Losing signal on some computers

So we have 4 computers and 1 Playstation 3 in the house. An iMac that's about 2 years old, and G4 PowerBook which is about 7 years old, and Macbook Pro which is days old and a PC laptop which is a few years old. We have a LinkSys router. The iMac pretty much stays connected 24/7. The G4 would knock off all the time. Thought it was because it was ancient. But both the new MacBook Pro and PC, as well as the PS3 get knocked off all the time as well. Anyone know any reason why the iMac wouldn't have the same problems? And would switching to an apple router do anything to remedy the problem?

I've been given the unenviable task of troubleshooting and installing/distributing software written by a former co-worker. I've modified the LabVIEW code and built an .exe file. I've successfully installed the Labview .exe file on several computers, but it won't work on some others. What's more baffling is that I installed it successfully on one computer, uninstalled it, and tried reinstalling it with no success. In fact, it's a new error (Dr. Watson for Windows NT application error). It doesn't help that I have different versions of LabVIEW and Matlab on the target computers. Some have LabVIEW 5.1, some
have 5.0, and some don't have it at all. Some have Matlab 5.2, some have 5.3 (R11) and some have 6.0 (R12). It's also not clear to me where the Matlab m files should be located. I'm not sure if it's a LabVIEW Runtime Engine problem, or if it's a Matlab problem. I've also wondered how LabVIEW and Matlab talk to each other. When LabVIEW calls Matlab, it seems that Matlab is running in the background. In other words, clicking on the Matlab Command Window and typing "whos" or any other command/variable doesn't work.

Can't drag files into the queue window on some computers

For some reason, on my new desktop and my laptop. I cannot drag files into the Queue window in Media encoder. I have tried dragging avi's, wav, and mp4. As the files I am dragging hover over the queue window, my mouse turns into the "circle with a line through it" pointer and I cannot add the files that way. I can click the plus sign and then browse to its location to add. I just want to have my drag n drop feature working again... Any ideas why i can on some computers and not others?
I did try running media encoder as administrator. All my computers are running windows 8.1.

I am having the same issue here... just upgraded my 5s to 7.1.1 (never jailbroken - factory unlocked) and then boom... NO Service!!! HELP! Flash header cutting off, but only on some computers

Our site has been up for approx 9 months and there's been no problem. Now all of a sudden, on SOME computers that were perfectly fine, the flash header is getting cut off.   Well, I guess magnified is a better description...
  I have not been able to recreate the issue on my screen. All the "guilty" computers have ie8, while I am stubbornly still on ie7, which is why I was thinking ie8 might be the culprit. However my bus. partner has multiple systems running and it looks perfectly fine on ie8, chrome, and firefox. Even problem computers have moments of clarity, for instance it happened on my husband’s pc then I refreshed the images and it corrected itself. Then at the customer site, I opened the url on one of the “offending” computers, it was cut off again until I logged in…then it corrected itself immediately. But when I tried that on the computer I am testing today, it did not work. Then I was checking the Compatibility View Settings within ie8, I unchecked the box regarding Intranets, and it worked. Thinking I’d found something, I went back in and re-checked it, and the problem was back, ok….now I really thought I was getting somewhere. But when I went in again and un-check the box….nothing…still wrong. Over the past 2 days, I’ve updated their Flash Players, made sure all the images were the same size, deleted and re-uploaded the pix and xml files, contacted the skin author, anything I could think of. The author also checked all the CSS and site setting, everything looked in order. Also tried using the Compatibility View feature, setting that site to only be shown in IE 7, it did not work, which makes me think maybe it’s not the browser. I just attempted to back the computer down to an earlier version of Flash Player (9 as opposed to 10.1). Also did not work.
Of course, the client is freaking thinking about the big client that is due to check them out this week. I’ve been searching every support/community forum looking for someone else with this problem…if you have any answers or know of any better places for me to look, please let me know.

Hi, I just checked your site and it looked good to me, headers changing nicely and no glitches. The header and the body of the site filled my 19" monitor which I use with my work computer. XP/SP3/IE6 with Flash Player 10.1.82.76. Yes that is IE6:-) In your screen shot, there are extra wide margins(empty space) on the left and the right side. And it blocks the text. That did not appear when I went to the site. However there was extra space on the left and right sides both, but not so much that the entire text could not be seen. On www.bing.com the site comes much closer to the scroll bar.
Your Tech experience is way above my head as I am not into what you do. However I do pretty well at researching so I'll see what I can find that might point you into the right direction.
My only observation is that this happened "all of a sudden". Some kind of change must have happened. Could a user have made a change on the computers that are having this issue? Some Anti-Virus update?
I don't really think it is Flash Player related and for this reason: It is not consistent. Most all of the time some program with certain add ons into the browser, especially Anti-Virus add ons are what affects the Flash Player ActiveX Control that is in the browser. Flash Player is a browser plugin so any add on in the browser is a negative or a positive.
You may want to use the Adobe SEARCH field or the SEARCH at the top for Forums. You would know what key words would work best. The Forum SEARCH may be better to use since it covers all Adobe Product Forums.

