Mail step not working with expression

Hi Experts,
I am using the business object bus2080 for Tcode iw21, to trigger workflow on notification status change. I have mail step in my workflow, mail is being sent successfully when it has only text, but when i am using the expressions, say notification number in that mail, no mail is being send, getting error "Error handling for work item 000000660111".
Please let me know your valuable comments on this issue.
Thanks
Ishtiyaq

Hi Rob,
The worflow container I am using is of the type BUS2080. Binding in the start event is as below
Event -> Workflow
&_EVT_OBJECT&     &ZBUS2080&
and in the Mail Step
Workflow-> Mail Step
&ZBUS2080&     &ZBUS2080&
Also in the mail subject and body  I am adding the expression using button 'Insert Expressions'.
thanks,
Ishtiyaq

Unpower and restart it.  If that doesn't help, try holding menu and left navigation keys TOGETHER for 6 secs.

  • Maverick's Mail does not work with Gmail ! it works better with iOS 7

    For info.
I do know how it's complex to program and more for an OS System.
Maverick's Mail DOES NOT work proprely with Gmail boxes ? Gmail incoming or outcoming messages are correctly notified on my iPhone 5s with iOS 7. But not on my Macbook Pro retina (end 2012) with Mavericks. One update was suppose to solve the trouble.
Hope you'll solve the problem as soon as possible. Bur not during the nights. But during your daytimes' work !
Wish you nice end of year's days.
And please get my best wishes for 2014. Hope you'll get a lot of these nice little moments of happiness.
    Best regards.

Have you checked your incoming and outgoing mail server settings?
If you are using IMAP, it should look something like the following:
Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server - Requires SSL
    imap.gmail.com
    Port: 993
    Requires SSL:Yes
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - Requires TLS
    smtp.gmail.com
    Port: 465 or 587
    Requires SSL: Yes
    Requires authentication: Yes
Use same settings as incoming mail server
If you are using POP3, it should look something like the following:
    Incoming mail server type: POP3
Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server: pop.gmail.com. Google Apps users, enter the server name provided, don't add your domain name in these steps.
              Port: 995
Outgoing e-mail server (SMTP) name: smtp.gmail.com
         Port: 465
    Outgoing server requires authentication: enabled

  • Default Mail app not working with yahoo mail. Won't update.

Default Maill app not working with Yahoo Mail.
It stopped working the other day. I tried everything but it wouldn't update new mail. The yahoo account itself is fine because I can see new mail on Yahoo or a yahoo app.
I tried deleting the account and putting it back on, but now it has 0 mail in any part of it. Nothing has synced.
    What do I do?
    iPad 2 latest OS.

A lot of people have been unable to access Yahoo e-mail on their iPhones or iPads. My wife’s iPad was not downloading Yahoo mail, although her iPhone was. Both used IOS 8.2. We tried deleting the account several times and troubleshooting all of the other settings. The problem appears to have been that allowing the IOS to automatically create the account on the iPad resulted in the wrong settings for the incoming server. The following procedure, pieced together from two websites, fixed the problem for us. So far, so good.
    https://portal.smartertools.com/kb/a2659/configure-imap-for-iphone-or-ipad.aspx
    https://help.yahoo.com/kb/mobile-mail/imap-server-settings-sln4075.html
    On the iPhone, tap Settings.
    Tap Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
Tap your Yahoo account, then delete it.
    Tap Add Account.
    Tap Other.
    Tap Add Mail Account.
Complete the Name, Address (email address), Password and Description fields.
    Click Next.
    Ensure IMAP is selected.
Enter the following incoming mail server information:
Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server - Requires SSL
    Server: imap.mail.yahoo.com
    Port: 993
    Requires SSL: Yes
    Hostname is mail.yahoo.com.
Username is your full email address
Password is the same password used to access webmail.
Enter the following outgoing mail server information:
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - Requires SSL
    Server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
    Port: 465 or 587
    Requires SSL: Yes
    Requires authentication: Yes
Username is your full email address
Password is the same password used to access webmail. It may have been entered for you.
    Tap Next.
The iPhone will establish an SSL connection to your IMAP and SMTP servers.
    That’s all!

  • "Push" E-Mail still not working with iPhone!

I'm not sure what the problem is here with Yahoo and Apple but to this day I still encounter very big issues with push E-Mail regarding Yahoo and Apple...it just doesn't work! I now have a new iPhone (2G, 16GB) because I dropped my old one and the screen cracked (cement ouch). Anyways I got my new phone last week (via eBay) and once again push mail is not working. I either have to manually check or mail comes in when it feels like it...in some cases HOURS later! Or if my phone is locked/asleep the mail doesn't come into my phone until I pick up my phone and start using it. Yesterday I went to go use my phone, I slid the slider to unlock it to bring me to my home screen, the mail icon showed no mail. The next thing I know all this mail starts pouring into my phone (22 messages to be exact)! I was like geeze...this is so messed up!

