Mailing Error records in file-to-file Sp14

Hi All,
Can anyone suggest me how to send error records to the concerned person when I'm doing File-to-File scenario.
According my understanding I should configure SMTP adapter.but if anyone confirms this and suggest any process would be a great help for me.
Regards,
Venu

Hi Venu,
        Great to know that my answers helped you.
well what i may suggest that this was one of the many solutions but not the only one, if you go through sdn you will see other approaches as using a DOM structure
/people/swaroopa.vishwanath/blog/2005/06/29/generic-approach-for-validating-incoming-flat-file-in-sap-xi--part-ii (part 1 and part 2).This i am sending not to confuse you with many validation approaches but to help you understsnad that it can be done in many ways.
what i would request you to do is:
1. Generally files are validated from 3rd party systems like banking servers , legacy etc. So if your client asks you to validate the incoming file and if the existing landscape does not do any data validation and there is no standard data validation tools within the system lanscape, then one should go for these validations.
2.Upto a certain level you can generlise these validations after that you need to take it as a case to case basis, as how can you generise you source and target.
3.I strongly suggest you to consult your Team members/Architects if this is really required to be validated in SAP XI.
NOW BOTH YOUR QUESTIONS,
<i>Issue for 1.
They have mentioned in a document by using Java Mapping program we can segrigate Valid and Invalid messages, here do we need to write any Function modules ?
</i>
look here the author wants to say that he picks up the file as Record
          |
        Row
so that he picks all files and none is rejected in content conversion because of bad structure.The file after being processed as record-row goes to the module chain of file adapter and the EJB is called(page 8), after being validated it is passed or rejected.So
we need a java module to be written which will do this validations, but ejb was not within the scope of that document. No Its a ejb module and not a Function module.
<i>Issue for 2.
How to handle this bcz if we get an error while processing the records(Idocs) at sap side do we need to handle in XI as a different scenario or direct from ABAP end we send a mail to legacy people</i>
No, i think abap can and should handle this, as they are sending the data, so if an idoc is coming in sap xi it should be validated and send.So you need to take a call on this and discuss with abap consultants, if a validations is needed for the objects send by them.
This is what happened in my last implementaion wherein data from R3 was handled by abap.
Hope i have helped you again and have a great day!
Regards,
Anirban.

    Hi,
    I'm using qm 8.5.2 (endpoint recording) most of customer PCs cannot play recording file in application.
    When I launch application and try to play recoding file, it is stuck and show error message "PYLR2000 error playing a file. Try again or contact your Monitoring and Recording administrator." I've install all cilent requirements (validate pc is pass). The error still occur. Even though all requirements are complete .
    So, How to fix this problem.
    Thank in advance
    Namkhao

    Hi bsetexast,
    I'm fix this problem by using Java(TM) version 6.0.200.2 that can be download from UCCX when first run CSD (supervisor desktop). Even other higher java version is valid but this problem still occur. If you install higher version, you should uninstall it first and install this version as well.
    If you cannot find them, I will send you via email.

  • Display errors in a file along with records - IBIP_BATCH_INPUT doesnt do it

    Hi,
    I am using the function module IBIP_BATCH_INPUT(used in program RIIBIP00) in my custom program to upload maintenance plan data(Transaction IP01) using call transaction method.The data gets successfully uploaded.
    However if i send incorrect data, an ALV report gets printed by the above function module that displays the error.
    My requirement is to generate a file that displays each record and the corresponding error along with it.
    Pls note that the error file obtained(Call transaction) has only the error records but not the errors displayed.
    The function moduke returns a internal table of errors as displayed in ALV but how can I relate those errors with the the records in my file?

