Looking for someone to do paid scripting work

Hey,
I'm in a bit of a bind with InDesign scripting - I've got a huge amount of it to do in very little time. I've hired someone on Elance who claims to know about Extendscript etc to help me, but I am slightly dubious. I thought coming to the Adobe forums might be a good idea, as you guys will probably know what you are talking about!
Is there anyone around here offering scripting services for pay? It's quite an interesting project, automating the production of a certain type of book. I am fairly proficient in scripting myself after having written a script to do a similar thing last year, but simply can't deal with the amount of work I have.
I'm looking for someone who really knows InDesign and scripting inside out and who would be able to advise me on best practice, rather than the current situation where I'm instructing someone fairly unskilled how to do things the way I've just sort of 'worked them out'.
Apologies if this is in the wrong place; I'm pretty desperate!

There's a lot of very qualified folks here on this forum.
The big question is what's the scope of the project as well as time restrains.
I, for example would not be able to look at any sizeable project for at least a month.
Give some more details on what's involved, and someone will probably be able to help...

The script needs to create the pages in an Indesign Doc.
One the pages are created we would be adding in custom pages at beginning and at other periodic stages in the document.

Looking for someone on x86_64 to test a snippet of C#

I'm having trouble getting a piece of C# code to work. It's 100% correct and was found working by two users running x86, however on my x86_64 it doesn't.
It should display an icon in the notification area ('system tray'). For me it won't show the icon in gnome, but neither in openbox + trayer. The other two x86(!) users tested in on Gnome as well, and did get the icon to show up.
I'm looking for someone else on x86_64 to test this code, to eliminate (or confirm) that it's a very obscure x86_64 bug. Make sure you're fully synched up - that is Mono 1.9.1, with (preferably) Gnome 2.22.3 (but if it won't work on KDE/Xfce/anything else that pretty much identifies the problem as well).

Compiling is easy, `mcs -r:System.Drawing,System.Windows.Forms Test.cs` should do the trick, followed by `mono Test.exe`. You will get a messagebox, and at that time it *should* display the icon.

I use KDE 3.5.9. I could try it with KDE 4-svn later as well

I tried that file and when I disable autohiding of my panel, it works correctly:

If I hide the panel manually (by using the hide button on the right), and I show it again, the icon disappears, but the space is still occupied:

When I have auto-hiding disabled, it appears fine (just like in the first picture), but when the panel hides and appears again I get black rectangle:

However, I have a 4 minute video that is outside of the limits of my machine. I am assuming there is a way to dropfile the project & have someone else export it for me & dropfile it back to me as a HD video I can post on Vimeo. I am willing to pay for this service.

I may not be doing this correctly, I created the new library & when I tried to copy the the clips it said this:
You are editing compound clips or multicam clips between libraries.
Final Cut Pro will copy files and create new parent clips in the library "Movies".
The new clips will be independent of the original parent clips.
Media stored in external folders will be linked to but not copied.

I'm a novice to AppleScript and I'm looking for a script that will be useful for me as a translator: a script to split up a glossary with source-side alternatives, separated by semicolons. As a matter of fact I'm not sure whether this is something that can easily be done with AppleScript or better should be handled with Perl or another solution.
This is how the glossary looks (TAB stands for the tabulator character):

If I want to split up the right side of the tab too, I could of course use a spreadsheet program and swap the columns. But that is a little clumsy, especially with large glossaries (500,000+ lines).
Would it be possible that you provide a script for 'the right side' too?
So that I'd get:
α-Quarz TAB SiO2
α-Quarz TAB quartz
α-Quarz TAB citrine
α-Quarz TAB rose
etc.

I have to say this is the hardest thing to diagnose that I have come up against over the past 10 years! Completely out of ideas.
If this was just the Intuos3 with the mouse on my G5 then I would just say it is a bad mouse switch, but when a different mouse on two different tablets (Intuos 2 and Intuos3) are both exhibiting the same behavior on two different computers (a G4 Laptop and a G5 Tower) - then something is wrong.
The only other thing I have done to both computers recently is I installed Adobe CS3. Have any of you that have responded also installed CS3?
This is not a Wacom Driver issue, because if you plug in a tablet without the Wacom Driver installed, the mouse should still work like a standard mouse and I am having trouble even then. Even during a restart of the computer as soon as the Wacom tablet blue light comes on - even before the desktop appears, if I hold down the mouse button the tablet will irratically flicker between blue (receiving power from USB) to green (mouse button engaged)? (Again it does not do this with the Pen - it always works fine - just any Wacom mouse).
If it were a USB power issue the tablet light would go off and on, but it doesn't - one of the LEDs is always lit. If it were a tablet grid issue, the Pen would also display the same symptoms - it doesn't. It acts like the mouse does not have enough "consistent power" output to keep the grid engaged when activated which would be easily explained by a bad mouse switch or for sure if the mouse had a bad battery, but I don't think the mouse has a battery does it? And none of this explains why I am getting this on two tablets with two mice (unless the mouse actually does have a battery and both are bad)?
Anyway I am 95% sure this is a communication problem between the mouse and the tablet - not the tablet and the computer and Driver is not in the equation.
Really stumped.

I am looking to find a programmer with a working knowledge of writing plug-ins for Premiere to write a custom plug-in for Premiere CS5.
The plug-in is extremely simple. It will be a Video Effect that can be applied to a clip on the timeline. It has one control that slides the top half of the clip to the left and the bottom half of the clip to the right; by a user defined number of pixels. However the plug-in then needs some kind of global control that allows the user to change the functionality of ALL instances of the effect in the current sequence - so at a command they slide the ENTIRE image left or right, and not just the top/bottom half. This could even be implemented by writing 3 plug-ins and shutting down Premiere, substituting the plug-in file on disk and re-starting it.
The reason we want this is that it will enable us to handle changing the depth of stereoscopic 3D clips in a Cineform workflow.

The program needs to, when opened, change all bluetooth devices on the list, to always allow connections. So all the devices on that list are set to always allow and not always ask.
If this is not possible to do, please tell me, or if you could make this program for me, tell me too.
The program must be fast and silent. I need it to just work when opened, without a message coming up or anything, this will allow me to quickly and easily proceed with my business
The reason I need this program, is because I have I REALLY long list of devices, and it really does take a long time to change the settings to allow connection on all of them. (I need to allow connections for the specific programs I test and use, on my PC)

Bluetooth pairing cannot be overridden nor done programmatically. Ability to connect to another device would always depend on the owner of that device having maintained the BT address of your device in the list of known devices.
Bluetooth connection can be done through a program, but there is nothing to be gained from that unless the program needs the BT connection to transfer data between devices, as the connection is in use as long as the program holds on to it, and disconnected when the program exits (if not before).
