Management console 3.0 Java Errors

I have just installed Sun Management Console 3.0 and the install reported no errors
When I go to start the console es-start -c I get a list of fonts not installed and the a list of Java errors. The path for the fonts seems correct in the startup.profile. Any help on this would be much appreciated.

You can use Ctrl+ALT+End to open the menu for the remote computer.

  • Management console end up with error 1 status

    Hi Friends,
When I start SAP management console, it is end-up with error status 1.  Immediately after starting Management console, it is coming to Green color and with in 2~3 minutes, again it is coming to Yellow color and ending with error status-1.
Could anyone please help to solve this issue as I am not able to log-on SAP for a long time?
    Please advice.

Agree with garyc007. Exchange 2010 tools show the currently installed Service Pack version, and not what RU is currently installed.
Exchange 2010 SP3's build number is One CAS server ends up with version 14.03.0174.001, it means this server has installed Update Rollup 4 for Exchange Server 2010 SP3 successfully. I recommend you check if the other server has installed Update
Rollup 4 for Exchange Server 2010 SP3 successfully.

The error means that an add-on called yoono is having problems communicating with a component made by Microsoft. I spoke to somebody with experience in working with the firefox coding, and he said that they're likely to be different issued and to see if yoono or another extension is causing the problems by opening firefox in safe mode. To open firefox in safe mode, [[Safe Mode|click here]]. If you can get to the addon manager there, I recommend you get rid of yoono

  • Forefront TMG 2010 Error from management console

I am having a problem connecting to a TMG 2010 array from an installation of TMG management console we are receiving the error 'Refresh Failed' 'Error 0x80070057' ' The Parameter is incorrect'.
The only article i can find on this error is this which doesn't seem to apply to our setup or this problem but I have applied Service pack 2 anyway but still get same error. The only other thing i can find is
a few people saying the management console needs to be at the same version as the TMG servers you are trying to connect to but I cannot see how this can be done as when I try to run the service pack on the machine with only the management console I get an
error as the full installation is not there.

Firstly, have you found any related information in the event logs?
Nest, you can check the version of the TMG server from the TMG help menu, TMG system node or using Control Panel. For more detailed information, please refer to the link below:

  • SAP management console not showing AS java

    Hello all,
I have made a NW04s installation system test (linux+oracle). I then installed as java add-in EP and BI (AS JAVA, EP CORE, EP, BI JAVA). It was NW04s SR2 with SPC13 and kernel not changed: 700 patch 111.
In the SAP management console there were 3 entries: one for database, one for abap instance and one for java instance.
In the abap instance node I was able to see an entry for "AS java"  which was whowing two process (SDM and another one...).
I made a new test installation similar to the previous one and in the SAP management console I do not see any entry for "AS Java". Of course AS java is installed and running !
How can I get SAP management console show "AS java" ????
    Thank you

    Hi Jean,
Start Services.msc from run prompt (if this is windows based installation)
and look for <SID>services, where <SID> is your instance name..
Please do the following and let me know if this of any success
You get back your MMC , please do the following steps.
    1. Go to Run and type MMC.
2.Go to file and select add/remove snap in ( alt+m).
    3.Click on add
4.Select the SAP system from there.
Save the MMC console which you have created now....This should work fine.

  • HTTP 404 when opening DS Management Console

I have installed DS 3.1 on a Win 2003 server with BOE XI 3.1 (FP 1.6). DS and BOE are configured (standard configuration by the installation program) to use the same tomcat.
When I try to open DS MAnagement Console I got the error HTTP Status 404 - /DataServices/ in IE. Any ideas obout how to solve the problem? My BOE installation works fine on tomcat.
    The complete error message are:
    HTTP Status 404 - /DataServices/
    type Status report
    message /DataServices/
description The requested resource (/DataServices/) is not available.
    Apache Tomcat/5.5.20

    Dear Martin ,
I suggest you to use tomcat manager for deploying WAR files. Please follow the below steps.
    1) Go to Properties of MY computer
    -> ADVANCED tab
    ->click on Environment variables
    -> Click on New
    -> Give name as CATALINA_HOME and value as path for TOMCAT55 (default is C:\Program Files\Business Objects\Tomcat55 )
    -> say OK
Similarly create another variable JAVA_HOME and give path where the javasdk is installed . ( default is C:\Program Files\Business Objects\j2sdk1.4.2_08 )
    2) Open tomact manager using the following link
    give your tomcat manager credentials.
    3) You can see list of applications on tomcat server.
    Stop the /dataservices , /doc , /webservice  applications by clicking on corresponding stop button(if they are running ) .
    4) click on undeploy button corresponding to /dataservices , /doc , /webservice  ( dont worry if you dont see any of the above applications , we can deploy freshly )
5 ) Scroll down on the same page , go to option WAR FILE TO DEPLOY
    6) Browse for the following WAR files one by one .
    a) DataServices.war
NOTE : These three WAR files will be available in the following default path.
    C:\Program Files\Business Objects\BusinessObjects Enterprise 12.0\java\applications
7 ) Now restart the tomcat . Again login in to tomcat manager ,click on list of applications, click on
    \dataservice application .
Hope you can see , Data services management console. Proceedure looks complex but it is easiest way to deploy war files.

