Mass updating a multi-valued field- to append the new value
I have a question on multi-valued fields:
I have store table with 5 multi-valued fields, say MLB, soccer, college FTBL, college Basketball, etc.
A store can have 4 MLBs, 2 soccer teams, and so on.
Say, there is a new MLB that came out called Mexico MLB team.
A user wanted to add this to 30 stores using a mass update. But remember the 30 stores can have totally different sets of values in the multi-valued fields.
How can I add this new value while still preserving the MLB teams values of each store record?
Does MDM not support this feature?
I am using SAP MDM SP6
An answer would be highly appreciated.

I assume you are defined these fields as multi-value lookup and linked to main table. In general, you can not because it will mess up and overwrite your multi-value entries for all of your 30 store records.
Here is something in MDM come in handy. It is following the same concept but design your model a little differently. If you model your multi-value fields into qualified lookup table, it will be easier and optimized to handle.
You can select all 30 records and mass-update with adding the new MLB entry into your Q-lookup table. Once you save, this mass-update action will respect all your diversity of each individual records with the new value added.

Debugging field-exit with the new debugger

I could debug a field-exit with the new debugger, but I cannot do it anymore. I chose the options "system debug" and "update debug" in the configuration menu that time but it's not working now.
Before you answer "<b>FIELD-EXIT CANNOT BE DEBUG!</b>", take a look first at the The New ABAP Debugger 7.00 Presentation where it mentions that's possible.
And also I saw a post: Re: activation of field exit for particular sereen
where Ramesh Kashigari said that it's possible too.

I agree that it should now be possible. I saw this on a SAP Java Development Day at the start of '04 when NetWeaver 04 was launched.
I saw it being used in the NetWeaver Development Studio.
It seemed very clever indeed. You could debug the Java code then jump to the ABAP debugger when the BAPI is called then jump back into the Java code when the BAPI call is completed. It seemed to work very well and did not have any issues.

My Adobe CS 4 ran perfectly find up until I updated my MAC OS from Mavericks to the new YOSIMITE. When I launch illustrator CS4 I get a window message the reads "some plug-ins in the additional Plug-ins folder are conflicting with application or user plug-ins. It will skip loading plug-ins from additional plug-ins folder." there is a OK button that I must click on to close the message window and then illustrator will continue loading process, then a second window will appear reading "Error loading plug-ins. PhotoshopImport.aip" there is a OK button that I must click on to close the message window and then illustrator will continue loading and launch.
The problem is when I open a current file that has a psd link I will get a window message reading "could not find a plug-in to read the link file _______ choose repair to locate the missing file, replace to select another file, or ignore to leave the link unchange." When selecting a psd link /file it is greyed out which I cannot select it. I can not select, choose, import or open any files/links that is a psd.
Would someone please help me resolve this issue please!!!I have the same issue! Did you get a solution yet?

I tried to update my iPhone 5 this morning with the new software update. Now my phone won't turn on. When I plug into iTunes, it says that my phone is in recovery mode and that it needs to be restored to factory settings. Is there a way to fix this without losing my settings? Why would this happen on a software update?

That is not what it says. Read the message again. It's telling you it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode and it must be restored.

I need to update my software in order to download the new version of iTunes in order to put songs on my new iPod. But my software doesn't need updating..or so my computer says. What should I do??
If your iMac has a PowerPC processor, Leopard OS 10.5.x is the max OS. If your iMac has an Intel processor, it can run Snow Leopard OS 10.6.x or possibly higher.
Once we know your iMac model, we can better recommend what OS X version.

Hi! I just update my apple tv 2nd gen to the new solfware but it only show the itunes icon on the tv and after shows nothing on the tv screen. What i can do to fix that?

