I have tried to reset and restart my iPod touch but it remains stuck at the apple logo and turns off. The iPod is not responsive when i connect it to my computer or wall charger.

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - Try another cable
    - Try on another computer
    - If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • HT1657 I rented a movie on iTunes but I didn't have enough space on my phone.  So I backed up my phone erased my pictures and tried again and now it doesn't show I rented the movie that I paid for.

When I realized I didn't have space I backed up my phone and erased all the pictures on it to make room.  When I went in to try to download the rental it wasn't there anymore.

    Hello Chasa11,
It sounds like you paid for a rental but there was not enough space to download it, and after clearing some space you are unable to download it. If it is not appearing in the Rentals Tab of the Videos app I would check to see if you can resume the download in the iTunes Store app:
If your download was interrupted using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
From the Home screen, tap the iTunes app.
For iPhone or iPod touch, tap More > Downloads. For iPad, tap Downloads.
Enter your account name and password if prompted.
Tap the blue download arrow to resume.

So, about a week ago my macbook pro started having lots of issues: wifi connectivity, slow performance, sound issues, spotlight wasn't working. After going through the issues with apple support, they decided the best course of action was to erase the hard drive and do a reinstall. Since I have a recent backup this seemed like a good enough option. They were kind enough to send me a copy of the snow leopard disk to do the install since we couldn't get it to complete through the disk utility. Not sure why, since it says we are fully connected, it just never completed.
Anyway, so now that you have the background here is the new issue. The macbook pro keeps spitting out the disk I'm trying to install from. Disk utility and using the 'Startup Disk' function from the apple menu doesn't read the disk.
Can anyone suggest a solution to this vexing problem?
    Thanks in advance.

    Jeremy.Laurin,
have you tried agb76’s approach here?

My MacBook Pro was stolen less than a week ago, and I'm not sure if the hard drive was wiped, if it was wiped would I still be able to find it with the findiphone app? Or would it be untraceable after it was wiped? I had alot of special things on my laptop, and I would hate it if I didn't find it, so I'm hoping it wasn't wiped and I will be able to find it soon, HELP ME IF YOU CAN PLEASE! ANYTHING HELPS!

If you have records that show that you've taken your MacBook Pro in for a year to fix the machine, I would escalate the problem to Apple Customer Relations - unfortunately I don't have a number for Spain.
It would only seem logical to me that if you've been trying to have the machine repaired during the time that the 'recall' was in effect that you should be eligible for a new logic board. But only customer relations will be able to make that call.
Good luck - take the issue as high up the food chain as you can and see what happens.

  • MacBook Pro w/ OSX v10.6 refused to restart- reinstalled now slow

OK- here is what happened/I did:
    1.  I used it fine with FinalCut Pro, watching videos with QT10 and closed the lid one night, two weeks ago.
    2.  Next day I opened the lid and tried to view a video with QT10 only to be told that that version of QT was not compatible with my OS.
    3.  So I did the natural thing and tried to repair permissions.  Only to be told that my version of Disk Utitility was also not compatible with my OS installation.
    4.  I checked iTunes and it played.  Checked one other Mac app and it too worked fine.
    5.  Decided to restart and it wouldn't.  Got stuck on the grey screen with the timer clock going round and round for a good twenty minutes.  Tried again, with forced shut-down.  No dice.
    6.  Safe restart- no dice either.  Still going round and round (with the status bar popping up and disappearing in ever decreasing times every other time I tried.
    7.  Backed up crucial data NO problem a week or so ago, and then used its disk to do an archive reinstall.  Took a while, made all apps behave as though they were opening for the first time (which I expect, kind of).
    What I now note:
    1.  But now I get the following message when I repair permissions:  "Warning: SUID file "System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent" has been modified and will not be repaired."  I was going to ask just what that meant but thought I'd better put it in context.
2.I also have issues with Firefox which is on "go slow" in loading pages, the Bookmark tab is practically unselectable and will not drop down menu.
    3.  The computer, though now restartable, is very slow in starting.
    4.  I noted that the OS version went back down to 10.6.3 (to be expected of course)after the archive install, and that an update I just did (which seemed to not install OS updates, rather concentrating on iPhone/iTunes) went very quickly but DID upgrade to 10.6.8.
    5.  I struggle to eject external hard drives of late...  In fact last thing- they didn't at all.    The colourful beach ball is about a lot- not a happy bunny, me.
Can you advise?  Please and thank you.

  • My Macbook Pro is stuck on teh apple logo loading page

Hi, I started my macbook pro and it began on the gray screen with the apple logo loading sign. But it is stuck on this screen and does not go any further. I have checked the discussions on this sigt and other discussions and it says to restart the PRAM. Would it be smart to do that? and if so would it erase anything from the hard drive? I just wanted to make sure before I went foward with it because I am unfamiliar with repairing computers and dont really have the money to go and get it fixed.

You can try resetting the PRAM/NVRAM and/or the SMC. I don't know that either will do any good. It sounds as if your MBP isn't finding the boot disk. If I were you, I would startup with the installation disc (optical) that came with your computer and use Disk Utility to both repair permissions and then verify and repair, if needed, you hard drive. You may have a hardware failure.
    Good luck,

My MacBook Pro fell and now when I turn it on its stuck at the apple logo screen with a loading circle underneath it. What can I do to get passed this?

Sounds like something internal was damaged in the fall, probably the disk drive. Take to Apple and ask them to fix it.

Can anyone help me with this issue???

Connect your iTouch to your PC then open iTunes, if iTunes does not recognize your device, try to hold the SLEEP Button and the HOME button at the same time (iPod Reset) for a couple of seconds until the "Charging Tone sounds, now you should be seeing your device name in the iTunes " Device List". If you do, just click RESTORE and iTunes will automatically restore your iTouch to original set-up and download the iOS6 update.
    Hope this helps..

I am the administrator of my MacBook Pro, which I share with my kids. One of them forgot his password, so as the admin I changed it for his account, but  when I try to see his account, it says I need to provide the keychain password. How can i get it? I have no idea how to sort this out...

First, make sure caps lock is not on.
You must back up all data before continuing, unless you've already done so. If you need to back up but can't log in, ask for instructions.
If the user account is associated with an Apple ID, and you know the Apple ID password, then maybe the Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password.
Otherwise*, boot into Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
    Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. In the Terminal window, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window opens.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password. It's safest to choose a password that includes only the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9.
    Select
     ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.
You should now be able to log in with the new password, but your Keychain will be reset (empty.) If you've forgotten the Keychain password (which is ordinarily the same as your login password), there's no way to recover it.
*Note: If you've activated FileVault, this procedure doesn't apply. Follow instead the instructions on this page:
If you forget the password and FileVault is on
