Lyrics not updating on itouch

Hi All,
I usually have a habit of updating songs on my itouch, listening them rating them and then getting lyrics for the higher rated ones, although I cannot seem to update the lyrics of songs which already have some crap lyrics attached with them. For e.g. song A has lyrics "abc" first when I sync with itouch, then I change lyrics on song A to "def", lyrics still show as "abc" on itouch. This is a real pain. I have tried the following but with no success:
1) formatted my ipod
2) resynced everything
3) removed the offending songs and resyncing it
Has anyone had a similar issue? Can someone help me solve it?
I also have a problem where for some songs all I see is "loading lyrics" with a busy circle forever.

Ios 5.1.1 downloads but does not update on itouch

When I received the notification that I needed to update my operation system to ios 5.1.1, I clicked the "download and install" button. The ios takes an hour or so to download so I usually walk away and do something else. (This has happened twice). When I return, the operation system is not installed. I have run itunes diagnostics but I do not see where the problem is. Has anyone run into this before? Do I need to make this a two step process - 1) download the new ios and then 2) install it? If so, where will it reside and how would I install it?
I have an Ipod Touch 4th generation running firmware 4.3.5. Thank you!

HT4623 software update is not in my itouch

I need to update my iTouch to iOS 5 and I've read the instructions on how to but it' tells me to go to Settings>General>Softwear Update but my iTouch does not have software update so I can't select it.

When you update you iTouch version, and have items not transfered to your computer, do you lose those items when you update it?

I was going to update my itouch to ios 5 when it said that I had items that were not transfered to my computer. Does that means that any untransfered items will be lost?

Yes, unless the items are in your iTunes library. The backup that iTunes makes does not include items synced to the iPod like, music, video, the apps themselves.

IOS 5 - Updating Lyrics Not Working? Bug?

It appears that if I CHANGE an existing Lyrics embedded in the meta-data a song, it is not updating in the Music Player of my iPhone 4S. For some reason the old pre-updated lyrics still appear in the music player. I've tried completely deleting the songs on the phone and re-loading them, but the old lyrics still appear on the phone. I've also tried deleting songs completely from iTunes itself as well as my iPhone, resynching without the song, then re-downloading them and putting in new lyrics and re-syncning. And the old lyrics STILL SHOW UP!! Weird.
My iTunes is using iTunes Match but my phone is NOT - I am hard syncing it to iTunes to update. Also, my iPOD Classic is being updated correctly with the changed lyrics. Since I'm an app programmer and this was driving me crazy, I wrote a quick app that actually displays the embedded lyrics of any song that is playing on the iPhone music player, and in MY app, the lyrics show up correctly, but if I switch over to the music player they are still the old lyrics. Obviously, somehow the Music Player is retaining two sets of embedded lyrics data - what it was when it first loaded and what it was when it changed, and is for some reason displaying the former. I do not see any way to clear this old data on the iPhone.
Note that I've also tried rebooting the phone, clearing the Music app from memory on the iPhone. rebooting the computer, etc. Nothing works. Also note that this only happens when I CHANGE lyrics on a song with EXISTING lyrics. If I add lyrics to a song that previously did not have any, it updates correctly.
Can somewhere verify this bug? If you have a song with lyrics already embedded, try adding a word at the end of that song in iTunes and see if it updates the iPhone. Preferable someone will try this who has at least iOS5 installed (hopefully also an iPhone 4S). I just want to see if it's someting in my specific setup or a general bug.

OK - My wife has an iPhone 4 (NOT S) but and has iOS 5.01 installed, but the lyrics DO change on her phone - we just tried. She however is still on iTunes 10.5.0 not 10.5.1 and she does not have iTunes Match.
So since someone on another forum indicates that this is happening on their iPhone 4, it must be a problem with iTunes 10.5.1 or else something to do with iTunes Match on the computer (not that I only have iTunes Match on my comuter - I do NOT have it on my iPhone 4S - I am hard syncing), or the combination.
So if are you using iTuns 10.5.1 and / or iTunes Match on you computer, can you test this? BTW - I'm on Windows 7.

