Make certain fields in the Account Detail Page Read-Only based on a Checkbo

We would like to make certain fields on the Account Detail Page Read-Only based on a checkbox that is on the Admin Account Detail Page. The fields we are looking to make read-only are Account Name, Primary Address, Phone Number.

I think you'd need to use dynamic page layouts for this. Look at the Account type values, if you are already using it then replicate those values you have so if you have Business and Personal make it Business Read-only and Personal Read-only.
When you are ready to lockdown those fields change the Account type from Business to Business Readonly and have the page layout for this screen with Account type, Name, Primary address and phone number as read only. You will a separate page layout for yourself so that Account Type stays as writable for you.
You will need to check if you can have Account Name as read only as it is a required field.

    Is there any authorization group which can be customized to take care of this situation?
    For Product Assignment block in DO_PREPARE_OUTPUT method of class CL_CPGOE_AB_OVELPRODUCTS_IMPL (Component : CPGOE_ABLOCKS :: View : OVELProducts) it is checking some authority. Any pointers where those authorities are maintained will be helpful.
    Creating a new configuration is not helping as the views are 'Table View'.
    We are looking for an approach which will avoid coding or involve minimum coding.

  • "search summary region" not in account details page for trx type invoice

    Hi All,
    This is the issue being faced by the customer.
    OIR.CU3 provided an update adding a "search summary region" in account details page.
    After applied CU3, in our development instance, Search summary region is missing in account details page when perform searches with search type: invoice, credit memo or payment. But search summary region is present by search type "all receivables" or "all transaction".
    We do not have any customizations in the account details page. But we do have custom ARI_CONFIG package.
    Custom ARI_CONFIG package is suspicious on this issue based on:
    1) We have custom INV/CM/Payment search codes in the search_custom_trx procedure, which provides the search results in acct details page.
    2) The info displayed in search summay region is based on the search results from ARI_CONFIG
    3) We don't have any custom code in ari_config package in vision and vision shows successfully the search summary region with search by INV/CM/Payment/All_trx/All_receivables.
    Since custom ARI_CONFIG package is supported by oracle customer would liek to know where is the search summary region gets calculated.
    This issue of this section not being displayed is not there when the custom package is not used.
    Please provide your valuable inputs on this.

    Thank you very much for responding on the query. Can you please provide me the exact file name as the customer would like to know which part of the code (which function call) he should make so that the summary section is seen even when the custom package is used.
    Also can you please let me did even anyone complain that the summary section is not shown when the custom package is used.

  • Is it possible to disable the 'edit layout' link on the record detail page

    Is it possible to disable the 'edit layout' link on the record detail page? Not the homepages, I know there is a switch for that, but I thought there was one for the detail pages?
    I want to disable this as I dont want users saving their own layouts, they must stick to the related sections defined in the default layout. The problem is that if they are to have access to certain related lists when an opportunity is of a certain type but NOT other types. If they have saved the layout (using the 'Edit Layout' link), and change the record type, they will see related sections that have been set to 'Not available' in the default layout (ie step 4) for that 'type'.

    Robbo, at this time it not possible to disable the Edit Layout on the record detail page.

I was also asked to download the Akamai download manager which i don't understand why. Also It said that once the manager was installed the download would appear in the browser which it never did. So, I have no idea if it did download or not. Not sure what else I can try. Would love some help.

    The Akamai download manager is used to download the software you purchased.  Try the download resources below.  The second one does not use the download manager.

  • Disable certain fields during the creation of SC using "create limit item"

    I have a requirement to disable certain fields from the role "SHOP" associated with the operational purchaser role. I would like to disable the fields "Unlimited check box", "Service Agent", " Invoice Only radio button", "Unknown account assignment radio button" from the screen I get during creation of SC using the option "Create Limit Item". Also i need to disable the option "Good / Service" entry box as we are using only free text items and donu2019t want this option to be seen in the screen when using the operational purchaser role.
    Please advise how can I achieve this.

    I have a same requirement to disable certain fields from the Shopping Cart Limit Item. I would like to disable the fields  "Service Agent", "Unknown account assignment radio button" from the Detail  screen. during creation of SC using the option  Limit Item .  Also i need to make default Value "Known" and "Invoice Only". But this is in SRM 7.0. Notes You have mentioned supports only Release 5.5, But I am in Release 7.0. Any idea?

  • Show invoice rows on the Notification Details Page

    My problem is that I want to show all invoice rows on the Notification Detail Page but I don´t want to define an attribute for each row because I don´t know how many rows it is on the invoice(it could be 1 or 100 or more).
    I have made a solution for 10 rows. I have defined a message with 10 message attribute and in the HTML Body I specify all 10 rows with its internal name.
    How to make it to avoid defining all rows? Anyone having an idea?

