Mail 3.6: Can't fetch mail after initial run of fetched mail

I'm running mail 3.6 with OSX 10.5.8. It has always worked well, but lately it has stopped fetching mail unless I restart or re-boot mail, then it fetches everything but the next time it tries to fetch, it gets hung up and the activity window shows "fetching mail" with the candy cane spinning around, but nothing happens. The activity window also shows attempts to fetch mail that has already been fetched, but nothing is fetched unless I restart the computer or reboot mail. Very strange behavior, and it only happens on my Mac Pro. I can fetch mail from all accounts normally with my power book, so the problem is not with my server.

I have exactly the same problem on Snow Leopard with Mail 4.5 except re-booting doesn't work. even re-installing Mail has made no difference.

First, return the book you have borrowed. You won't be able to do that after registering properly.
Then, get an Adobe account/ID if you don't already have one (you may have needed one to get opn this forum?)
Goto adobe.dom website and try to sign in. It will lead you through the steps to create a new account/ID.
Then, in ADE, choose menu/Help/Authorize Computer (Library/Authorize Computer on the older more reliable ADE v1.7.2)
and follow through what it asks
Then, in ADE with Nook plugged in, menu/Help/Authorize Device(Library/Authorize Device on v1.7.2)

Time Capsule can't be found after initial backup

I am having real problems with a brand new 2TB Time Capsule.
It will allow me to connect wirelessly and make the initial time machine backup but once that has completed (which it does successfully) it refuses to then find the disk again.
I've upgraded it to the latest firmware (7.7.2) which got over a "Internal Hard Drive Needs Repair" error message I was getting and has allowed me to make a fresh backup but once that's done it wont complete anymore and will eventially just fail.
I've tried reseting and reforming the time machines hdd but always end up back at the screen above.
Can anyone help at all?

I've tried what you said. There was no drive mounted so in finder i disconnected from the TC. I then tried your manually mount method which didn't work. Just refused to find the TC despite it being on and me rebooting it. Used both name and IP address just kept saying it's not there or isn't connected.
Tried removing the TC disk from the preferences and then re-adding it but now it just hangs at this:

Can't update iPod after having run iPod Updater

I brought an iPod video (30Gb) a few weeks ago. I ran the iPod updater yesterday as prompted but now every time I connect my it to my G5 iMac iTunes will get as far as showing the progress bar of the first track to be transfered but then come up with an error message saying "The iPod "Name" cannot be updated. An unknown error occured (-208). I've tried using the iPod Updater to wipe the iPod and replace everything on there, but after that I just got same message. I even tried reinstalling iTunes, even though I'm running the latest version.
Apple, if this isn't sorted soon I'll be demanding a refund, because your update has made my product almost unusable.
Also, why on earth is there not a tech support phone number?!

Analog Switch can not turn off after stop running

Attached is the VI of analog switches.
My problem is:
After I stop running the VI, the digital channels keep sending signal as the VI shows. But I want to every channel signal to be 0 when I press stop.
Is there any way to do this?

Simply do another DAQmx Write before the Close Task.

Firefox hangs after initial run after install.

Been using Firefox forever. All of a sudden it starts hanging 5 seconds after it loads. If I uninstall Firefox then re-install it works perfectly for as long as needed. After I close the application then re-open it freezes every time.
Tried restore, safemode, etc. Repeatable failure every single time.
Any ideas?

I always used Sparrow to manage my emails and since yesterday he can't fetch my inbox emails from iCloud.
I've already tryed several times with others mail clients and the same problem No problem at all with the other folders (sent, trash,...) just with INBOX folder.

Outlook will not launch properly after initial attempt at setting up Exchange e-mail

I initially posted this on the general Outlook forum, but they said it was an Exchange problem so I should post it here for an answer.
I recently had to wipe my laptop and perform a clean install of Win 7 Home Professional 64 Bit. I re-downloaded and installed my Office Suite (University 2010 ... basically everything in Professional), and can access everything except Outlook. I
attempted to set up my school e-mail on it (which I have successfully set up on my desktop), but it wouldn't connect to the server. It wouldn't let me cancel the set up, and now every time I try to open Outlook I get this error message:
The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.
Yes, I've verified I'm online. :)
When I click OK, a new window pops up that says "Microsoft Exchange" and has my server and mailbox info, with a "check name" button. When I click the check name, I get the same error as above; occasionally Outlook will hang in "not
responding" and I have to force close the program.
I tried uninstalling and re-installing Office, but no change (I'm guessing there were some registry files or something that hung around and keep trying to get back in). I've tried going to Control Panel > Mail > E-mail Accounts and removing the

I set it up exactly like I did in Outlook on my desktop computer. At this point I just want to get the account info off Outlook so I don't have to deal with it, even though I won't be able to check my school e-mail from my laptop without going through

I'm sure someone will give more detail, but it looks like the server blocked your address because it thinks it's a spam source. If you're not spamming, then it might be someone on the same network spamming, or malware on your computer doing it. Or it could just be a mistake. try calling whoever runs your mail server and see if they can give you more information.

Can't fetch XMLType after getting first row

Hi - when I call OCIDefineObject in a sub function, after getting the first row of XMLType value, the program can't fetch subsequent rows and stops. If I call OCIDefineObject in the same memory space of where the fetch call locates, it works out fine. Somehow the persistency of xmldocnode can not last.
Any clues? I can email out both working/non-working programs upon request.

The problem is that you passing addresses of local variables in defineXML for xmlSize and indp, when the addresses you pass must remain valid for the whole fetch. (xmlSize is not written to apparently, by indp is for sure, so you are writing/corrupting your program stack...)
To resolve this, I use a stack allocated helper struct whose lifetime extends the fetch, and which is referenced in the bind_object method. --DD

After initial messaging server 'configure', amadmin can no longer log in

RHEL 4, JES 2005Q4
After install, amadmin can log into amconsole just fine. Under Sessions, Max Session time is 120 minutes. But after I run messaging 'configure' script and restart webserver, amadmin user can only log in to amconsole for roughly 8 seconds before being kicked out due to session timing out. If I quickly click Sessions, it shows 0 minutes max time, 0 minutes left, etc. Trying to log in as admin user results in "User has no profile in this organization." message.
The install log shows a few strange things:

I am running configure as root, and libmailwave.so exists and is readable. The last line of an strace on 'imtacli cnbuild' has this to say:

but that file does exist and is readable by anyone!

the imsimta (mta cli) program is broken in Linux editions. There is a patch for that, currently available only from tech support.
Not likely the cause of your other issue, though.
Check what's happening in your ldap access log when you try to log in.
Possible there's a clue there.

The only email I have ever comes across for complaints would be [email protected] (it is not mis-spelled). I don't know if it is still of use.
Chat is going to be your only option for getting help, and you shouldn't be surprised if they don't offer help due to your product no longer being supported (sad but true).
If you had not mentioned that you have an email confirming you registered (double-check that) I would have told you that you probably did not purchase thru Adobe and never registered it so they have no record of you owning it. They do not email serial numbers for disc purchases - they are provided with the discs as you were told in chat.

I can't send email after the iOS7 update....this is a show stopper for me. When is a fix expected?

First it would help if you explain exactly what happens when you send an email.
Do you get an error message?
If so what does the message say?
The abilitly to send or receive emails does not fall on Apple or the IOS 7.
You email provider gives you that ability.
Double check and make sure your outgoing mail server is correct.
