Mail shows no HTML or Pictures

Hi All,
i´ve some trouble with my mail. Some e-Mails came in within special fonts and within links and graphics, pictures, etc. But on my iMac (OS X 10.8.3) the Mail appears with standard fonts and without any graphical stlye or pictures. Same mail on the MacBook Pro (OS X 10.8.3) appears formatted within pictures, correct fonts and style. (See attached screenshot on my dropbox). Lefthand side is my view, righthand side the view on the MBP. So what kind of solution will be the best? What can I do here?

I have the same kind of problem... since I went back to using Mail, when my Entourage (mail) crashed, I dont think I had this problem with Entourage ?

On my iMac, Mail 5 shows not one mail formatted as html, on my MBP and MBA no problem.
All systems are fresh installations.
Did I change accidentially some display settings in Mail 5.1?
I was searching through all possible settings and could not find something relevant...
I really would appreciate any help.

E-Mail Notification shows up HTML tag in the body

Hi all,
We successfully implemented the email notification. we have the standalone version of 2.6. We are now seeing the notification mails delivered to our mail boxes.
We need some assistance, in setting the type of notification. We have set the Global preference for all the users as "Plain text mail with HTML attachments" and we have set the preference at user also like "MAILATTH". But the body of the notification mail has HTML tags along with the contents, we do have the attachment, when we open it , it works fine.
our problem is , how to see the mails without those HTML tags, in the inbox.

There was a newline character in Subject field.
Removing that fixed the issue.

Try Option + click the picture and choose Show as Icon

Emails sent with Mail show as double for Windows users

I just restored my computer, and trying to go back to Mail instead of the bloated Outlook. However, I am having the same problem as before:
every time i send an email, the recipient always sees a single message with double the content. This means he receives 1 email, but the content (body of email) appears twice.
It looks like the email shows the HTML version first, and then you scroll down and see the PlainText version at bottom. This ONLY happens on my emails being sent to Windows users.
While it might not be bad for a single message or two, when we have long email chains it results in really really long email chains getting doubled and doubled. Its ridiculous.
Can anyone suggest a solution to this so that I can go back to using speedy Mail?

wow...well...ummm....sometimes people need more then plain text for business emails?
while that is a "solution" its not a viable option.

if contentType is "multipart/related".. I can get some image.their type is com.sun.mail.util.BASE64DecoderStream.
now, I don't know how deal with these DocoderStream for "src" can find them.

iCloud.com requires Safari 6 or later, Firefox 22 or later, or Google Chrome 28 or later. Have you tried all of those?
If you have, have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies?
For the first tine since 1989 I'm thinking about buying a PC.
You'd have exactly the same problems on an 8 year old PC too. It's a bit unreasonable to expect such an old Mac to continue to be compatible as software is constantly updated.
Saying that, I'm still able to access iCloud.com successfully in Safari v5.0.6 on a PowerPC Mac running Mac OS X 10.5.8, so the problem you're having is likely to be a browser issue, not something inherently wrong with the computer.
Since all this crap started, Mail won't download my Mac.com or me.com email.
The iCloud.com website is totally unconnected to Mail's ability to download email via IMAP. Have you checked the mail server settings are correctly setup and up-to-date?

I have a new iPhone 6 plus and all is OK. But the mail shows more than 400 'unread' messages whereas there are none in the mailbox or trash or anywhere else I have looked. I can send and receive with no problem. I'm sure I have no unread messages.

It sounds like your iPhoto Advanced preferences are set to not copy photos during import, i.e. a Referenced library:
Check your Advanced preferences to see if that's the case. If it is the best solution would be to select the checkbox to copy the photos and reimport the photos from the flash drive. Then check the new import. It it was OK you can delete the previous event with the "missing" photos.

In updating my iPod to 6.1.2, I received an error during the update. Now, ipod is not rebooting. Has screen showing usb to Itunes picture.   Turning off and back on it goes back to this picture. I don't know how to reset so that I can restore my backup

A similar thing happened when I updated the ios on my ipad. But, I was able to reboot, and then restore from backup.   How can I get my ipod to reboot and allow restore when it is not even recognized as I reconnect to my computer?

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

You have the display set in Extended Desktop mode. In System Preferences>Display on the MacBook screen there should be an Arrangement tab when you have the MacBook hooked up to the TV and both screens working. When you click the Arrangement tab do you see two monitors side by side? One of them will have a Menu Bar at the top. Just click on the Menu Bar and drag it to the second monitor. That will make the second monitor your main screen. You can now use your MacBook in Clamshell Mode with a wired or Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3131 When you disconnect from the TV your Menu Bar will automatically change back to the MacBook.
Or if you want to work on the MacBook screen while showing it on a TV you can check the Mirror Display box on the lower left hand side of the Arrangement tab under the two monitors box.

Add extra empty toolbars if you want to see more of the persona.<br />
You can create extra toolbars to get extra space via View > Toolbars > Customize<br />
You have to put something on a toolbar (drag a Space item onto it) before closing the Customize window because empty toolbars are automatically removed.<br />

10.9.2 Mail - Shows 5 flagged messages; clicked - no messages in the list

My upgrade from OS X Lion 10.7.5 to OS X Mavericks 10.9.2 was fairly straightforward. No major issues.
However, Mail shows 5 flagged messages. When clicking on Flagged indicator, there are no message in the list. Strange. Everything else appears to work as expected.

Is an external display connected and turned off? If not, open Mission Control. Do you see the window(s) in any other spaces?
