Mail changes not allowed

Why nokia does not allow , mails to be edited?This is for office exchange server mails.(not on gmail,yahoo etc)
I am unable to edit the conntets of original mail ,when i forward or try to reply to the mails.
e72 doesnt allow to copy ,cut ,paste or any modify any contents of the original mail to which i try to repsond.strange!

What software version are you using in the phone?
You can check this by typing in *#0000# in your phone
Do you know what version of Microsoft Exchange server you are connecting to?
(Microsoft Exchange 2003, 2007 or 2010)
I would suggest that you ask the server admin to create a new test account on the server, and then configure this on your phone. Alternatively put a colleagues e-mail account credentials in your phone and test how the phone acts.
If it works as it should with a another account it could be problem on your account related to server policies that only the Exchange server admin can look into

It does, but you can do better then that. You can set gmail as exchange, it will give you even more options.
The only thing that you need to know additional to regular stuff, is that instead of gmail you have to use Microsoft Exchange, and the name of google server is m.google.com. Instructions right here.

MAIL will not allow iCloud alias to receive mail

I am not a novice. I have been on iCloud (sadly) since July 2011. Today I tried to activate an email alias which was transferred into iCloud. It's valid and has been for years, but not activate since I migrated to iCloud.
Every time I set up the existing alias in MAIL I get the error "invalid incoming mail server." I have used the Apple recomendation to use imap.mail.me.com. When it comes time to exist ACCOUNT under Mail PREFERENCES, it will never SAVE changes as the incomding mail server information is grayed out and goes back to "example" and is not accessible.
I have also entered p99-imap.mail.me.com with the same result.
Two hours of going to icloud.com or managing my apple id online have brought exactly the same result. Although the alias shows as activated under icloud.com and although it is accepted by MAIL, the message is always the same (invalid incoming mail server) and the account change can never be saved in MAIL.

I have a business with MobileMe accounts and we are going to be forced to migrate to icloud in a few months. I have nightmares about it alraedy.
Since Apple doesn't give a good cr*p about this, I humbly ask if there is anyone who really knows what is going wrong and how to work around it?
Again: I migrated to icloud with my apple id in July 2011. MAIL will NOT set up my icloud alias as it always grays out the incoming mail server and returns the error "invalid incoming mail server" and will not even allow me the save the information.

Thank you for your suggestions.
I already have an ALIAS set up and receiving emails in my main INBOX under the alias name. It is a MobileMe alias from my separate business mac account. It has worked as a separate "account" under MAIL for 10 years. It is an ALIAS, not a main identity mac account. The System Preference panel is ACCOUNTS, not aliases, so I use the word "account" when I speak of setting up a new inbox with a different name and password whether that is an iCloud alias or a gmail account.
We may be talking about the same thing but I'm not using a word you use. I am allowed 3 icloud mail aliases. I am allowed 5 mail aliases under my business mac account. On my mac MAIL I already have three separate "accounts" or inboxes: (1) my private mac ID account (2) my business MAC account (3) an alias from my business account. All three have different passwords. None of the three gets emails sent the other two "accounts."
Maybe I just don't get "icloud." I certainly got "MobileMe" in the past. The alias that is currently working as a separate "account" or "identity" under MAIL is proof of that.
I am going to delete the "alias account" from MAIL and call it a day. For me, iCloud is commensurate with Windows ME in the history of computing: a stupid change that resulted in nothing but aggravation for everybody who was dumb enough to sign up for it. I won't be signing up for the next "big thing" from Apple. I'm sure there are tens of thousands of other users who feel equally "used" by Apple on this.
I'm marking the question ANSWERED and closing the thread. iCloud is iCrap and nothing I've experienced with it in six months has changed that opion and the fact that you can get a gmail account operating in MAIL in 2 minutes but you can't get an iCloud email alias working in five hours is just more fuel on that bonfire.
Thank you again for your couresty and your time. I doubt if my business account, which has to be downgraded to iCloud in a few months, will function at first and I doubt if the 10-year-old alias on that account will continue to function in MAIL.

Mail will not allow me to add a new account.

Mail will not all me to set a an email/note account. The entry fields, ID and password clear onceI press the enter key.

I had tried that previously with no results. So, I changed the password with the provider. Next I resubmitted the ID and password, ignoring the Yahoo button, but instead choosing the Other button. It was successful. Sometimes it's necessary to change the playing field, rather than put up with the potholes. Thanks for your help.

