Macbook/Epson projector set up

Does anyone know how to set up an Epson Projector to a Macbook Pro? I have a mini display to VGA adapter. We are running Bootcamp and Windows XP Pro. You can make the 2nd screen in the display properties in a continuous page. So you can see on the projection but you can not make the whole desktop a projection. So it will work as a continuous desktop but not as a primary desktop.
Any help is appreciated!

Seems likely to be a Boot Camp issue (you might confirm that the projector will work in mirroring mode when booted into the Mac OS).

Macbook MiniVGA Display port Epson Projector Issues "Not Supported"

I have been using my Macbook OSx 10.8.5 with a Rocketfish Mini Displayport to VGA adapter (RF-AP307) connected to an Epson Projector (Powerlite83plus) for 3 weeks and just the other day a blue screen appeared on the projector stating that the computer is 'Not Supported'.
Actions I have already tried:
- turned on and off mirroring
- changed the refresh rate
- unplugged VGA adapter and restarted the computer
- attempted to install firmware update for MiniVGA display port following directions located here: http://support.apple.com/downloads/_Mini_DisplayPort_to_VGA_Firmware_Update (update failed because VGA adapter not found)
Anyone having similar issues and have some additional solutions? Need a solution fast, if I need to buy another VGA adapter I will but would rather not have to spend the money again...

That update is for the Apple branded adapter, not the Rocketfish adapter.
I have the same adapter as you and have had no problems. That doesn't really mean anything other than the part does work with many types of projectors. Yours could have failed, though. Does it work on any other display or projector?

I have put some of my problems up there as well. For me nothing worked. Nobody in two Apple stores could help. VGA adapter did not work at all, regardless of the order of connecting cable and adapter. Tried two more adapters and two more cables. Mini-Displayport to DVI -Adapter did also not work. Everything works well under MacOS. Must indeed be something with the Thunderbolt/Mini-Displayport combination port and the Windows driver.
Any idea how to report this to Apple?

For some reason the 'Display Properties' does not always 'stick' and often does not do what you are trying to do. (at least that is what I have found) so going to the advanced settings and creating a 'scheme' has fixed issues similar to this.

Macbook and projectors

I want to buy a new projector: there are many projectors out there and I'm interested in an HD projector. On this site (http://www.projectorcentral.com/home-theater-multimedia-projectors.htm) I found what I want but there is a question. What appens if I connect my new macbook (1280x800 native res) to a 720p projetor (1280x720 native res)?
Does the macbook external video out work at that resolution? what appens in mirror mode? Can I see my dock? Or I can't see the 80 rows? Does it scales down to a non-native resolution? Can the Macbook work with HD projectors?
All mac video resolutions are 16:10, all projectors and TVs are 16:9 what can I do?

I had my MacBook (black) connected to EPSON Projector (1280x720) throught the USB-VGA addapter. It worked like a charm - I didn't check the resolution - but I know it did change it for the projector - I believe it was changed to the native 1280 by 720. Either way - the resolution was amazing - BETTER THAN MY MACBOOK - and the colors were unbeliveably crisp and life like. I watched few movies - browesed the web - I was impressed.
I'm getting the Panasonic projector (1280x720) portable (5lb) very soon - spec are even better than the EPSON I was using - so I'm very excited.
I think you will be very happy with the purchase - the macbooks work great with projectors and stay very cool - as they don't need any additional CPU power to run through the projector.

When I mess with the setting on my mac mini, it goes from saying that that is one of the devices to my macbook pro being the 2nd device. I think that something happened as a result of my using the migration assistant and now it thinks that my macbook pro and my mac mini are one and the same computer. Any ideas?

