Dear Experts,
I have created transaction code for SAP GUI HTML for a custom report program developed in SE38.
We have created a URL iView in Websphere enterprise portal. The Transaction executing well and there are no issues.
But the SAP GUI HTML uses SAP Standard theme. I wanted to change the input field background color which is similar to our portal theme.
Please let me know , how to change the theme of the standard SAP GUI for HTML.

Mass change: iViews Properties (gui type, alias,..)

to get the read/write version of the Pcd Inspector please do the following:
- log in with your SAP user to SDN
- navigate to: Home -> Enterprise Portal (click on the Enterpris Portal node text of the "Developers Areas" detail navigation so that an additional entry "EP Content" appears in the detail navigation)
- click on the submenu "Portal Content Portfolio" of the "EP Content"
- On the page that appears then you will find a link "Browse Content Portfolio" in the upper right corner. Please click on this link.
- On the page that appears then you will find different links for "Every User", "Line Manager" and "Specialist". Please click on the "Other" link of the "Specialist"
- On the page that appears then you will find three tab strips: "SAP Content(...)", "Vendor Content(...)", "SAP Exchange(...)". Please click on the "SAP Exchange(...)" tab.
-> on the page that appears then you will find the download of the read/write PCD Inspector tool.

I have added a new set type to the view General for my product. However, it is not visible PC UI. Is there any generation i need to do for this to be visible in PC UI? I am working on BBPCRM 500.

SAP GUI 7.20 PL7 - How to change the default Start Menu shortcuts location

I would like to change the SAP GUI shortcuts .lnk file location in the start menu.
Example. The shortcuts to be installed to Start Menu > Production > SAP Front End > SAP Logon

I am trying to create a package with SAP Installation Server Admin tool and need to change the shortcut locations when the package is installed.
By default nwsapsetup.exe /package="xyz"
installs all shortcuts to start menu > programs > sap front end
in Windows XP.
I want this to be in Start Menu > Production > SAP Front End
I need to deloy the package to Windows XP.
COuld you pls help?

SAP GUI for Windows

I am trying to have SAP UWL Tasks open in the SAP GUI for Windows instead of the SAP GUI for HTML. I have created new folders "Customization"->"Universal Worklist" and created delta linked copies of all the iViews found in "Portal Users"->"Standard Portal Users"->"Universal Worklist".
Then I went to the System Administration->System Configuration->Universal Worklist & Workflow-> Universal Worklist-Administration->Optional Universal Worklist Service Configuration and changed the "Path to the UWL iViews to the pcd location of the new folder (portal_content/com.myl.custom/com.myl.uwl).
Then I opened the UWL - Launch SAP Transaction iView (my delta linked copy) and changed the SAP GUI Type to "SAP GUI for Windows".
I thought this was all I needed to do but when I open an SAP task from the UWL it opens the same as it did before - I see no difference at all. Any help is appriciated and rewarded.

I just noticed that the XML content for the configuration has the SAPIACLauncher as the handler instead of the SAPTransactionLauncher...
So Now I have created a new configuration with each transaction is set similar to this:

SAP GUI 6.4 with Windows XP

We have installed an application that uses Bapis with RFC.
The customer has installed SAP GUI 6.4 Patch level 14 and had Windows 2000 and our application run fine.
Now they have changed to SAP GUI 6.4 Patch Level 14 and Windows XP and as soon as we try to use BAPI's our application fails.
has somebody an idea which patch level we should install to avoid such problems?
The file librfc32.dll has the version 6404.4.xxx

SAP GUI 7.40/Blue Crystal Theme/NWBC 5.0

Hi All,
I recently upgraded my SAP GUI to 7.40 (which includes NWBC 5.0). I initially downloaded SAP GUI 7.40 and had many issues (Which it seems like everyone else had as well, but almost all of the issues that I experienced were fixed with the first patch.) I also updated NWBC 5.0 to patch level 3 which fixed an issue I saw with systems with router strings.
I love the tabbed browsing with NWBC 5.0 as well as the favorites area for quick navigation.
What are your thoughts on the new Blue Crystal Theme? Is anyone seeing any issues with this new theme? I saw an issue with theme originally with missing buttons, but those all seem to have been resolved. What are some of the other issues anyone is seeing?
I have also read about being able to open NWBC within the GUI itself, but unfortunately due to my setup being linked to a sandbox which does not have Single Sign On (SSO) setup, this piece did not work for me. Has anyone else been able to setup this functionality? I would love to hear additional feedback on it.
Feel free to comment with other functionality that you like with the upgrade to SAP GUI 7.40/NWBC 5.0.

