Map update makes 'share location' disappear!?

I have a Nokia X6. I used to be able to click 'share location' ("dela plats" in Swedish) in the map section and thus put a link to a map at Facebook so everybody could see where I were.
I just made an update of the maps the other day, and 'share location' is not there anymore. How come?
How do I get it back? It's useful.

Maps doesn't share location to iPhone

I have a MBP running 10.9.2 and when I go to use the Maps app, I can't send a location to my phone. When I select my location, I can go to the share button and select my phone, so I know it sees it. However when I select my phone to send the location to, my phone never gets it. I have an iPhone 5s with iOS 7.1.1. What's more interesting is that I can send a location to my iPad and that works fine. So my phone shows up in the sharing list, I just never recieve the notification on my phone. Any ideas?

Same here, nothing on the phone. So annoying too. Cause you sit there and do all the research on your laptop to find the place, and send to iPhone. Walk out the door and NOTHING! The first time I had to search on the road that sucked. But now every update just hope it works someday...

Latest OS X update makes firewire device disappear!

I applied the latest update to OS X and now it doesn't see my outboard disk drive that's firewire. How can I make it see the device? "About this mac" says unknown firewire bus.

I have upgraded to Mavericks 10.9 and all of my external disk drives, all of which use Firewire, still appear and function normally.

My gps locations are still there after the 3.4.4 to 3.4.5 upgrade, so this is probably not a general problem, but restricted to certain systems. What version did you upgrade from? And what exactly is lost? Places names you added in Aperture? Or gps locations based on gps tracks you added in "Places" view? The list of Places names you edited in "Manage My PLaces"?
If we knew, what exactly is missing now, we could try to recreate the problem you are seeing.
Have you tried to repair the Aperture library after the upgrade?

E5 - unable to update/share location

Hi there
I have the Nokia E5 and have been trying for ages to share my location. After playing around a lot I checked what software updates are available and updated phone and ovi software, so that is up to date. However, everytime I try to share my location I get an error message saying 'unable to update location'. I have no clue why that is and what I need to do to share my location. Perhaps anyone has an idea what I could try in order to solve the problem ?

yes, Ovi as in Ovi maps. I signed up for an account a few days ago and was logged on several times (have never been able to share my location though). Most recently, however, I get an error message saying 'connection failed', apparently it is trying to log me in automatically as soon as I open Ovi maps. I have tried to log on manually and it asks me whether I want to go online and then comes up with the menu where I can chose o2 web, wap services etc. Neither of them seem to work as I get an error message saying 'connection failed'. I can use internet on my phone though, for example facebook.
Tbh I am not entirely sure whether I am able to find my present location - it shows my present location but that might be because I have been searching for it and added it to my favourites. I know that means that Ovi found my location... so I seem to be 'connected'? My A-GPS is enabled, so that should be OK.
I believe I have allowed Ovi to access my facebook. If I click on 'share location settings' it asks me 'go online to use service?', then the facebook link comes up, it tries to log me onto my nokia account and then asks me again to select a connection - whatever I chose the message I get is 'operation failed'.

HT1688 the Apple Maps app won't locate an address, the address is a medical center in gainesville, fl 4037 NW 86th Terrace 32606. i had to google map it in order to find the location... please update addresses on your Maps app... how often are the Maps up

How often does Apple Maps update address locations?? there is an address in Gainesville, Fl it is a health facility as it was priority to locate, the address is 4037 NW 86th Terr, 32606. I had to use my google maps app... it then took me to the correct address and located it no problem. please update at least this address so people in need of health care don't go through the same thing I had to endure...

The satellite imagery on Apple Maps shows that whole area as undeveloped woods. Google shows a brand new building with the nearby streets.
Use the "Report a Problem" button on the Maps to inform Apple of the required update.

Sharing the same account mapping in 2 different locations

I would like to ask about sharing the same mapping in multiple locations. Currently, I have 3 (or more later) locations in FDM. I have a set of account mapping which I would like to maintain it as a master copy and apply this account mapping to all 3 of my locations in FDM. I figured that I need to upload the account mapping everytime switching between locations.
I know that for logic group, I can assign the same logic group to multiple locations by updating the properties in "Locations" under "MetaData".
Is it possible to do the same thing for account mapping? e.g. upload only 1 set of account mapping and assign multiple location to it?

Choose one of the locations and assign it as the Parent location for the other 2 locations on the Locations metadata screen. These locations will then share the mapping of the parent location and you only need to maintain the mappings in the parent location.

