LR3 reset ALL develop settings for photos transferred to external HD
I recently moved all of my photos from 2009 to an external HD to save some space on my laptop. I pointed the catalog to the new location and they show up, but the develop settings for ALL of the photos have been reset. I can get back to what I had done by clicking each photo's history just prior to the reset, but why did it reset and is there a way I can get it to un-reset??

I suppose you moved the files from outside of LR. What steps did you take to "point the catalog to the new location"?

Are you saying that you actually see a "Reset" entry in the history of each photo?

I want to update or upgrade my iphone 4 to 5.0 or 6 higher how can I do this ? I my unable to sign into Itunes I was told to reset all the settings to "factory" If I reset evevything ,will I loose all my contacts, emails, notes, or any other information that I have saved into my phone (photos, apps, emails, ) Just as if I had a brand new phone ? I am not very experience with computers or high tech devices I would have a difficult time uploading on my computer or tranfering data
Don't reset anything, just connect it to iTunes. If you don't have iTunes on a computer, then find someone who does, turn off auto sync, then connect your iphone and click 'check for updates'. iTunes will download the update, then update that software to your phone. Before you update though, I'd make a backup, just to be on the safe side.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

My Ipod 4th gen with 6.0.1 ios won't play on my sony docking station. I have allready reset all my settings. Is there anything else I can do?
Try:
- Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost

Does Sony say it will work with a 4G iPod with iOS 6.0.1? Sometimes an iOS update will break compatibility.
Do you have the latest firmware on the dock? Go to Sony's website and check. -
I made some amendments to my colour settings in PS CS5 and now everything prints black and white. Please help me to reset all the settings to default. This was after I tried to implement the steps set out in Real World Photoshop CS5. I stuggele to match the colours of my two screens, the one a laptop and the other a LCD and the printer, even after calibration with Spyder 3. Really lost at present.
Tap Settings / Wi-Fi. Tap the blue circle with an arrow to the right of your network then tap: Forget This Network.
Restart the iPad. Tap Settings / Wi-Fi. Tap the network name again then type in your password.

And try turning off your router for 5 minutes, then turn it back on. Try typing in the password again. -
Prior to it becoming completely nonfunctional I could just restart it and it would connect properly to the wifi. Then that work around stopped working. Then I went into general settings and reset all network settings and that worked for a while. When that stopped working I let the battery drain completely and then after a full charge it worked again for a while. Now nothing. What should I try next that will hopefully fix this issue more permanently?
Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
• Launch Settings app
• Tap on Wi-Fi
• Tap on the blue arrow of the Wi-Fi network that you connect to from the list
• In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Iphone4 resetting all content & settings
Hi, I have done resetting all content & settings of Iphone4 as I had to give it to someone else, but after doing the reset, it's asking to connect to Itunes with a black screen but once connected to Itunes, it says that there is an error in updating Iphone and you must contact customer care for this. What do I do now?

After updating to 8.1.2 my iPad continues to restart. I tried resetting all the settings and this didn't work. I tried rebooting by holding the start button & power button and it didnt work either. The problem has actually worsened. I can no longer use my iPad.
You need to restore the iPad.
Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support
If that will not work, you will need to use Recovery Mode to restore.

I reset all the settings last night, now I cant get any icons up, plus I'm on a local computer that cant download itunes, anyone know how i can get my screen back to normal? All it shows is the itunes sybol with the usb cord connecting to it.
Your only option at this point is to connect the device to a computer running iTunes so you can restore it.

Have an iPod touch 4th gen. It is completely charged, but once I disconnect from a power source it shuts down and then the apple logo just keeps reappearing. I have restored via iTunes and reset all the settings. Any suggestions?
If you restored to factory settings/new iPod via iTunes (Not via Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Setting) and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.

ITunes reset all the plays for all my purchased songs!
I jsut looked at my iTuens library today and realized that it reset all the data for all the purchased sogns from the iTunes Store since the beginning of time! All my plays, everything - it has all been reset to zero, as well as if I changed the album name or title...it has all been changed back!

You can use an external drive or thumbdrive for the transfer. -
I get "mail server does not recognize your Apple ID and password" when I try to share a picture via email in iPhoto. My iCloud email works ok otherwise. I have checked all mail settings for ID and password.
In the iPhoto preferences ==> accounts delete the account and re-enter it - sometimes that resolves this
Or IMHO the best long term solution is to set Apple Mail as the iPhoto e-mail client in the iPhoto preferences and use it - it has a number of advatages and has fewer problems

My 3D camera view is acting kooky when I go into 3D mode. It's like I'm underneath the text looking up at it, and no matter what settings I mess with I can not get the view that I want. Yes I have went to all the little drop down window and clicked on default view and I still get this same underneath view. There is Reset all tools and reset preferences. To reset you Photoshop Preferences as you start Photoshop hold down Ctrt|CMD+Alt|OPT+Shift you should get a prompt about you preferences. Somewhere in tools preset there are reset tool options.
