Macbook Pro Retina Display - Sound and video doesn't work at the same time.

I just bought a macbook pro retina display and tried to watch a movie by connecting my macbook pro via hdmi to my home theater receiver (Onkyo TX-SR309) and into my HDTV (Sony Bravia 42"). My problem is, i don't get sound from the speakers connected to the receiver.
When i disconnect the HDTV from the receiver (only the receiver is connected to the macbook pro), then sounds will comes out from the speaker.
Can somebody help me to fix this problem?

With the HDMI connected and the Onkyo powered on, open system preferences, go to the sound panel, and select the HDMI choice.

If your MBP is under warranty, bring it to an Apple store and have the technicians fix it. If not, try the steps in this support article:

SCXI 1112 and 1302 doesn't run at the same time

Hi,
I have SCXI 1112 thermocouple input module, SCXI 1180 feedthrough panel , and a SCXI 1302 terminal block connected SCXI 1000 chassis with SCXI 1349 adapter. I am trying to measure voltage by using SCXI 1180&1302, and temperature by 1112 module at the same time. When chassis is on SCXI 1112 runs without a problem; however, voltage reading coming through SCXI 1349 makes no sense (plus I can't run them at the same time, LAbview gives an error). While the chassis' power is off, it is the other way around, SCXI 1349 runs smoothly.
In addition to that, a radiometer, connected to a power supply, is wired to SCXI 1302 terminal block. When power supply is on, SCXI 1112 module's temperature reading is 4 times higher than actual value. In other words, power supply effects the readings.
Could you please give me some advice to solve this problem?

One piece of the puzzle you left out is the DAQ card being used in the host computer.
Without looking at some specifics on the SCXI cards/connectors you are using, I will comment you must be careful when you are using an 1180 feedthrough module. Keep in mind, the SCXI chassis is Signal Conditioning -- it's nothing without the DAQ.
I would recommend you back up a few steps, simplify the setup and test each input channel from MAX -- making sure you aren't overlapping channels between the 1180 to the DAQ and the SCXI chassis. Remember, most data from the SCXI chassis comes in on a single channel of the DAQ through the 1349.

I have installed fring and it is working perfectly but when I tried to install Skype I found that both of them not working. must be one of them installed to work perfectly but other Nokia devices I see Skype and fring installed at the same time. so do anyne have any idea to solve this issue to make me install both of them at the same time since I need the both urgently.
I have voip server 2.00 installed.

HT4437 Can't get iTunes and monitor mirroring to work at the same time.

When I turn on my airplay on itunes it turns off the airplay from my monitor. I don't know how I've done it before but I sometimes can't play itunes and have it mirror my screen at the same time so I can use the visualizer. Whenever I turn one on, the other shuts off. I've done it before. Is there a specific sequence you need to run itunes and have the mirroring work too?

Lenovo g50-70 keyboard and touchpad won't work at the same time

My Lenovo g50-70 will not allow me to use my keyboard the touchpad at the same time. If' i'm moving the mouse pointer and then try to type something at the same time the pointer will stop moving until i stop typing. I've searched the dicussion boards for a solution to this problem and I have found posts that instruct me to minimize the palm tracking portion of the driver. I now have the palm tracking set to the minimum value but it has not made a difference to my problem. does anyone have another solution?

As per the query we understood that you are facing issue with keyboard and touchpad in your Lenovo G50-70 laptop.
Try to uninstall the touchpad driver and restart the system and reinstall the driver and check for the issue.

MacBook Pro 3,1 - Firewire Bus(ses?), 400 & 800 at the same time

I'm using an RME Fireface 800, which is a FW800 audio interface, but I also have a Maxtor FW400 hard drive.
I know if I daisy-chain the hard drive off the audio interface, then I will drop the bus speed to 400 Mbit/s, but will the same happen if I plug the hard drive into the FW400 port?
I know if I plug something into the FW400 port on my iMac this happens, so everything there is Firewire 800. Should I aim for the same with my MacBook Pro?

plug your camera in either that adapter or your internal FW port
plug your FW drive into the other
capture your video to the EXTERNAL drive.
edit your footage.
you don't say what software you are editing in (FCP, iMovie)

Will external speakers on both 3.5 mm and a USB port work at the same time?

Have two sets of speakers that I want the same audio on. If I connect one set of speakers to 3.5 mm audio out, and the other set to a USB port, will I hear audio coming out of both sets?
If that's possible, do you know if I can regulate volume independently on both sets through Mac Mini?

When I ordered my MacBook Pro (Retina Display late 2013) my order had said that the computer would come with an accessory kit but instead it came with a country kit. What is a country kit and why was the accessory kit exchanged with it?

Somehow when they were processing my order the accessory kit changed Into a country.

Ive downloade a movie but when watching it the sound and pic is not running at the same time, the sound is a few seconds after the pic. im running windows 8

Adobe and IT7 Does not work at the same time

When editing a video with Adobe Premier, I opened IT7 to have some background music. Except that whenever I move my mouse of hit any keys, the song fasts forward, or slows down. Also, only when I have Adobe open, does the sound come out staticy. Plays fine w/ any other programs.
Any suggestions?

Touchpad and kayboard will not work at the same time

I have a G505 and when i use the keyboard, i can not use the touch pad. I tried to go to mouse setting but i could not figure out what or if i should change any of that. Help would be appreciated. Thanks!

MacBook Pro Retina Display Quit - A1502

My MacBook Pro Retina display has quit. It stopped working in the middle of operation and will not come on. The computer boots fine (at least chimes), but nothing in the display. Have tried all possible keyboard resets--no luck. It was not set up for sharing, so can't log in remotely. Currently in Mexico, will bring to Apple Store on return. Any others with similar failures?

3 successive tones, a 5 second pause (repeating): This indicates RAM does not pass a data integrity check.
1 long tone while holding down the power button: Indicates an EFI ROM update is in progress on a computer manufactured before 2012.
3 long tones, 3 short tones, 3 long tones: Indicates EFI ROM corruption is detected and the computer is in EFI ROM recovery mode.

Hey, I have the same problem too. It is making me angry. Both my thunderbolt outputs work, but the hdmi freezes both screens. I then have to shut the computer off by holding the power button and re-boot. Have you found a solution? I NEED my hdmi port. Please get back to me. Thanks!
