MAC can't find HP Photosmart 7510 wirelessly

I cannot make my HP Photosmart 7510 link to my Mac which runs on 10.8.3. I have downloaded the software from the link below:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL44228/mp-107205-1/HP_Mountain_Lion_Ink_SW_v12.23.38.dmg
I have connected the 2 by cable, set everything up, it all says it works - when I remove the cable it gives me the message below - can you help?
The wireless network settings were successfully downloaded to your device. However, your Mac was unable to locate the device on the network.
Please make sure that:
• Your Mac is connected to a wired or wireless network that has access to your device.
• Your device is connected to the wireless network "XXX".
Click "Retry" to attempt to connect again using the current settings. Click "Go Back" to enter different settings.

That is close.  To verify that the "Service Order" is correct, click the gear icon at the bottom of that window and select Set Service Order.  Drag the connetion types around to get the proper order.  Your Mac prioritizes network connections in the order you set in this window.
Say thanks by clicking "Kudos" "thumbs up" in the post that helped you.

I'm having problems hooking up Airport Express to airplay. My MAC can't find it...wireless network is working fine, I have Klipsch speakers working fine over Airplay...but Airport express will not connect to my network. Help!

Apple's "extend a wireless network" setting is proprietary feature that is designed to work with other Apple routers on a network.  Unfortunately, it is extremely unlikely that this feature would be compatible with a 3rd party router.
The solution is to connect the AirPort Express to your main router using a permanent wired Ethernet connection and configure the Express to "create a wireless network" using the same wireless network name, same wireless security and same password as the main network.
Another possible solution would be to to ask your Internet Service Provider (ISP) if they offer a compatible device that will "extend" the main router using wireless only.

I listed the commands.. that is how you manually mount the disk.. follow exactly the commands I gave you.
In finder use top menu, go, connect to server.
    Type in the following.
AFP://TCname or AFP://TCIpaddress (obviously you replace with the actual name or the actual IP address).
    If that fails..
    try
    SMB://TCname
    Here is the screenshot.
tardis4 being the name of my TC.
It should then ask you for your credentials.
And it should remember them in the keychain and be able to then get TM to connect.

  • My Mac can't find the server when I connect to cable internet.

My Mac can't find the server when I connect to cable internet. Ethernet is fine, the problem is that Safari doesn't open the login/password window. Can anybody help?

The system administrator of my network has had the following solution - to help open the window for the login/password I tick "web proxy" (and enter the information for web proxy server) in "network preferences - advanced - proxies", enter the login/password and then untick it to open webpages. A little complicated, but it works, and that's the only solution so far.

  • Mac can't find my EPSON Workforce 610

I tried to print something today.
In addition to being out of cyan, my computer gave me a "filter failed" error.
I removed the printer to try to re-add it and now my mac can't find the printer. I've disconnected the printer and reconnected to our wifi mulitple times. I've restarted the computer AND the printer multiple times. I've renamed my computer in the "System Preferences" > "Sharing" folder and THEN restarted it...again. Nothing.
I'm running out of patience and time. HELP!
I have Macbook Pro 10.8.5. I'm NOT computer literate, so please spell out the fix for me, if possible.
    Thanks in advance!

Thank you! That information was definitely helpful.
I haven't tried since my post to get our printer to work (ended up sending my doc to Staples, in the interest of time, and haven't had to print anything since).
Anyway, this morning I replaced our ink and tried printing something. It still wasn't working (but this time, all it said was the printer wasn't connected). I reconnected the printer to the network, then turned it off, restarted our computer, and once the computer was back up, I turned the printer back on.
The printer appeared in our network, again, and my printing job was successful. Yay! I LOVE when technology works. =)

  • My mac snow leopard 10.6.8 can not find my 3050a printer wireless

My mac snow leopard 10.6.8 can not find my 3050a printer even though i have added the printer bonjour to my print list, even though the blue and white light s are on on the printer panel.
    I have good signal strength
    the printer ip is 192.168.1.8
    Help

OK, using these instructions: https://www.broadbandadvice.org.uk/Website/Routers/HG532.htm  change the channel to 11.
Now, if and when the printer is connected with a vaild IP address, let's set a static IP address for the printer:
    - Print a Network Config Page from the front of the printer. Note the printer's IP address.
    - Type that IP address into a browser to reveal the printer's internal settings.
    - Choose the Networking tab, then Wireless along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.
    - On this screen you want to set a Manual IP. You need to set an IP address outside the range that the router automatically sets (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') to 250
    - Use 255.255.255.0 for the subnet (unless you know it is different, if so, use that)
    - Enter your router's IP (on the Network Config Page) for the gateway.
    - Enter 8.8.8.8 for the first DNS and 8.8.4.4 for the second DNS.
    - Click 'Apply'.
Now, shut down the router and printer, start the router, wait, then start the printer.
After this you may need to redo 'Add a Printer' using the new IP address.

