Making a component to view my Own Map !!

Dear all,
I am developing a website with jsf and richfaces, but now, I'm in a state that I need to show a detailed map of my city to the user. I looked around to find a component that make it work, but I couldn't find one!
Is there anyway to show my own detailed map (except google map) in a jsf component and what is it?!?
or, if there is not one, how can I make a component that gives an image as input map, and makes available zooming in and out on the map, and selecting a point.
my second question is, how can I visualize addressing??! I mean that, how can I let user to make an area selection on the map and I write the address with the user's selection ?
please help me! a component for viewing my own map that is an image ?!?!

Such a JSF component doesn't exist yet. Look at the Google map API and integrate it. Basically JSF components does nothing much else than taking some variables and outputting some plain vanilla HTML, so it shouldn't be that hard to put all the HTML/JS of the Google API together in a JSF component.

Although the Map components in Crystal Xcelsius are cool, your choice ofmaps is severely limited. This might leave you wondering how you can createyour own Map components in Crystal Xcelsius. Although there is no way totechnically make a Map component, you do have a workaround that you canuse to create interactivity based on your own maps.As an example, I created the dashboard in Figure 13-25 to report on popula-tion data for the five counties in Rhode Island. In this dashboard, movingyour mouse from county to county changes the data that displays.
Take a closer look at this dashboard to see that the map is nothing more thanan Image component that has a few Icon Selector components on top. Hereu2019show it works:1. Import an image of the map by adding an Image component onto yourdashboard and selecting the image using the Filename property, asshown in Figure 13-26.
2. Add Icon Selectors on each point in the map where you want interactivity.These icon selectors provide the hot spot areas on your map (seeFigure 13-27): that is, the areas that give you interactivity at run-time.
3. Expand the selectors to ensure that you optimize the hot spots on yourmap. (See Figure 13-28.)You can expand the Icon selectors by clicking on the bounding box han-dles and dragging them until the selector is the appropriate size andshape. Expanding the size of the selectors reduces the chance of hittingdead spots that donu2019t have interactivity at run-time.
At this point, the icon selectors can be given some functionality basedon some scenario, but thatu2019s not your focus here. The point is that afteryou configure the icon selectors with some functionality, you haveessentially added interactivity to your map.Time for smoke and mirrors.4. Make the icon selectors invisible so that only the map is showing bygoing to the Appearance tab and adjusting the Transparency propertyto 0, as shown in Figure 13-29.The final effect is a custom map that has interactivity.
Keep in mind that you can use this technique with any image; it doesnu2019t have tobe a map per se. For instance, you can use this technique with organizationalcharts, floor plans, park maps, and various types of diagrams. Incorporatingpictures into your dashboards in this way can help you add something extrato your dashboards.

Hiit is rather disappointing that one can not import maps into crystal xcelsius as this is my main operation, the alternative approach that you so in great detail, whilst it works is not sutable for the tasks I carryout. I have access to all the maps for our operations and some are quite detailed, however I cannot use them? becuase your programme cannot import them. Is there a tool or method that you guys use to get the maps in to crystal xcelsius that you would be willing to share, as I would hate to have to find an alternative product to do that job Thnx Sam

Thanks DHAGIts a shame that we have hundreds of our own maps that we cannot use in Xcelsius and we are reluctant to buy any more, especially when they are none proprietory types, we need to use maps such as ESRI, MAPINFO or DWG types. Business Objects already know this of course as their Crystal Reports communicates with ESRI Arcview/ArcGis mapping products.Please update this product to use these, or make piece of software that will allow us to make our own map components and import them into XcelsiusAPART from my little blast! that said its a great productSam

Error during check of component BP_EEW view ContactRelEL in WCF_CC T.code

In CRM 7.0 EhP1, Perform Check showed error in UI Configuration that:
"Context Node Attribute does not exist: STRUCT.ZZFIELD in Object type: BP_ACCOUNT, Subobject type: ZZI5TEEWCONTACT
Role Config Key: <DEFAULT>, Component Usage: <DEFAULT>".
Please help on how to resolve this.

I selected the edit button, which lauched the UI Config tool. I noticed that the field attribute properties is not Hidden.
I do not see an assignment to Design layer. I tried to add Assignment.
Selected the object type BP_ACCOUNT & expanded it. But did not find the sub objectype ZZI5TEEWCONTACT.
What is the assignment I should make?
Information I'm looking for is to how to work with the transaction. It is intuitive, but I'm looking for information as to how to navigate to various places and fix issues.
For Eg: Error during check of component BP_EEW view RelEL was the error message.
I couldn't find any clue to proceed with this.
Please tell me the needful information I should be equipped with to understand & resolve issues.

You don't. Street View is a Google Maps feature, so you have to use it in the free, downloadable Google Maps app.

Satellite view of OVI Maps

Hi Folks,
Can anyone give me some advice about the Satellite view (and even terrain view) of ovi maps. I've put version 3.03 (but the problem existed in the previous 3.01) on today - which currently looks nice and works better, but when I select satellite view (map displayed -> press Cogs -> press Satellite View) the map view is replaced block by block by a repeated patteren of green stripes.
Is this the expected behaviour, or should I be seeing a satellite image? I have left the phone (N97) displaying the map for about an hour hoping that perhaps the map would get updated, but so far only 16kb has been downloaded.
The map was loaded onto the phone by Nokia Map Loader.
The green stripes result is the same regardless of whether drive mode or walk mode is used.
Am I doing anything wrong?

This is very frustrating.
I've been using my maps OK Offline on my Nokia 5800 (I downloaded the maps via the internet).
I now want to view in satelite but I just get green diagonal stripes instaed of trees etc.