Do you get an "Error 5" if so try going to Go to Menu > Settings > Application mgr. > Installed apps and uninstallany of these present: Open C LIBSSL,Open C LIBSSL Patch, OVI Maps Wi-Fi/Network Positioning, PIPS Installer, Share Location Agent, Share Location, Share Location Widget, Standard C++ Library Common, Standard C++ Library Patch, Symbian OS Pipes Upgrade, Symbian OS PIPS Upgrade & Upgrade for OpenC LIBZ Support.
You could post installer log attachment from
c:\data\ovimapsinstaller.txt or c:\ovimapsinstaller.txt (on your device, not your PC) for analysis.

Not able to share location on facebook thorough my Nokia C7. Though im connected all the time on phone through widgets. I have 3 G connection.rest of the stuff works absolutely fine however whenever i try to share the location through ovi maps it givens me error" temporary network problem try again later". I ve checked the connection they all are fine and are set to automatic login too. please suggest

I have got the same issue. I've tried it from several places: at home (over wireless), outside over 3G, at work over Wireless. Always the same error message.
I have got the message for all the social networks. With the fourquare app it worked one time but afterwards the application and phone crashed.
Software 014.002 is installed as firmware on my C7.

OK, it now sort of works. A couple of problems here:
After updating IOS, Safari iCloud was "automatically" switched off
Switching it on had no effect
resetting my iPad automatically switched off safari iCloud again
after switching it back on, it said "turning off safari data"
switched it off and on again, now it said : "turning on safari data" and the sync worked
On IOS 7 no problems
The bookmarks not being displayed was because after pressing the book icon, it defaulted to showing the history and I had to press "Back" to get to the other options

Cant share location in Whatsapp

On my Nokia E7 I can succesfully receive''share location' maps from other phones, even from Android phoned, but I can't upload the to a contact. Even to an other E7 or from another E7 to my device the share location function is not working.
Hopefully there is a solution for this issue.

Maybe GPS satellites signal is low and the phone does not know where are you in that time.
I have a E7 and I can send my position through WhatsApp.

Map Update Why Oh Why is there is never enough mem...

How stupid is map update?
Every time there is an update I am not allowed to do it as their is not enough memory free on C:
However after I uninstall lots of apps and remove maps it will install
Then I re-install all the apps I un-installed and re-download the maps
Can you not make it clever enough to remove the old map app before updating to the new one!

My 5230 has now 25Mb free on the C: drive but still the update claims it runs out of memory. Very annoying, specially since I have next to nothing installed into phone memory. All music, pictures, apps etc. are on the memory card.
The memory status states there's 29Mb worth of "other files" which I have no idea what they might be. Also the current 3.04 version of Maps shows twice in the app list: "Nokia Maps" (7Mb) and "Ovi Kartat" (8Mb). Are both of these needed?
EDIT: After I managed to make 30Mb free space to C: the update finaly went through. This is pretty ridiculous amount since that's nearly half the of 5230 internal memory while the size of the Maps app is still just 8Mb!

Use share located at server without SCCM roles

The scenario is the following: sccm 2012 R2.
2 servers: first one is the server where sccm was installed and is DP too. Second server only is DP.
I need to deploy aditional software which source files are located at third server (without sccm roles).
Problem: When creating additional packages, I use a share located at the third server, and distribute the content to the second server (only DP role), but the package never distribute to the DP (in the sccm console I get an
error).
The question is:
It is possible to use source files located at a server without sccm roles?

Source file access by the site server has nothing to do with the network access account.
Yes, the computer account for the site server must have access to the UNC where the source files are located -- both NTFS and share permissions (as Jörgen mentioned) There's no need to make it a local admin.
Note that the location of the source files has nothing to do with where the clients get those files from; clients always get source files from DPs.

What you mean reset it? Try this, on top right when your logged in to your ovi account, click on that, you get two options, Nokia Account and Check in settings, if you go in check in setting you can pick facebook and either remove the account or change the password if you already changed it on the facebook website, hope this helps.

Network shares keep disappearing

So I have a MacBook Pro connected to my home network via an AirPort Extreme. The AirPort connected to a LAN cable that then goes to my network's switch, router, and modem.. so the AirPort is set to act as a bridge. A couple days ago I mapped a network share (a drive on my server which is a PC) on my Mac. So the drive "Nick" was sitting on my desktop. Then I opened up Quicksilver and told it to catalog "Nick". This all worked.. but then I go on my computer the following day (without turning it off in between) and my network shares have disappeared from my desktop and Quicksilver no longer finds things on "Nick".. Even if I remap the network share Quicksilver can't find anything on it. I've had this problem before with a Mac Mini I used to own.. Why does OS X seem to forget about my network shares after a short period of time? Any help would be great.. Thanks!

It should've fixed it really, but in the past, I've had trouble with Macs "partially Sleeping" after Energy Saver was once used to Sleep it... seemed like some component of the OS still thought it should go through the motions, even though it never was sleeping... at least it appeared that way to me!?
We did restart everthing right?