    Hi Rob,
    The transaction IBIP does the same as the program RIIBIP00.
    My requirement is to customize it.
    The legacy system file I obtain is not in the file format IBIPREC(refered documnetation of RIBIP00).
    I convert it into a the required file format and use the file in the program or transaction IBIP manually and data gets loaded into the system.
    If the file contains errorneos data, then the errors are displayed in a ALV report by the program RIIBIP00 and a a file is generated showing the erroneus record.My requiremnet is to have a audit file of the legacy system format plus a column showing errors.
    How can I map the errors obtained from the fn module IBIP_BATCH_INPUT in program RIIBIP00 with the each record and produce an audit file?

  • Errors in flat file records? how can i handle them?

    Hi All,
    I am new for BDC. I am uploading customer(XD01) records using BDC caltransaction method.my problem is when i am running the program, some times my program is not updating the records because of my flat file errors. after i correcting the error records and if i run the same program already updated records not processing. my program not running. what i need to do? how can i handle the flat file for reprocessing the error records?
    i have around 50,000 records in my flat file.

    your program accepts a flat file say the structure of it is structure_load and you create another structure similar to structure_load and name it structure_error.
    loop at itab_load.
    call transactions...
    if success..
    commit work and wait X sec.
    else.
    move-corresponding field to structure_error
    append structure_error.
    endif.
    endloop.
    write the file stru_error to PC or app server and make the changes  to the data and use the str_error as input to your code again..

  • Tracking only Error records from Batch file in BPEL process

    Hi,
    I am reading file of 1000 records from file adaptor and debatching into two instance of each 500 records. And using invoke insert operation writing into database.
    The first batch of 500 records processed successfully and written into database custom table.
    The second set of 500 records created warning instance with some error message and nothing is written to database from second set.
    The error is due to some wrong data in one row of second set of 500 records. Due to that single row error, the remaining 499 got rejected and nothing from second set is inserted into database.
    Do we have control on that only one record of second set(500records) and BPEL process should write remaining 499 records to database.
    Please help me on this issue. It would be great help. Thanks inadvance.
    Waiting for your replies.
    Thank you.

    <ns0:eno>Veer|name|Test
    Veer|name|Test
    Veer|name|Test
    10
    </ns0:eno>
    <ns0:ename>file</ns0:ename>
    <ns0:sal>10000</ns0:sal>
    <ns0:dept>12</ns0:dept>
    Nothing has written into rejectedMessageHandlers folder set at bpel.xml.
    Can you please help me on this issue. Thank you very much.

  • Error Records-File-To-Idoc

    Hi all,
    In processing of File-To-Idocs, if we get any error in particular record by the follwoing situations how XI will handle,
    1) Wrong value in record.
    2) Due to strcuture change happend to the particular record
    3) value range is different than expected
    Is the total process stops or the correct record posts and error records will not post in the system.
    Regards,
    venu

    Hi Sravya,
    What my main concern is If I'm using Message Mapping tool for mapping (value mapping/structure mapping)
    Some records are might processed correctly and relavent Idocs are created some are not went fine not created any idocs In this case what happence?(Assuming each record will be an Idoc)
    What I have a plan is error messages anyhow will be shown in RWB, I'll search for relavent table and send those messages to relavent person.
    There might be another ways, but I'm using XI just now, I don't know how to use the Java code which u suggested to read.means where exactly i should insert this code to work on file and generates XML message and will be inout to target.
    Expecting an easy solution for me.
    Regards,
    venu.

  • [SOLVED] Pacman error: failed retrieving file : No address record

    I just installed Arch on a x86 laptop using the cd as the package source. I wanted to do a net install, but when I attempted to (regardless of the mirror) I got many responses from pacman in tty7 of "No address record". This happened despite having a network connection and being able to ping any site from the cli.
    After installing, I am still having the same problem. The laptop is plugged in via ethernet, and I can ping any site I want, but a call to pacman -Syyu just returns numerous errors such as
    error: failed retrieving file 'core.db' from mirror.rit.edu : No address record
    And just as a test, I was getting replies when pinging mirror.rit.edu.

