Low-quality copy (to the clipboard) in Keynote and Pages

I am running Keynote 6.5 under OS 10.10 on MacBook Air. Just after updating to Yosemite I have noticed that if I copy (command-c) something from Keynote (say, some text, or a graphic) and try to paste it outside (in Preview, or in Word) I get a low-quality image (bitmap rather than vector). It was not like this before. Also, I have verified that this problem is limited to Keynote and Pages; i.e., copying something out of (e.g.) Powerpoint works perfectly (vector image).
Anyone can help?

I can confirm this is also a problem with Numbers. Anything copied out of the iWork apps appear to lose the ability to be pasted as a .PDF, even in applications that can accept the higher quality .PDF format. (In looking into it, there's additional weirdness I'm seeing related to iWork and the clipboard, but that's for elsewhere).
At this time, the only possible thing you can do to get high quality output from Keynote is to Export as a PDF, then open that and crop it.
Just to help a bit more, when you check Preview for how to crop a PDF, the help is incorrect. The command you're looking for is not
Choose View > Show Edit Toolbar,
it's
Choose View > Show Markup Toolbar
However, I haven't tried to see if you can get PDF's without backgrounds... checking now
I've also confirmed that Keynote '09 can still produce .PDF's from copied content. And, I am using a MacBook Pro.

Hallo,
For my GUI app. I would like to enable different types of information to copied to the clipboard.
e.g. object type 1 - Document ID ( actual row's document ID from JTable ) - to copy document type
object type 2 - string representation ( columns texts from JTable ) - to copy to excel
I would like to keep them general, with different possible combinations
among them ( up to 10 different object types ), according to some specs.
Has anybody idea, if it is possible ? ( prefarably with 1.4 D&D interface ).
Data are packed in createTransferable() call, but it allows just 1 format (?) ...
Maybe I can use some 'envelope' format holding all possible information,
but that idea doesn't looks nice for me :(

Thanks for your help. For drag & drop it's fine. System will ask for 'best' format as I expect.
How is it with clipboard ? I had idea to copy table columns as a "text" flavor
( for paste into excel ) and user created flavor "id" with documentId inside.
On paste I would take 'what's better' ( e.g. as a document reference better would be better my "id" flavor,
because that information doesn't need to be in table cells inside ).
Maybe I will have to use 'own' clipboard for these reasons.

CIC - Copy to the clipboard

Hello,
When user, on transaction CIC (l-shape), click on the ISU-Finder to find a BP by giving a premise number it should copy to the clipboard the BP when i click on the checkmark button. This part is build by SAP.
I am trying to copy the Premise to the clipboard by using user-exit EXIT_SAPLEECIC_COMP00_001. I tried many attempts by using SAP function modules in order to create a Business Object Premise and add the element to the clipboard.
I tried FMs such as :
CALL FUNCTION 'CIC_EVENT_RAISE'
     EXPORTING
          event = 'ADD_XTAINER_TO_BDD'
          p1     = xtain
     EXCEPTIONS
          OTHERS = 99.
When i used this one, i got an item in the clipboard but it said : Uninitiliazed Business Process Unit.
Does somebody have to code a 'Copy to Clipboard' for a businness object.

Receive error: There was an error while copying to the Clipboard. An internal error occurred.

I receive the message "There was an error while copying to the Clipboard. An internal error occurred." when I highlight anything and copy to the clipboard. I've searched and found others with the same issue, but they were either on an older OS, Acrobat ver, or their issue was intermittent. My issue always occurrs and I cannot copy anything to the clipboard.
I'm running Win 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 and Acrobat Pro 9.4.4. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Safari copy wipes the clipboard

Anyone else have this in Safari 4 for Windows?
I use Safari at work, often copying and pasting text; in Safari 4 I have noticed an issue that when I have text in the clipboard and use the keyboard shortcut to paste the text into a text box on a web page.
Here's what happens, I first have some text I copied into the clipboard, when I accidentally hit Ctrl-C instead of Ctrl-V the clipboard gets wiped out as Safari copies a null amount of text into the clipboard, thus if I realize my mistake and try to do a Ctrl-V my previously copied text has disappeared from the clipboard and nothing pastes.
Yeah I know I should learn to type better, ha ha, but we all occasionally make mistakes and it's infuriating when this happens. I am sure this was not the behaviour Safari 3 and also this issue does not occur in FireFox and I think most other browsers out there.
I clean installed Safari on a new install of Windows on a virtual machine and was able to recreate the issue.
Any thoughts?