  • Solaris Management Console Server Problems

When I try to run Solaris Management Console, I get an error saying that the server is not running on port 898. I have followed the instructions on hte FAQ. I see no instances of smcboot running in the processes. When I run /etc/init.d/init.wbem start it returns to the prompt with no additional information. When I then run /etc/init.d/init.wbem status - it says the server is not running. Anyone have any ideas ... this is driving me nuts. I have gone so far as executing smcwbemserver by hand, and it returns "smcwbemserver [7]: /lib/functions: not found"
Does ANYONE have any ideas (faint sobbing sounds in the background...)

I've got the same problem on b63 aswell if I start wbem manually I get no error (infact I don't get anything) and the server just dies. Also had the same thing on a previous Solaris 10 beta and through trial and error found it to be /etc/resolv.conf misconfigured. Unfortunately I can't quite remember what I done to fix it , if I remember I'll post back.

    Regarding SMC (not SunMC)..
Note: SMC = Solaris Management Console
SunMC = Sun Management Center (topic of this forum)
Patch 121308-16+ makes WBEM "secure by default."
Customers running Solaris 10 6/06 or prior must modify the client's WBEM
configuration file to allow remote connections after installing patch 121308.
    1. Modify the following line in /usr/sadm/lib/smc/policy/smcserver.config:
    2. Stop and restart wbem.
    # /etc/init.d/init.wbem stop
    # /etc/init.d/init.wbem start
    3. Verify that WBEM is now listening for connections to port 898
    on all interfaces:
    # netstat -an |grep 898
    *.898 *.* 0 0 49152 0 LISTEN
In Solaris [TM]10 update 3 (11/06), the startup mechanism for WBEM was changed
from the legacy (rc script) method to the new Service Management Facility (SMF).
To allow remote WBEM connections on Solaris 10 update 3 or later:
    # svcadm disable wbem
    # svccfg -s wbem setprop options/tcp_listen=true
    # svcadm enable wbem

  • Oracle 10g Enterprise Manager DB control vs Enterprise Manager Console

We have a consultant install Oracle 10g on Windows platform. Somehow, I only see Enterprise Manager Console installed and I can use this console to access database. I don't see Enterprise Manager Database Control installed. What difference between Console and DB control? Please advise.

    ski123 wrote:
I see the interfaces are totally different. the console is more like Oracle 9i. I know the DB control is a web tool, just for Oracle 10g. My question is in terms of admin, which one is better? Why Oracle has different tool to manage Database? The Oracle Enterprise Manager Console is a Java Standalone client, not a 3-tier product like the EM DB Console.
The Java Standalone client was deprecated in 10gR1. Probably since not all features had been ported to the 3-tier DB Console (eg: Spatial index management and Workspace Management), Oracle decided to let us use the Java Console as an extra install from the Client/Companion disk. However it is no longer available going forward into 11g.
If you look at the 'Console' carefully, you will not that some areas are no longer functional and it does not cover all capability of 10g, for example in partitioning and indexing.

  • Management Console Fails

When I open our Exchange 2010 Management Console I get the error below.
"An Active Directory error 0x51 occurred when trying to check the suitability of server ''. Error: 'Active directory response: The LDAP server is unavailable.'"
Some background, we had a 2003 Exchange Server that was not being used and the sever was decommissioned.  Not sure how I can get AD to remove that 2003 server as it is too late to re-create it.  Any ideas?

Sorry, just reread your post and now understand that the ghost server is an Exchange server, not a DC.
If you have a machine with the Exchange 2003 System Manager installed, or can find a machine on which you can install it, that's the best way to remove the server.  Just navigate to it and delete it.
You can also use ADSI Edit.  Connect to the Configuration naming context.  Navigate to CN=Servers,CN=<Exchange 2003 administrative grou>,CN=Administrative Groups,CN=<organization name>,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=<domain>,DC=<com>,
select the server that no longer exists and delete the object and all its child objects.
The ESM method is the best because it'll help ensure that other dependent objects are removed, so I recommend trying to use that one.

  • JAVA Error in SAP Management Console in single stack

    Dear Experts,
Our client  SAP-PI 7.31 JAVA only server started displaying number of error message and I do have much hand in
BASIS activities since being a SAP-PI consultant. I tried searching the issue in forums but in vain..
Some of the error messages generated in Management Console are shown below.
1.JAVA Instance Task ABC shut down...
2.Server Cache 41per<50 perc average over 5 minutes below threshold  (22 values.)
3.JAVA Heap Memory 97%> 80 %  last value above threshold.
Could anyone suggest how to solve the issue?

    Hi Rebecca,
    Hope you are doing good.
For the "1.JAVA Instance Task ABC shut down..." check the work folder files and the default traces.
For the "3.JAVA Heap Memory 97%> 80 %  last value above threshold..." increase the heap memory values by atleast 1 GB if you have enough resources on the engine. On how to do this, see:
Configuring JVM Parameters - Administration - SAP Library
For this particular reason, SAP has developed the Quick Sizer (which is a Web-based tool).
This is available free of cost for customers from: <>
You will be able to identify whether more hardware/ server nodes etc. are needed and resize the server accordingly. With the Quick Sizer you can translate business requirements into technical requirements. Simply fill in the online questionnaire, an up-to-date survey that is based on business-oriented figures.