    I will explain little more about my problem.
    I have 6 different values that should be presented on each row, like this:
    2451 7801 0 0 34 USD
    In version 2.6.2 I added all these values with an appropriate number of   between the fields and put them in an attribute. Now we have upgraded to 2.6.3 but the html code is parsed different. So instead of space I get   in plain text like this:
    2451      7801       0 ....
    I tried to use an html table, but I get the same thing there. I put <td> - elements around the different values but get &lt;td&gt; instead of <td>.
    If the html code have been parsed on the same way as it did in 2.6.2 I could have put all rows in one attribute as you suggested but now I don´t know how to make it.
    Now I can´t have the 6 individual values in one attribute because I can´t format it as I want.
    Any idea?

    You are probably trying to use old Sync with Firefox newer than version 29,
    and they did make old Sync unusable on fresh installations of newer Firefox.
    You can uninstall that newer Firefox, then install Firefox 29 from here:

    For IBAN implementation:
    1. Implement SAP Notes 925410, 1409674, 1405521
    2. Go to t-code FIBF - From menu select Settings - P/S Modules - of an SAP Application - Create entry
    For Turkey we've added the following entry (depends on country) :
    00003040 TR CONVERT_IBAN_2_BANK_ACCOUNT_TR
    3. Go to V_T588M for module pool MP000900 and screen 2000 select IBAN & Q0009-IBAN00 fields as standard.
    4. Go to table T77S0 and make value of ADMIN IBAN entry S.

    In PWA, In Project details page, when we add Displayed Project fields into the Project Information page, Is it possible that I have a custom enterprise field and based on its selection, I can choose the other field in that page.
    I mean, say i have a Custom field in project page as 'Hardware' which has a lookup of say :
    CD
    DVD
    Flash Drive
    External HDD
    Cloud etc.,
    Then when a user selects any one of these. then the below appearing options will be based on this selection. 
    Say user selects cloud, then the next project field should be like Public, Private or Hybrid. Which is not same when user selects other fields.
    I did not find any OOB solution for this. So can anyone please guide me how can I achieve this in PWA, so that these fields may be used as enterprise custom fields, which can be later used for Reporting purposes.

    Hi,
    I haven't actually tried doing it, but can think of the follwing way:
    1. Go to the BP.
    2. At the top of the page you will see link as 'more'
    3. Click and it will show you Factsheet.
    4. See if the required view is there in the factsheet.
    5. If its there, then see the technical details
    6. Add that particular view to the overview page using Application Enhanacement Tool

    Sundar, you could create two web applets under the account object and create a report active contacts and another report for inactive contacts. If you do this then hide the standard contacts related section.

    How can I unhide an item I purchased?  it says to go to the Account Information  page, but nothing on there tells me how.

    I had the same problem when I updated to ios 6. My apps re-synched without going into their folders. I think Apple only allows you to have a certain number of apps on the display and it hides the rest. Well it doesn't really hide them. I hid a random app and then that 'Hidden Purchases' link was available but it only contained the app I just hid.
    Anyways, I arranged the visible apps into folders.
    Then I did this:
    Click the name of my iphone under the My Devices heading
    Click on Apps on the toolbar
    Found an app in the list which was not visible on my phone and dragged it anywhere on the home screen.
    Clicked the apply button
    After synching all the other apps were visible again.

  • Can I make certain fields conditionally required?

    I am TOTALLY new to acrobat- just to put that out there first. I am wondering in acrobat (NOT formscentral or indesign) how to make certain fields required based off the answer of the previous required field.
    I.E  first required field- "is this a single application?" if so, do NOT make the next few fields required
    "is this a joint application?" if so, make the next rew fields required.
    Can I get some help with this?

    What is commonly done is a button is used to initiate the email, using a "Submit a Form" action and specifying the email address of the recipient. The submit will fail if any fields that are marked as required are blank. In your case, you need to set the required property of certain fields conditionally, based on the sate of the form, and this will require a bit of scripting. It's not overly complicated though and you can get some help here.
    The Acrobat help document is a good place to start, though it won't help with JavaScript programming. A good resource is AcrobatUsers.com where there are a number of tutorials and other resources available about forms.
    Be aware that submitting form by email is often less reliable than expected, for many different reasons. A more reliable and secure approach is to set up the form to submit to a web server, but this involves even more expertise as it involves server-side programming and interacting with a PDF form. Emailing may seem sufficient for your needs, but be aware of the alternatives.
