Many probelm in nokia belle fb2

1-can't open front camera(in belle fp 1 i can)  2-can't close camera(in belle fp1 ican)  3-sound of radio be slow(in pack 1it's the best sound of radio in all phone)  4-can't open many app it said close some application and app will close by iself and can't play asphakt 6 (in pack 1 ican open mora than 10 app and game and it never said close some app and all games play very good).  5-when capture image or video it show at the last of garllay.(fp 1 show in front gar)  6-can't select many items in garllay to sent.(in fp1 i can)  7-some music like last album of lil wayne and tylor swift can't be frowad or preview.(all music play normally in fp1)  8-mkv video format said audio not support and allso can't forward or preview the video.(mkv video work very good and never said audio not support )  9-in landscape music app only show album and can't open playing now.(in fp1 i can go to now playing or view song in landscape)  10-can't open two wep side and browser in desktop mode the browser will close.(in fp1 i open many websites like music,sport,download in same time in it never close by itself or slow)  11-in arabic keyboard there's letter don't show unless you press shift and that very bad in chat(in fp1 show alk letter in one place)  12-can't create new office world or exel in arabic letter only in english letter.(in fp1 i can)  All this probelm is not in belle pack 1  belle pack 1 is the best symbian from all other symbian the only problem in it can't play rmvb file  please how i can return to belle pack 1

There is there is no way to downgrade the firmware of a Nokia device.
Whilst there is no on-screen way to exit Camera - instead, you have to press the red/hangup button.
Furthermore the front camera does work, you need third party application to access front camera of which Scam is an example from Nokia Store:http://store.ovi.com/content/249918

1. It's not wise to put more pressure on devs than what they already have from Nokia.
2. I'm waiting anxiously for this, since Belle Refresh should contain the most important update ever, and that isn't the browser, the Maps or the bugfixes. This update is Qt 4.8.
As a KDE user (KDE is a full desktop replacement built entirely on Qt), the speed difference between Qt 4.7.4 and Qt 4.8 is MASSIVE. Specially when optimizing for Qt 4.8. Believe me, you really feel the difference. Just like a Nokia Belle phone, KDE depends on Qt for everything, and that includes screen redrawing, effects, acceleration and the like. Don't be surprised if in your N8 you get at the same time more battery life and more performance.
3. I have a Nokia 500, so I must wait even more than you all. But Qt 4.8 works wonders when it's time to punish the OpenVG GPU of my cell phone. I'm waiting for exactly the same improvements, since I know they are delivered even in Software rendering.

Downloaded Nokia Belle on my N8 - problem cant use...

I have connected my handset to my PC and started to download Nokia Belle onto my device, the only problem is, is that ive ignored the message "do not touch phone, even when it asks for regional settings and passwords etc" however I have done and the phone has started up whilst it waqs trying to update. Now, when the bar prompt "installation.........." comes across the screen it freezes, and it cannot update anymore. Its about half way through.
Even when Ive disconnected the cable from the phone the prompt is stuck there even when I switch off/on.....I have tried to reset by holding the power button for 8 seconds, and switching back on but the "installation" bar still appears and wont let me use any other function of the phone.
Have I permanently knackered it, or is there a fix to this?

You raise an interesting question as the flashing of update has completed otherwise you would have a "black screen". It is possible that device could be brought to life by carrying out a three key depressed power on reset with device off, however you would probably find that various applications such as Nokia Store would not work afterwards as data deleted from both C:\ and E:\. You may have to reconcile yourself to visiting a Nokia Care Point for device firmware to be re-installed, but the above procedure may at least restore device to be able to make calls in the interim.

My N8 became new again!!!
I have a question, though,
¿Will at some point be available to us (ex-Symbian^3 users) those beautiful widgets that we can see all over the web from the Belle leaked versions?
I mean the weather widget, the reduced music player widget, the 2G/3G toggle widget, Mobile Data Track widget, the offline widget, BlueTooth Toggle widget, etc.

Really, I had a little disappointment when I bought my nokia 500. I expected to find impressive transition effects when changing between menus or when I bend the phone (changing view landscape/portrait)...
Surely, these effects will not be available for nokia 500 after nokia belle update, although its 2D graphics capabilities...
I watch other customization firmwares for Anna on the nokia 500 with these effects enabled and more FPS and they they can be seen incredibly soft and fluid... (you cand find it in internet)
Please, don't disable them!!!

As a rule you are not permitted to downgrade software. However you can try your nearest Nokia care centre and try to give them sufficiently strong reason. They MAY agree to downgrade. Decision is solely dependent on them.
And yes, please dont fall prey to the tricks available on internet.

