could you tell me how can i do the Mass chnge of the buckflush in workcenter and material master to make automatic goods issue or consumption of the component used in Production Orders
Dear Hani,
Use T Code MM17 to do mass change for the field backflush in the material master and in the case of work center you can set or
remove the indicator for the backflush only manually.
Also Remove the check box from include all components in OPK4 for the order type so that the system does not set the backflush
indicator.

Replication of Customer and Material master from R/3 to CRM
Hi
Recently in our quality server basis administrator has made a client copy from production server after that customer master and material master are not flowing from R/3 to CRM, even sales orders were not getting copied from CRM to R/3 , i went through C71 BB config document and fixed the sales orders updation from CRM to R/3 but not able to resolve the problem of customer master and material master from ECC to CRM.
I went to B09 BB document and all settings are fine.
Using R3AS I have loaded following objects DNL_CUST_PROD0, PROD1, PROD3, SPROD , DNL_PLANT. and Material.
I went to R3AM1 and checked the status as running or wait for each object.
There are no filters in R3AC1 .
Queue name withR3AD_MATERIA0000000001 has status SYSFAIL in SMQ2 .
What can i do to resolve this problem.

After the client copy , have you run txn:BDLS in order to change the LOGSYS in all relevant tables?
You can run this txn in test mode as well to see the affected tables.
Are you getting any dump on these load ?Check it in txn:ST22.

<b>Material master for finished ggods is related with SD, MM & PP departments</b>. If you carefully go through the various screens in MM record you will realize the importance of the respective fields and the department to which they belong.
<b>1.Suppose Base unit of measure</b> in Basic data 1 screen. The production people will keep the stock of the item using this UOM.
<b>2. In Sales:Sales Org.1</b> screen we have sales unit in which we will sell the material.
<b>3. Then we have the plant</b> data in which we enter the delivering plant. Also the taxes are determined from the plant so we have the settings for taxes also - whether this material is fully taxable/50% tax/Tax exempted.
<b>4. Then we have purchasing</b> screen in which the data like the purchasing group, variable units,etc are entered. This will effect the purchasing cycle when we are procuring a material from outside. This is related to MM.
<b>5. The we have MRP</b>, this is related to PP as to how to manufacture the product, the MRP type, the strategy group - whether it is MTO/MTS like that.
<b>5. Sales:Sales Org.2 screen</b> - Here we mainatin the account assignment group which is very important as far as the generation of the accounting document is concerned. This triggers the system where to post the value in which G/L account. Accounting document is generated when we create the invoice in VF01 & save it.
<b>6. Work scheduling</b> - Related with the sceduling of the production as to whether underdelivery or overdelivery is allowed, the storage location
<b>7. Quality</b> - Here you can select for a particular finished item where where it has to be checked for quality during its journey from the raw material stage to the finished goods store as a finished item.
<b>8. Accounting</b> - Related to accounting, product costing, total value of the stock in hand, etc. Also related with FI & PP
So all the screens have data which effects one or more modules for the proper functioning of the system to give the optimum results.
<b>Industry Sector:</b>
Key that specifies the branch of industry to which the material is assigned.
<b>Use</b>
When you create a material master record, the industry sector you specify determines
1. which screens appear and in what order
2. which industry-specific fields appear on the individual screens
<b>Screens for Sales:</b>
Sales:Sales Org.1, Sales:Sales Org.2. But other screens also have data which is related to sales. You cannot just maintain the sales views and save the master. It has to be properly linked with the other modules also for the proper functioning of the system. That is why the system is called as "Enterprise Resource Planning" You have to paln the resources of your company and these resources are related with all the modules.

go to tcode dc10 select the documnet type, click on define object link. click on new entry, select VBAP object for sales order and MARA for material master.

Yes Business area has a link with MMR
Business area determination is through by three rules
1. Plant and item division
2. Sales area( sales orgdistribution channeldivision )
3. Sales org, distribution channel and item division
Here item division means the division in MMR that is basic data 1 tab and sales org 1 tab
This division field forms the main link between Business area and MMR

Valuation Area and Material master
Dear All,
Can anyone explain the relation between Valuation Area and Material Master.
According to my knowledge,Plant has relation with Material master.
SAP recommends Plant to be Valuation Area.

