Mail customize toolbar in full screen

I can't customize my toolbar in full screen. If I click on 'view' the option to choose 'customize toolbar' isn't availalbe. That means, I can't add the address book to 'compose new message'.
Again, I only have this problem in full screen.
Appreciate any input.
Thanks!

  • How do i show my bookmark toolbar during full screen mode?

When entering full screen mode the bookmark toolbar disappears, then reappears when exiting full screen mode. I have tried to use the customize screen/menu and selecting the option for the bookmarks toolbar does nothing to show the toolbar during full screen use.
No, I don't want to use the sidebar while in full screen mode either which is why I have items in the bookmarks toolbar and not in the sidebar.
    thank you

For additional reference I am attaching screenshots of the folderpath, file, coding in the first image,
A shot of the full screen in action with the css file in place,
And a shot of the customize window showing that bookmarks toolbar is indeed selected but not visible during fullscreen,
The fourth shot is FF OUT of full screen mode back in the customize screen but it shows the bookmarks toolbar

Since loading Lion, I've experienced much more instability than Snow Leopard. In particular, Mail crashes with regularity, full-screen apps seem to run slower and show the beach ball more often for longer, etc. I love the features, but I'm disappointed with the performance. Any help coming from Apple?  I've been sending them so many reports after crashes, that their file must be full!

Summoning max. courage, I did what you advised. Here is the result. What does this tell you? My Lion 7.2 (mid 2011 iMac) has several annoying glitches (which I have so far tolerated through gritted teeth) but none that have actually stopped me working.
BTW, I see several items involving CleanMyMac which I did not know I had. It is generally villified as a trouble-maker. Spotlight can't find an app. or a utility of that name. How can I get rid of what's there please? Just delete?

  • What's happened to Hide Toolbar in Full Screen?

Before Mavericks I could hide the toolbar in full screen.
At present when I right click on the toolbar the option to hide toolbar is no longer there.
When I go to Menu then View the option Hide Toolbar is greyed out.
Is there another way to hide the toolbar in full screen?
Why are Apple driving people to other web browsers?

    Hide/Show Toolbar grayed out?
Perhaps a Safari extension causing this ...
From the Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab. Turn that OFF, quit and relaunch Safari to test.
If that helped, turn one extension on then quit and relaunch Safari to test until you find the incompatible extension then click uninstall.

  • Mail sending issues in full screen

    Hey All,
When mail is in full screen and you are composing a message, the message box doesn't disappear after you click the send button. The little paper airplane button turns off. When you click it again it turns back on. So on and so forth.
A colleauge told me that they recived my email like 10 times because I kept clicking the button.
As soon as I got out of full screen view the compose message box disappeared and the message was sent.
    Anyone else experiance this problem??

  • Mail attachment issues in full screen apps

This is an interesting issue.  So far it only occurs with MS Excel.  When Mail is open as a full screen app and I open an xlsx file attached to a mail message the screen shifts back over to the desktop screen as it should, but the Excel window remians locked with the Mail full screen app.  At this time, I cannot swipe back over to Mail, it just shifts back over to the desktop screen every time I try.  The only resolution that I have found so far is to quite Mail from my dock icon and relaunch.  This then moves the Excel window to my desktop screen.
I wonder if this is only an issue with programs that do not suppport full screen apps.
    Thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Marc

Have you tried toggling - Command, Control, F
If you do a 5 finger swipe up do you see Apple Mail as it's own desktop?  If so when you expand Apple Mail use the green traffic dot in the upper left side instead of the full screen double arrow on the upper right side.

  • How do you drag a file into Apple Mail when it's full-screen?

I love the full-screen mode for Apple Mail.  However, when I attach files to mail messages, I prefer to drag files to my message (since they often come from various finder windows I might have open).  However, in Mission Control or via swiping, I couldn't find a way to drag and drop a file in there.
I also tried dragging the file to the Mail icon on the dock, which spring-loaded the full-screen Mail app, but when I tried to drop it into the New Message window, it flashed but nothing happens.
Kinda annoying you can separate the New Message window into a separate mail window.  Often I like having my New Message window dragged to another desktop so I can type an email in the context of reviewing and image mockup, etc.
    Conrad

I guess for me, sometimes I start typing the email and then decide to attach something.  Or want to attach files from different folders to a single email.  Your tip unforunately doesn't work in those cases.  Maybe it's just me, but attaching files often is the last thing I do right before I send the mail.

