Make panel visible with Applescript in CS5.5
Hello all,
I am looking to make the Separations Panel visible using Applescript in InDesign CS5.5. Just can't seem to locate the correct syntax. All assistance appreciated. Thank you.
OK, figured it out. Posting in case someone else may need it sometime.
Wrote a quick script to get panel info and see how they were referenced.

Then found this snippet to be what was needed.

You can use AppleScriptObjC in Xcode, or something like CocoaDialog or Pashua.

Are you regenerating a new installer with B1DE 1.3 or are you upgrading your old installer to VS2005?
If you are regenerating your installer, what kind of error are you having? Do you have a directory in your project called AddOnRegDataGenFile? Can you check the contents of the files is correct (mainly the path and file names)?
The installer.exe is created without problem?
If you are upgrading the installer project:
How are you trying to regenerate the .ard file? Are you using the .bat files autogenerated by B1DE installer wizard?
If it is the case you should check the .bat and .xml files inside the AddOnRegDataGenFile directory of your installer. This files have the complete path of many needed files, if you have moved this files to a different location or changed the name of a directory then the .bat files will not work anymore.
Please check the .bat and .xml contents, specially the paths and file names.

How to make panel collection with auto height in a ADF page
Hi,
I developed a page in ADF of version JDev 11.1.1.4.0 where I had a adf table under adf panel collection. Now I want to change the height based on my screen resolution.
For width I used the styleClass as "AFStretchWidth" but couldnt find any option for auto height for table due to this I can see vertical scroll bar on my page which I want to avoid.
Even I tired to create a customized styleClass as shown below but its fixed height but not dynamic

How to make panel collection with auto width and height in popup dialog ?
Hi,
I have ony af:popup in that I have added af:dialog. And in this af:dialog I have added af:table which is surrounded by af:panelCollection.
Means my popup structure is like as below

af:panelCollection
af:table
If I set resize="on" in af:dialog then I can able to resize my popup dialog but the panelCollection inside the af:dialog is not become auto adjusted.
I am able to make panelCollection width auto adjusted by using AFStretchWidh style class but not able to adjust its height.
Hope you can understand my problem and pls try to provide me its solution if you have already implemented this.

Dreamweaver Panels - Only one panel visible at a time, others get obscured even with Always On Top.
I have a problem with my Dreamweaver MX, and it is that I can only see one panel at a time, any other open panels get obscured. For example, with the work space maximized, and having the properties and behaviors panels open, I can only see one of the panels at the same time. If I click on any area of the work space each open panel will display and with the next click the other will display. If I make the work space smaller then the whole area of my screen, and move any open panels outside of the Dreamweaver work space, only then they will stay visible. I know this is not normal behavior, because I used to be able to see all the open panels simultaneously, with the work space maximized to use all the screen area. I went to Preferences> Panels> Always On Top, and all the checkmarks are still set, so as to keep all panels on top at all times, but this does no longer be the case. Can someone tell me what happened here, and how I can get back to being able to see all the open panels? BTW, I tried installing older version of Dreamweaver 4, and the same thing happens to both installed versions. This is extremely annoying!
Thanks. -Al.Since I upgraded to Firefox 19 from 18.0.2, on my Windows XP (SP3) laptop, I, too, can no longer open a new window. File-->New Window does nothing; also can no longer tear off a tab and open it in a new window (it stays where it is). Also, if I right-click on a tab and select Move to New Window, nothing happens. All of these worked fine in FF 18.0.2. All of these work fine with FF 19 on Windows 7. Only an issue on my XP laptop.
After trying to open a new window, and not seeing the new window come up (and yes, I waited a long time), I decided to close my current window, which had multiple tabs open. Instead of just closing, it pops up the message reminding me that I'm about to close all those tabs. If I say close, and then go into the Task Manager, the Firefox application has disappeared (as expected), but the firefox (and plug-in container) processes are still running. So I have to manually kill the Firefox process to get it to quit. it's as if it thinks there is another Window open (the one I tried to open but never appeared). This happens every single time! I've restarted my laptop, and that does not resolve the problem.
Is there a way to downgrade back to v 18.0.2 until this is fixed? -
How to make non-visible Control on Front Panel Appear at Design Time?
I have some Controls on the Front Panel whose visibility is changed (turned on or off) at Run Time. The problem is that if I stop the Run time, the Visibility of the Control remains in the runtime state in Design mode. So I may not be able to see or find the Control to make changes in Deisgn mode.
How can I make all Controls on the Front Panel visible, or find and make visible a Control on the Front Panel whose Visibility has been made False?

Complete the following steps to display a hidden front panel control or indicator. You also can hide front panel controls and indicators.
Find the block diagram terminal for the object. If you have several terminals with the same data type, right-click the terminals and select Visible Items»Label from the shortcut menu. Find the object with the label that matches the hidden front panel object.
Right-click the terminal and select Show Control from the shortcut menu if the object is a control or Show Indicator if the object is an indicator.
You also can use the Visible property to display controls and indicators programmatically.
You also can display all hidden front panel controls and indicators.

