LV 8.2 install error - system doesn't meet min requirments

Minimum system requirements for 8.2 are pasted below.
I'm trying to install on a 2GHz P4, 256MB RAM, w/100GB HD space yet I get a message
effectively telling me my system in not good enough . What gives?

Well. it's too late for that. I got hold of a gal at the NI service desk that told me it was probably because my windows 2000 didn't have pervice pack 3. So I went to microsoft and tried to load SP3. About 2/3rd the way through it started having trouble and finally crashed (the trouble started when it said "FTP.exe is being used by another program" (I didn't show anything running)) . It reported that I would need "Emergency Repair Disk" and then promped me to "insert W2000 setup boot disk (floppy)" and that I should then restart and select Emergency Repair Option" I haven't yet been able to find such a disk set or a downloadable source, and - get this - our campus PC guru's house burned down night before last. (Thank God for smoke alarms!) so I can call on him for a few days.
The second disk drive in the system has a complete BU and op system. So my plan is to set it up as primary and then reformat the other disk and reload it all again. And, yes when I get back to reloading 8.2 I'll install more RAM but I still don't think that should have aborted the install. Maybe I'll still have a problem. Thanks to all. I'll try to post my resoution.

If you bought it new, it was either in 2002 or 2003 depending on model, a minimum of two years before Aperture was even released...

P.S. In terms of processing power, a 2x1.25GHz G4 is considerably LESS powerful than a current Mac mini.

Mozilla says "Your system doesn't meet the requirements to run Firefox" but when I check the requirements, my system meets all.

hi, please right-click the firefox icon on the desktop, go to properties > compatibility and make sure that firefox isn't set to run in compatibility mode (atm your useragent reports that you are running windows 2000).
afterwards it should be possible to update.

It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:

If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

I have a problem in my installation of SAP NW 7.1 for PI
I was installating the SAP NW but I stopped it and deleled this system (SID=TPI), then I started again the installation (SID=PI1) but in the phase Install Common System Files i got this message:

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs. 
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.

I cannot update from OS X 10.9.4 t0 10.9.5> Whenever I try I get the following message: File couldn't be installed error (513) and something about not having the proper permission. Under the Macintosh HD sharing and permissions settings I have customized the settings so that (Me) has read and write permission followed by the system with read and write permission, wheel and everyone have Read permissions.
I have no problems updating apps such as Adobe CC or iTunes but cannot update the operating system, can someone help me? Thanks.

1. Restart the computer in safe mode. Certain caches maintained by the system will be rebuilt.
Safe mode is much slower to start up than normal. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
When the login screen appears, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and test. There's no need to log in while in safe mode.

the "uname" command is part of the coreutils package on RHEL. Please check if the coreutils package is installed:
rpm -qa | grep -i coreutils
If the coreutils package is not installed you can install it with
yum install coreutils

Error while Installing Hyperion system 9.0

my requirement is
to install lisence server and BI+ services in system A,and Shared services,BI+ UI services in system B.both are in lan.
i installed lisenced server,shared services and BI+ services accordingly and configured successfully.
But while installing BI+ UI services in system B
the following error came.
Errors occurred during the installation.
Unable to install Hyperion System 9 BI+ UIServices over Single-installer Suite: Installed product has newer version.

Seems pretty clear to me. Here's what you can try:
Open Terminal in your Utilities folder. Paste the following at the prompt:
sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/AppleUSBEthernetHost.kext
Press RETURN. Enter admin password when prompted. It will not be echoed so type carefully. Press RETURN again.
Restart the computer.

Office Professional Plus 2010 - Fails to Install - Error 25004 - "System error: -1073418209" - Microsoft Key Management Server

I am receiving an error when attempting to install a site license copy of Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2010. The enterprise environment that I am in is using a Microsoft Key Management Server for the authentication of all Office 2010 and Windows 7
installations. The error that I receive at the end of the installation is: "Error 25004. The product key you entered cannot be used on this machine. This is most likely due to previous Office 2010 trials being installed. (System error: -1073418209)".
I have never installed a trial of Office 2010, nor did I ever install the beta of Office 2010. I do have a copy of Microsoft Office Projects 2010 installed. Before attempting to install Office 2010, I had Office 2007 installed. I used the Upgrade option
to install 2010, instead of removing 2007 (which apparently I should have done instead) first. I have tried using the Microsoft FixIt tool to remove both Office 2007 AND Office 2010. Neither of those tools has fixed my problem. Office 2010 also does not show
up in my Add/Remove Programs list.
Any ideas on how to fix this? I do not have time to reformat until after the Holiday seasons, and need to have Office working!

The full error text is as follows: Error 25004: The product key you entered cannot be used on this machine.
This is most likely due to previous Office 2010 trials being installed. (System error: 1073422308)
The key you are currently trying to install with, is an Office Professional Plus Trial key. A machine will allow one Professional Plus Trial key installed on it ever. Meaning you can
install a trial on a machine, used it for some time, uninstall Office. When you go back to the Microsoft website and get a new key, the second installation will be rejected with the above error message.
If this is not the situation, try to completely uninstall all the versions of the Office programs from control panel, and then use the suggestions in this KB
article to uninstall it:

Error: The installed graphics card does not meet the minimum system requirements by Aperture

I have a Mac Pro 3.1 10.5.8 and Aperture 2.1.4. My NVida 8800gt with 512 mb was over heating so I brought and install the ATI radeon hd 5770 to replace it. Now when I try to start Aperture I get this message "Error: The installed graphics card does not meet the minimum system requirements by Aperture". All other software works fine, ie photoshop elements and Safari. When I install my old card aperture will open with no problem, but of course the card will overheat within 10 mins and I will have no video. I have search on google with no luck. Will upgrading to Aperture 3 fix this problem?

FC Express HD doesn't install regardless of meeting min system requirements

hi. Has anyone else had this experience? I've tried to install FCE on my system - power mac G4, OS X 10.4.7, 867 MHz Processor, 640 MB SDRAM. all of which meet min system requirements. But it won't install. On the install screen, it gives me livetype and its media, and soundtrack and its media as options to install, and I did in fact install them but FCE is always grayed-out.

Which version is this, 3 or 3.5? Which computer is this exactly? Is it running an upgrade card? You should contact Apple if you have an installation problem.