Push email continues to not function properly for me as well. The only time it ever works is if I'm actively on the phone after its been sleeping for a while, or when it polls for my other email accounts (in which case I get my "push" email at the same intervals as my regular email, making push worthless).
None of the other functions of the iPhone does this. When I receive a call or SMS text message, my phone notifies me immediately. What is the purpose of having "push" email that notifies me when I received new mail if I have to still manually check my device? This has been one of the iPhone 3G's weaknesses since launch and STILL has yet to be fixed.
Running iPhone 2.2. Software 2.2.1 did not address any changes with Mail.

  • I have a yahoo mail account address - Mail will not work with that?

I tried to mail an email using my Yahoo mail account address. Mail sent it back to me saying that Yahoo rejected it.
Do I just keep using mailing from Yahoo instead of Mail to keep things working?
When I click on an e-mail address Mail does come up as my default mail program. How can I change that back to Yahoo using Safari? I've asked that question of Yahoo, but they just tell me to use Firefox, which I do not want to do. I like Safari and will simply fight the Mail program back if I have to. There must be a way to get it under control though - I hope.
I do use Mail to back up notes from my iPhone. It does work for that just fine.
    TIA,
    Ken

"Second Step: Launch Mail/Preferences/General/Default email reader and choose Google Notifier.app from the list. Now the mailto links will also bring up a blank email, ready for you to fill out and send by using your Gmail account. "
Here is Mail getting in the way again. I appreciate your information, I downloaded Notifier and got to the point of above, needing to go to preferences in Mail. Mail will not let me go to preferences unless I give Mail an e-maill account to service. I do not want Mail to service an account. Mail is a nasty obtrusive program that wants to be in the driver's seat of my computer system. If I give Mail my gmail account set up again, using that italian program that also is a hack to my system, I will need to do that just to access Mail preferences so I can tell Mail that it is okay to use Gmail?
Something is fishy in Denmark to be sure.
I'm going to delete Notifier.app until I am able to see what gives with Mail.
Thanks, I thought that was going to be the answer. Mail has stopped me in my tracks again.
    OOoommmm..... (counting to 10)
    Ken
Later post, I think this post has also taken it that I want to use Mail, Read my many statements, over a dozen by now, that I do not want to use Mail. I want to compose my outgoing mail in GMail. I want GMail to be my default mail program. I wan Apple Mail to Die! (at this point, that seems impossible to accomplish.)
It's simple, but I will repeat and repeat. I simply want to be able to click on a link, like a link in Craigslist to respond to an ad, and have the GMail compose e-mail come up ready to respond to the Craigslist ad.
    Ken
EVen more frustration now, I tried the notifier icon in the menu bar and selected compose mail and it tried to open up Apple Mail. How can I get rid of Apple Mail and let my system know that I want the GMail account to come up to compose my email in GMail (what I was trying to do with Yahoo until I got nowhere with Yahoo, now I'm trying to see if I can get GMail to work as my default mail program.

You have now (unnecessarily) damaged your system to the point where a reinstallation is necessary. Back up all data first, then boot from your installation disc and reinstall. After rebooting, run Software Update. Then start a new discussion to address your problems with Mail, which will not be solved by downgrading or reinstalling system components.

  • Mail does not work with ONLY ONE e-mail address

I am using mail with 6 different e-mail addresses all using godaddy as my mail server. Some(4) are imap, some(2) are pop3.
All of my e-mails work great except for 1 (which is imap). My iPhone and iPad as well as entourage all work for this e-mail address. It is only Mail that does nto work all the time.
This is the frustrating part. It works some times, and not others. No rhyme or reason to it. When it is not working, the only way to make it work right away is to delete the account and re-install the account. Some times, it will just start working on it's own. The worst part, is whenever I bring it in to a genius to look at it, it starts working, and of course, they say nothing is wrong.
Any thoughts on how to fix this???

Okay, it works the same way for me. I'm not sure whether "open all" will come back in that case, where there's only one bookmark. Does it slow down your workflow a lot to middle-click on the bookmark itself instead of on the folder?
Requests for feature changes get a bit lost here in the support forum. You can submit suggestions in one or more of the following ways:
    (1) Feedback site: https://input.mozilla.org/feedback
    (2) Developer mailing lists (sometimes hard to figure out which one is best): https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo
    (3) Bug tracking system (yours would be a request for enhancement): https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/ and https://developer.mozilla.org/docs/Mozilla/QA/Bug_writing_guidelines
With all the bookmark-related extensions out there, it's possible someone has posted one that adds this feature back, but I haven't searched.

