Macbook and original Adobe Creative Suite (CS1)

Will the original Adobe Creative Suite and all plugins, intended for powerpc, run okay on an intel mac? I realize that it would have to run with the rosetta emulation, and thus slower if at all, but will this performance be equal to that of an iBook g4 1.33ghz 12inch? Many thanks in advance if anyone has any experience on trying to do this. CS1 still does great for what I need it to do, and I don't care to go spend a huge amount of money on CS3.

No problem. If it is just Photoshop you are worried about, there are many alternatives, and many of them very cheap or otherwise affordable.
Photoshop Elements is arguably the most popular prosumer photo editing software. You might also check out Pixelmator, as it's cheaper and does many of the same things as PS Elements (and more, in some cases).
There is also GIMP, which I think is completely free.
Please be aware that Elements and Pixelmator do not support CMYK editing, so if you are doing print work it's best to stick to the 'real' Photoshop. I cannot speak for GIMP, as I have never used it.
Of course, if you need InDesign or the other CS apps, then all this is moot.
There is definitely a version of Photoshop CS4 out there in beta form. Screenshots have made their way to the Internet, so I don't think you will have to wait TOO much longer, whatever you decide .

Because of my disability, I've been having someone come in to clean, and the shelves where I kept my software packages were cleared. I've been hunting for them ever since, but I can't look for them myself for very long at a time. Today I finally found them, but now I can't seem to contact tech support. What happened? I don't want to delete my old files because I need the setup to remain unchanged, because I don't do well with changes. I think all I should need is to have someone located the license file on drive E: and move it to wherever it is needed on the SSD drive, but I don't know what to look for.

Tech support is not normally available on weekends. You should contact them as soon as the weekend passes and pick up where you left off with them.

My old computer died, and now I want to have the Adobe Creative Design Suite on my new computer (a Dell). Do I have to find the CD that I bought originally or can I download it from this site--without having to pay for it again?

Unable to deactivate and activate Adobe Creative Suite

Hi,
I was unable to deactivate my latest installation of Creative Suite because my hard drive crashed. Now, with a new hard drive, I am unable to activate my copy of the product because I have reached the activation limit.
I need help with deactivating the copy which was on the spoilt hard drive.
I have tried many times and failed to contact Adobe via live chat, because I am never able to get through with an available agent. Also, I cannot seem to find any Adobe Customer Care email address, or any number to call (I live in Singapore), or any other portal by which I can reach Adobe.
I have had this dragging for weeks and I am getting quite impatient about this matter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best Macbook Pro for Adobe Creative Suite?

I'm going to be purchasing a Macbook Pro - 15 in. base model. Was wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade the processor at all. I don't need the extra memory since I'll be mainly working off of an external hard drive. I have a 2010 iMac right now that runs an 3.2ghz i3 so it can get over wokred pretty easy, but still runs fairly smoothly. Just wondering what the general consensus was on specs for a Macbook Pro. Yes, 500 gb is okay. I realize that flash storage is expensive. I have used up most of my 1T flash up, but you will be okay with 500gb as long as your executables are on it. I also use adobe Create Cloud and Apple iCloud to manage and sync my projects (the ones that create money). I have 3T of extra external storage which I use for backups another 5T external raid 5 I use for database management. I keep the 1T splash based Mac Book Pro for travel. Remember that whatever you put on external memory will need to be backup on yet another drive or cloud to keep redundancy.
If you want to stay portable use MacBookPro Retina (Photography) with as much primary memory and storage that you can afford. Add a 1T external drive (small and light to carry with he Mac). 7200-rpm or faster. You will drop

I would not be without Retina display. I also recommend you have a good APC to plug into when you are using battery power. Add $600-800 APC for the protection.

Adobe Creative Suite 5 and AAMEE and SCCM

Good afternoon,
I work for a school district that is implementing Microsoft SCCM 2007R2. We have 500 licenses (volume) for Adobe Creative Suite 5 (NOT 5.5). I have been trying to use the Adobe Application Manager Enterprise Edition (AAMEE) to create deployable packages of Adobe Creative Suite 5. I continue to receive the following error message when launching AAMEE: A valid installer could not be found.
I was able to download a trial version of Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 and it works normally; sadly the key we have does not work with it.
Has anyone else experienced this problem with Adobe Creative Suite 5? I have been looking for a trial download of Adobe Creative Suite 5, is anyone aware of where this download can be found?

01. We have are the .iso files of the original Adobe Creative Suite 5 DVDs.
02. Q:\ is a partition on this computer I am using. There is only one hard drive in this computer, two partitions.
Okay, I apologize for asking this question but what is the ESD system? I am going to do my own research on this but it almost sounds like I could download the files directly from Adobe because of our volume licensing.
I suspect the problem is that the .iso files we were given are either corrupt or possibly are missing the .msi or .dll files you were referring to.

Hi, I am about to buy a new laptop and dell have advised me to upgrade the operating system on my new laptop from windows home 7 premium to windows 7 ultimate in order to install and run adobe creative suite 4 web premium better. this will cost an additional £ 120 I wondered if this advice is corrrect. Adobe Creative Suite Premium 1.0

We have seem to misplaced one of our CDs. Can anyone tell me how many CDs came with the original Adobe Creative Suite Premium? I have 2 install CDs, one extra/resource CD and one training CD. I want to make sure that I have not lost one of the install CDs.
I also would like to find a list of all of the fonts that come with Adobe Creative Suite Premium. We have installed so many fonts I cannot tell what originally came with the CD and what I need to get permission to use in my work. Thank You.

If you have 2 Install CD's, you should be fine. Sounds, like you may have lost one of the resources and extras or the Pagemaker Plug-In Pack CD's though...

I reboot the computer, check add remove program, cs4 web standard is still here, and I can still launch the applications like nothing happened...
but at this point if I try to manually uninstall (with add/remove program) i get an error message saying "cirtical errors during installation: program installation database is incorrect, reinstall from original support" (maybe not accurate as it's in french)
same thing if i run manually the cleaner tool and go through the dialog.
I don't know what else I can do, I've already spent a couple of hours with this issue.

hi, thanks for your answer, actually this is what I have to do:
I have to uninstall cs4 english to install it back in french. If I try reinstall with the french licence over the existing install, it starts in trial mode and ask for the licence.
So if I follow your advice I should reinstall, uninstall, then reinstall ( and I have to do that on 30 computers, through SCCM, not manually)
As you see it become quite complicated.
An other suggestions?

I purchased Adobe Creative Suite 6: Design & Web Premium (software download card), the download package appeared on my destop. Then the zip files: Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium MAC.zip and Adobe Creative Suite 6 Design & Web Premium MAC.zip.cpzg. Whenever I click to unzip once it finishes it goes away and nothing happens. I've searched my computer for the files and the Adobe Creative Suite 6 application, but I can't find anything.

try removing the file extension and just leaving the zip.

Adobe Creative Suite CS4, printer, dongle ALL refuse to work with Mavericks

I have made the disastrous mistake of 'upgrading' to OS X 10.9 Mavericks. Now my HP printer won't work. My 4G dongle with my laptop no longer works and EE can't help at all with finding a suitable driver. And my Adobe Creative Suite CS4 is no longer compatible and isn't even supported any longer. So my 27-inch iMac is now just a piece of worthless junk.
Can someone please advise?

Adobe Creative Suite 4 question

ok, sorry, i didn't know where else i could put this.
I found a site, that sells products to students at discount prices. (if your eligible)
I found Adobe Creative Suite 4 but it says STUDENT EDITION.
Is there any difference between the STUDENT EDITION and just Adobe Creative Suite 4??