  • My mac can not find any wireless networks, my mac can not find any wireless networks

As of a couple weeks ago my can not find wireless networks even though they exist.  I try to refresh the scan with no luck.

Is your router plugged in?  Do you have internet?
    Come on...
I have the same issue.  Yesterday I could connect to my wifi just fine, but today I turned on my wifi and the wheel just spins and spins.  I restart my phone and I get the "greyed out" wifi switch. So I restart, and I'm back to square one.  The wheel just keeps spinning.
I've updated the router firmware, I've power cycled everything multiple times, and still nothing.
Can anyone give a real solution? Or do we just have to suffer until apple update this **** IOS6?

  • Computer is unable to find hp photosmart 7510 on network.

Windows Vista unable to detect HP Photosmart 7510 during new installation.  The printer is connected to the same network as the computer.  The computer is wired to the network and the printer is wireless.  I have downloaded the driver and other software from the website with no improvement.

    Hi,
During the installation process, it should ask you: can you see the antenna symbol on the printer AND the signal strenght. Did you see those and click yes ? The IP address should also display on the printer control panel. Last night, I installed my 7510 printer to one of my Windows 8 laptop and it was very easy, like walking in a park.
    Regards.

I have a Photosmart 7510 and it keeps loosing connection with my router. I am fed up turning it off and on,so I am going to wire it directly into my Mac via USB CABLE. Is there any setting that I have to change on my Mac ? Or can I start printing right away ?

Do you want to work on the wireless issue at all?
To answer your question, first download and install this: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907
    Restart your Mac.
Now, plug the printer directly into your Mac.  Within a minute or so you will be able to print/scan.

  • Airport Utility can't find Time Capsule but wireless is fine

    Hi
I have my Time Capsule connected via cable to my NetGear Modem/Router and have wireless enabled on the Time Capsule.
I never have any problems with the actual wireless connections to the internet via any of our Macs or PCs in the house, but on a fairly regular basis, the AirPort Utility comes up and tells me 'AirPort Utility was unable to find any apple wireless devices. Please make sure the Apple wireless device you want to set up is plugged in and in range of your computer, and then click rescan to try again.'
Wireless access continues to work just fine when this happens, but I just can't get to the Time Capsule with the Airport Utility. Un-plugging and re-plugging the Time Capsule makes it appear in the Airport Utility again, and it's fine usually for a few hours or most of the day, but then quite often I will open Airport Utility again later in the day and it again will not be able to find the Time Capsule again.
I have tried firmware 7.3.1 and 7.3 but it didn't make any difference.
So I wonder if anyone might have any suggestions as to why Airport Utility would not be able to find the Time Capsule yet the same Mac from which I am trying is quite happily connected wirelessly and surfing the web.
    Thanks in anticipation!
    Ken

Wow it took me awhile to find this thread.
    1047 views. I guess I'm not alone.
Every few days my macbook pro quits recognizing the Time Capsule even
though it works fine for wireless internet.
Airport Utility doesn't see it either. Shared disk access, gone.
I found I can get things working again over wireless if I plug the computer
into the time capsule with a cable. When I plug it in the time capsule instantly
appears on the list of available backup devices in time machine settings.
If I do a backup and then disconnect the cable backup continues to work for
awhile. Then I need to connect again.
    Pretty silly bug.
When it works time machine and time capsule are great. We've used it to
    recover data very easily.
Wish the connection wasn't so flakey though.

  • My Mac can't find airport express in AirPort Utility - I'm stuck!