I am using Nokia belle 111.030.0609 for past few days and found some good things as well as bad things.
Good things are:-
1.Swipe lock feature
2.New camera features
3.Image editor inbuild
4.New keybboard
5.Hindi fonts
Bad things are:-
1.Battery life decreased.I am using Nokia battery monitor 3.1.Before update, it shown me Average use 52 hours ,Music playback time 37 hours but now it is showing Average use 34 hours ,Music playback time 18 hours.I charged my phone in night to 100% and when I check the battery in next morning, it shows 95%.I didn't configured any mail.No antivirus, no call recording application or any other application running then why battery is draining very quickly without using any application.
2.When i play any music or video file and icreased volume to 100%, it shows me "To prevet possible hearing damage,do not listen at high volume levels for long periods ot time". and i unable to listen music at full volume.Right now, i can listen music only with 50 % volumne.There is no option to diable it.
2.No button to use front camera
3.No back button when open camera
4.Unable to connect social(Facebbok,Twitter).When i tried to start it, it show "Unable to start"
5.No multiple mark check in gallery.Its very difficlt to transfer many files one by one to another mobile using bluetooth or NFC.
6.Unable to set any photos as wallpapaer using gallery.There should be an option to set a photo as wallpaper.
7.No video editor
8.Consuming more memory
Ih there aany way to downgrade the fiorware.I dont like the current firmware.

would any official from nokia please tell me if nokia 603 will be upgraded from 1ghz to 1.3 ghz like 700 and 701?. Many people owning 603 are asking about this and if no, would you please give us the reason aren't 603, 700 and 701 identical hardware wise and software wise?) and also if no, will this affect future upgrades and updates for 603 i mean : will it get the same upgrades and updates of 700,701 and 808 after belle fp1 update ?!!)

Will belle feature pack one increase processor speed 1 ghz to 1.3 ghz.
Yesterday in nokia conversation say that only 700 and 701 get increase processor speed 1 ghz to 1.3. finally what about 603, the 603 will increase speed.
This is not fair with nokia 603 users...

Nokia Belle N8 C Memory disappearing

This is a bit of a long post, so please read it all in the hope you can offer some real support!
I know this issue has been raised across a number of posts, but none I've seen has managed to give me any help in trying to sort out my issue with the C drive of my phone quickly disappearing. I've currently got about 20MB free on the disk, but when I tried updating Nokia Maps through Nokia Store, the update used up all free memory on C and failed in update.
I have y-broswer and x-plore installed on my phone, so I should in theory be able to get to all of the cache, downloads and general rubbish that apps keep filling up my C drive with.
However, when I go through all the folders I can see and tot up the amount of memory in use, I seem to be a way off the 256MB that should be available...
C:/resource is by far my biggest fodler, with about 20MB of files in there. I've been through all locations but cannot find where all the data is! My directory c:/private appears as completely empty when I try looking at it, which seems to be where most people are directed to clean their memory.
One thing I have been doing is auto-backup of my phone to the external memory card which runs overnight - I've read elsewhere that people have reported this to have been incrementally eating away at C drive, but I can't find any temp files that would explain this.
It is also often said that Social image cache (and other apps caches) use up plenty of C drive an so these should be cleared out. Can anyone point to specific directory locations where this can be found? Again, after much searching there seems to be very little that I can find to delete.
It's getting to the point where I'll have to do a soft or hard reset and start again and just hope for the best...but if anyone can post how to clean up C drive it'd be very much appreciated. Most people just seem to say 'clean social cache' and the likes, but this isn't very helpful if we don't know where to look!

Nokia must do something about the low phone memory on the Nokia N8-00. Why did they remove the option of storing messages on the mass memory and why are emails stored on the phone memory instead of mass memory? Temporary files stored on C: Private should be deleted by the phone itself instead of using means that will be harmful to your phone and void your warranty i.e Hacking. Nokia do something about this shrinking phone memory on the Nokia N8-00 yet all the applications are installed on mass memory other than the applications that are part of the Nokia Belle OS. I hope that this will be rectified by the next software update that Nokia will provide for the Nokia N8-00. Concerning Maps Suite 2.0 I wished that Nokia could completely remove the previous version of maps to free phone memory and install the latest version that will be replaced the free memory lost during installation phase instead of eating 20 MB more from the phone memory or they make a fix to Maps Suite 2.0 that will install completely on mass memory. Concerning Microsft Apps I wished that Nokia could fully make it install on mass memory rather than installing parts of it on phone memory and mass memory that stills ends up eating 20-15 MB more from the phone memory.
Many Nokia N8-00 users who are running Nokia Belle have not updated or are rather afraid to update to Nokia Maps Suite 2.0 and Microsoft Apps because of the fear that their phone memory will decrease rapidly causing the device to become unresponsive or slow affecting the overall performance of the device. I wish that Nokia will overclock the CPU speed of the Nokia N8-00 to make the device a bit faster than it is.

Nokia Belle FP2 -Pros and bugs.