How do I retrieve/view content that I've copied to the clipboard at various times over the course of the evening ??

Is it possible to look at different content I've copied to the clipboard at several times over the course of an hour or two. Note: I have NOT turned off my browser or restarted my computer.

Nope, the Windows clipboard only save one item at a time. Copy something and the previous "copy" is gone. You would need a Windows program that saves multiple clipboard entries.

Keynote: I downloaded the update on Keynote and the fonts did not transfer. How do I transfer fonts. Needing them for Presentation this weekend.

You might still be able to use the old version ('09). Updating Keynote causes the previous version to move to a new location. Open the applications folder and look for a folder named "iWork '09". The previous version of Keynote will be in there.

I have a copy of the original adobe illustrator and it won't open

I have a copy of the original adobe illustrator and it won't open. I will start to open and it kina freezes and then I have to force it to close. My photoshop of the same age will open and work but I also still have to force close it. I don't have the money to update and these older versions work fine for me what do I need to do to keep them working???

Any new iCal entry on either iPad or on the iPhone ends up via iCloud on both iPads and iPhone. BUT NOT ON THE MacBookPro. And iCal entry on the MacBookPro does NOT GET SENT to iCloud.com or to either iPad or the iPhone. This is a huge problem for me because I do all my office scheduling on the iPad or iPhone but rely on the MakeBookPro to print out daily client lists. All iWork apps allow you to save your documents on your computer. You will be able to choose the destination when you want to save a document.
You can also disable iCloud for some apps. To do that, go to System Preferences -> iCloud, press "Options" next to "iCloud Drive" and disable the apps you want to.
If you have lost your old documents, you should have a backup that you made before upgrading to OS X Yosemite, so you only have to restore it.

I cannot open Keynote and Pages in iPhone/iPad iOS 7

After updating to iOS 7 and iWork for iOS, I'm no loger able to use iWork for iOS when iCloud is turned on.
I've two apple accounts, one for Mexico store and another one for US store. A couple of yeard ago I purchased Numbers for iphone/ipad using MX account, and Keynote and Pages for iphone/ipad using my US account.
Before updating to iOS 7, I was able to use iCloud for keynote, numbers and pages without any problem. All my documents were backed up on the MX account in iCloud. My iphone/ipad was logged into iCloud using my MX account all the time.
After updating to iOS 7, I keep using my MX account for iCloud, but I'm no longer to open Keynote and Pages (which were purchased with my US account) when iCloud is activated for them.
What's going wrong with apple?! I think iOS 7 is very buggy and it is the worst OS they have ever make available for users!!! Can't believe the amount of errors I keep finding in most of Apple apps!!!

Older Mac purchases require a paid purchase of these applications.

What is difference buying i work CD beteween buying app. I'm curious because to buy in appstore is much cheaper

No, Pages and Keynote do not come installed on a new Mac. You have to purchase them separately.

Yes, anything you buy in the app store can be installed on your other Macs so long as you use the same Apple ID.

The iWorks looks cheaper in the App store because you can buy each of the apps separately.

Keynote and Pages files on Ipad

My Videos app is crashing after renting a video on iTunes - so I want to restore settings. Will I lose Keynote and Pages (and Goodreader, etc.) files when this happens - or will I get them back when I sync?

Not if you restore from a backup you've made on iTunes. All the settings, etc. will be the same. Of course, there may be corrupted files in the backup that are causing your crash. Give it a try and see what happens.

Keynote and pages

I was deleting photos from my iphoto and I apparently deleted the Keynote and pages on my Mac OS X 10.6.8. I went to click on my widgets on the dock and a question mark shows up on both. I believe I accidently deleted keynote and pages out of my system. How can I recover them?

Reinstall them from the disk or trial download originally used to install them or the computer's original disks. If you got them from the Mac App Store, go to its main page, click on Support under Quick Links, contact Apple, and see what they say.