  • OVCD: Disabling toolbar in full screen mode

I use OVCD from my macbook pro in fullscreen mode.
Every time I hover close to the bottom to switch Solaris windows this toolbar pops out.
Is there a way to completely disable the toolbar?

Figured this one out myself. Apparently if you move your cursor to the top of the screen in full screen mode the toolbar drops down. Then there's a little lock symbol you can click to make it stay down. Basically it works like the launch bar on the desktop.
    Thanks self!

  • Customize from portlet full-screen

I am calling a portlet in full-screen view ('STARS3.TEACHERS_CLASS_ROSTER.show'). I would like to give the user the option of customizing the parameters (row order, break etc.). What can I do to give them the option to 'cutomize' these options in full_screen mode.

    Hi,
You can call the customization form of the component like this 'STARS3.TEACHERS_CLASS_ROSTER.show_parms'. The user should have customize privilege on the component.
    Thanks,
    Sharmila

  • Toolbar disappearing - full screen mode

When in full screen mode can the toolbar at the top of the screen be set to not disappear? I'm a new Mac user and can't find an answer to this topic. The disappearing of the toolbar is driving me crazy! Thanks for any input!

I don't believe there's a way to make the toolbar stay visible in fullscreen mode. You can get it to pop out by putting your mouse at the top of the screen, as you probably know.
You application windows can fill the whole screen except the menu bar when not in full screen, so there's not really any benefit to full screen with menu bar, except that you couldn't have multiple windows on one screen hiding each other.

  • Comment and Markup Toolbar in Full Screen Mode

I am not able to open comment and markup toolbar when I am reading a PDF in full screen mode. Can anybody help me in resolving this issue?
I want that toolbar should be visible. I do not want to use keyboard shortcut.
It works fine when the PDF is in normal mode(Not in full screen mode).
    Please help.

  • Mail - can't reply in full screen mode

    Hi there
I've been enjoying running Mail in Lion in full screen mode. However if I try to reply to a message, I don't get the reply window come up. It fails whether I use the keyboard shortcut, click on the icon or use the menu command.
I have to leave full screen mode to get a reply message window.
    Any clues on this?

I found this solution online today it worked for me I hope it solves your problem if you haven't already solved it.
This solved my question by BRegan6 on Oct 29, 2014 2:26 PM
I've just gotten off the phone with Apple Support who solved this problem.  Open mail.  Go to Mail Preferences/Viewing and Check box "Use classic view".  Then open a new mail viewer window (File/New Viewer Window).  At this point, assuming you have the same problem that I did where you can only see the window showing emails, but not the email preview window, move your cursor so it hovers right at the bottom edge of the window.  The cursor will change to a horizontal bar and an up arrow.  Click and drag up a few inches.  At this point you should now be able to see the email preview window.  Now go back to Mail preferences and uncheck classic view.  The window now stays open in non-classic view.  Hope this works for you too.

  • How to dismiss Mail Full Screen when composing a new message

OK, so in iOS you can simply pull down the message you are composing to access your inbox, but how can you do this in Yosemite when using full screen?
Here is the scenario: I open Mail in Full Screen mode and start composing a message. I middle of it I realize that I need some info from another mail, but I cannot minimize the new message that I am composing or exit full screen mode. My only option is to the cancel the message I am composing and save it as a draft. Surely there has to be something that I am missing? And don't tell me not to use full-screen mode...
    Screenshot attached?

The work around is to open a New Viewer Window.
If you want to create a new window in Full Screen, expose the Dock while in Full Screen and select New Viewer Window, then navigate to the email that you need information from. You can then swipe between the the two as you require
If you don't want the new instance of Mail to be in full screen, first swipe to another desktop and then open a New Viewer Window
