Mass quality plan Assign
If i done GR against production order system not assigned automatic qualityplan because in by default system show usage is 5 but GR against Production order Usage is 1 we have to change 5 to 1 then assign specification,so each and every finished material i have to go change inspection lot change usage then assign

Whether it is GR confirmation from production order or Purchase order, the usage will be always 5.
For GR against Purch. Order you use 01 Inspection type, make Inspection plan with usage 5.
For GR against Produ. Order you use 04 Inspection type , make inspection plan with usage 5.
For in process inspection we use 03 inspection type, here GR is not there you have to assign MIC's in Routing with usage 1.
If you do this, inspection plan will be automatically assigned to lot (do ensure that the date of inspection plan preparation is same / prior to that of lot generation)

Hi,
I have subcontracting material which was processing from one subcontractor,I have created quality plan for the material.
For such subcontractor, material posting to QA after GRN, Also There is no issue of UD,
But When I receive same material from another subcontractor, Material posted to QA, But when i go to RESULT tab , system give message as NO CHARACTERISTICS ARE CREATED. I have already created quality plan & inspection characteristics.
Ihave also attached Quality info records for the subcontractor,

If you have same material code for all the vendor and you have activated QM view the system will post the stock to quality.And there should not be any error like this.Still check the QM activation and quality plan assignment date as well as GRN date for the reffered P.O in terms of posting date.
If you have different material for all vendor then assign all the materials seperately to the inspaction plan.

Mass Change of Uses in Quality Plan

It think if you are trying to copy the plan with CWBQM, don't try it. It will not work like that.
But yes if you want to change any field of the inspection plan in mass it will work perfectly.
You asked to change the usage of the inspection plans in mass, then it will surely work.
Current Working Are: It defines.........
- Which focus is to be used, that is which object type the selection criteria refer to.
- Which object types can be displayed and processed.
- Whether objects are automatically locked for changing by other users, and which objects these are.
You can select any of the Wrok Area
"Q_OPR_000000000010" Will have the focused are at Operation level of the Inspection plan and will lock the Operation level data for the Task list while you will be executing the workbench. at the other hand "Q_TSK_000000000010" will have focus at Header level data only and will lock the Header level details while working at CWBQM.
Now it you have to decide what you want to do If you need only the operation level details to be locked for the Inspection plan and go with Q_OPR_000000000010 and If you wish the entire task list get locked, no one should access the task list from header level it self during the CWBQM execution, go with Q_TSK_000000000010.
Don't put any data at "BASIC Selection Criteria"
Where you have enter the task list type "Q", see just above this section, there is a Button "ADDITIONAL SELECTION CRITERIA" is there, click on it and you will have more selection fields available.
To change (Again I will say to change not to Copy) the details at MIC level don't execute the "Load Task list" instead press "Ctfl + F7"

by mistake instead of deleting a material assigned to a quality plan the user deleted the quality plan group
can it be retrieved?
when trying to create or copy similar quality plan again it is giving another group counter number
is there any way to retrieve the deleted quality plan group ?

In the mail app you will see the account, and then below that, the account listed again. Tap on the lower one and you may see a trash folder. You may find your mail in there.
Also, depending on your account and how it's set up you may be able to access the trash via safari. for example I can go to yahoo.com and access my trash. However stuff stays in there a random amount of time. And if you account is set to delete it off hte server when you delete it from the mailbox then it may be gone. -
Hi All,
I have a query,I have a scenaro where the one material is supplied by 4 different vendors,my client is asking me to creat one quality plan.And each vendor's material need to be inspected with different MIC,like 1,2,3.......10.For first vendor 1,3,5.second with different MIC.
Please let me know how this can be achieved with one Plan,is this possible,if yes please let me know how to be achieved.If not please let me know what to do ?