I just downloaded SAP GUI 7.40 Patch Level 2 this morning. Looks like SAP changed up the look of the Blue Crystal Theme even more to match up with the Fiori theme. Here is a screenshot of the new look in transaction PA30 and you can compare to my original message above to see the changes.

SAP Gui 730 issue with crobu theme

Hello Frineds, Our developer team is facing some strange issue. They are able using corbu theme in SAP GUI 720. but after the new SAP GUI 730 implementaion, they are not able to use this theme. As far as one can understand, it's a rendering problem with SAP GUI 730.
This can also be compatibility issue with your kernel and application.
I would suggested you to check all above options.

Changing the label of a field in SAP GUI

Hello SAP Guys,
I would like to change the label of a field in SAP GUI.
I already did it internally because for that field the Shor Text of the label changed:
I went to SE11, and wrote down the appropriate data element, through Translation I changed the entries of SCRTEXT_L, SCRTEXT_M and SCRTEXT_S and activated this change after saving.
It is very strange that after making sure that the
Short Text of that field was changed, I went to trx BP and I could see that the label didn´t change.
I´ll appreciate any help you can give me,

Hi Efrain,
Can you tell me in which screen did you make the screen.
Moreover the changes are not reflected immediately.
What you can try is to create a new record of the transaction in which you changed the label and save the recore. After this try to close the session and reopen the transaction and this should work.
The reason is the label on the screen are not picked up from the data element everytime but from buffer. So when you create a record this updates the database table entry and can also refresh the buffer.
I had the same problem in BP transaction and the above solution worked.

We want do distribute the SAP GUI with help of the Installationserver. This works fine now but we want to distribute the SAP GUI with an other Default Theme. So I like to know if there is any possibility to do this? This setting must be saved anywhere, but I dont know where.

1) Try deleting tha actual LOGO from trx SMW0 table and Check the file name of the new LOGO and call it with another file name different from previous and Import the new file.
2) Check also the file name trx SM30 table SSM_CUST that must be the new file name.

Insert Button on SAP GUI Logon Screen

is it possible to insert a button on the SAP GUI logon screen like the "new password" button?
We want to insert a button, with which the user can generate a new initial password, if he has forgotten his password.

Well, I'd propose to leave the SAPGUI screen untouched but only place a comment on the logon screen (see [note 205487|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/205487]) which informs the user on a URL to a web application (BSP) which provides the desired "forgotten password" self-service functionality.
In the internet you find many examples of such "forgotten password" self-services - good ones and not so good ones. What all of them have in common is the requirement that the user has provided a valid email address or mobile number (during the account registration) which can be used for the required off-band communication. However they differentiate in the way they try to mitigate misuse: some prompt for a so-called passphrase (in most cases: the user has entered a free-text answer to a question chosen from a fixed set of predefined questions, during accoutn registration) before sending a newly created password to the email address retrieved from the user account; others generate a (random) "password change token" which they send to the email address and prompt the user to enter this "password change token" on the webpage (the account remains untouched until the correct "password change token" was entered, in most cases this is also time-restricted). I prefer the latter one.

Service Desk - need IB52 iBase "partner assignment" mass change

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
We are using SAP Service Desk in Solution Manager 7.0 EhP-1.
There are many satellite systems connected to SolMan using Service Desk.
Of course all of them are setup in SMSY, have a valid iBase entry in IB52, and have the "sold-to-party" assigned in IB52 -> Goto -> Partner.
Now we need to assign a new business partner as "sold-to-party" for all these systems.
We do not want to rename the current business partner, but have to assign a new business partner to not influence existing tickets.
Thus, manually we would need to go to IB52 and change the partner assignment in IB52 -> Goto -> Partner and enter a new value for all the systems.
Q: is there a way to perform a mass change for the "sold-to-party" partner assignment of the iBase entries? Is it possible to update or replace all or multiple existing partner assignments in iBase?

Can you please tell me how did you create iBase for NON-SAP Systems? I know it is IB51/IB52? I am not sure what do you do after that? For an example I went to IB51 and create iBase number 403? now I go to IB52 and put the 403 in the installed Base field and click on Green arrrow to go inside correct? what do I do after that? where is the options to create the iBase name call "Network Group" ?
How did you solve your issue for not showing when you went to F4 in NOTIF_CREATE? was that authorization error? if yes, do you know the object name?