Nokia Belle FP2(Sw.Version 113.010.1506) seems to be another cool release by Nokia with many bug fixes and lot of improvement in ease of usability.
Here are some of the things I would like to share:-
1.New music player with new appearance and correct album list.
2.Search shortcut on the homescreen.
3.Music player pause and play in the dropdown status bar.
4.Improved transition effects.
5.Very good in place pop up options for fast selection of items.
6.Improved video player aspect ratio switching with double tap.
7.Improved speed in file manager.
8.Cool new extra widgets.
9.Nice looking security lock keypad.
10.Nokia 808 style camera interface is a highlight in FP2 with lot of speed improvement in capturing an image!
11.Very good new lock screen with fast access to alerts.
12.Camera can be opened while keypad is locked!
13.New keyboard with native language.
14.Improved volume level design.
15. Improved selection of text for copying and pasting.
16. Apps open much faster especially like the Dictionary app.
Bugs/Drawbacks:-
1.The worst keyboard ever.
A. Lots of eye movement, have see both body of typing and suggestion. No predictions is used, though prediction is present, it is not used for helping the user to write the message fast but to struggle in selecting appropriate words.
First type regardless of tiny mispellings and check whether the word is in the suggestions or not and select appropriate word, instead of the phone selecting appropriate word itself and helping the user to select the word by itself.
user has to see the suggested words and select the word instead of looking at the message body.
please don't make our phones unusable.
B. No right and left arrow keys to move between tiny letters.
These keys appear only when you tap on the body of the message in messaging only, not in an app like opera mini.
Try and try again until you get the cursor beside correct letter!
C. The suggetions on top of the keypad takes extra speace and blocks the typing area apps like opera mini. See attachment.
2. Unusable gallery app.
A. Now there are only two options in gallery. Add tag and delete with mark option. No mark option to select multiple images and send them via mail or bluetooth. You can send one by one by opening an image and then by using options-send.
B. There is no add to favourites folder or any other custom folder to move your important photos or images of your important documents etc.... you need to scroll to the correct image and open it. Now the more images you have more scrolling and time it takes for you to see your image.
C. The new gallery app cannot zoom in high resolution photos or the photos from 808 pureview.
It shows blank black screen when you zoom.
D. Image editor cannot zoom the image like as with old editor. Very limited zooming. like you zoom in gallery.
3. Battery performance seem to be improved now, but not like initial Belle.
4. Camera:
Option to select front camera has been removed. Very bad.
5.Mass storage mode.
Now with FP2, Connecting in Mass storage mode hangs your phone completely, only way is to remove the battery.

Hey I have updated my 701 to FP2 just after you guys released FP2 from your servers via OTA(2nd oct) . Over all its a good update but i have noticed that
1) No option to use Front cam while in camera or video mode .
2) No exit button in camera or video mode( have to press End key)
3) Nokia Music and Video editor fails to respond( DEAD)
4)Phone is laggy especially when using music player and web/email applications at a time.
5)BELLE EXTRA BUTTONS are colliding with CALL & SEARCH homescreen buttons( CHECK ATTACHMENT )
6)In Landscape mode ( when using any application e.g: Whats App or Nimbuzz e.t.c.,) not able to see the text typed above.( CHECK ATTACHMENT)
7)No option to select Multiple images in gallery.

Nokia belle to roll out from Feb 8th.........Check the screen shot of Nokia site Vietnam......Hopefully that settles the matter.........approx 10 days to wait.

Bored of waiting to be honist can't wait for my contract to be up and go buy a Samsung who are moving forward about 100 time faster than Nokia.   Nokia are just too slow to keep up.   The windows phones are ok but still lack camera as good as N8 and no flash.   These delays in software releases is just killing them not sure they have heard of TIME TO MARKET many of us were telling Nokia their errors 4 years ago but they didn't listen they still dont listen.
They make too many phones instead of getting one perfect, they are too slow to update, They are too tied in to networks who insist on putting their wast of time branding on everything.

We're sorry to hear that you have been having trouble updating your N8 to Belle. Have you tried the possible steps on the following page, including the video, to ensure everything is connected how it should be?

Also, it might be worth you backing up your device and performing a hard reset, which will restore the phone back to it's out of box state. This simply can be done by entering *#7370# into your device and when prompted, enter the default passcode 12345.

Nokia N8 with Nokia Belle does not recognize heads...

My headset (WH-701) is no longer recognized by my nokia N8 after I had updated to nokia belle. I first have to put my headset into the 3,5 mm AV connector before being recognized, and even then the headset may stop working after a few minutes. Once the headphone is working I still cannot make use of the (music)buttons on the headset (louder, softer, next, previous, etc.) Please can someone help with this problem? There must be a solution for this? I am using the headphones every day.
I know that already started on several topics, but Nokia has still not responded to this problem!

if you are having problems with your phone, you can try checking via the phone itself or via Nokia Suite, if there are any firmware updates available, and to please update to the latest version offered. If there are no updates, try re-installing your current firmware, and if that doesn't work, then Restoring to factory settings. Failing that, perform a three-finger hard reset and if that doesn't work either, then you will need to take your phone to your local Nokia Care point for them to inspect.