Valuation Area is the level at which u need ur Material to be valuated .
V have 2 options as :
1> Company Code
2> Plant
SAP recomends aat Plant level.
If u Company code is used then the Material is valuated at same price across whole company.
The decission of Valuation Area has to be done at configuration level.
And once done , it should not be changed ..............as SAP states

Difference between profit center in OKB9 and material master
Hello,
I have a small doubt over here in the profit center point of view.
We have created profit center 1200 and assigned the same in material master. Now while doing PO system threws error message like "Account 5005115 requires an assignment to a CO object Message no. KI235". To eliminate this error i have assigned Cost element(1001125) and Profit center(1200) in TC: OKB9, now system is able to post everything fine.
Here the issue " If i can change profit center in the material master say ex: 1201, system picks from the material master only then why assigned in the OKB9? while doing MIRO system updated in the 1201 profit center".
Could anybody update me why we need to assigned profit center in OKB9 and Material Master?

This is about co.code level field status and Transaction level field status. In OKB9 transaction profit center is maintained and it is getting picked up.
As per SAP if any transaction level field status is maintained it will overwrite the co.code level field status.
So, here when you are giving the input of Profit center in the material master itself it is overwritting the co. code level field of profit center. If nothing is given in material master, then by default OKB9 level profit center will be picked up.

Not getting the Link between GEIL and material type: procured material not

Some material corresponding to certain G/L Account numbers are not appearing. From Fagll03 I can check the G/L Account number, but how shall be able to get the corresponding table field which holds the material or to check whether that G/L Account number has been properly linked to the material.
Please suggest what to do. Is this a problem of programming ? or ...

Link b/n GL accounts and Material is in this way.
Material is created based on material type and material type is connected to Valuation class via Account category reference.
Now that for each valuation class corresponding GL accounts are defined in customizing.
you can check the same in Tcode# OBYC.
To check the posting to Inventory account during GR, select BSX (Inventory posting) and check whether the corresponding valuation class has got the assignment with GL accounts or not.

Service Master and Material Master relation
Hi Friends,
Our client requirement is to procure and sale same services.
and client wants to post the services to different G/L accounts for ex: if I am raising a sale order or Purchase order,
then for each different service line item to be posted to different G/L accounts.
Initially I thought of creating the service master with different valuation classes but when the same thing comes to sales then with service master they cannot create the sale order.
Hence kindly advice in this case whether to go with the service master creation and create the PO's with the service masters
or go with the creation of material master with the services material type with different valuation classes?

For services the concerned entries have to be maintained in table T030.
The system will then suggest the G/L accounts as per the valuation class
maintained in table T030 (Standard Accounts Table, transaction OBYC).
The system will determine the
G/L account depending on the following criteria:
T001K-BWMOD
BKLAS
T001-KTOPL
T163K-KOMOK
Services level is one level below materials, which results in
some inherent restrictions compared to materials. In case of
services the values have to be maintained in the table T030.

John K.I have not seen any report that can list all mandatory fields for vendors or materials.
The customizing of mandatory fields has several dimensions, in a material e.g. the transaction, the industry code, the material type and the plant.
whenever one of these fields changes it can result in a different set of mandatory fields
And even then some fields become mandatory based on entries made in other fields.
I think you should just go and create a material (vendor) and you just hit enter in a screen, SAP will tell you the mandatory fields for that screen, and you cant proceed to the next without making an entry. -
Dear all,
Say i have standard price maintained in material master as $2.00 per piece. This price is inclusive of freight cost or duty cost. Where as in PIR it is $1.20 only on material cost. the 80cents of freight and duty i built in PO condition by percentage.
1) May I know if it is ok to have PIR and standard price at different price because 1 want to calculate the freight and duty condition in PO by percentage?
2) when there is difference in amount during migo or miro against $2.00, then will go to price difference.
thanksThe frieght & duty cost should not be part of standard price. Actually the situation should be reverse where the standard price only has material prices and the info-record should have the freight, duty etc.
Only though this way you can maintain the sanctity of standard price.
Coming to your second query, yes during transactions the difference between standard price and PO price will go into price differences account or other account as determined automatically through account determination set-up -
How to enable the standard price in the accounting -1 view of material mast

When i was trying to create a material of material Type: FERT, Iam unable to enter the price of the material in the accounting -1 view-> standard price.
The field has been disabled.
So please tell me how to enable the standard price.

go to OMS2 double click FERT
in valuation check which price control is allowed
it should be std. price
go to OMSR check MBEW-STPRS note field group
in OMS9 for this group and material combination check whether that field is maintained as display