Airport Keeps Losing Signal!!!

Hi every body!
I'm using a powerbook and a Ibook and i've just installed Apple remote desktop 2.2 but when i'm using it to manage one of my computer.....the airport of the two PWB an IB keep losing signal and i have to reconect it for lots of times.
Does anyone know what happen with it?If you're having the same problem,please share it.....any help would be appreciate.

Sky HD box keeps losing signal but is fixed with a power cycle

Hi all, I'm having issues with my Sky HD box. Every day (recently), I'm having to powercycle the box to get a signal.After the power recovery the signal is fine, so I think the dish is fine. It's seems the the box is losing signal while it's on stand by mode. Any ideas? Thanks in advance Jason

I had this problem too but in the end the solution was for Sky to come out and replace the dish and LNBs, since when the signal has been perfect. I would check what signal strength you are getting - I believe it's in the settings menu.

Report doesn't show some parts in some computers

I am currently stumped as to why one of the oracle reports that were made wont display properly on some selected computers.
The system is installed in a dedicated server and the user's computers also have installed oracle's on them, no db.
Perhaps you guys might have any idea or answer to this.

Wired 802.1X with ISE | Some computers cannot be authenticated

Hi,
We have a customer which is using ISE with 802.1X in order to authenticate computers. All the computers have their own certificate and most of them can be authenticated fine! The issue is that some computers cannot be authenticated.
The port configuration the authenticator (Cisco WS-C4510R+E IOS 151-1) are configured exactly the same:

authentication event no-response action authorize vlan 111
authentication host-mode multi-domain
authentication port-control auto
mab
dot1x pae authenticator
dot1x timeout tx-period 5
But for some reason some PC cannot be authenticated. A wireshark capture on the computer not working shows that the computer receives a EAP Request Identity and also send a Response Identity to the switch but then nothing happens more:
So the process is stucked in the EAP-Response/identity. I attach a debug capture on the switch for one of the computer which cannot be authenticated.
It is really wired as most of the computer can be authenticated without any issues.

I continued the debugging with the following debugs:

And now I see the following interesting difference between the 2 clients:
This one works:

Both clients are testet one at a time on interface Gi3/34.
The inteface that denies the MAC move action is Gi1/2. This is an interface connected to another network that both of the clients was previously connected to, before connecting them to the Dot1X network (In this case, interface Gi3/34)
So now the question is what the MAC move action tries to do, and why it is denied...
If i do a MAC-address table lookup of the affected address, it gives nothing! The MAC is not associated to interface Gi1/2 int the MAC table, even though this is where the auth-manager tries to move it from:
SW_3.sal#sh mac add add 3860.775d.cf06
No entries present.
If the MAC is not present in the address-table, how can it be associated to Gi1/2 ?
I found out that the following command clear "whatever state" is inconsistent:
clear authentication sessions mac xxxx.xxxx.xxxx
And now the client can access the network!

"Error: PLL is not configured on Oracle server." appears on some computers

Hello,
We configured the custom.pll file so that we can capture UPK with context IDs.
We can capture UPKs just fine and it records all available context IDs on MOST computers. However, we have a couple of people that get the custom.pll error (Error: PLL is not configured on Oracle server.), and obviously, their UPK captures do not capture the context IDs.
We all use the same version (UPK Client 3.6.1) and we all are capturing in the same instance where custom.pll has been configured.
Why are some computers getting the error?? How can we resolve this error?
Can somebody help?
Here are some of our specs:
UPK: Client 3.6.1
EBS: 12.1.2
Computer: Windows XP Professional SP3

Hello,
You are correct that the document describes configuring the PLL for help menu integration, but it is necessary that this configuration be done before recording, which is why you're seeing the messages. We do not want customers to record content and later find out that the PLL was not configured properly for deploying via the help menu.
If you follow the steps in this document, the error messages should go away.

Swing Program Slow on Some Computers Second Instance Always Fast

I am having a unusual and frustrating problem. I have a java swing application compiled and run with 1.5.06.
On some computers the program runs very slowly and takes a long time to paint to the screen. If however, you run a second instance of the program the second instance runs very fast. If you close the first instance the second instance remains fast.
Running the java console first will also make my program fast.
On other PC's with the identical hardware it runs fine the first time. All the computers involved run windows 2000.
Please help with this weird problem. Thanks.

It seems that you need to fine tune ur JVM based you requirement.
Try setting the max heap size.
Also, You can tyr -XX jvm option. But the decision purely depends on you applications behaviour.
