Mapping error : BaseRuntimeException / Fatal

Hi XI experts,
I'm working on a very very simple File to File Scenario SAP XI 3.0 (SP16).
When using a simple SAP XI graphical mapping i'd create, i get fatal error :
com/sap/xi/tf/_ZEBE_FILE1_TO_INVERT_FILE1_ a
com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException was thrown: Fatal
Error:com.sap.engine.lib.xml.parser.Parser~
=> I tried this :
1 - no mapping => OK. File created.
2 - with mapping - Adapter : binary File Type => KO.
3 - with mapping - Adapter : Text File Type + ISO-8859-1 File Enconding => KO.

I tried to post the XML in the http page without the header and now it it showing a new error

Mapping error in Synchronous scenario

Hi,
When I try to send a test message from RWB for a Synchrnous scenario (SOAP-XI-SOAP), I am getting the following error message from the "response" mapping. Please note that I am only showing first few lines of the error log.
Did any body come across this error ?

Michal,
1.I checked the mappings and looks every thing good to me.
2. Regarding the flag in SXMB_MONI for sending I have the "log version" icon and for the response I have "System error- Restart not possible flag".
3.For the HMI destination, I see the HTTP status code as 200 instead of 500. So I am trying to look into this if this is effecting.
Based on these and the "HTTP ERROR: 500 service not found
" error in SXMB_MONI, I think this might be due to the no response from the web services.
Please let me know your comments.

Mapping Error - XML Parser Exception

We have a scenario where an ABAP Client Proxy sends a message to PI. This message is transformed into the mail package format and an email sent via the mail adapter.
The Interface Mapping has 2 steps. The 1st step uses an XSL transformation to format the <Content> as html. This step also sets the <Subject>, <To> and <Content_Type> fields. The 2nd step uses a graphical message mapping to dynamically set the <From> field based on the sender system.
We are experiencing the following intermittent error with this scenario:

The message trace provides the following detail
<Trace level="1" type="T">com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException: Fatal Error: com.sap.engine.lib.xml.parser.ParserException: XMLParser: Entity 'lt' undefined(:main:, row:3, col:227) at com.sap.aii.mappingtool.tf3.Transformer.checkParserException
This suggests that the XML produced by the XSL transformation is invalid.
The strange thing is that it is very difficult to replicate the error as it doesn't always occur even with the same payload! If the message is restarted it processes successfully. Testing the interface mapping in the IR, with the same payload, works successfully.
I would welcome any ideas you may have on this.

Hi Mark,
thing i know now why it works at "restart".
When the message comes first you get the character '<' in your xml for example: '&<(0'
and you get the ParserException.
Now the message is stored for queueing in the db. I assume the characters are now stored in the 'right way': '&amp;&lt;(0'
When the message now will be restarted everything works fine.

Request Message Mapping - error

Scenario :
Flat file => File adapter => XI 2.0 => IDoc => SAP
The adapter picks up the file, sends it to Integration Engine. In the Monitoring tool, the following are fine : Inbound Message, Receiver determination, Interface determination, Technical routing, Receiver grouping, Message split.

to the first problem:
Do you get the same error, if you test the mapping in the Integration Builder:Design? I mean, you can download the XML instance which is entered into the Message
Mapping zMsgMap in the Integration Engine Monitor (R/3 Transaction SXMB_MONI) and use this XML in the test environment of the Message Mapping in the Integration Builder:Design.
to the second problem:
It looks like that the Message Mapping xMsg_mapping could not be found by the Integration Engine. You can try to reactivate the Message Mapping in the Integration Builder. This is done for example by changing the description of the corresponding Message Mapping object and saving and activating the object.

Message Mapping error: RuntimeException in Message-Mapping transformation

Hi,
Being new to XI, I am struglling to sort out a basic mapping error. Appreciate if you could help out.
Its an File->XI->R/3 scenario.
My FCC successfully reads the File and creates an XML. However this XML is not transferred to the target XML structure which is exactly same except the root element name is different at top.
I tried various forum tips but I still am getting the error.
( When I Test the Message mapping in test mode..it seems fine, however if I copy the XML from SXMB_MONI, it then throws the above error)
I looked at the MM in text mode: below is the extract

Hi Prakasu,
As structure are exactly same, I have done 1:1 mapping. So all the fields in target structure are mapped, so no field has beeen left.
In this structure, I do not have any 1:n relation. So 1:1 mapping should be fine.
Apart from this could teher be any other reason.

MAPPING ERROR with IDOC

Hi Friends,
I am working on IDOC to JDBC scenario. Here i am using DEBMAS06 IDOC . when i tried to trigger an IDOC from BD12 T code its triggering an idoc but when i see it in MONI of XI, its giving mapping error. when i test my mapping program its executing successfully. even i tried to execute with the incoming data in the sxmb_moni, i mean that i filles my mapping test with the same data coming into MONI by filling all the segments coming into XI its executing successfully in mapping test.
but when i tried to trigger an idoc from we19 or from bd54 i am facing this error. can any one please let me know what else i can do for running this scenario. let me know your comments.

File to idoc mapping error

I am mapping a flat file to idoc in xi. If I execute the test data it works fine. But in actual run, it gave me the following mapping error:

Hi Jassi,
This may be a mapping issue, try this:
a)in interface mapping see if grids are formed at source and target after executing the test option,
b)also take the xml of the idoc from sxmb_moni , copy it and paste it at the source of the mapping ( use the src tab now) and execute the mapping, is your file structute formed?

