Lost fonts and formatting

I created a site with iweb and uploaded it to GoDaddy using their own FTP. Unfortunately, I lost all of the font information (type, size and color). Any suggestions?
I also lost the photos, but I was able to re-load them and now they are working fine. Is it possible to embed the fonts or pull a file over with the upload?

Doing that most likely resulted in lots of your files not being uploaded. Use a real ftp app instead. Some tips:

Keynote font and format changing upon paste

Hello Apples.
I have a strange bug with Keynote. When I copy and paste text or graphics from one slide to another in the same presentation, the formatting gets lost. It never happened before. For example, if I copy a text field that is in Arial, when I paste it on another slide, the font switches to Gill Sans and changes size. Also, if I copy a colored rectangle, when I paste it, it switches back to being filled by that horrible default grey mess. I have resported to using "duplicate", then editing the resulting text.
Is there a setting that I may have changed? Thanks in advance.

Still no solution. If I adjust a page that was created in iWeb 08 (now converted to iWeb 09) and republish it in iWeb 09 some font sizes and formatting can change. Any suggestions of how to combat this problem would be gratefully accepted. Thanks

Something is wrong with my fonts management in text editing apps, i.e. TextEdit an Mail. If I choose a font or style from the lists in the Font dialog from the Format menu, nothing happens to the selected text. I can however change the size, both from the Fonts list and using the +/- keyboard commands. - AppleWorks 6 fonts seem to work normally. - What is wrong, and what can I do?

How to keep all text and formats the same on multiple computers?

I'm creating a file in InDesign CS6 on my Windows computer. I keep everything on my flash drive. When I go to school, I bring my flash drive with me and open it up on the Mac computer, but then there are are compatibility issues. There seems to be missing fonts and formats but the school uses the same version of InDesign I do. Now I was told a lot of things of how to keep the fonts and formats the same (embed the links, package the files, outline the text, save as IDML). However, it is not clear to me what each of those options do, so I don't know when or why to use them. So I just want to make sure that when I bring in my file in next Monday, I won't have any missing fonts or formats. What would you suggest is the proper things to do to keep everything the same on multiple computers? And could you please explain why?

If you want cross-paltform comaptibility limit the fonts to OpenType or Windows TrueType formats, both of which work on both Mac and PC. To avoid missing font warnings the fonts must either be installed on each computer, or they must be in a folder named Document Fonts in the same location as the .indd file they are to work with. Packaging the file will build taht folder for you.
the rest of the stuff in your list won't help you. .idml would allow you to open on an older version, but does nothing for your situation. Embedding the links will keep you from having missing links, but so will packaging, and embedded links will make the file much larger and harder to work with.
For goodness sake, don't even think about outlining the text. It stops being text when you do that and you can no longer edit it.
And finally. do yourself a big favor and don't attempt to actually work on your file directly from the flash drive. Copy the whole package folder to the hard drive, work on it, then copy back. You don't want to know how many files are fatally damaged by write errors on flash drives.

Error in Portal Navigation - Font Type, Size and formatting.

We carry through all the tips postadas in the SDN to solve this problem, however we the same have some different stations with problem.
We are using the Bi 7,0 Portal, and we are with problems in the layout: <b>Font Type, Size and formatting</b>, and WEB.

How do I select and format fonts when creating a web Journal in Aperture?

I am creating a web journal in Aperture 3.5.1. There is a not very functional way to create text boxes and add text interspersed with images.
I can open the font window, but highlighting text and formatting it in the font window has no effect.
In addition, the size of the font actually changes from paragraph to paragraph for no apparent reason.
How do I format text when creating a web journal?
After I have created the web site, I can open the html file and edit the source code, but this is very tedious.

There is a picture in picture function in iMovie'09 - but very basic and
to move around in a photo You got the "Ken-Burns effect".
Still to do this with 100% control there are only two good alternatives
• QuickTime Pro ($30 QT-Pro update) - Hard to use very demanding
• FinalCut Express ($199) - Hard to get up and running
(Steap learning curve to start with) - Then Pic in pic is dead easy.

Looks like ACAF file format for fonts has significant advantages in terms of memory to display CJK (Chinese, Japanese, Korean) characters presumably if embedded into SWF file.

You have many formats available in Sap scripts.. Go the the paragraph formats and you will see many under family option for texts...
Create a paragraph format for your output and give to the text
DP 'Hello World'.
Here DP is the name of the paragraph format. and Hello world will be printed on the window with that size and format of the DP.

I didn't say double-click on the tab. I said double-click on the tab selector's text. You need to use the "hand" tool if you have "Lock automatic tool selection" off in your LabVIEW options.

SmartForms Character Formats, Fonts, and Sizes?

Does anyone have any good documentation, links, or suggestions related to character formats, fonts, and sizes we can use in SmartForms? My biggest challenges are trying to decide which fonts and their sizes to use in my windows.
For instance, what are good small, or medium, or large, font types to use under different scenarios, and what suggested sizes should be used with them? It would be nice to have some kind of a tip sheet that would refer to this. Because I spend more time playing with configuration then I do actually coding.
Open to all or any suggestions. Thank-You.

Font Colors and Formatting Refuse to Stick

I've been having a problem with iChat where, when I IM somebody with iChat, my fonts and colors show up as I see them, but when I IM somebody with AIM for Windows from my iChat account, it simply shows up as black on white.
I've already gone through preferences and set my fonts up there, but after one message to someone on AIM, my formatting goes back to black on white.
How do I get the fonts to stay permanent?

Hi Derek,
It is not your problem.
It is AIM's way of showing your text.
The best it can do it to colour your Name and this appears to be random on the PC AIM app.

How to change DEFAULT font and font size on new Pages document

When I open a new Page document, it always comes in with a default font and font size. I know how to change those settings on the open document.
I want to know how to change the ~default~ font and font size so that a new Page document always opens with those default settings.

Welcome to the forum.
Make a document to your liking.
Change the Body style and any other styles in :
+Menu > Show Styles Drawer > click on the little triangle next to Body > redefine Style from Selection+
Capture the page:
+Menu > Format > Advanced > Capture Pages… > Name it > OK+
+Menu > Format > Advanced > Manage Pages… > Delete other Sections/Pages > OK+
Save as a template:
+Menu > File > Save as Template…+
+Menu > Pages > Preferences > General Preferences > For New Documents > click Use template: > Choose > browse to the template above+

Report viewer is not printing the exact font size format if the application is run through virtual machine or RDP.

I'm still having this problem with the font size format of my report, although I already installed this hotfix at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2768741/en-us, if I run the application using RDP or virtual machine. Anyway, I'm using VS2010 with sql server
2012 express through windows 7. Actually, I tried to search for a new and updated hotfix version but having no luck,:) since i'm not good at it (google search).:)
So, I need help on how to fix this problem.

Thanks for the link that you had given. Actually, Previewing the report on an RDP or VM environment is not a problem at all because it yields smooth result based on the report design. The problem only exist if print button icon of the report viewer is pressed
which results to a magnified font size printout. I think it is a rendering problem a somewhat default behavior of a report viewer print method. So one of the remedy is to adjust the resolution of an RDP or VM to 1024x768
(4:3 ratio) as suggested by the others, which momentarily solve this problem but not necessarily the other way around.
