I need to test in quality finance related activities, creation of Profit center, Cost center, Standard Heirarchy, etc.. Does anyone help me with the manual for role of Finance guy in creation of new Plant..

    Dear all,
        My customer is  having two manufacturing plant in India.
        One is DTA for domestic business and the other is EOU, 100 % Export oriented. In both plant they are manufacturing fridges.
        SAP implementation gone live on last july.
        Now they are starting Washing machine manufacturing inside the DTA plant for domestic business.  But they want to go for a new plant to be created in SAP,  they are not going to register that plant with government.
       They want that plant only for reporting purpose. I want to know will it create any leagel implecation while posting excise invoice or with Register maintanence.'
       Need your advice.

    I think you were asking from SAP point of view but I would prefer to answer the practice what should be followed from manufacturer's angle.
    If you treat any place as a separate plant, the first and foremost criteria which you should look into is excise part.
    From excise point of view, you need to get concurrence from the authorities to do business with the same excise group assuming that the address is same of the existing plant.
    If address is different, then you should treat it as a separate excise group and accordingly, you need to have a separate excise group and series group and therefore, excise registers and sales tax registers will be a separate one.
    Though your question should be answered in a lengthy way, better ask the client with their range office who will be the deciding authorities.

    then copy your plant from stander plant or existing one
    2and then define storage location if required
    3then assign plant to company code
    4if purchasing organization is there for your plant then assign plant to purchasing organization

    Hi there,
    As an SD consultant, these are the things you need to take care.
    Assign the plant to the company code in OX18.
    You need to assign the new plant to the sales org / distribution channel in OVX6.
    Then assign the shipping point to plant in OVXC. If WH is active for your plant, then assign warehouse WH to plant & storage location in LE assignment.
    Reg the master data, you need to assign the material master to the new plant. Also maintain the MRP profiles, plant specific data in the MM01.
    Maintain the shipping point determination in OVL2 & storage loc determination in OVL3 (OVL3 if required)
    Check with MM, PP & FI if they need to maintain any plant specific configs. There are some configs from their end for sure. For eg for production orders, purchase orders, movement types etc.
    Reg the testing, you need to ensure that plant gets proposed automatically when a new sales order is created. Also maintain the relevent plant specific condition records.
    Similarly when PGI is done, it should update the transfer postings in MM & FI w.r.t plant.
    Even tough your project is in final stages, you have to do a regrious testing when a new plant is created. Testing cannot be compromised for time lines. It will lead to serious production issues if tsting is not properly done.

               I have to create 3 new plants. the system is already productive from the last one year.
    can anybody guide what will be the effects if i create new plants and send the transport to the production system.
    what need to be looked for side effects if any?

    If you create new plants - there is no adverse effect but you have to make sure that the plant you create is copying by the existing.
    other things if you have any custom reports based on the plant then the new plant should be included, authorization needs to be consider if any basd on the plant,
    etc

  • Creation a new plant by copying

    Dear all,
    I working in a project where we need to merge on plant to a new company code.
    I believe that can be solve with Tcode EC02, which actually will copy all characteristics from that plant to the new one under a different company code, won't it?
    This basically means that also all the information related to procedures (like release procedure), Output types for inventory management, etc, etc will be copied, meaning that we wont have to do any new development?
    I assume we will still need to do some customizing like MRP Controllers and so on, or this transaction will also copy all tables?

    That basically means that unless we decide to create any new development/customizing everything will be exactly copy as from the original settings, am I correct?
    My question comes due to the project where I'm working now. Customer basically wants to close one company code and take everything to another Company Code, therefore we will need to replicate everything as it is now (Plants, SLocations, Controlling Areas, Sales Orgs, etc).
    My assumption is that when we create new plants with reference from the old one, also all values under tables will be copied, so we won't have to spend time in customizing, and we will be able to focus on other activities that may require customizing or more work.
    Could you please advice me on that point?

  • Creation of New Page in SAP Script

    Hi Experts,
    Please advice when will a new page trigger in SAP Script :
    As per my requirement I need to create a new page for an existing layout and make changes to the second page alone...
    but this page should be triggered only for a specific condition. Is it possible to trigger second page when it satisfies certain conditon?
    I have searched SDN regarding the same but most of them have recommended to use NEW-PAGE...but as per my understanding NEW-PAGE is used when certain data needs to be printed on the next page ( not on the new page ).

    Ok friend,
    Try using the conditions in your driver program using 'CONTROL_FORM' function module. or using some other condition in it.
    You can also give conditions in text editors and you can trigger the pages.

  • Creation of New Plant

    Inputs reqd to create the Plant........
    Our company have only 2 modules FICO and MM Module and Version used is SAP 4.7
    I tried to create the Plant
    1. Define Plant BU35
    2. EC02 -> copied Old Plant BU01 (old plant) to BU35
    3. checked Assignment for Plant to Comp code (already assigned) but found the error "Valuation area missing in T001W -> Save again"
    In OMWD Valuation area is not listed to codify the valuation group.
    Please give me the Steps to create Plant with the related parameter to maintain Inventory management and Physical Inventory.