Well, it actually depends on your configuration. The Interaction Center does not have a "home page" per se. Rather you can configure which screen shows up first. Normally though it is the Identify Account (customer search screen). Depending on your CRM release you can press the F2 button to get the technical details for any screen or field. Just a tip.

Standard WD ABAP component FPM_OIF_COMPONENT View CNR_VIEW

Hello Experts,
I have one application using the standard component FPM_OIF_COMPONENT View CNR_VIEW. Having two buttons Save and Close.
I need to add a pop up message to close button.
But when I look into the view of the component I am not able to see any button UI element over there. Insted i a seeing one transparent container but no buttons.

I would strongly recommend you to go through the [FPM cooKbook |http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/90f3cfd2-46d0-2b10-b3ab-eabf3452cc50]to read about how FPM works and how it is configured.
Once you navigate to Component Configuration of OIF component then you can add Save button as a toolbar element.
Do you know your WD component name which is being called from the application. if yes then you can navigate to Process_Event method of component Controller. This method comes when your component implements the interface IF_FPM_UI_BUILDING_BLOCK.
In Process_Event method you can write code for Save and Close event handling, code would be something like this -
CASE io_event->mv_event_id.
WHEN if_fpm_constants=>gc_event-save. "Save button is clicked
* you coding for pop up
When if_fpm_constants=>gc_event-close. "close button is clicked
* you coding for pop up
Endcase.

I want to view my own personally created Ibook on my Mac. Help.

I just formatted a 340 page cookbook for a nonprofit as a fundraising activity. I did it in Ibooks because it was easy.
I am new to this and have now realized the error of my ways. Apparently, Ibooks ONLY works on Ipads? I can't even view my book on my MAC computer.
I have started to do some research on various conversions -- hoping I can take a PDF and turn it into something that can eventually be saved as Epub. Tried the free converters, but they suck. On to trying to convert to HTML through another program and go from there.
Meanwhile -- I've heard tales about Requiem 3.3.6 being able to remove DRM which would allow me to view my own **** ibook on my own **** computer, but I am uncertain if this will work and it costs $40 (the guys deserve the money if this works -- but I'm doing this as a volunteer, so not yet sure that I want to start buying more software out of my own pocket).
This is ridiculous. I've got a month worth of formatting and work in this thing and now I'm starting practically from scratch (maybe a little better if my PDF to HTML to EPUB conversion works).
ARGH.

I think in order to preserve the transparency you need to convert them to icns format. Here's what I do:
1. Make the icon on a transparent background in Photoshop Elements, resize to 128x128 pixels size, and save as a tiff file, make sure you check the box to preserve transparency
2. To convert to an icns file you need a program that makes icns files. If you installed Developer Tools you will have Icon Composer, which will work nicely
3. Open your tiff file in Preview, verify that the transparency has been preserved, and select Edit->Copy
4. Open Icon Composer, click on the 128 thumbnail box, and select paste. Drag up to the smaller box, say yes to scale and make mask, drag up to the other boxes, saying yes each time, and then save
5. Download the program icns2icon, launch it, drag 'n drop your icns file onto it to create a custom icon you can copy using GetInfo
Or you can invest a measely $15 in Iconographer and do everything, including applying the icon to the file you want, in one very nice little program.

Scrolling component into view programmatically without using javascript

Hi,
Is it possible to scroll an adf component into view programmatically without using javascript?
I know of <af:scrollComponentIntoViewBehaviour> that can be added to a command component , but is there a way to do that programmatically in a bean?
Problem with using javascript is its not guaranteed to work in different browsers.

If i use the af:scrollComponentIntoViewBehavior, then i wont be able to achieve my desired functionality.
In my use case, i want the id, of the component that needs to be scrolled into view, to be determined in the server listener of the button which is not happening.
Code snippet in jspx page is as follows:

<af:serverListener type="customEvent"
method="#{pageFlowScope.bean.doScroll }"/>
<af:scrollComponentIntoViewBehavior id="#{pageFlowScope.bean.compId}/>

And the java code for method doScroll is something like :

compId = "id";
So, the problem here is "compId" is set to some value when bean is loaded and the id in the af:scrollComponentIntoViewBehavior will be set to that value forever.
I cant find any way of telling it to re-read the "compId" value, say after clicking the button. I can refresh the button in the server listener to update the compId .
But the updated compId will come into picture from *next click*. This is because, after the button is clicked, "scroll" action happens first and then serverListener executes.
Is there a way to change order of this execution like "execute server listener first and then do the scrolling thing" ?

Blocked from viewing my own website!

This morning my website went live via a GoDaddy domain name I'd purchased, my MobileMe account and iweb'08. All was working fine and I was merrily updating the site and publishing the changes. I was viewing my website using the latest versions of Safari and Firefox on my MacBook Pro and also via IE on my dad's PC. After about an hour of work on my site...Firefox and Safari suddenly started directing me to a GoDaddy parking page and not my website. However, I could still view my website on my dad's PC. I've just checked on my Dad's Mac too using Safari and Firefox on there and I can view it fine. So, why has my laptop seemingly been blocked from viewing my own website? Any ideas?

Hi Tom. Thanks a lot for the reply. I just went to check before posting and both browsers are now letting me view my site from my laptop. Maybe my IP had been blocked because I was viewing the site such a lot this morning whilst tinkering with it. Who know's?! I did also write to godaddy about it.
If it happens again, I'll be sure to put the url and .me details.

The Steps are as follows
1. Download the Component from Service market place
2. Uncar it and put it in EPS\in directory
3. Use the transaction SAINT to install the component
