Making my 2nd BT line the main phone line

I've been trying to find a solution for this with no luck. Spoken to several BT engineers (all based abroad!) and no one seems to understand the issue, let alone help. A pointer in the right direction would be hugely appreciated!
We have 2 lines coming into the flat - Let's call them Line 1 and Line 2. Line 1 is the main line around the house. If you plug any basic phone into a socket in any room, you get Line 1.
We have a Panasonic PBX system with both Line 1 and Line 2 going into it. Plug in a programmed Panasonic phone into any socket, and you get both line 1 and 2 available from the phone's selection menu.
We are dropping Line 1 and want to make Line 2 the main line in the house (Line 1 is hardly used anymore). We want to be able to plug a basic phone into any socket and get Line 2 by default. We also want to remove the PBX, although this is less of a priority. Main thing is to make Line 2 the default standard house line, and change our phones to basic standard phones.
I must be asking the wrong questions as I can’t find anyone than can help. Is this something BT can do? Is it the company that set up the PBX system (Spitfire I believe)?. Is it something I can do (I’m not hugely technical, but can follow basic steps)? What do I need to ask for, and to whom?
We do have a Cable & Wireless box near the PBX with two ethernet style cables coming out of them. They are labelled with the actual phone numbers of Line 1 and Line 2. I tried swapping those round, but it made no difference. Line 1 was still the main line. I suspect this is something compeltely unelated.

HT4910 I have 2 lines and on 1 of the main phone I went to settings then storage & backup automatically it showed how much space i have which was not allot and it also showed the other line storage space. I click on manage storage and it used to show both

I was told that I have 14.9 gb of space on my phone when my total is 15gb. I was adviced to free storage and to click on settings and manage my storage by either purchase more or turning off or deleting some of the back ups. When I went in to settings then to icloud it usually would of showed me both phone storage memory and when I started going down my list and turning off some of the apps from back ups of certain app all of a sudden I couldnt no longer see my phone storage memory or my account name for that matter. Now I only see the other line username and storage space that the other phone has.
What can I do? I used to see the list of all the apps I have on icloud and now its empty and it tells me I have available 13.4 gb available.

I cannot find this 300GB "Backup" in the Finder, only in the Storage info when I check "About This Mac".
You are probably using Time Machine to backup your MacBook Pro, right? Then the additional 300 GB could be local Time Machine snapshots. Time Machine will write the hourly backups to the free space on your hard disk, if the backup drive is temporarily not connected. You do not see these local backups in the Finder, and MacOS will delete them, when you make a regular backup to Time Machine, or when you need the space for other data.

I have restarted my computer, but the information remains the same. How do I reclaim the use of the 300GB? Why is it showing up as "Backups" when it used to indicate "Photos"? Are my photos safe on the external drive?
You have tested the library on the external drive, and so your photos are save there.
The local TimeMachine snapshot probably now contains a backup of the moved library. Try, if connecting your Time Machine drive will reduce the size of your local Time Machine snapshots.

Making a Photo Hyperlinkable in the main "Photos" page

In this shot, I want to make the Sunset picture hyperlinkable. That is, you click on it and it takes you to this page below, which shows all my photos under "Sunset".
I know about making the text "Sunset" hyperlinkable. But I want to make the photo linkable, not the text. I've tried dragging the sunset album to the Sunset photo to make it hyperlink but that didn't work. It just sat on top of the photo.
I tried pasting a picture over the sunset pic and then making that picture a link (this works), but that's time-consuming and the edges don't line up exactly.
If I make a new "Photos" page, and remove all photos plus the "containers" that hold them. Then add my photos. This would allow me to link the main page to another page.
Only thing is that I want to put those nice picture frames with shadows (which iWeb offers on the "Photos" page) around my photos and doing the above step doesn't allow me to do that.

You can't make a thumbnail on a Photo page into a hyperlink. What you want to do has been covered many times already in this forum (searching for 'nesting', for instance gives 24 results). Basically, the top page, from which you want to link to several category pages, should not itself be a Photo page, and the actual Photo pages you link to should have 'Include page in navigation menu' unchecked in the Page Inspector. Start with a Welcome or About Me page, for instance. Drag representative images for each category onto this page, arrange them as you like, and make each image a hyperlink to the appropriate Photo page. That's it in a nutshell.

Will I be able to extend a dual band network from a Time Capsule 2nd generation with the new Airport Express on both bands?

My Time Capsule 2nd generation is the main accesspoint in my house. It resides on the second floor in our living room. On the first floor in our kitchen I have an fairly new Airport Express that extends my network on the 5 GHz band and allows me to stream music via Airplay. I had to choose 5 GHz since the 2,4 GHz band is interfered when using the microwave oven. However, we have a rather old house with loads of metal in the concrete walls and therefore the 2,4 GHz signal from the second floor proivded by the Time Capsule is hardly available on the first floor. Since all our iDevices (iPhones and iPods) operate at the 2,4 GHz band we sometimes don't have a proper wi-fi connection. I had tried before with another (older) Airport Express that only operated at the 2,4 Ghz band, but I could get a proper connection between the Time Capsule and the Airport Express. Therefore I think it would be the best solution if the new Airport Express would provide both bands simultaneously.
If I replace my existing Airport Express with the new one, will I be able to extend my network on both bands?