    Try the following steps:
    1 - Set the VirtualBox Networking option to NAT
    2 -  Start the arch machine in the VirtualBox
    3 -  Edit /etc/rc.conf as a dynamic IP:
    HOSTNAME="arch"
    interface=eth0
    address=
    netmask=
    broadcast=
    gateway=
    4 - Run dhcpcd
    5 -  Try to ping a couple of sites, or your router
    If you still can't ping or anything, I suggest you start a new thread specifically about your problem. Include the output from "ipconfig -a". You're not going to get much help from posting in a thread marked "[SOLVED]".

  • Cannot sync pacman; error: failed retrieving file, No address record

    Hello,
    As a heads up, I'm trying not to repost
    I've searched the forums but found nothing, I'll keep looking. I've read the front page news about the mirrorlist and tried using the old mirrorlist file. I've been on #archlinux on IRC. Nothing yet.
    Here is an example of what I see:
    root@dungeon pacman.d # pacman -Sy
    :: Synchronizing package databases...
    error: failed retrieving file 'core.db.tar.gz' from ftp.archlinux.org : No address record
    error: failed to update core (No address record)
    error: failed retrieving file 'extra.db.tar.gz' from ftp.archlinux.org : No address record
    error: failed to update extra (No address record)
    error: failed retrieving file 'community.db.tar.gz' from ftp.archlinux.org : No address record
    error: failed to update community (No address record)
    error: failed to synchronize any databases
    I've commented out all but one of the servers in the mirrorlost file to shorten the output.
    Any ideas?

  • Error Handling in File Adapter

    I have been working on a requirement where the file adapter picks up the file and gives to the BPEL for processing the data.
    So, in order to do Error Handling for file adapter, i have been reading the Oracle documentation for technology adapters. In that, some of the
    points which i felt valuable for my error handling when using file adapter are the uniqueMessageSeparator property, fault-policies for rejected messages,
    and one of the action for rejected messages could be writing the payload to a file or invoking any other webservice.
    In my composite, i have configured the file adapter as a service for reading files, and i defined the xsd using the native format builder....If i put some data like 'aaaa' in the attribute of type integer , the .csv file is being picked up and its being passed to the BPEL without any error ? I believe there should be a translation error...right...
    But i am not getting the error, please tell me if anything is wrong in my xsd....
    Here is my xsd...
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    xmlns:nxsd="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/nxsd"
    xmlns:tns="http://TargetNamespace.com/InboundService"
    targetNamespace="http://TargetNamespace.com/InboundService"
    elementFormDefault="qualified"
    attributeFormDefault="unqualified"
    nxsd:version="NXSD"
    nxsd:stream="chars"
    nxsd:encoding="US-ASCII"
    nxsd:hasHeader="true"
    nxsd:headerLines="1"
    nxsd:headerLinesTerminatedBy="${eol}"
    >
    <xsd:element name="names">
    <xsd:complexType>
    <xsd:sequence>
    <xsd:element name="name" minOccurs="1" maxOccurs="unbounded">
    <xsd:complexType>
    <xsd:sequence>
    <xsd:element name="FirstName" type="xsd:string" nxsd:style="terminated" nxsd:terminatedBy="," />
    <xsd:element name="LastName" type="xsd:string" nxsd:style="terminated" nxsd:terminatedBy="," />
    <xsd:element name="Number" type="xsd:integer" nxsd:style="terminated" nxsd:terminatedBy="${eol}" />
    </xsd:sequence>
    </xsd:complexType>
    </xsd:element>
    </xsd:sequence>
    </xsd:complexType>
    </xsd:element>
    </xsd:schema>
    And for DB Adapter, there is a property called SchemaValidation, i think that is not there for File adapter, by default it will take care of validation i guess....In another composite, my file adapter is picking up the .xml file and if i put any wrong data over there, that is working fine, i am getting the translation error, but only here in the case of csv file, i am not getting the error. Experts, please help me in this regard...I am using SOA 11G
    Thanks,
    Naresh

