OS X. I've been able to locate the regular iDisk icon, as it's stored in the Mac OS 9 "System" file. But, what I can't seem to locate is the iDisk Public folder icon. I found a pic of what it looks via Google Images:

If you are accessing iDisk while booted to OS 9, you are probably using the utility Goliath to do so.
The icon you reference looks much like those in the set used by Goliath, which can be found in the icl8 resource in the Goltiath program.
Tip - in OS 9, when you copy-paste an icon to a folder to give the folder a custom icon, an invisible file named "icon" is created and placed in the folder. This invisible file contains the "icl" family of resources for the custom icon. This resource is easily opened using ResEdit, and perhaps by other icon manipulation utilities, and eliminates a lot of the clutter associated with opening a program in ResEdit to get to the icl resources.
Because of changes to the icon formats ResEdit itself no longer works well in OS 9.1 and later for alteration or modification of an icon. However, there is a utility that will allow you to create custom icons or modify existing ones -

Looking for the App icon for Illustrator CS1 (version 11) Mac - just the icon.

I'm working on a project and need the transparent icon from Illustrator CS (version 11).
It's a magenta flower on a white box.
Looks like this:
(This one is not transparent whereas the actual icon is)
If you have CS installed on a Mac, it would really be great it if you could Control-Click on the actual App, choose Show Package Contents. Then look in Contents -> Resources and find a file called All_Application_Icon.icns.
Here's what it looks like for CS2:
Double-click that file (it will open in Preview on the Mac) and then choose File > Export and select PNG. Then simply attached that PNG to a post here using the little camera icon.
If you are on a Windows machine, I'm also looking for the Illustrator 4 icon. There was no version 4 for the Mac so I don't have access to that icon at all. It's possible the 4 icon looks like version 5 through 6.......
But I don't know. It may look closer to version 3....

Netflix does in fact have the old version of their app available.
In iTunes on your computer, download the App you want a compatible version for using the same Apple Id that the iPad has for the App Store. For Paid Apps its best to consult with the App maker to make sure there is a compatible App. With the App Downloaded to iTunes on a computer you can go into The App Store App on your iPad, Tap on Purchased, and Look for the App there. Tap on it to begin the download. It will likely say its not compatible, but if there is a compatible version it will offer to download it. Install the latest compatible version of an app on an earlier version of iOS or OS X

I had a similar problem myself. This is what helped me.
I went to the App store app, scrolled to the bottom, logged out of the account, re logged in with my Apple ID. Then went back to app updates. Once I put in my ID password all was fine.

All I had to do was complain. I synced my iPhone to the Windows machine, checked the other account at iTunes prompting (where no apps had shown up previously), reconnected the iPad, and 140 apps downloaded including the App Store. I have no idea why.

I'm trying to update my lightroom 5 from 5.2 to 5.6 but it states that it cannot find Adobe_Lightroom_X64.msi? I've tried to look for the file but it cannot find it?

I'm not much of a computer person and when I tried to update the program it wouldn't process it and is looking for the Adobe_Lightroom_X64.msi file.
Has anybody had the same issue and a possible fix?

You may benefit from disabling Show on Lock Screen for Messages and Mail in Settings -> Notification Center -> Mail/Messages.
You can disable Show on Lock Screen for a particular app in Settings > Notification Center > <app name>.

I'm setting up an office-to-office videoconferencing system. I've got the video down, but I'm looking for the best audio I can get. The sound will be stereo output, but I need really good microphone input. Echo cancelling is a must, but the Windows XP echo cancellation sounds like a bad telephone connection. Does anyone have any ideas? Are any of the mic inputs better on one SoundBlaster than on the others?

Iam looking for the image file that is used on the second monitor when an app is in full screen mode. not the NSTexturedFullScreenBackgroundColor.png as thats for the fullscreen background generally and not the one for the dashboard eather.
I dont like the gray background on the second monitor that comes up when an app is in fullscreen mode and want to change it.

I am looking for software to store photos with. I am not a fancy photographer, and really am just looking for the digital version of a photo album. iPhoto is not cutting it, mainly because it does not back up and restore easily on an external HD.

That's how Time Machine and iPhoto now work. Restore the library to one of the external HDs, check it for the photos you want, export them to the boot drive and delete the restored library.
If you know the file name of the photo you're looking for you can search for them in the TM backup using Find Any File.
My workflow allows me to do that:
1 - upload new photos to a folder on the Desktop.
2 - name the folder to represent the contents and date: 01/03/10-Toads Bday
3 - use a file renaming app to sequentially rename the photos in the folder to: 2010-01-03-Toads Bday-001.JPG, -002,JPG, -003.JPG, etc.
4 - import the folder into iPhoto creating an Event with the same title as the folder.
Now I can search for those file by file name with any app of my choosing.

Sandboxing for the Mac App store

I'm giving it one last try before giving up on getting i Dir app on the Mac App store. This is is where I'm at now.
Attempt 1
I made a app bundle as described in other discussions (a outer starter bundle that starts the director bundle, with a start.ini file alongside it). When sandboxing the director bundle, it can't find the start.ini file anymore, no read-access. I used the temporary-exception.files.absolute-path.read-only=/ giving the app read rights to the whole system, so the user could move the app anywhere. And it worked, the app was sandboxed and codesign, great! But of obvious Apple rejected it.
Ok i didn't really expect them to let it through with those read-rights.
Attempt 2
Same as attempt 1, but this time I hard coded the path so the app had to be in the /Applications folder, and change temporary-exception.files.absolute-path.read-only=/Apllications/my great app/Contents/Resources/ (where the start.ini and the dir bundle is located).
Again it worked find, and if you moved it out of the Applications folder the starter app prompted one to move it back.
And Apple rejected it again, not letting me use temporary-exception (I have appealed this but most likely with no success)

This is where I'm stuck. This time I let the dir bundle inherit the sandbox from the starter app, and it works, the dir app can find it's start.ini file without any temporary-exception, yeahh great! you would think, but no.
For some reason the dir app can't find it's xtras any more?! I tried placing a copy of them in every folder just to see if the link was working only pointing wrong, but no.
I then tried using openXlib and it works for some xtras, like buddy api, but not for the shockwave 3D, mixer and Text...
So has anyone any ideas how to proceed? And waiting for Dir 12 is not the solution I'm looking for.
