Mapping between Business Partner and BDoc type BUPA_MAIN

Hi Experts,
When creating a business partner system automatically generates BUPA_MAIN as its BDoc type.
Can some one please let me know the mapping between business partner and the BDoc type BUPA_MAIN.
I mean to say how BUPA_MAIN(BDoc type) is getting triggered while creating business partner.
Maximum points will be rewarded.
Thanks in advance
Nadh.R

Hi Nadh,
This is done in SMOEAC transaction where you assign the subscription and replication objects.
You go to SMOEAC and select the object type as Subscription and click on display icon and it displays the subscription ALL Business Partners and when you click on this or expand you find publication and when you expand this you find replication objects and against this you find the BUPA_MAIN bdoc type.
Hope this helps and if so please reward points.
Thanks

  • Mapping Between Business Partners and Customers in CRM and ERP

    Hi,
I wanted to know how are the business Partners and Customers replicated from ERP to CRM systems and Vice Versa. I would also want to know how can i check this mapping in the tables.
eg: Get a customer or BP from the ERP system, how do i find it in CRM system.
    Regards,
    Rishav

    Hi Rishav,
    Here is how it works.
The table for customers in ERP is KNA1 and the field for customer number is KUNNR.
In CRM the table CRMM_BUT_CUSTNO contains the mapping between customer number in ERP and the BP GUID
in CRM. The table BUT000 in CRM contains the mapping between BP GUID in CRM and the BP Number
Apart from that the table CRMV_BUPA_CUSTNO contains the mapping between Business Partner Number and Customer.
    Hope this clarifiies your doubt.
    Best Regards,
    Shourav.

  • Difference between Business Partner and Customer in ISU?

Is there any difference between business partner and customer in ISU?
    if yes then wht?

    Hi,
Yes Business Partner is a broad term used in ISU for various roles. A business Partner can be a Customer for company, an employee or even a vendor.
It depends on what role business partner has been given.  Initially by default all Business Partners are assigned a default role "Business Partner (Gen.)". Later it can be changed to any role like Employee, Vendor, etc.
Business Partner with role "Contract Partner" is normally the end Customer which I believe you are referring to.
For more info on Business Partner, please check below link:

  • Difference between Business Partner and Customer Master repository

What is the difference between Business Partner and Customer Master repository ?
Is the Business Partner repository to be used in case CRM is also in landscape ? or Customer master repository is good enough ?
    Sandesh

    Hi,
If the landscape has both CRM and SAP ECC a business partner repository model should be good.
If it has ECC alone.a Customer Repository is needed.
But when there are many legacy systems which also contains master data fields, the standard business repository provided by SAP wont provide a good solution as it wont cover the legacy master fields..In this case its better to go for a customized repository and you can use the standard repository as a reference.
    Thanks

  • Connection between business partner and organisational unit

    Hello,
I have a problem with the account integration in cProjects ( error message: Cost/revenue rate X is not valid in organization 00000000 ) and I think that there could be a problem with the treewalk from the business partner to the organisational unit.
I am using the transaction ppome to customize the organisational unit with the employess. Unfortunately I cannot see this connections when I am using T-Code PPSS to do the treewalk. Does someone know which evaluation path is the correct one for price evaluation?
Is it correct that the connection between the business partner and the organisational unit is:
employee <-> bp <-> org. unit? What is a good starting point to search for the gap between this chain?
When and what for is cProjects treewalking for the price? What calculation is cProj doing with it?
    Thanks in advance,
      Vanessa

The problem is solved due an incorrect business partner. So the question is obsolet, thx.

  • Difference between Business partner and user

    Hi,
When you Define a position under a Organization Unit & under the position, do we assign a User or a Business partner, what is the difference them.
    Please give me some idea?
    Rgds
    Eliz

    Hi Eliz,
the most common approach is to create a businesspartner from type employee (ROLE = BUP003). Within this businesspartner please assign the User-ID (transaction BP - tab "Identification").
Afterwards assign this businesspartner to your position in transaction PPOMA_CRM.
If you do it like this the user is also assigned to the position.
The businesspartner itself is needed if you create transactions in CRM, for example "responsible Employee" of an opportunity.
If you have more questions please ask.
    Kind regards
    Manfred

  • Difference between Business Partner (General) and Contract Partner

    Hi,
How is a business partner different from a contract partner with respect to IS-U?
    Thanks
    C

    General Business Partner:
The general business partner is only stored for information purpose.
    Contract Partner
A contract partner is linked to the company through contract accounts and contracts. This makes
you to possible to allocate contract account to a business partner and bill for services if the
business partner was created with the role contract partner.
Please Allot points if it helps
Please let me know if you need any more clarifications on this.

  • What is the difference between Business System and Business Service?