Bypassing TCP port 25 restriction (i.e. worst ISP EVER; Mail is not allowed

The private company that runs my DOES NOT ALLOW Smtp connections on its "hi speed internet connection".
Meaning that Mail cannot function and I have to check via webmail.
I'm serious.
Their FAQ states:
Can I use email clients such as Microsoft Outlook or Outlook Express to send and receive emails?
No, you will only be able to use web browser based email such as Hotmail or Gmail; this is due to limitations (on TCP port 25) which have been implemented to protect you against other computer users sending unsolicited bulk emails (SPAM) via your computer.
Does anyone know a way to get around this as I NEED the functionality of Mail.....

Beginning January 1, 2006 Port 587 has been standardized as the port to use for authenticated SMTP servers although most will still work with Port 25 as well. More and more ISPs are blocking port 25 as various jurisdictions are holding them responsible for spam and/or viruses originating on their network. With unauthenticated SMTP anyone can send using that server whether they have an account or not. So the ISPs block that port with the sole exception of their own SMTP server so they can scan the messages for spam and viruses. With an authenticated SMTP server where a valid account id and password are required to send messages the provider of the server assumes the responsibility for scanning all traffic through their server thus relieving the ISP of the liability.
Whether you think this is a big brother step or not, with estimates that spam on the internet is running as high as 70% of all email traffic, if it weren't for restrictions like this email would rapidly become an unusable tool. The only annoying thing I have found about this is how few ISP Tech Support people know about this. To often their solution is "you can only use another email provider through their webmail interface."

Serial Number changes not allowed at Goods receipt level

Hi Gurus,
I have created serial number at the time production order creation. But at the time of goods receipt my user change the serial number manually and save the document. My requirement is system should not allow changing the serial number in goods receipt level.
Example:
Prod. Order: 10001
Qty: 1
Serial No: 20100001.
At the time of goods receipt user change the serial number as 20100003.
Is it possible to restrict the serial number changes at goods receipt level?

Not in front of the system, but if i remember correctly one of these enhancements has a check on serial numbers,
1. User exit -> MBCF0002
2. BADi -> WORKORDER_GOODSMVT or MB_DOCUMENT_BADI
Check & revert if it meets your need.

hi all
i have 1 material & for this material is trading good but due to mistake i have created this material with material type FERT.but if i am going to change material type HAWA instead of this material type FERT system not allowed.showing error Purchse order is in process.how can i delete purchase order if already GR & GI happen for some material.what is sort closed.if i do sort closeed can i change material type.please suggest me.

To dlete PO which is in process for GR and GI has happened.....
Go to Tcode MIGO........Select Cancellation option....and enter the GR and GI document and save it..It will cancell the document...
Now go to ME22N and select the line item for that material ...and click on delete button and save,
Now try to change Material type in Tcode MMAM..

Build 10061 - Mail - Will not allow me to add accounts

Trying to use built in App for mail, but it is not allowing me to add accounts to it. Screen does nothing. Any one else have this problem?

Create a New admin account and then check the things out.
And the below is the known issue mentioned in the Windows blog:
The version of the Mail and Calendar apps included in this build (17.4008.42281.0) have a known issue that causes every typed letter to appear twice. Which might be funny if it weren’t so irritating. We have fixed this issue with updated versions of the
apps (17.4016.42291.0) available in the Windows Store Beta (grey tile). If you don’t open the Mail and Calendar apps within the first 15 minutes after logging in to your device for the first time after upgrading and your device is connected to the Internet,
the apps should update automatically. You can also go into the Store Beta and check for updates manually at any time.

Material changes not allowed

Hello all
Currently our master data is created and changed in system A and ALE'd to system B. When i go to MM02 i cant change the material in System B as all fields are grayed out.
Can some one please tell me where the config is so that the users can change these fields.

Hello Zaid,
Check out the master data maintainance policy of your organization. As I understood, the master data will be maintained in system A and transferred in system B. The users are not allowed to change the master data in System B.
Discuss with your basis team if they have setup reverse syncronization (Any changes made in System B should be updated in System A as well), if not then work with them.

Mail does not allow signed message with .Mac certificate

Hi all,
until a few weeks ago, I was able to send signed or encrypted message with my .Mac account and .Mac certificate. Both of them are still valid, and I can still read all messages I sent as encrypted and/or signed, however, Mail does not show the two buttons to crypt and/or sign emails. The certficate seems to work to encrypt iChat dialogs as well.
I repaired my Keychain, looked at how certficates were configured, everything seems normal to me.
Any clue ??

