Macbook to tv tuner

I am trying to run my dvi out put through a tuner box for my tv so i can utalize the tvs speakers. It seems that the computer dosnt recognize it as a display tho. It works fine if i go directly into the tv, not going thro box. If i go thro the box i am able to sync the audio to via the same input allowing me to utalize the tvs speakers aswell. Any sugestions would be appriated. Thanks judd

Are you sure the DVI connector on the tuner box isn't an output only? It seems unusual that a tuner box would have a DVI input, or an input of any kind except for a cable/antenna input. So maybe whatever you are connecting to on the tuner box is, in fact, an output connection and not an input connection.

The update did not do anything.
AT&T cannot and will not do anything, they do not provide support for iPhones, Apple does.
The issue is not with the iPhone or iOS if you've reset network settings and tried forgetting the Wi-Fi Network, it is specific to the network.
Check the settings on the router, try disabling the security settings first... that will clarify the issue is not with the device but rather the Network.

Macbook Pro TV Tuner & Battery Management

Just wondering (and waiting for my MBP to arrive) if anyone knows a TV Tuner that is Universal for the MBP...I've been looking at the Miglia TVMini but I'm not sure if the software is Universal. Does anyone have this on their MBP? What's it like? How's the freeview reception? Any screenshots?
Another thing...been looking in the forum for info on how to manage the battery...with my current laptop I just take the laptop without the charger when I'm out and as soon as I get home I plug it in for about 7-8 hours most days. 2 years later and the battery doesn't last long at all. Does the charger on the MBP stop charging the MBP at 100%? Can you keep the charger in without ruining or reducing the life of the battery, and then take it out when you want?

Elgato's eyeTV 1.8.5 will work under Rosetta and therefore in theory should work with your MBP.
They are working on a Universal version of eyeTV 2.0.
I use an eyeTV 410 with my PowerMac (and have used the DTT with my PowerBook).
If you have a decent aerial then you can get excellent reception, this is a screen shot of a film recorded from Channel 4.

Can iTunes Match find different music on iPod and MacBook without overwriting one?

I have an iPod nano that has playlists not on any other device. It was synched with a laptop that died and iTune playlists were not transferred. I now have a MacBook Air with iTunes with a new and different playlist. I want to get my iPod playlists on another device without losing anything. And keep the tunes on my MacBook. These tunes are not from the iTunes store. I'm wondering if iTunes Match can help and how I'd use it to keep both playlists. Thanks.

Itunes match works by scanning your iTunes library on your computer. Any music on your ipod that is not on your computer will need to be transferred.
However, when you sync your ipod with your computer, you wll only get the music and playlists from your computer..

Issue with i tunes freezing

So the problem is i have a MacBook, and i tunes 11.0.4. I tunes is running fine but as soon as plug in my ipod, my iphone or my ipad is freezes and i have to force to quit. it sends a report apple but im not getting any answers.

Video podcast not downloading

For the past few days it seems like all my video podcast will not download properly. They look like they are downloading and when they are done I get a grey explanation point and when I click on the podcast I get a message about a corrupt file or a file that i-tunes can't play.
Also my regular podcast from time to time go out and get every podcast in a feed and then starts downloading them all even though in the prefs. I have it set only to download the most recent podcast.
I tried this on my mac mini I-tunes 7.1 and on my macbook pro i-tunes 7.0.2

I have two Macs, an i-Mac flat screen that runs on OSX.4.11 and i-tunes 9 and a MacBook Intel Duo that runs on Snow Leopard and i-tunes 10. I have carefully followed all the Advanced instructions for sharing music libraries, which is not a problem; however I am unable to transfer following the instructions to drag the music I want from t he i-Mac flat screen library onto the MacBook. Help! Please! Also, my new Nano will not accept i-tunes 9 which is where I have my old i-pod contents stored--the old i-pod died. Many thanks!

UPDATE: I disconnected the iPhone, restarted it, and tried again to sync it with the iTunes library on the iMac. This time it worked
Now I'm going to try to transfer the music into the iTunes library on the PowerBook, then sync with that, delete the library on the iMac, and sync the (hopefully full of all my music) iPhone with the iMac again.

Have a new MacBook Pro 15" retina. After login to my I tunes account I can't get it to download my apps library. A few have appeared but not all. Music is ok . Any ideas to help ?

On my Macbook pro there are about 200 tunes that I am not able to play that I downloaded from my 1100 tunes on my old mac lap top and why?

On an iPad with iTunes, do you know if you can edit/delete all your tunes on your device with a "clear all" button rather than having to delete a song one by one like you have to do on an iPhone if not synching via a MacBook/ PC with iTunes account?

I'm signed up to the Cloud and itunes match - the whole game. But I cam getting annoyed with having to delete songs one by one on my iPhone once dowloaded from the cloud as I only have a 16GB phone....yes I listen to music non-stop! Recently got a new iPod 4th gen; I had previously backed up to iCloud and subscribed to iTunes Match, and then wound up syncing the new iPod to my MacBook Pro; all iCloud tunes were downloaded to Mac but won't all sync to the iPod - any suggestions?

Recently got a new iPod Touch 4th gen; I had previously backed up to iCloud and subscribed to iTunes Match, and then wound up syncing the new iPod to my MacBook Pro; all iCloud tunes were downloaded to Mac but won't all sync to the iPod after multiple attempts, despite all songs showing properly on the Mac and multiple syncs occurring after all songs were properly reflected on the Mac. I updated iTunes Match from the iTunes Store menu as well pre-sync.
I should mention that I had previously had the library on a Dell (which is still running) and shared it on my home network. While all iTunes purchases now show in the Dell, the Mac is the device I use for all syncs.
There appears to be no rhyme or reason to the iCloud physical sync failure - some songs were legacy, some were purchased via the PC, some on the old iPod.
The Mac shows all the songs correctly and none show iCloud status -all have been downloaded, but the downloaded songs that were previously showing up as iCloud based aren't syncing to the iPod.
Is there any way to force all music being seen by my iPod as iCloud to download to so I can listen to them offline? Is there a way to force the sync from iTunes?

The "system" performed as designed. All devices syncing to one iCloud account are kept in common sync. The idea is that all such devices belong to one user. Different users should have different iCloud accounts. Once your contacts were edited, all devices were updated as well and subsequent backups (from yours and her device) reflected the changed contacts (and any other data that may have been edited like calendars). Your first task is to change your daughter over to a new account before she makes other changes.
The only way I see for getting back contacts is to restore them from a time machine backup, assuming you also have a Mac included in the account which syncs the contacts. However, I'm not sure whether time machine includes contacts from iCloud along with those that are local, "on my Mac".
Otherwise the deleted contacts are gone.

I used to own a pc which i had lots of music on it i transfered this music onto my i phone from my pc and i have hundreds of songs on my i phone. a large portion of these songs were not purchsed on i tunes. I hadnt used my pc in about a year since i was in a living situation where i didn't have any internet. after a year of neglect my pc no longer works and i have no way to access these songs other than on my i phone. There has been some new remixes i have downloaded onto my macbook that were not available on i tunes but i need to get them onto my phone. I can't get them onto my phone without synching my phone to the computer and i can't synch my iphone to my computer without deleting the majority of my current music. is there a way to either get the music off my iphone onto my itunes without deleting all my current music or get my new music from my macbook onto my iphone.

That crash appears to be casued by the Facebook plug-in.
Create a new account (systempreferences -> accounts or Users & Groups on 10.7 and 10.8), make a new Library in that account, import some shots and see if the problem is repeated there. If it is, then a re-install of the app might be indicated. If it's not, then it's likely the app is okay and the problem is something in the main account.