The old computer is a 2.6 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
The new one is a 2.3 GHz intel core i7
In going over this, thanks to "tallking it out" with you, I did discover the Text Edit problem. Because I've still been unable to get the new computer text size (fonts or whatever) to match the old computer, I did not notice that the curser is now different--the line midway down the curser has to be placed on the line I am working upon, otherwise the edits go elsewhere on the page. Now, with a bit of difficulty, I am able to get Text Edit to work correctly.
If you have any ideas as to why my menu bar and Text Edit type are still so slow, I'd love to have them.
(I went through the process you suggested earlier, re my Trackpad preferences, and found no improvement.)

you can reset the input source to Spanish by selecting the Keyboard pane of System Preferences, selecting the Input Sources tab, and pressing the “+” button in the lower-left corner to select one of the Spanish input sources. The “Spanish – ISO” input source is most similar to the physical Spanish keyboard layout.

I bought my wife a new MacBook Pro, in setting it up for her, I took her Time Machine external drive to migrate onto the new machine but her old MBP not only was on 10.6, it was my old machine which I was still Administrator for.
i plugged in the external drive to start the migration process after entering her name and username from the old machine which gave me the options on transferring the old data over.
I also unchecked the Administrative end that had my info hoping that ONLY her data, files, etc., would be the ones sent over to her new machine which I wanted her to be the ONLY Administrator for. All went like clockwork until the restart.
Normally the screen should show the username and only need the password but both entries were blank, as in ‘Other’ sign in option available only. I entered her name and password, nothing….used her username and password, nothing. Used my old Administrator name and password, NOTHING!
I tried defaulting to factory settings from the Restore feature but it directs me to notify Apple. I tried in Terminal to change the password, nothing. I tried to boot from MY external drive and it doesn’t recognize it. I tried to even use my external drive which actually has the Mavericks upgrade, nothing!
Basically I can only get the startup screen which isn’t accepting the username/password or the Restore feature which doesn’t offer any options helpful!
Please, how do I start from scratch and start over here? Or simply change the Administrator name and password so I can proceed with everything thats already on there? I wish I could even boot from another drive but no luck on anything!

First, on the old machine, make your wife's account an admin one. Log into it and delete yours. Then, update the TM backup. Finally, use Internet recovery mode, ⌘⌥R, erase the HD, and restore the OS. One first boot, follow the steps outlined in Pondini's Setup New Mac guide.

Help, 27" iMac won't detect Epson projector

I'm trying to connect a 27" to Epson projector via Mini Display to VGA adapter connected through VGA cable to the projector (that works fine with other pc)...the iMac doesn't detect it....

This has been a big pain. I got the machine back, started it at the shop and it "seemed" ok. When I got it home, after 30 minutes or so, the same problems came back. Another call to applecare, and a new case number was issued to replace the hard drive. New HD in, got the machine home, and the mouse wouldn't work! I could move the cursor, but not select anything. Sometimes during the restarts I could select things, the next time I couldn't, sometimes I could on one user account and not on another. New call to applecare, new case number, many things tried, but ended up re-installing the OS. So far it seems to work okay, BUT there is something weird going on with Mail.
As soon as it is started it basically consumes all the system memory. I can watch the available memory disappear in activity monitor where it says Mail is using nearly 100% of the CPU. If I go in to preferences-advanced in Mail and disable the account, it stops eating up resources.
Any clues to what is going on??

Display lags when using Projector Setting

Using the projector setting, I'm noticing a slight lag when I open/close any of the applications (ie: there is a momentary pause before the window either appears/disappears). Any way to fix that?
The external monitor is a Samsung Central Station (1920x1080) and connects to the laptop wirelessly via a USB/UWB dongle.

Where can I get epson scan setting for a TX700W

I need to get an 10.10 version of the epson scan setting to connect to a epson TX700W scanner. I have downloaded the latest print drivers and printing is all ok. But I cannot remotely scan from the printer. The Printer is on the network and is not connected via usb to my imac.
Any ideas. Many Thanks

Looking at the Epson Website, they claimed there was a TX700W Image Capture Architecture (ICA) driver and it was listed with the PX700W.
However, the Yosemite page does not indicate the TX700W has any drivers, but they do list the PX700W.
