Map download data?

Hi all,
I've an N95 and have successfully downloaded a load of maps. I did notice though that when doing a trip it still downlaods quite a bit more data, which is fine in the UK on my network but not so funny when abroad.
Is there anyway of getting more data downloaded for a somewhere abroad whilst sat at home, maybe using my wi-fi?

Presumably you could download more data for a number of destinations via wi-fi connection prior to journey, but detail may be a bit sparse in between. Unfortunately in Nokia Maps 2 currently in beta there is even more encouragement to download data with traffic news capability.

Hi,
Incase data is already loaded in DOE(pushed or delta load) and rule is on device user, the current behaviour is the expected one.
Do you have Twoway dataobjects where data is loaded from Backend to DOE when device syncs.?
If this is your scenario then you need to filter data for that syncuser even from backend to DOE.
Means load only the data for that syncuser from BE to DOE via getlist & getdetail.
If the getlist signature contains the user field , then in transaction
SDOE_WB, double click on the backend adapter for this dataobject
>edit mode
>default values tab
>select getlist and the field user
>select data communication header structure from the drop down
>map this to send_usr
>save and activate
This means that incase of this twoway data object, during sync when getlist is invoked, syncuser will be filled and the bapi wrapper will return only those keys relevant for that syncuser and only that data is loaded to DOE inturn downloaded to device.

Sybase Unwired Workspace: synchronization and customized download data

Hello everyone,
I created an MBO from a webservice and I added two load parameters mapped on two sinchronization parameters, for a totally online application.
In "customization download data" textedit, I added ORDER BY [column] clause, but it seems to have no effect.
Someone managed to make it work?
Furthermore, neither "query limiting" option and "Object query" (with one fixed parameters) seems to work under this conditions. Can anyone help me please?

Nokia Maps Downloader Error

Hello. I have an E-72. I was able to download the maps perfectly with ovi maps version 3.03, and then I installed version 3.04 beta but didn't like it so I switched back to 3.03. I cleared the maps using nokia map loader. When I tried to download them again, they all download except for Saudi Arabia (which I had before). I even hard reset my phone but still keeps doing the same thing, downloads and midway through, says "item: 52f40.cdt" "Message: File couldn't be uploaded. The file or folder might be in use."....and the Nokia Map Loader says: Download Error..An error has occured while downloading data to your phone"....and then Nokia Map Loader freezes. I even deleted the cities folder and re-installed both map loader and ovi maps. I'm using a mac if that makes a difference. Please help.

Delete the entire cities folder and qf file on the root of your memory card.
Run the Ovi Maps application on your phone (it will re-build the cities folder and qf file). Exit the application.
Download the map you want.
Saudi Arabia
Now you must extract the contents of this zip file to your MicroSD.
Extract contents of the file to cities\diskcache (overwrite / replace files if prompted; it's completely normal).
Download the Index file.
Index Asia
This is for offline searches for the entire Asia region (which Saudi Arabia falls under).
Extract contents of file to cities\diskcache\ClientIndex (create ClientIndex folder if it doesn't exist. Overwrite/ replace files if prompted)
Now you need Voices.
See the Voices section of this topic
(you may also prefer to grab entire continents instead, which is covered there).
Disconnect the phone. Start Ovi Maps on the phone.
You should have it working.

INADEQUATE information on NOKIA MAPS Download Site

The information NOKIA gives about maps version in the Nokia Maps Download page of their web site is really poor: Nokia Maps 2.0 or 1.0, nothing more.
Minimum details if they were more serious should be:
1) Release date
2) Release version
and possibly:
3) Tentative date for next update
So people can decide if they need to update or not. As their site is now, it is not possible to know at a glance if maps are more recent then the one you already have.

if your phone uses navteq go to there website and check the maps for yourself and see if there better than the ones you have.as for the rest you are correct

Download data from ECC6.0 to CRM

We want to download data from ECC6.0 to CRM 2.0.
I am facing an error while trying to use Function module 'SMW_CALL_MIDDLEWARE'
to create and post BDOCS in CRM 2.0.
The BDOCs are getting posted successfully. However, function module is updating
only SMO* ( Mapping) tables but not the CRM database tables. Does anyone has any suggestion on this.

I think your corresponding mobile bridge needs to be properly active. That should take care of posting data from CDB to CRM.