    Hi
Please tell me what is the difference between Business System and Business Service...? In real time at what situation we will use Business System and in what situations we will use Business Service..? Please help me
    Best Regards
    Ravi Shankar B

    HI,
    Business system:
If you want to address a particular business system as the sender or receiver of messages, choose this service type.
A business system is an actual application system in a system landscape. A business system (service) comprises information about the inbound and outbound interfaces and the software component versions of the business system.
You usually use business system services when configuring internal company processes.
    Business Service:
If you want to address an abstract business entity as the sender or receiver of messages, choose this service type.
Using a business service, you can define the technical or business subunits of the companies involved and then assign them the relevant interfaces.
You usually use business services when configuring cross-company processes. In this case, you only make your interfaces known to the business partners involved and either do not make any details about your own system landscape available, or only specific details.
For example, you can define RosettaNet Partner Interface Processes (PIPs) as business services.
    Regards,
    Sudheer.

kindly explian...or mail me any documention related to
E-recruitment to my id [email protected]
    Looking for a immediate reply
    Regards,
    Raghav

Role - is the same as the concept of role in R3. SAP Delivers some pre confogured authorisation profiles for some standard roles.
Roles are assigned to user depending on the client's requirement.
Business Partner is the same as BP in CRM. basically, the following will be BPs in ur system:
Each independent user of the recruitment process - as BP Branch.
All third party recruitment vendors as BP Type Agency.
All employees will also be BP in the system.
    All external applicants.
You can create internet user using the t code SU05. You can also use the R3 sytem user credentials to log on to the url application by configuring the system to use the SAP login. (this is done thru t code SICF)
    Hope this helps.

  • DIFFERENCE BETWEEN iDOC MESSAGING AND bDOC MESSAGING

    hI
gurus what is the diffrence between idoc messaging and bdoc messaging?
    K. Mangalum

    Hi Kumara,
    BDOC:
Container of business data that belongs together, for example customer, contact person, order or activity. This means that it contains all required information for a business process. The technical representation of a BDoc type is completely independent. There are many possible representations for a BDoc type.
For example, a BDoc type can be represented as follows:
as a collection of internal ABAP table structures (on the CRM Server),
by ADO record sets (on mobile clients),
as an XML form (for non-SAP systems), or,
    as an IDoc.
Therefore a BDoc type is a semantic collection of business data and not a syntactical description.
There are three classes of BDoc types:
BDoc types exclusively used for mobile applications
They consist of a hierarchical data segment structure with assignment to database tables.
BDoc types for synchronization between the consolidated database in the CRM Server and mobile applications
They consist of a hierarchical segment structure with assignment to database tables.
BDoc types exclusively used for non-mobile applications
    They consist of:
a hierarchical segment structure with no assignment to database tables,
additional data (complex data type modeled in the ABAP Dictionary)
Standard BDoc types are provided by SAP. Additional BDoc types can be modeled by customers.
    Idoc:
IDOC: An intermediate document, container for exchanging data between R/3 and other SAP and non-SAP applications. Structured collection of segments. Segments are structured collection of data elements.
    General Structure
IDocs contain administration information for technical processing, as well as the actual application data, which is stored in segments. A segment comprises segment fields as the smallest unit of the IDoc - comparable with the data elements from the EDIFACT standard.
In the SAP System, the processing status ("what has happened to the IDoc before now?") is stored in the IDoc status information. The status information also contains details about errors and indicates the data in which the error occurred. This status information is not forwarded as part of the IDoc but separately using "status processing".
    IDoc types (special structure)
An IDoc type is defined through its permitted segments. Segments can be dependent on each other (parent and child segments). For example, segment E1EDPT1 (document item text identification) is a child segment of segment E1EDP01 (document item data, general) in IDoc type EXPINV01 (export billing) and a child segment of E1EDP07 (order data shipping notification) in IDoc type DESADV01 (shipping notification). The segment, therefore, is used in several contexts and is the "child" of several "parents".
CRM Bdoc and IDoc are both persisted data structures.
Idoc works on a particular technology called ALE and is used for data exchange between two R/3 systems

  • Difference between Business system and Business service.

    Hi All,
Can any one explain in detail difference between Business system and Business service.
As we commonly say, Business service is for those system which are not in our landscape.
Can any one explain in which particular scenarios we will go for Business Service.
    Reg
    Bapuraj

    Hi Bapuraj,
    Business System
Business system is a logical system, and there is an importance on physical existence of the system. Also SLD entry is required.
It is generally used for SAP applications, this is just a general prinicple followed but not mandatory.
    Business Component(formerly Service)
You use a Business Component, when you do not have the System details of the the partner system to which you want to communicate. i.e. you have not configured the partner system in SLD.
Business Service is an Absract Unit with Sender and Receiver Interfaces,In this case you need to explicitly add the message interfaces while doing configuration in ID.
It is generally used for NON-SAP applications, this is just a general prinicple followed but not mandatory.