It sounds like you may have configured your Time Capsule to use a separate name for the 5 GHz network and then setup the Express to extend that specific band.
In order to extend both bands, the Time Capsule setup will need to be changed so that both bands are using the same name. In other words, you would uncheck the option for the 5 Ghz name.
Then, setup the new Express to extend the Time Capsule network.
This is the only way that they Express can extend both bands. It cannot extend both bands if you have assigned a separate name to the 5 GHz network since you will be forced to choose either the 5 GHz band or the 2.4 GHz band for the Express to extend.
How the microwave oven will affect this is not known. This will one of those things that you have to try in your home to know if it will work well, so it might be a good idea to understand the store's return policy before you buy....in case things do not work out as hoped.

"main" phone in Address Book doesn't sync to iPod

I found that not all phone numbers in Address Book on my iBook were appearing on my iPod contacts after syncing. Apparently, the "main" phone numbers don't sync, while "home" and "work" do...I haven't tried them all. I entered many phone numbers as "main". Do I have to go through all by address cards and change them? Am I missing something?

I don't really know... iSync on Panther (10.3.9) is really old and it seems much have changed in Tiger... maybe it's a good decision to upgrade

How do I acces a var from the main time line in to a movieclip?

I'm making a quiz-type animation, since I'm new with ActionScript I had developed my own way to make this work.
I want to add like a meter that shows one out three position depending on the answer given, I had made this animation as a movieclip but now I need it to react according to the answer, so it changes on every question to do that I need to access the variables I'm using in the main time line, how can I access the the main time line variables from the movie clip?
The movie clip (meter) is basically the background and the questions will change and advance on top of that movie clip so it'll change with each answer until you get the final result.

I kinda of make it work using what you suggested: var meterVar = MovieClip(this.root).userAnswer;, but I have different problems now I'm getting this error: TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference.

Using Broadband Talk as main phone line

Hi there, just looking for a bit of advice/guidance.
I've got a Home Hub 2.0 and the Hub Phone 2.1, so I'm pretty impressed with the set up, despite only using the phone on occasion.
All the phones in our house (about 5) are knackered and need replacing. I've been considering making a switch towards the BBT, by getting another 4 Hub Phone 2.1s (not paying BT prices mind...) and subscribing to the Anytime BBT calling plan. Currently we have the equivalent landline calling plan, so that could be cancelled.
My thinking is that the 5 phones could be distributed around the house in the same way that are current phones are, and then each room would have access to the BBT line primarily, and then the normal line by pressing 5.
Is there anything else I should consider before making this change? I am aware of the emergency calling provisions etc. Has anyone else set up their home like this? How is it going?!

I have the original home hub, and have four hub phones dotted around the house.
Broadband talk does allow you to make a number of simultaneous calls using the same number, and also answer incoming calls on your normal phone line as well.
You can only make one outgoing call on your normal phone line, by dialling "5" from one of the phones.
As we make most of our calls in the evening or weekend, they are free, so we have no need for any extra calling plans.
Overall it works quite well. We do have a normal phone if there is a power cut, but we also have mobile phones anyway.
Remember also, you have a phone socket on the home hub which is connected to BBT.
I suspect that the new hub phones are probably better than the original ones, which can be a bit quiet.

After updating my iphone 5 of ios 7, I delete or trash my emails rorm my inbox and they pop back up in my inbox. How do I fix this? They are deleted from the main server but show up in my email on my phone and will not stay deleted.

I recently updated my iphone 5 to IOS 7 and since doing this, i cannot get my email messages to stay deleted when I trash them. They have been deleted from the main mail server but show up on my phone. When I trash them, they disappear for a few seconds and then re-appear in the inbox. I tried deleted my mail account from my phone and re-adding it, but this worked for about 12 hours and now its doing it again. I also have shut my phone off and rebooted it but this did not work. How do I fix this?

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPhone?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
Also consider deleting and reinstalling the Mail Account in question.

Baiscally the problem is that one comuter and one account has always been sued for eey persons itunes. Now if we want to be able to backup and use itunes on our own computers fro our iphones and such, how will all he data that is on our phones not be deleted once its plugged into a new computer? option discovered in preferences. Really this and any feature that moves deletes or edits a users data should as far as possible be OFF BY DEFAULT. It shouldn't by default and without the users specific say do this dangerous and unnecessary thing without even letting the user know what it's doing!!! And then cause me a few hours (as i'm new to mac) searching for the option so as to switch it off. If i hadn't noticed the status cage declaring that it was copying files then i might never have twigged that this insane thing was occurring. And if i hadn't of noticed i would have been left maintaining the contents of the folder i copied the files to, the folder which as far as i was informed and so believed was also the location of the music files i was playing. How does Apple justify this 'genius' piece of software non-design? Surely it will hurt no one if this was off by default for new users - overall at least i dare say it would cause a lot less distress in the future for the unsuspecting public at large. You need to help us first ...
Computer specs:
OS, CPU, RAM, GPU, vRAM ... and also disc layout & connections can be useful (as in, "2 internal hard-drives and an external on Thunderbolt connection for exports")
Program specs:
Specific build of Premier Pro from the bottom of the "About" splash screen off the "Help" menu is best.
Footage file type: MXF, AVCHD, MOV, m2s, what?
Even the camera it was shot on can be of interest at times.
And did you use media browser to import, then project panel to drag & drop?