  • Email step not working with container expression

    Hi All,
I have a method in my workflow which retrieves text from a database table and stores it in a wokflow container.
I have set the container as a multiline element. this container is then used as an expression in an email step, the email is then sent and should show the text retrived from the database.
the problem i am facing is that, only 80 characters are shown and the rest is cut off. the database field accepts upto 256 characters. In workflow log when i check the container, the container shows all 256 characters.
does anyone have any idea why when i am trying to email it only shows 80.
    many thanks
    Forhad

    Hi,
please note that the maximal length of an attribute displayed is limited to 80 . so if your attribute is longer
    it will be cut .
    Solution :
Create a table conatiner element of length CHAR50 & Populate the entire content of the mail template in it and when we try to insert the multiline conatiner element in a mail then it will prompt us 3 options, do you want to print only the first line , or do you want to print the entire content of the table continuously or you want to put the content line by line,
select the option put the content continuously.
    This should do the job.
    Regards,
    Raj

  • IOS 8.1.1 iPhone mail app not working with Yahoo

Since upgrading my iPhone 4S to iOS 8.1.1 I have been unable to access my (UK) Yahoo mail account. Following advice from other posters I have tried deleting the account, doing a hard reset and then adding the account again. Also tried different settings for Push and Fetch but all to no avail. I have an iPad2 that I have also upgraded to 8.1.1 and I can access my mail ok on this although I have noticed that one of my mail folders is showing empty despite it containing many emails when I access it directly via Yahoo mail on my Windows laptop. To get round the problem on my phone I have resorted to downloading the Yahoo! Mail app and this works 100% ok. Can anyone please throw some light on this? Thanks

    Hi, Big Alma.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I would need more information regarding what issue you are exactly experiencing with Yahoo and your iOS device to provide a better answer.  However, here is an article I would recommend going through when experiencing issues with mail.  I would also recommend checking with your email provider for security procedures such as two-step verification as this could cause this issue.

  • Mail App Not Working with Self-Signed Certificates

First and foremost, I apologise for starting another thread that is 90% similar to others but I wanted to avoid falling into an existing context.  Like may others, I am having issues with the Mail App in Mavericks but I have an email account other than G-Mail.
That being said, here is the issue I am having.  Until recently I never had an issue sending and receiving email from various accounted.  My Internet provider, an Exchange account, even a G-Mail account.
Yesterday, my Web hosting provider issued a new (self-signed) certificate as the old one had expired (which was also a self-signed certificate).  While I am able to still receive messages, I am no longer able to send any.
I have tried numberous possible solutions to no avail.  I have removed and readded my email account, I have refreshed my SMTP settings, I have removed all semblence of the account from my Key Chain, added the Certificate manually with full trust, and I have even flushed the caches from my ~/Library/ folder.  The last one perked up the Mail App but did not restore my ability to send messages from my Web provider's SMTP server.
I suspect this is a bug in the Mail App but I'm hoping I can find a few last solutions before I file a bug report.
In the meantime, I am using another outgoing server from my Internet provider.  It will do but for consistency I'd much rather use the outgoing server that came with the email account in question.
I am all but convinced it is the Mail App as Thunderbird is able to use the SMTP server just fine and I am still able to send messages using the exact same settings on my iPhone and iPad.
In case it helps, I am using a Early 2011 MacBook Pro with the latest Mavericks update (which ironically was meant to solve some issues other users had with the Mail App).
On a related note, I wish I had stayed on Snow Leopard.  I did not have a single issue with that OS.  Now I feel like I am working on Windows Vista again and I am waiting for the Apple version of Windows 7 to set things right.

There is no Apple in this user to user technical forum, if you want an Apple employee you would need to take your phone to the Apple store.
What happens when you switch to using cellular data?  Does your email update?
FYI - Yahoo email account is notoriously bad, you can try their app.

  • Mail does not work with gmail accounts anymore

Since yesterday or so, my google mail accounts don't connect anymore. All of them. All other accounts are still working.
    - Connection doctor tells me the standard "couldn't connect, check if its really port 993 blah" thing.
    - I'm on 10.9.5
    - I tried remove one of the accounts under Internet Accounts and "re install" it, which worked partially: Internet Accounts accepted the google password, and added the account. I ticket Emails. It reappeared in Mail, but still with connection issues (and now no emails what-so-ever associated with that account).
    What can I do next?

Have you checked your incoming and outgoing mail server settings?
If you are using IMAP, it should look something like the following:
Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server - Requires SSL
    imap.gmail.com
    Port: 993
    Requires SSL:Yes
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - Requires TLS
    smtp.gmail.com
    Port: 465 or 587
    Requires SSL: Yes
    Requires authentication: Yes
Use same settings as incoming mail server
If you are using POP3, it should look something like the following:
    Incoming mail server type: POP3
Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server: pop.gmail.com. Google Apps users, enter the server name provided, don't add your domain name in these steps.