The camera connection kit can only be used to import photo/video files from a camera, SD card or USB flash drive. You can't import other types of files. You can't export any type of files using the camera connection kit.

In lightroom, in the Develop module. When I select a local adjustment for example the brush tool or the gradient tool, the adjustment panel for the particular tool comes up in the sidebar where I can make adjustments to these tools (shown in figure below).
Now my question is with this adjustment panel, it seems to be overlaying on top of the other default adjustments (e.g. the "Basic panel" - the exposure, contrast etc.) and when I scroll down on the other adjustments, the brush tool or the gradient tool adjustment panel is always on top and does not scroll with the default adjustments.
I would like to change the setting of this so that the adjustment panel is part of the other default adjustments in the develop module and scrolls with them,
I know this is possible because I've seen videos online where this is the case and my lightroom on another machine does this.
Would anyone know how would I change the setting for this?It seems to depend on the actual size of the Lightroom window. Just messing around with both LRCC and LR5 on my MBP 15" retina, with a 1920 x 1200 external monitor, and both Lightroom versions will happily scroll the Adjustments panel as well as the others, but only if the size (i.e. height) of the Lightroom window is below a certain level. So on the retina screen, when the display is set to "Best for Retina", the adjustments panel scrolls with the others. But if I change to the native 2880 screen resolution, and expand the LR window to fit, then the adjustments panel does not scroll.
Similarly if I move LR to the external monitor, same thing, i.e. adjustments panel does NOT scroll when the LR window in maximised, but it does scroll when I lower the height of the LR window (seems to be round about the 1600 pixel mark)
It's the same using LR5, and the same on the Windows platform. I suspect it's somehow based on the height of the adjustments panel in relation to the overall height of the LR window, i.e. the adjustments panel does not scroll when there's sufficient overall space in the right-hand panel to allow sight of the one or more of the other tools below. -

Iv googling and trying to make my movieclip invisible from start and then make it visible as you hover over a button. It seems impossible. You make it invisible and when making it visible again it just flickers and dissappears.
Simply putting mc._visible = "false" in the code
and then putting this on the button:

WONT WORK.
So if this is impossible, please just tell me and I will simply just skip the idea of having speech bubbles entering on rollover. : )

Automated report/ PDF conversion with AppleScript

I am attempting to PDF a spreadsheet from Dropbox, and email it to a set list of recipients with AppleScript. Much of this I have been able to figure out, but I am having some issues with the PDF conversion. As you can see below, I am still working on sending the xls file, and have not yet been able to get AppleScript to convert a specific tab of the file to aPDF. I expect scheduling to be handled theough crontab.

Spry tabbed panels, opening a tabbed panel, problem with IE
i've have made a site, with tabbed panels,
all the pages are made of a template;
everythings works fine; in Firefox and Opera,
but only in IE when i open a tabbed panel from a menubar, the contents is opened behind my header location;
i've used spry 1.6.1 and spryUtils to open the tabbed panel.
because there no other posibilty to open a tabbed panel from my other page.
i've tested the site on CSS and all, and i've don't get any errors.
this site is only on our intranet, and DVD;
so is not a online site
i' dont have anything modified in the java script.

Problem with offset settings CS5
I have got a large indesign CS5 (Win) document with many photos linked (all in RGB).
How should I prepare pdf for offset?
I am not sure the RGB-> CMYK conversion. If I can used conversion from Indesign which settings shoudl I choose.
I tried Pdf/X-1a 2001 but I am not sure about quality of phaotos and conversion RGB-> CMYK, apart of this text in
such a pdf is not sharp, seems pixelised.
Could you help me to solve this problem?

Please helpIf I make a page with a frame filled with a color where it's easy to spot a conversion—something like 0/0/10/50—and export it as PDF/X-1a, AcrobatX's preflight tells me the profile is DeviceCMYK not the Fogra27 Output Intent Profile I exported.
If I open Acrobat's Output Preview, the default Simulation Profile is the output intent profile and the gray shows the same 0/0/10/50 separation as in ID. If I change the Simulation Profile to US Sheetfed the separation panel does not show a conversion—I still get 0/0/10/50.
If I print separations to the different destination profiles the results match the Output Preview, in both cases the cyan and magenta plates are blank. I don't see anyway to force a CMYK-to-CMYK conversion from the Print dialog.
If I export the page again and include a destination profile rather than an output intent (by setting the Standard to None) I get very different results.
Preflight shows Fogra as the profile. In this case the Output Preview simulation defaults to my Acrobat working CMYK space and I get a conversion (because it is not Fogra). If I select Fogra as the simulation there's no conversion, which is what I expect. Again my printed separations match the simulations—by default I get a CMYK-to-CMYK conversion.
