Low RAM and no Intel. Can I install anyway?

Hi all! I need a bit of advice. I just got CS4 Production Premium on a student license and my PowerPC G4 meets all the requirements but two. I have 56.15 GB of available hard-disk, a 1400X900 display, and Tiger 10.4.11. However, I only have 640 MB of DDR SDRAM and I don't have the Multicore Intel Processor listed on the system requirements. So my question is, should I go ahead and install the software and maybe it will run a little slower or is there no point in even trying? I don't plan to do anything really intense with it and I could deal with only having a couple of the apps open at once but I need some way to use this software, preferably without buying a whole new computer. You are supposed to disable your software license on the old computer and then you can re-enable it on the new one.
I was under the impression that CS4 applications did not run on G4. Perhaps just a subset of them do not run. If an application will work on your G4, go ahead -- it's hardly going to harm your computer.
If you plan to keep your G4 longer, you should max out the RAM. RAM for G4 systems is so cheap now that it's worth the investment in the time you will save.

Actually, you cannot download Snow Leopard. You downloaded a Snow Leopard updater.

I take a look at the 'Before You Install' file, since there is no 'read me' file and it's hardware requirements are basically ancient for what this computer has.
I assumed that Final Cut Suite 1 was simply too old for Snow Leapard, but my searches are not hitting in Goggle or here at the FCP Forums.
Any ideas would be great, thanks for your time!

What is the Final Cut Pro version included in your Studio 1 suite?
If it is a 5.0.x version, then it is Power PC only. That version will install on an Intel based Mac but exhibit some odd quirks. In short, it was incompatible to start with.
A 5.1.x version should [at least in theory|http://snowleopard.wikidot.com>, work without problems.

Yes. I've found that works best. Especially if the drive is external, since external connections are typically slower, and Spotlight loves to eat up space going back and forth. Time Machine will eat up as much space as it can, and typically needs drives at least twice the size of the original hard drive that is being backed up, if being backed up in full. So unfortunately there is a lot of empty space that is needed for smooth operation.

you can but there may be some issues and a lot of files will be saved to your c drive, anyway.

I just upgraded to 10.7.3 and now I can't install any applications.

I just upgraded to 10.7.3 and now I can't install any applications. Everything else in the OS and in applications seems to work OK. After the installers ask for the system password, they do nothing. I doesn't hang; it just won't proceed any further in the install process. I can press the back button and it seems to do that just fine. I repaired the disk permissions, but to no avail.
After I installed 10.7.3, I tried to install an updater that was listed as being recommended for Time Machine users. That was the first time I tried to launch an installer of any sort and it did the same as above. I've gathered since then that the update wasn't necessary and was already included in the 10.7.3 I loaded today.
Any hints?

I'm having a similar problem after installing 10.7.3 and the Messages beta. I've unistalled Mesages with little bit of trouble.. Linc, I followed the step given in your final post any help would be appreciated.
A screenshot of my actual error. I get this error not just for Flash, but also Handbrake. I receieve th error even when I try using a programs automatic update. However, not suprisingly I do not get the message when using Apple's software update.

That's often a permissions problem. Try launching Disk Utility and running the Repair Permissions. That may fix the problem. Also confirm that the Office 2011 folder is in the Applications folder at the root of the hard drive, not a folder within your wife's Home folder.
If that doesn't help. post back with further details; your version of Mac OS X, whether you installed Office via a user account with admin privileges or not, and what happens when you try and launch Office from your account including error messages if any.

If this is on your computer's iTunes then log out via the Store > Sign Out menu option and then log back in with the updated version of your account. If on an iOS device then tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and log out and then log back in.