    Hi Krishna,
    If user authentication method is AD, all AD users can be added into BPC for the required access, The task 'Define Security' covers who can add users, create or modify task and member profiles.
    The guide is a good place to start understanding it.
    If you already have a list of users and would want to mass manage the users into your new system, you could also use the program: ZUJE_MASS_USER_MGMT (to import users, teams, profiles into the target system).
    Note: Users and Teams are not included in the transport. So you need to manage them outside either by using the program that I mentioned above or add them individually using admin client.

  • Steps for creation of new risk in AC 5.3

    Hi,
    We have uploaded SAP delivered rules and risks, We are now in the process of creating our own risk.
    We have created functions but when we assign them to the risk that we are trying to create, we are getting the error message :
    Path not found.
    We get this error when we save the risk.
    I guess this is a work flow issue. Let me know if you have any solution.

    Hi Rajesh,
    I assuming you are in the risk recognition/rule building phase for RAR.
    Then you can unplug the workflow by setting Risk Maintenace = NO (configuration >> workflow >> Risk Maintenance)

  • BAP for Creation of new BP Relationship

    I am attempting to create a new relationship as a part of a data conversion task.  I have used function modules:
    BAPI_BUPR_RELATIONSHIP_CREATE
    and
    BUPR_RELATIONSHIP_CREATE
    In both instances I specify the following:
    Partner 1 = existing Sold-to BP
    Partner 2 = existing employee (BP role employee)
    Relationship = BUR011 (Responsible Employee)
    Dates default and when using BUPR_RELATIONSHIP_CREATE
    GUI is left blank
    When I run the function modules there are no errors and the messages: 
    Warning: Not time constraints: Date specifications will be ignored
    Success: Relationship was transferred. 
    However, when I view the Sold to BP or the Employee BP record in transaction BP (Relationships button), there are no new relationships and BUT050 has no additional entries.
    I am not sure if something else needs to be done or if I have the wrong function module all together!
    Can anyone assist?

    Hi Katrina,
    You can use BAPI_BUPR_RELATIONSHIP_CREATE and just pass 3 values:
    partner1
    partner2
    relationship category
    However if successful you then need to call
    BAPI_TRANSACTION_COMMIT
    or it won't be saved to the database.
    That is why your tests are not working.

    Can anoy one please provide me name of BAPI to create material variant.This is required when we create material variant for a configurable material, characteristics values are added in MRP 3 View  .

    i am not clear what youn are looking for.
    Say material X is KMAT,
    Material Y you have created as a variant of X by entering the conf material X in MRP3 view and setting the char values
    Material Z you have created as a variant of X by entering the conf material X in MRP3 view and setting the char values different than Y
    Now Y and Z are material variants of X, now tell me exactly what you are looking for?

  • Handle Reverse charges tax lines from Sabrix for creation of new Invoice document.

    Hi Gurus,
    I am facing an issue in case where Sabrix is returning Reverse Charge Lines as show below:
    Tax Rate
    Tax Amount
    Tax Base
    -0.24
    -240
    1000
    0.24
    240
    1000
    The original invoice Line item was as follows:
    Net Amount : 1000.00
    Tax Amount : 0.00
    PO Number at line level.
    Tax code : I1
    Now, I am using BAPI : BAPI_INCOMINGINVOICE_CREATE to create an invoice document for non reverse charge scenarios. I am filling table : GLACCOUNTDATA with other details such as GL account, tax code, amount, etc from Invoice related document and PO.
    But I have no idea where should I push these reverse charge lines.
    Please help me from technical perspective on how to assimilate these reverse charge lines.

  • CUP - Issue regarding creation of New SAP ID in CUP.

    System :  SAP GRC 5.3 SP 12..
    We have requirement where in we need to design a workflow for creation of New SAP ID.
    The Naming convention followed for SAP ID is FIRST LETTER of FIRST NAME and LAST NAME with maximum 8 characters.
    For Eg
    JOHN SMITH would have SAP ID as JSMITH
    JERRY SMITH would  have SAP ID as  JSMITH01
    The requirement here is when user fill the REQUEST FORM for NEW User ID there is field where in the requestor need to put the desired SAP ID,
    Can a validation be set OR Logic be written so that user can put the SAP ID as per the naming convention..?
    Also , any other solution as to how the situtation can be handled in CUP...

    Hi Ajit,
    Yes, you can maintain the user ID in the Active Directory. User id will be now auto populated in the request form, from Active Directory when  we data Source is LDAP -Actice directory. So when user login to end user form to create a request, It's all information( user details + manager details ) will fetched from Active Directory.
    It is not possible to change userid in later stage of approval in the request.
    You can have security as final stage and guide them to create user manually as per naming convention.

    I am going for one roll out project. In that we have to create new plant, so should i have to create new sales organization or else we can use the same. And also tell me what are the benefits & disadvantages of that.

    i will say only one logic here.
    if you define the plant or new plant you need to extend all the other organisational units for it right.
    then i there is no need for creation of new SALES ORGANISATION on the same.
    please take the advice of your PM in this regard he might be having different views from reporting perspective and might be your roll out project needs a new sales orgn or not.
    if you ask us thre is no need for creating a new sales organisation on the same.
    advantages:
    if there is a really need for creating a new sales orgn as wellas plant this mihgt be for reporting perspective only & analysis will be very clear.
    disadvantages:
    this is not a disadvantage but from Enterprise Structure point of view master data will increase ofcourse this master data is needed for smooth processing of SYSTEM
    hope this clears your issue.