Well, it seems that we've come across something finally.
In comparing notes, my friend (who is currently able to sign and encrypt messages) and I were comparing notes on our respective certificates. In doing so, he pointed out that he'd noticed a difference in the PURPOSE of my cert versus his cert.
His cert shows the following purposes:
1 - Client Authentication
2 - Email Protection
3 - Apple .Mac Identity
4 - Apple iChat Signing
5 - Apple iChat Encryption
Whereas mine only shows these purposes:
1 - Client Authentication
2 - Apple iChat Signing
3 - Apple iChat Encryption
Another thing I noticed while comparing his cert to mine after he pointed this out...his cert is due to expire at the end of October. Mine, on the other hand, was created this past Friday.
Now, from what I understand, these certs expire one year from date of issue, unless they are revoked earlier. So, I suppose the big question to everyone else out there that is having trouble with using their .Mac issued certificates is "When did yours get renewed?".
I'm suspecting at this point that somewhere around the end of June the certificates issued by Apple for iChat signing suddenly stopped having the "Purpose" of mail protection. It would also seem that they suddenly stopped having the purpose of .Mac Identity.
Now I'm curious why Apple would do this, make it actually relatively easy to create a cert that could be used for iChat and Mail encryption, then suddenly take it away. Is this actually what has happened here?
I'd be really interested in seeing what the renewal dates are and the corresponding "Purposes" are for many of the folks that are reporting trouble with this very issue.
If you are one of those people who had mail encryption working using your .mac certificate, and it suddenly stopped working...feel free to post your cert information here.

My Talk Talk web mail will not allow me access to my inbox since upgrading to vsn 4 Mozilla (says "You have unresolved e-mails"). Access ok through internet explorer.

Since upgrading to Mozilla vsn 4 I can no view e-mails on my Talk Talk webmail. I can access via Internet Explorer, but get a message "You have unresolved e-mails" and cannot access the inbox. I can log in but cannot go into my e-mails.
Please help. Talk Talk technical help say it is something on the Mozilla download. I have cleared history, caches and browsing cookies, so it's not that. I have also re-installed Mozilla vsn 4.

Apparently TalkTalk mail will work with Firefox 4 and Firefox 5 ''if'' you set the browser to ''lie'' to TalkTalk mail by saying that you are still using version 3.6.

Note: when you open about:config the first time, it will display a warning message that you should be careful with the changes you make. That's definitely good to bear in mind.

RSPC changes even when SCC4 changes not allowed

This is about accessing t-code RSPC; we want to be allowed to change Process Chains' configs. We used to have any troubles when changes in client were allowed, but after client was "closed" it started to fail. Below the details:
SCC4: Client is currently set as:
Changes and Transports for Client-Specific Objects -> No changes allowed
Cross-Client Object Changes -> No changes to Repository and cross-client Customizing objs
Protection: Client COpier and Comparison Tool -> Protection level 0: No restriction
CATT and eCATT Restrictions -> eCATT and CATT allowed
BW Workbench-Transport connection/Object changeability:
RSPC, Process Chain -> Changeable Original
RSPT, Process Chain Starter -> Changeable Original
RSPV, Process Variants -> Changeable Original

Hi Bernardo,
in Transport Connection > Object Changeability there is a third option " Everything Changeable" you have to select that option for RSPC related objects.
Right click on any object type you want to change and chose "Everything changeable"
this should solve your issue.

Mail will not allow me to save photo attachments in iPhoto

I am running 10.8.2. When I receive a photo attachment in Mail normally I would click on the Save tab and select Save to iPhoto - but the photo does not appear in iPhoto? Any ideas?

Bug. Report to Apple. IPhoto menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback
For now save the the desktop and import or open with quick look, expand to full page and save to iPhoto from there

Mavericks mail will not allow me to add a gmail account

Help!
I am using running OSX Mavericks, including the new version of Mail 7.0 (1822). I cannot add a GMail account. Going through Mail: Preferences: Accounts, I give the information, but then get told:
There was a problem setting up the account.
Unable to verify account name or password.
If I click ok (the only option), Mail quits, so I cannot use the Connection Doctor to see what else is happening.
All my other programs that access the internet work, and I can access google calendar, for example, via BusyCal.
There must be something simple happening.... By the way, Mavericks Mail works perfectly on my machine at work!
Suggestions?

I had the same issue...I called apple support and they gave me the following instructions. Seems to be working perfectly fine.
- Go to Apple Mail
- Hit on Preferences, go to Accounts and hit the "+" button
- Select "Add other mail account", and hit continue
- Enter your Full Name, email address, and password (DO NOT HIT CREATE)
- Push down the option key, and while holding down the option key hit "NEXT"
- It will route you to the Incoming Mail Server Info window, here you will type in the Mail Server as: imap.gmail.com. Again type in your user name (complete email) and password. And again, hold down the option key, and while holding down the option key hit "NEXT".
- Then it wil route you to the Outgoing Mail Server. Type in the Outgoing Mail Server as: smtp.gmail.com, and again your email and password.
-Hit Create
Once you see the email account on your Apple Mail sidebar, go to compose a new message and send yourself an email to the new email account from your new email account
This worked for me and synced all my folders. Hope it works for you as well.
