I see an impressive collection of LaunchAgents, Launch Daemons, Internet Plugins and drivers for who knows what. At this point I would like to suggest a completely clean install of your system (after making a complete backup of course).
At the very least uninstall the Kaspersky software completely, and the same with what remains of the terrible CleanMyMac software.

  • MacBook Pro (15-inch, Early 2011) Repair Extension Program

    Hallo Community,
I have a MacBookPro (15-inch, Early 2011). The Logic board has been replaced two times (free of charge) by Apple.
Next week the three months warranty for the latest repair expires.
The computer is doing fine now, there is no evidence of video distortions.
But the machine rebooted unexpectedly 5 or 6 times.
I' ve used the "check your coverage" tool in the Apple repair extension page, and my model matches the list of affected products.
This means that if the machine persists in rebooting unexpectedly or the logic boards fails again I am still eligible for support from Apple until 27 Feb 2016? is that correct? Or do you suggest I bring the machine in for repair while still under warranty?
    Thank you for your time.
    Richard.

    This is the relevant paragraph:
The program covers affected MacBook Pro models until February 27, 2016 or three years from its original date of sale, whichever provides longer coverage for you.

You are covered to at least the expiration date, Feb 27, 2016.  Or if you purchased your MBP after Feb 27, 2013, you will be covered until the three year anniversary of the purchase.
    Ciao.

  • SSD compatability with MBP 17 inch early 2011?

    Hi
I am abit of a newb at this so I thought I would hear you guys about it.
I wish to replace my current HD with a SSD harddisk. I am thinking of getting a 500 GB one, either a samsung 840 series MZ-7TD500 500GB or a Crucial M4 512 GB (If they work). Links can be seen here:
    Samsung: http://www.edbpriser.dk/ssd-solid-state-drive/samsung-840-series-mz-7td500-500-g b-id-7036680.aspx
    Crusial: http://www.edbpriser.dk/ssd-solid-state-drive/crucial-m4-512-gb-id-4955343.aspx
What I am worried about is wherever they are combatible with my MacBookPro 17 inch Early 2011
I am not really sure what to look for so a full spec's of my laptop can ben seen here: http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/macbook_pro/specs/macbook-pro-core-i7-2.2- 17-early-2011-unibody-thunderbolt-specs.html
If anyone could also explain what I should look for so I don't have to ask again in the future I would be gratefull
Sorry for the danish links, but I hope its still readable.

  • Vertical Pink pixel line 17-inch, Early 2011 MacbookPro

For the past week my MBP has been acting up. When I irk on 2-3 programs simultaenously ,the screen gets distorted and I am forced to press and hold the power button to reset.
Today there is a permanent pink pixel line on my display.
Is there any workaround solution or anyway to switch off the AMD graphics card ? I believe thats the culprit.
    I have a 17 inch early 2011 2.2 Ghz Intel Core i& with 4GB DDR3 RAM on OSX 10.9.4

  • Graphics card failure in MacBook Pro (17-inch, Early 2011)

    Hi!
This is what my MacBook Pro (17-inch, Early 2011) looks like many days!!!
    What can I do?
    kt

It is a known issue in 2011-2013 MacBooks Pro. Today Apple has announced a free replacement program for those MacBooks Pro with defective GPUs (it looks like yours is one of them) which starts today in the United States and Canada, and in February 27th in the rest of the world. • MacBook Pro 15-inch Early 2011 vs MacBook Air 13-inch 2013

Hello. I currently own a MacBook Pro 15-inch, early 2011 model. It has 8 GB of RAM, a quad-core, 2.3 GHz i7 processor, hi-res, anti-glare display, an AMD 6750m and Intel HD 3000. I bought it off of an Apple product store on Ebay about 3 and a half months ago. It was 1,350$. It was in perfect condition when I bought it, and it still is. I'm really into producing music, and I use Reason 6.5. I also do some other small things on my laptop, like word-processing, web-browsing and I bring it to school everyday. I was wandering if I should sell this laptop on Ebay, and buy a brand-new Macbook Air, 13-inch, 2013 model. The laptop is a little thick and heavy, and its battery-life is nothing compared to the MacBook Air. I really value battery-life I would probably upgrade the RAM to 8 gigs, and maybe upgrade the processor to 1.7 GHz, maybe upgrade the SSD to 256, but I might not. I was wandering if this would be a good idea. How much would I be able to sell this laptop for on Ebay? Is the MacBook Air weaker or stronger than the laptop I am using now? Screen real estate is something that matters a lot when using a music program, which is why I initially went for this laptop. Now, since the MacBook Air is smaller, I know that it displays just as much as this laptop does, so I don't think that the screen size would be that big of a problem. I am thinking about saving up for a 27-inch iMac, which would then be my primary machine, but if I were able to buy one, it wouldn't be for awhile. Anyways, Thanks to anybody who can help me!

Is the MacBook Air weaker or stronger than the laptop I am using now
Its stronger in alloy form factor, slim design with only ONE moving part, no HD to crash from mechanical failure of impact etc.
Ive got an Imac and current Air, and owned several Air, the air is the hands down choice for myself and I wouldnt part with it for any amount of money.  Also own a couple macbook Pro, new and older one i rebuilt.
Here is an excellent video comparison between the 11” I5 vs. I7 2013 Macbook Air.