    Hi Yatan,
    Thanks for the reply. I did the same way, where my composite is picking up an XML file and translation error is coming. Even the fault policies are working fine, like writing to a file and even invoking other web service. Its really good that you have achieved the same thing in csv files. But the same thing i am unable to achieve when my file adapter is picking up the csv file. I really cant understand where i am doing wrong.
    here is my XSD which i defined through my native builder format...
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
    <xsd:schema xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    xmlns:nxsd="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/nxsd"
    xmlns:tns="http://TargetNamespace.com/FileRecv"
    targetNamespace="http://TargetNamespace.com/FileRecv"
    elementFormDefault="qualified"
    attributeFormDefault="unqualified"
    nxsd:version="NXSD"
    nxsd:stream="chars"
    nxsd:encoding="US-ASCII"
    nxsd:hasHeader="true"
    nxsd:headerLines="1"
    nxsd:headerLinesTerminatedBy="${eol}"
    >
    <xsd:element name="Roots">
    <xsd:complexType>
    <xsd:sequence>
    <xsd:element name="FirstName" type="xsd:string" nxsd:style="terminated" nxsd:terminatedBy="," nxsd:quotedBy="&quot;" />
    <xsd:element name="LastName" type="xsd:string" nxsd:style="terminated" nxsd:terminatedBy="," nxsd:quotedBy="&quot;" />
    <xsd:element name="Number" type="xsd:integer" nxsd:style="terminated" nxsd:terminatedBy="${eol}" nxsd:quotedBy="&quot;" />
    </xsd:sequence>
    </xsd:complexType>
    </xsd:element>
    </xsd:schema>
    the jca file ..
    <adapter-config name="FileRecv" adapter="File Adapter" wsdlLocation="FileRecv.wsdl" xmlns="http://platform.integration.oracle/blocks/adapter/fw/metadata">
    <connection-factory location="eis/FileAdapter" UIincludeWildcard="n*.csv"/>
    <endpoint-activation portType="Read_ptt" operation="Read">
    <activation-spec className="oracle.tip.adapter.file.inbound.FileActivationSpec">
    <property name="DeleteFile" value="true"/>
    <property name="MinimumAge" value="0"/>
    <property name="PhysicalDirectory" value="C:\files"/>
    <property name="Recursive" value="false"/>
    <property name="PollingFrequency" value="5"/>
    <property name="IncludeFiles" value="n.*\.csv"/>
    <property name="UseHeaders" value="false"/>
    </activation-spec>
    </endpoint-activation>
    </adapter-config>
    I told that the file will contain only 1 record while defining xsd and i kept a record whose values are John , Peter and akjdkjdskj.
    Now if the data is like above, the file is still getting picked up without any translation error and the BPEL is getting completed successfully...
    Is it possible for you to send your sample project and the csv file from which you have defined the xsd to me if you dont mind ?
    Thanks,
    Naresh

  • Error parsing PLV file

    I get an error message attempting to use the 'Plan Visualizer'. I posted a question on this subject already and got the feedback from one of SAP's own HANA gurus that it probably is due to a bug ( Error parsing PLV file  ).
    Since I have not seen anybody else raising the same issue and there are others (my assumption) using the same set-up as I am (HANA SP8 on BW740 SP8) I suppose that it is very possible that it is not a real bug (since IF it indeed is a bug, others must have had the same problem).
    Is there anyway to get a confirmation if this is a bug (requiring a fix by e.g. OSS) or a problem specific to my installation/set-up/configuration that I might be able to fix (myself or with help).
    As you can imagine I am keen on solving this since it is quite a handicap to not be able to analyze the performance in the system.
    Thanks.

    For older versions of JRockit, you had to use exactly the same version of JRockit when you created the recording as when you opened it.
    With more recent versions (R26.0 and later iirc) it is sufficient if the JRA reader version is >= the version of JRockit producing the recording. Or in other words, make sure you are running the latest version of JRockit on your developer workstation.
