It looks you are new to PI,
you have to develop scenario end to end, by creating source data type and target data type(if you have XSD's not required),then use Graphical mapping (message mapping) to map source and target structures.
Search in sdn for one end to end scenario you will understand easily

You got it completely wrong and dont jump into conclusions directly .
PCUI Applications & IC WebClient are different BSP applications and have completely different architecture.
Get some online help or cookbooks on both topics and read the books.

Mapping between Sales Order-Schedule-Line and Delivery-item

Hi together,
I want to extend the Datasource 2LIS_12_VCITM (Delivery-number, -item, Order-number,-item is available) by Sales Order Schedule Line.
Could not find any ERP table (VBEP and LIPS allow a mapping only on item level) for the mapping between Sales Order Schedule Line and Delivery item yet. The use of the extractor 2LIS_12_VCSCL for the extention (e.g. infoset) afterwards is no option.

Hi Ventak,
In the infocube you have the key. Then you have a text master data table that has as key (for the table) the key of the value (the one in the cube) and the language, and the text in that language as another field (short, med, long).

               3.5 and Now BI 7 are some of the versions.
Major difference between BW3.5 and BI 7.0 versions:
1. In Info sets now you can include Infocubes as well.
2. The Remodeling transaction helps you add new key figure and characteristics and handles historical data as well without much hassle. This is only for info cube.
3. The BI accelerator (for now only for Infocubes) helps in reducing query run time by almost a factor of 10 - 100. This BI accelerator is a separate box and would cost more.
4. The monitoring has been improved with a new portal based cockpit. Which means you would need to have an EP guy in ur project for implementing the portal.
5. Search functionality hass improved!! You can search any object. Not like 3.5
6. Transformations are in and routines are passé! Yes, you can always revert to the old Tcodes.
7. The *Data Warehousing Workbench *replaces the Administrator Workbench.

Take the memory card out of the camer and put it in a card reader. When it mounts on the desktop select it and try to change the name. However, that might make it incompatible with the camera. You'll just have to try and see.

thats the problem, its in MSDos (Fat) or NTFS for Windows.
Options.....
1. offload all that data on the HD onto your PC, THEN format the HD in EXFAT for use on BOTH PC and Mac for read/write.....then reload all (or as you need) that data back onto the HD
2. get another HD, and format it for Mac OSX extended journaled.
FAT32 (File Allocation Table)
Read/Write FAT32 from both native Windows and native Mac OS X.
Maximum file size: 4GB.
Maximum volume size: 2TB
You can use this format if you share the drive between Mac OS X and Windows computers and have no files larger than 4GB.
NTFS (Windows NT File System)
Read/Write NTFS from native Windows.
Read only NTFS from native Mac OS X
To Read/Write/Format NTFS from Mac OS X, here are some alternatives:
For Mac OS X 10.4 or later (32 or 64-bit), install Paragon (approx $20) (Best Choice for Lion)
Native NTFS support can be enabled in Snow Leopard and Lion, but is not advisable, due to instability.

Doubt reg the Info Cubes

Hello, Experts.
I few Doubts Regading, Cubes.
We have a cube which is getting Loaded from APO Every day. Now business has asked us to Chage the Data Source for Few Key fig and they want
few more char and they have removed few Char which are not really used for this Key fig.
In this case shall i use the same cube and create a new Data Source ,Info source,Update Rule /or/ go and Create a New cube?
they want few Key fig from the Old Data Source and Few from new Data Source.
and few Char are same in both the data Source. like Division, Sales Org, Customer, new char are Flavours, region, .... which are not in the existing cube.
Please Suggest me.

The general rule of thumb is if it is similar kind of data, and you are just adding few additional chars/key figures, it is better to just change the existing cube. One the other hand, if the data from the new data source is different, it is better to create a new cube. For example, if you have Plan data in a cube at the WBS level and the requirement is to now load the Plan data for the activity/actiity element, I would just add the activity/element to the existing cube. Instead, the requirement is to now add the Actual data, I would create a new cube and report off of the multi-provider.
Also, you mentioned that the data from the new source will not have some of the existing charactersitics populated, in that case your cube will be sparsely populated for the new data source.
Think about the volume too. If the volume from the new source is big it is better to create a new cube. This will be better in terms of maintenance.. For some reason, if you have to drop just the new data and reload and if they are in separate cubes, it is a lot easier. Otherwise, it puts a restriction on compression, etc.
I would say, consider several different factors like, data relevancy, how many new char/key figures, data volume, load restrictions, reporting requirement before you decide.

How to find the activity of the Info cubes or any other Info Provider

Hello everyone,
Is there anyway to find out the last activity date of the info cube or any other info provider?
One way is through tools--> Statistics for BI (But this is not working as I do not have enough authorizations in the office)
So, can anyone please give me a way to know the last activity date of all the Info Provider so that respective action can be taken on the Info Provider according to their usage.?
I also need the Procedure to know the activity of the queries also?

Hi,
Are you looking actvity related to (Data retrival or data load)? (When the last time data loaded in Info provider or when the last time query is executed on that Info provider)?
If this is your requirement then BI statistics is only way to find out so get the authorization for the same.
If your need is -- last changed/llast data load etc.. then you may check the option "last changed at" at in Info provider maintinence, and data load dates.

Mac OS X doesn't come with iLife applications, so you have to install them manually after installing Mac OS X.
Insert the Applications disc or Mac OS X Install Disc 2 DVD and install iLfe applications. Then, open  > Software Update, and install the latest update. If you want, you can purchase iMovie, GarageBand and iPhoto in the App Store, so you will get the most recent version

I can not seem to grasp the difference between Asset Intelligence 09x reports and reports in the Software Metering folder. Do they extract conclusions based on the same data and which data are those? I also have come to notice that there are occasional dicrepancies
between them. Why would this be?

1. Software metering allows you to create a rule and meter application usage very granular, when it is started, how many times , how long it has been used e.t.c, Asset intellegence doesn't require you to create any rules it will only inventory start/stop
so you can get reports like "all computers that hasn't started a application in x days".
2.It depends on the license agreement for that application, but yes you can get how many has started a specific application within a timeframe.

You can copy the iWeb application from the desktop machine to your new MBA. But if it's iWeb 2 it won't work with Mavericks or Mt. Lion. Also copy the Domain.sites file from the desktop to your MBA as that's the file with your webstite files in it.