    Macbook Air:
Only one moving part, ultrafast boot time SSD, the full power of laptop with the weight of an Ipad (close).
Air is the only Mac that has Haswell, 802ac wifi, and incredible 12hr. batt life in 13" I5. HOWEVER NOW the new Pro have 802ac wifi
Recommend buying the Air with 8gig Ram.
Pack around a regular laptop around about 20 days, then an Air, .....after that the standard laptops stays at home.
Only one moving part, the fan. No moving HD heads to crash or moving platters.  Runs a LOT cooler than anything else out there (which = durability).  Heater is a killer on a scale of 10X over that of accidents.
Also the AIR has far fewer parts to fail inside than a standard laptop.  Really only a few replacement parts
The speakers on the Air, contrary to what most people would assume, are much louder than on the macbook Pro.
The Air in general is faster due to the SSD, also if you have a 802ac Router (i.e. Airport Extreme) then the Air over wifi is a LOT faster.
If youre going to be dragging a notebook around campus all the time, the Air makes things a lot more lovely.
The FINAL consideration of course is your application USE, and needs regarding same (see specs and video above)
The new Air, NOW with Mavericks is just 'king of the hill'. Nothing touches it

  • (MacBook Pro 15-inch, Early 2011) Wi-Fi: No hardware installed...

The Wi-Fi hardware irregularly connects to the network. Once the WiFi is disconnected, it cannot be reconnected unless restart or shutdown. I restart or shutdown to "refresh" the scenario but the problem has grown more frequent. I can connect to the network through Ethernet and when Wi-Fi functions. I really need the Wi-Fi to function to make use of this computer  at home and at work. Aside from going to a Genius Bar, what else can be done to troubleshoot a rogue Wi-Fi hardware connection?
    Thanks!
    MacBook Pro 15-inch, Early 2011
    2.3 GHz Intel Core i7
    4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB
    OSX 10.9.5

    Reset PRAM.
Reset SMC (but no visual indication of reset).
The Wi-Fi is able to turn on and off (improved).
A day goes by with good connection.
Wi-Fi is now disconnecting realiably within 60 min of restart, no ability to toggle on and off after disconnection.
Hardware remains displayed as installed (improved).
The problem is still present. Could this be a hardware issue? I do not have AppleCare and hope to resolve this independently from Apple. Anymore troubleshooting suggestions are much appreciated.
    Thank You!

  • Can I install one 8 GB ram in a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011).

Can I install one 8 GB ram in a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Early 2011).  The other slot is not working, I have only one slot that works. It is stated in this link http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1270#link1 , that the maximum memory is 8 GB where every slot slot has 4 Gb.  Is there any problem if i install only one 8 Gb ram in the working slot ?

You should be able to do that.
    Maximum Memory
16 GB (Actual) 8 GB (Apple)
    Memory Slots
    2 - 204-pin PC-10600 (1333 MHz) DDR3 SO-DIMM
Understand that there is no guarantee it will work, but based on the above it should work for you.

  • HT201300 What cable should be used to connect a macbook pro, 13 inch early 2011 model to an external projector so it will display the computer screen image through the projector?

What cable should be used to connect a macbook pro, 13 inch, early 2011 model to an external projector so the project displays the image on the computer screen?

You will need a cable or adapter with a minidisplay connection for the MBP.  That will be inserted in the Thunderbolt port.  The other end is dependent upon the connections of the projector which you have not listed.
    Ciao.

Have deleted (secure delete) and reinstalled several times. Got it to open once right after download... Usually crashes/hangs upon attempted start-up, then shows as "Application unresponsive".   Must be forced to quit.
No other audio interfaces or drivers installed that I am aware of. Playback through onboard audio interfaces, sometimes routed to Apple TV via Cat 5 cable, out to receiver via fiber optic SPDIF, or to Panasonic HDTV via HDMI cable through Thunderbolt port.

    Welcome to Apple Support Communities
Of course. Corsair RAM is compatible with your Mac and the Early 2011 MacBook Pro supports 16 GB of memory. Make sure you buy the correct memory for your MacBook Pro. See > http://www.corsair.com/us/memory-by-product-family/mac-memory-upgrades.html

  • MacBook Pro (13-inch Early 2011) not staring up at all

    Hi Everyone,
I have MacBook Pro (13-inch Early 2011). Since couple of weeks my Mac suddenly shuts down, when I try to restart it again I am not getting any response, no fan voice, no screen start up, no lights nothing. I read couple of blogs and found that in such situations we should check the battery by pressing the side button however no light flashes there. Since two weeks I am observing that sometimes after 3-4 days when I try to switch on my mac it works perfectly fine and after using it for 1-2 days it again unexpectedly shuts down and if I try to switch on it just after this it is not responding at all. When it is dead and I connect charger to my mac I see only dim green light which is unusual. When it is working and I connect the charger I see the green light as it was before.
I had also given my mac to Authorized Service Center for repair, they have already reset SMC, PRAM, however my issue isn’t resolved. I told them that this is happening again and again, they are saying that we have checked everything and there are no hardware issues, probably we need to format the entire mac.
Looking at the problem I described, do you guys have any suggestion? Formatting my mac is the solution or there is a hardware issue?
    Please suggest.
    Thanks!

You can install OS X on a external drive, boot from it and test it and rule out the possibility of software being the cause.
.Create a data recovery/undelete external boot drive