XI Flat File to JDBC Mapping Error

Hi,
I have been trying to insert some records from a flat file into a sybase database using the FILE adapter (with file content conversion) as a sender and the JDBC adapter as a reciever, but I keep getting mapping errors like:
RuntimeException during appliction Java mapping com/sap/xi/tf/_mm_hh_file__hh_sybase_nombres_</Trace>
<Trace level="1" type="T">com.sap.aii.utilxi.misc.api.BaseRuntimeException: RuntimeException in Message-Mapping transformation: Cannot produce target element /ns0:mt_hh_sybase_nombres/STATEMENTNAME. Check xml instance is valid for source xsd and target-field mapping fulfills requirements of target xsd at com.sap.aii.mappingtool.tf3.AMappingProgram.start
I have read through some blogs and I still can't figure out what is wrong.
Flat pipe separated file:
Hans|Robert|Hahn|Gallegos
Karina|Maria|Cordoba|Gutierrez
Datatype for this file looks like this:

Because the FILE adapter uses Content conversion, the file translates to:

How do I do the mapping ? I've been through a lot of blogs and threads but I haven't found an example like this, a flat pipe separeted multiline file with records to be inserted in a database.

Hans,
The error shows you have an error in mapping. Also you have mapped constant for ACTION and TABLE. Here you have to hardcode the value INSERT or UPDATE etc for ACTION and the name of the table for TABLE.

Also once when you are done with mapping try to execute it in the test tab of mapping editor.

Mapping error: Character reference "&# 00" is an invalid XML character

Hi All,
Iam performing the RFC(R/3) -> PI(7.1) -> SOAP (third party software) ; Synchronous scenario.
The messages are reaching the PI server , but the a mapping errors is occurring due to dummy characters ""& #00" been sent to the XI system.
Is this due to the R/3 sending the invalid characters or these been generated in PI system. Would you suggest any notes,patches to resolve the issue?

Mapping error in PI 7.1

Hi All,
When i am trying to create a new mapping or coyping the existing mapping(which is already activated) , i am not able to activate the mapping . I am getting the following error :
Source text of object Message Mapping: new |
urn:abc:MessageOut has syntax errors: Source code has syntax error:
Source strcuture and everything is perfect as i had created previous mapping using the same source structure.
Please advice as to what might be the issue here and what is the solution.

In each and every mapping which is already avialble in IR and the new ones that i am trying to create ...i am getting the followin exception throughout if press F7 in the mapping ...as a result u cant actiavte any changes in the existing mapping nor in the new mapping

Strange Data Mapping Errors after SEM 6 Upgrade. Please assist.

Hi All, I encountered these sudden Mapping errors after I tried to do Testing in Post Upgrade Sand Box. Here I am trying to to perform Collected Reported Financial Data under Data Collection Method for a particular Company Code 3040. Kindly help me with some quick responses as this is kind of high priority. The errors and the Diagnosis Notes I am unable to follow as I do not where I shall write those Mapping Rules they are referring to. I do not even know if that need to apply any SAP Notes as such. Input conversion for field Period Value LC has invalid format Message no. UCT8210 Diagnosis The mapping rule for target field Period Value LC contains a move with a selected Input Conversion indicator. Therefore, the system performs an input conversion prior to creating the target data. However, an error in the input conversion occurred while moving the source key figure to the target key figure Period Value LC. This means that the format used for the input conversion is incompatible with the target data. System Response The system will not perform the move. Procedure Examine the mapping rule for field Period Value LC. Either select the Conversion Exit indicator or deselect the Input Conversion indicator. Execute the method again. -
3040 is incompatible with input format for field /1FB/COMPANY Message no. UCT8258 Diagnosis During execution, the method derives the source selection for source field /1FB/COMPANY from the mapping rule for the target field. 3040 is one of the values that were derived for the source selection. The system requires that this value is in the correct SAP-internal format because the Conversion Exit indicator has been selected in the move operator for field /1FB/COMPANY. However, the value 3040 is incompatible with the SAP-internal format. System Response The system attempts to interpret value 3040 as an external format and convert it to the internal format. If this fails, the system is unable to restrict the source selection using source field /1FB/COMPANY. In this case, the system may read more source data than was originally intended, which can affect performance. Procedure In the log, choose the Source button to display the source selections that are used to read the source data. When this appears, examine values selected for field /1FB/COMPANY. If the correct values were selected, you can ignore this message. To prevent this message from being issued, you can select the indicator in the mapping rule used by source field /1FB/COMPANY. If incorrect values were selected, make sure that the mapping rule used by source field /1FB/COMPANY has been defined correctly. If the mapping rule is correct and value (3040) derived for the source selection does not affect the overall result, you can ignore this message. Hi Dan,
Could you Kiindly advise me where we need to write the Mapping Rules in Consolidation Monitor? All he time the errors refering to Mapping Rules. The only Tab I seen "Mapping" is in Data Basis But as per my Understanding Iwe do not have much to do there as it is system generated Mapping Tab.
Where we actually go and select/deselct those Input Conversion Indicator/ Conversion exit Indicator.

Java.util.EmptyStackException Mapping error

Hi All,
I am integrating SAP ECC 6.0 system with SAP SNC.
For these i am using standard content of SAP SNC
I am getting following mapping error :
TransformerConfigurationException occurred when loading XSLT InvoiceRequest_InvoicInvoic01_01.xsl; details: Could not load stylesheet.com.sap.engine.lib.xml.util.NestedException: Error parsing query. -> java.util.EmptyStackException

check the interaface mapping which is used in your flow
inside integration repository - is it working over there?
do you see the XSL file in the external archives in repository?