I've been fiddling around with this thing for three hours and can't get it to work. I only want to use my airport express to wirelessly play music from my laptop to my speakers on my desk. I dot not want it affiliated with the internet in any way.
I plugged my speakers in to the white square apple thing, then plugged it into the wall. The next step is to open Airport Utility to set it up. My airport utility can not find any devices. It says "AirPort Utility was unable to find and Apple wireless devices. Please make sure the Apple wireless device you want to set up is plugged in and in range of your computer, and then click rescan to try again."
I've checked everything. I am currently about four feet away from the white AirPort plug-in thing, so distance is not it. I'm sure my airport can view all available networks, my AirPort is working fine for my internet (the internet is not affiliated with AirPort Express).
I think maybe this is defective? All help I can find starts off saying to open AirPort Utility, select the new device and, ....
I am running on Mac OS X Version 10.4.11, and I am sure my AirPort device is up to date.
    Help?

Yes, I told it to allow wireless networks. It's having a hard time joining my internet network - is that the one I'm supposed to be telling it to join?
I don't want to hook this up to my internet becuase the internet is the other room and I don't watn to mess with the internet settings my Windows roommate already has. I want the speakers to play in the bedroom, which is a good 30 feet away from the living room where the internet base is.
Should i create a new network and ask it to join in on that? but if i do that, will I still get internet?
As it stands right now my airport turns off when i unplug the ethernet, and nothing can be found - even though I told it to enable wireless.
This is so **** confusing. It does seem to work fine when the ethernet thing is in it though... but if I'm going to plug the ethernet chord to it, I'd rather get a long speaker chord and plug my speakers in to my laptop from across the room and save myself the $100 for this airport thign.

  • WRT16N can't find HP Photosmart 2610

I just purchased the WRT160N to replace my WRT54G.  The installation CD allowed my to input the HP2610 IP address but the software installed it as a local printer attached to my desktop.  The new LELA software which was installed from your website can't find the HP2610.  The WRT54G had the HP2610 installed as a network printer so I could share it.  I have two computers and the HP2610 in my network.  The first is a HP desktop hard wired to the WRT160N and the second is a Toshiba notebook connected wirelessly.  The HP2610 is also hard wired to the WRT160N.
How can I get the HP2610 installed as a network printer on the WRT160N network?

I found the problem.  It was necessary with LELA to delete the old IP address from the HP 2610 's memory.  After I did so, I launched another search with LELA and the printer was found.  My network is now complete.
I hope the message helps someone else.

  • HP Software Can't Find My Photosmart D110a on Network

I used to be able to use my Photosmart D110a for about a year with no problems.
One day, all of a sudden, I go to print something, and the printer isn't listed.
I uninstalled all the software. I verified in the Control Panel and my Programs Folder that all software and drivers were uninstalled.
Then, I load the CD and the software won't find my printer on the network. On the next page, it had me type in the IP address (192.168.0.10) and still couldn't find it. If I type that IP address on a browser page, it finds it just fine.
I can also add it manually on my devices and printers, but I really want to be able to use it from the HP Solution Center like I used to because the advanced scanning utilities are great.
I've tried restarting the computer and my device, along with my router, several times with long pauses while off to make sure connections reset ok.
I even tried running the standalone driver and all-in-one software from the website, along with the update and every diagnostic tool there was available to download. I have even disabled the firewall and the software still can't find the printer on the network.
Please help, I keep coming to dead ends with this

I would uninstall one more time and do an L3 on the computer to remove all HP files that are on the Photosmart D110.  This way when you run the install for the drivers you have gotten from the site, one will know that all the files from the old drivers have been removed. To do an L3:
    Step one: Clear temp directory
Type %temp% in the run or search for programs and files field
Highlight all the files in this folder, and then press the delete key to delete. If you get a message that the file is in use you will need to skip this file(s).
    Continue with Step 2 below
Step two: Downloaded and extracted to your system:
    1. Download the full feature software and drivers
Link the drivers page for the printer in question
    2. Once the download is finished double click on the file to extract the software.
    3. When the installation window opens press the cancel button to stop the installation
    4. Type %temp% in the run or search for programs and files field
    5. Look for, and open the folder starting with 7z (Example: 7zS2356)
    6. Right click on the folder, and select Copy
    7. Close that window, and all your open windows, and then in the middle of the desktop right click your mouse, and select Paste. This will move the 7z folder to your desktop.
    8. Open the 7z folder you just copied to your desktop
    9. Open folder Util
    10. Open folder CCC
    11. Run the uninstall_L3
    12. When the uninstall has completed restart the computer
    13. Run Disk cleanup from Accessories\ System Tools folder under all programs
    14. Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player
    Update Adobe Flash Player
     15. Open the 7z folder, and then double click on the Setup.exe file which will be toward the bottom of the open window. Follow the on screen instructions to reinstall your printer.
