Major Problem, I coudn't fidn anything like it on the board but maybe I overlooked someth

Okay so I'll admit that I'm pretty tough on my electronics. I bought a Zen Micro roughly August st. It took my beating well untill one day, about 2 weeks ago, it was in my lap and I stood up. It was less than a 3 foot fall. The battery must have come out. When I put it back in it did the whole start up thing only when it got to the second part, the big creative logo it stoped. Befor the animation of the drop. If I plug it in like that nothing happens. If I let the battery drain(which happens much faster now) and then plug it in it will make the windows xp bleep that happens when a new device is recognized only it dosnt show up in My Computer and if I open the micro media explorer it either dosnt open or it tells me it isnt plugged in. All the while it is charging but the creative logo is gone and only a blank screen shows with the battery status. I tried the recovery screan but when I select an option it just stays there untill the battery dies. I have tried each of the options. When I said reload firmwear it said "erasing firmwear" and 2 hours later it said "erasing firmwear" so I guess it's safe to say it froze. The obvios answer would be that the HDD is screwed but it never makes mention of any failure of the sort. PLEASE help? My major issue is that I bought in in america and now I'm in India and unless I find some way to ship it back and forth really fast it will take a month each way.
Thanks a mill' if you read all that :-p

Though he's now in India, he bought his player in the US, so the US warranty applies. The following are relevant excerpts from the Micro's US warranty (bold added for emphasis):
8. The limited warranty does not apply to: a) Damage caused by normal wear and tear, abnormal use or conditions, misuse, neglect, abuse, accident, improper handling or storage, exposure to moisture, unauthorized modifications, alterations, or repairs, improper installation, improper use of any electrical source, undue physical or electrical stress, operator error, non-compliance with instructions or other acts which are not the fault of Creative, including damage or loss during shipment.
0. THE FOREGOING LIMITED WARRANTY IS YOUR SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEMDY AND IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CREATIVE HEREBY DISCLAIMS THE APPLICABILITY OF ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR USE FOR THE PRODUCT. IF SUCH A DISCLAIMER IS PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE IMPLIED WARRANTY IS LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE FOREGOING LIMITED WRITTEN WARRANTY.
Note also that some US states don't even allow the limitation of implied warranties to the written-warranty period; that is acknowledged in paragraph 2. Nonetheless, I don't think any implied warranty can be interpreted as holding Creative liable for damages caused by dropping your player.