Wha version of iTunes do you have.? You need 10.5.
What generationiPod do yu have? Yu need a 3G or 4G iPod. Ifyou thing you have a n 8 or 16 GB 3G iPod you really have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to 4.2.1. A 32 GB one can be eithger a 2G or 3G. To identify yours:

Lyrics will not update...

Strange... whenever I place lyrics into my music file, and when I go to the music through my nano, it shows text from before I updated it. Why will it not update itself so I can replace it with new lyrics?

I deleted it from the nano by unchecking the file from the itunes.

How to delete songs or playlists manually
1. Open iTunes.
2. Select iPod in the iTunes source list.
3. Select the song or playlist you want to delete from iPod. Deleting a playlist or deleting a song from a playlist will not remove song from iPod.
4. From the Edit menu, choose Clear or press Delete.
5. Click Yes if a dialog box appears. The song or playlist is deleted from iPod.
Deleting a song from a playlist does not remove the song from the iPod itself. Select iPod in the iTunes source list and locate the song you want to delete.

I updated my itouch with the iOS 5 now my songs wont play. What do i do??

I updated my itouch to the iOS 5. and now most of my songs arent playing on my itouch nor are they playing if its plugged into the computer and i go to "my itouch" tab. but if i go onto the computer and go to the main library, they will play. How do i get my songs to play?!

not helping. this i touch has ALL my music on it. i've tried deleting a couple songs from my itouch (that are also on my computer) then put them back on, that didnt work either. so deleting all my music is NOT an option. Sorry i sound rude..im just really frustrated with this.

Can not update to ipod 2.1 software

I am trying to update my itouch to the ipod 2.1 software, but when it tries to backup my itouch, it takes about 30 minutes and then comes back and says "an error has occurred while attempting to backup the ipod, error code is -6971. It then asks if I would like to continue without backing up. I tried to continue once, and i had to restore the ipod. So, I need to find out what this error is, because I can not seem to access any of the new applications that I just purchased from itunes...

iPod 2nd Gens cannot be upgraded to iOS 5. However, you can still update it up to 4.2.1 version. That is the best you can do for your 2.1.1 version.

ITunes does not detect my iTouch, but its listed as a camera in my computer

HT1414 it will not update. how do i fix that?

i log onto itunes and it asks me if i want to update my itouch to the updated version (5) and i click yes. it starts the backing up process but then stops. how do i fix that?

Recovery Mode
1. Disconnect the USB cable from the device, but leave the other end of the cable connected to your computer's USB port.
2. Turn off the device: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red slider appears, then slide the slider. Wait for the device to turn off.
3.While pressing and holding the Home button, reconnect the USB cable to the device. The device should turn on.
4. Continue holding the Home button until you see the "Connect to iTunes" screen. When this screen appears, release the Home button. iTunes should alert you that it has detected a device in recovery mode. Click OK, and then click Restore to restore the device.
Note: Data will be lost. You may have to repeat the above many times.

What's GOING ON???. New iTunes and now I can't update my iTouch

What is going on. My 2nd Gen iTouch is freezing with the new iTunes!
I can NOT update the iTiuch to the new 4.1 operating system. It freezes when it starts with the initial backup before intalling the firmware.
Anyone know fix?????

My daughter was trying to update her itouch and somehow lost everything on it. She had a different ipod before this one, and I think we never registered this one, so it seems the computer restored her itouch to what was on her previos ipod. Any ideas?

I don't think we ever registered her itouch, and I know she didn't back it up to the computer. Any chance of getting her stuff back? She lost hundreds of pictures.

- You can redownload iTunes purchases by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
- On the computer go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and see if there is a backup of her iPod.
Note that the backup does not included synced media like apps and music.
- Is she update the iPod via iTunes on other then the computer she syncs with the media on the iPod gets erased. Same for if on the syncing computer if the media was not in the iTunes library.