If your problem persists get yourself a micro USB cable (sold separately), you can restore your Apple TV from iTunes:
Remove ALL cables from Apple TV. (if you don't you will not see Apple TV in the iTunes Source list)
Connect the micro USB cable to the Apple TV and to your computer.
Reconnect the power cable (only for Apple TV 3)
Open iTunes.
Select your Apple TV in the Devices list, and then click Restore.
(You may already have a micro USB cable if you have a camera or other digital device) -
I just installed the latest version of iTunes to get the updates and new software on my iPod but it hasn't updated my iPod or put any of the new software on there either. How to I get the software to sync onto my iPod?
Are you sure it's not 6.1.6? If it is, that is the latest iOS version that will work on a 4th generation iPod Touch. Later versions require a 5G iPod which has twice as much RAM.

I require an update to Camera Raw for CS6 for the new Olympus 4/3 OMD E-M5 MARK II to process my images. How can I get this?
You may need to purge your Bridge cache for the folder with Mark II raws in it using:
Bridge / Tools / Cache / Purge Cache For Folder current-folder-name
I can see Mark II files in Bridge 5.0.2 for CS6 after installing the ACR 8.8 update, but I didn't try viewing thumbnails in the folder before I had ACR 8.8 so there were no cached "cannot read this file" thumbnails..
If purging the cache and letting it rebuild doesn't work check to see what version of ACR Bridge has by using ridge / Edit / Camera Raw Preferences... (that's the Windows menu path). Here is what I see: -

When publishing from Lightroom to Facebook, you are always sending them to an album. Lightroom doesn't generate you posts though. Generally Facebook is smart enough to create just one post for all of your images published to a single album. If you are getting individual posts per photo there isn't anything you can do from Lightroom's side to change that. Try refreshing you page your newsfeed or timeline to verify whether individual posts are being created or if it's just a timing issue.
Also, uploading images to Facebook will always result in your file having a different file name on the server and in the page code. No avoiding this, no matter your method of upload. -
Can someone pls help me?? Okay..I've been trying to fix this for DAYS now! When I sign in (under settings) w my new apple ID, then go to update or purchase something I cannot get the new apple ID to come up. It's still using the old one (which is disabled) ..please help!
Delete what? The ID's? They cannot be deleted - you just quit using it.
If you still have one old ID - that you have purchased content with - you are saying that the password no longer works with that ID? Did you try to reset the password for that ID?
Read this - instructions if the ID was disabled for entering the wrong password.

I can update a single value lookup field as below but can't get to update if its multi value.
As stated below when I hardcode it. It works.

The above logic has no hard coding and it fetches the lookup information directly from the master list and generates a collection based on that. You can modify the above code as per your requirement.

Mass update of BUT000-Z field, but can't use FM BAPI_BUPA_CENTRAL_CHANGE
After a data load we have realised that one of the Z fields has not been populated with data and so as a result of this I am attempting to write a quick program to update this Z field. The field is located in table BUT000, but of course I need to update this using the appropriate FM rather than direct table update.
There seems to be a few' BUT000' FM's and a number of 'CRM_BUPACHANGE' FM's as well. Has anyone used an FM for such an update before?. I think I need to identify the best FM for the job.
I have also looked at FM BAPI_BUPA_CENTRAL_CHANGE as well, but that does NOT contain the Z field to change.

I agree with you, but MASS is something very straight forward, plus, don't support paralelization, so if you want to change a smalll amout of data or you really don't care about performance (I mean for the process is the same if the update takes 1 or 4 hours) and the changes doesn't imply a business logic, the user has all the control of which fileds should be changed and for which value, then it's a good option.
But when extra logic is needed, Mass can become a nightmare, I will write a blog about this if I have the time.

Mass update of a custom field at Product Revenue level
We are trying to update a custom field at Product Revenue level using the Opportunity Web Service. The webservice call is timing out as we have thousands of Opportunities.
I would appreciate if anybody gives input on how we can massively update a custom field using Opportunity Web Service.

Is there a way to mass update a custom field at Product Revenue level other than using a web service.