To download a TPZ file in ESR (Integration Repository), Go to Tools--> Export design objects
Step 1. (Select Source) Use the mode as Transport using File system & Check the checkbox for "Download File to Client"
Step 2. (Select Objects) In Object Set, choose according to your requirement, like Individual Objects to export only a data type or All Objects of Individual Namespaces etc.
Step 3. Click on finish Button
Step 4. Save the desired objects as a .tpz file on your local machine which can again be imported back on the ESR of any PI system.
Step 5. A pop-up "Export Successful" appears which confirms the export of the objects as a .tpz file. Click on Close button.

Download data from ALV to excel issue

Hi All,
Could you please tell me if there has any restriction on ALV grid data download to excel? I've a report contains 68 columns and about 500 rows, I want to download the data using the standard menu list->export->save to local file. but after I download them, I found the first 65 columns display in one line and the rest columns display in next line, just like ALV do not allow too many characters in one row and have to switch to new line. I can hide some columns but it's very strange that even after i hide 3 columns to fit the 500 rows download, then if the rows increase, the same problem occurs.
I searched the forum and in the thread Re: Export ALV in EXCEL Issue Mr. Suvajit provided a solution by using menu List->export->spreadsheet, it looks very good. But I still want to know how this happen and is there a standard way to download data with more than 65 columns to local file with extension .xls so that user can open it directly?
PS: I'm using FM REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY and the SAP version is SAP ECC6 with kernal package SAPKB70103.

Please check if following analysis is helpful to you.
Analysis/Solution:
When we export ALV data to excel worksheet, as sap notes say the maximum lenght allowed is 1023 charaters and the max no of columns supported is 90.
(I never faced any issue related to no of columns as it worked fine for columns >90 too)
Issue occured when row size of exported data gets more than 1023 character.
Therefore the row data must not exceed 1023 character, otherwise column splits and moves to next row.
One additional aspect generally missed is that:
When data in any particular column changes it's length, alv header also changes its lengh (short text, medium text, long text; depending on the length of of the longest cell in the column)
therefore even if you have total length of row less than 1023 character, there might be cases when your ALV header size exceeds this length.
Reducing the header size (by forcing to use short text or specifying own header names) should resolve the issue.

Problem in downloading data from application server

I tried the following code for downloading data to PC in background:

OPEN DATASET p_file FOR OUTPUT IN TEXT MODE ENCODING DEFAULT.

    LOOP AT itab INTO istab.
      TRANSFER istab TO p_file.

Here, the contents are not getting transferred to the p_file. I give the path of the file while executing the program.
First of all, the file is not getting created in PC. And the statement 'OPEN DATASET p_file FOR INPUT IN TEXT MODE ENCODING DEFAULT'. is working but unable to read after that using READ DATASET statement.

How to download data into one cell of excel in different lines

Hi All,
My Report downloads data from R/3 to excel. Now one particular field contains multiple lines, which i needs to download into different lines into that particular cell(of excel). how can i do this.
I found one method for this and that is cl_abap_char_utilities=>newline.But this is in abap version 6.0.
But i am working in version 4.6c. do we have any method or anything that meets my requirement in 4.6c.
Please let me know.

why do you split them to the internal table ,then download it?
Is you special field long text?
If is ,you can use FM READ_TEXT to put it into an internal table ,then download it.

Download data from interactive report

Hi all. I'm on apex 3.1.1.00.09.
I have this problem: when I download data from interactive report I can download only in CSV and PDF. If I try to download into pdf it creates a file of only 1 KB.
I would know if I must configure my apex in order to download correctly in pdf and if I must configure it in order to download in doc and xls format.

How to download data into two different columns 2003 excel format in ole

when we download data into excel using ole with delimiter it works fine in 2007 but when we check this with 2003 format
both fields come in only one column .Can any one suggest
CONCATENATE WA_ALL-PERNR LV_ICNUM INTO WA_PERNR SEPARATED BY W_DELI   IN CHARACTER MODE.

If you're already using OLE, you can fill in value for each cell separately instead of using a delimiter. Something like this fragment:
FORM fill_cell USING p_row p_col p_value.
CALL METHOD OF obj_excel 'CELLS' = obj_cell
    EXPORTING
    #1 = p_row
    #2 = p_col.
SET PROPERTY OF obj_cell 'VALUE' = p_value.

You need to copy the data onto your computer and transfer it via that (either via iTunes, or if the app that you want to transfer the data to supports, via wifi). Like the previous reply said, you can't do it directly without a computer being involved.