This is possible by two ways.
1.first one is simple but in this case task list will be with one gruop & 4 different group counter.
so there will be 4 task list with respective vendor MIC's
Also in Material assignment tab of task list you have to put corrospending vendor.
2.Use Dependet charecoristics:
Make one task list ,But depending upon the vendor assign the dependent char(MIC's ) which will contain the vendor also.
suppose the commn char are 4,6 & 10.Then in task list only maintain these char.
now in dependent char you can put 1,3 & 5 with relevent vendor ...so for next vendor.
But if char to be checked are drastically different then go for one group & 4 group counters.

Changed MIC in quality plan for new lot.....

I created quality plan for one material and did result recording.
Now again new lot is created for same material but this time I donu2019t want to check same MIC what I did last time.
I deleted the pervious MIC and added new MIC what I want to check. After doing that again I went to QA32 to do RR for new MIC but its showing pervious one.
So what I have to do.
Please suggest me.

If you don't want to check same MIC's there are two options :
a) Go to insp plan delete / overwrite the MIC and save, please ensure that your lot is generated after this change is made. new plan will be applied.
b) Make a separate task list with other set of MIC's and while assigning the task list to inspection lot you can select the desired one.
I deleted the pervious MIC and added new MIC what I want to check. After doing that again I went to QA32 to do RR for new MIC but its showing pervious one.
Pl check when the lot has been generated, if it is generated before you have done the changes then lot will not show new MIC's. for that you have to go to QAC3 to reset the insp lot.

Quality plan as per production version
Hi SAP gurus,
My client has multiple Production versions and they want to use different Quality plan as per version , how I can map this process in SAP.
I tired using in production version by putting Qualiity plan instaed of routing, Inpection lot is created but when it come for the production order it was asking for the routing / or operation generation.
As few specfication of Quality plan is different , that is the reason Plan has to be specific to PV.

Even if you create a Inspection plan you might have observed in the production version you have to specify the Routing.
Reason is syem will check the routing for cost collector in production order.
what you can do is may be you can carry out inprocess inspection with routing & specify the char in the task list
or
You may have to go for userexit while selection of the task list you will select the appropriate task list with appropraite prod version
Also if you creat two inspection plan with two gr counters & do not tick on "Auto Assign" in the QM view,
System will create a lot of 04 with CRTD status.
In QA02 you can go & manually attach the relevent task list.
What you can do is create a Group with name of "prod version" itself.This will ease the attaching of the tak list to the the lot.

I have already activated auto asssignment indicator , still it is not picking inspection plan & also, i will narrate the in brief i have created inspection plan & assigned customer to that inspection plan. when i am creating lot for that customer inthat lot that customer specific inspection plan not appearing for manual selection also. if it won't get attach automatically to that lot then atleast it should appear for manual selection, in my case it is not appearing

Unable to pick correct quality plan
Hi all,
Z8 inspection type created (copying 08) and for the same material we have used std. STO inspection type 08.
we have created Z09 movement type (copying 309 movement type). we have done 311 movement type(insp. type 08 activated )
For a material we have activated both 08 and Z8 inspection type, I have not done any preferred inspection type in the material master
parallelly I have created task list z5 usage for z8 inspection type and 05 usage for 08 insp. type.
now my requirement is to pick z5 usage quality plan for z09 movement type + z8 inspection type combination
already system is picking 05 usage quality plan for 311 movement type + 08 inspection type combination
how to bridge this gap ?

SARAVANAKUMAR. PBoth the 309 and 311 material movements have an inspection origin of 08. So your Z09 movement type will also have an 08 inspection origin.
You have two inspection types (08 and Z8) assigned to the inspection origin. The problem is that the system, regardless of the movement type, is just looking for an inspection type with an 08 origin. It will find two.. 08 and Z8. so it won't know which to take unless one is marked as preferred.
If you want to pick the inspection type, then you would need to use a user exit to do this for you. Probably user exit QAAT0001 Inspection type determination different from variant 01.

How to attach a quality plan automatically so that inspection lot gets the system status as REL CALC without maintaining the relation between material & quality plan. This situation arises when lakhs of materials are created through interface programs in to SAP with activation of inspection types and all are having one common plan.

SumitIt means you are sending down the same characteristic to an external system like LIMS more then once.
I believe this is a warning. Not a hard error but I'm not 100%sure.
