Material availibility in prod order
Dear all ,
For SFG production order RM required .
In prodction order Storage location for this RM is 0001.
where as in MMBE stock available for this RM at 0002. still prodn order status is MACM ?
Pl guide where to check
regards ,
I have the same issue but the system behaving in a unusual manner:
I have set the system in such a way that the system should post an error to me if material is not available (i.e. it is in unrestricted stock and no reservations are made against this stock). for this purpose i've copied the standard PP Checking rule and created ZP. and have reservations and planned orders removed from it.
along with this i've assigned this to my order type.
The system isnt performing this check at order creation level but carrying it out as required at order release.
i've set the appropriate settings in "opjk" too.. in customizing..
Please help. in my opinion the system should not behave like this..should i raise an OSS note for having SAP look into this issue ?

Incorrect Result of Material Availability in production order
Hi gurus,
we have a problem with material availability in production order CO01. When my list of materials is checked OK with option availability material and I modify the quantity of some material. With this modification, e.g. quantity 99.999, the logical result of my material availability would be NO OK, but the system answers is OK. I think he material availability doesn't recalculate the availability.
I will reward with a lot of points!!!
Thank you
Danin the availability check screen of the prod order, find out the which check group is being called. and find out the scope of check,
then in the custmisation, change the setting of the scope of check.
Trx code OPJJ, deselect/select the indicator "check without RLT". if there is tick in ur current system then uncheck it, it the tick is not there then tick it.
your issue will be solved.

Update Material Availability dates during order creation
Hi,
We have a requirement to update the material availability in the schedule lines of the order when the order is being created.
We want the update to happen after the sales order is in the Data base. We tried calling a Function module in Update task. The function module is written in the EXIT_SAVE_DOCUMENT form of sales order user exit.
The FM is getting called on the commit work , but not updating the sales order. We are getting an error " Material availability date should be less than load date". On debugging we noted that the SD_SALES_SCHEDULE_MAINTAIN is called with a load date of 00/00/0000 since the sales order is not in DB.
Is there a way to call the FM after the sales order is in the database.

Material Availability in Process Order
Hi Gurus,
In process order, (scheduled in Current date) before release I was checked availability of in-put materials.
System thrown a message that Allchecked materials are availble.
But, in actual one material is shortage in stocks.
I checked the controls in COB1 all are OK
Please any body help me in this
with regards,
Anand.M (Hyderabad)Hi Anand,
It depends on Checking criteria maintain in your checking rule in T.code OPJJ.
- First of all select your order type and plant in along with Transaction type (1 creation or 2 Release) and find out which checking rule you have maintain in it.T.code is OPJK
- Then go to t.code OPJJ and find the checking criteria for that Checking rule.

Backorder rescheduling: when Material available, global Sales order rescheduling
Dear all,
As we don't have PP implemented,
When a Material is out of stock, the Sales order items on this material are not confirmed.
My worry is to respect the reservation: first ordered, first reserved.
How would you manage this? V_RA would it be a good solution?
Or is it necessary to go on change on all these Sales order to confirm it manually?
Kind regards,
SebastienYou can use V_RA, it can allow users to uncofirm/confirm the quantities for sales orders.

Work Order Material Availability Check Customizing
Hi,
I am currently trying to set up material availability check in the work order before saving. I am testing it by entering a material in the work order for which there is zero stock. Then clicking on ORDER > FUNCTIONS > AVAILABILITY > CHECK STOCK MATERIAL. However SAP would return 'All checked materials in order 100000317 are available' in status bar.
My customizing is as follows:
Define Checking Rules (SPRO):
PM Checking rule for plant maintenance
Define Scope of Check (OPJJ):
Availability Check: 01 (Daily Requirements)
Checking Rule: PM (Checking rule for plant maintenance)
Availability check: 2 (Check availability during order release)
Stocks
Include safety stock: X
StockIn Transfer: X
Incl. quality insp. stock: X
Replenishment lead time
Check without RLT: X
In/outward movement
Incl. purchase orders: X
Incl. purchase requisitions: X
Incl. dependant reqs: X
Include reservations: X
Include sales reqmts: X
Include deliveries: X
Incl. planned orders: X (check all planned o)
Incl. production orders: X (take all production)
Define Scope of Check (OIOI):
Plant: (Corresponds to Work Order)
Order Type: (Corresponds to Work Order)
Check material availability when saving order: X
Check rule: 02 (Corresponds to material being used)
Release Material: 3 (No release if parts are missing)
PRT Availability: No check
Capacity Availability: No check
I would appreciate if you could indicate if I am missing something in the customizing or if there is some sort of error. I would like SAP to display a system message on the status bar stating that this material is not available once the user enters this material.
Regards,
NikolaiI'am facing the almost the same problem. Could anyone tell me:
1. How to make material availability check work during Work Order creation?
My requirement is Work Order can not be created when it has missing parts. I have set the config to '3' can not created when is has missing parts, but it still does not work.
I have implemented SAP Notes 1148139 on my system (SAP ECC 6 Ehp 5) also, but still does not have any effect.
I must not set the config Res./Purch Doc creation to 'immediately', because it does not fit to my user requirement. Is there anyone knows how to solve this requirement?
2. How to make information message/ Availability check screen appear when sparepart is missing, without clicking Availability Check button? for example: appear when clicking Save button.
Thank you

COHVPI Material Availability Check
Hi All
I am using COHVPI for collective check of material availability:
1. For all packaging material it checks and show me the log if there is material shortfall, however for Batch managed semifinish product it does not show shortfall if there is any! ( I am using batch strategy to pick batch automatically, but dont think it makes any difference here)
2. Also, after the Material Availability check the order status stilt l remains MANC, rather I expect it to change to MACM.
Can you guys please suggest any solution for this!
Thanks in advance
RahulThe status MANC suggests that a dynamic availability check is not being executed.
Check if the same occurs in COR2 as well as COHVPI. If so, you then need to check if availability check is actually switched on for the material;
First, check if a checking group has been assigned to the material master and ensure "No Check" is not selected in transaction OVZ2.
Then check the checking rule assigned to the order type in transaction OPJK. Here, you can check if a check is executed during release or during creation. It may be you have only activated a dynamic ATP check at order release for example and the orders being processed in COHVPI are CRTD.
Also, You should check tranaction OVZ9 to ensure the availability check is checking receipts that you expect it to check. -
How to stop prod order release without material available?
Dear Experts,
Is there any settings to avoid the release of production order if there is no material availability?
Thanks & Regards,
Imran
Edited by: imran shek on Mar 24, 2009 7:39 AMHi Imran,
Try the below for not to allow the release of production order when the material is not available.
1. Goto Tcode : OPJK and select the Plant / Order type for which you want to restrict the order release if the matl is not avaialble.
2. Click the details tab screen.
3. System will display the detail screen for the order type / plant combination.
4. For the Availability Check put " 1 or 2" i.e. check availability during the Order Creation / Release based on the business requirement.
5. Under Material Availability tick the check box "Check Material Aval before saving".
6.For the Collective Conversion use " 3" (No Creation if material is missing)
Creation control for availability check material :
Controls whether a planned order can be converted to a production order if one or more material components are not available.
Dependencies
This key only relates to the collective conversion and partial conversion planned orders.
Hope this will help you.

Production Order Simulation for Material Availability
Please Help.
Does anyone know how to run a simulation for a configured material and then do a material availability check? First I need to be able to configure a material, then I need to be able to see if I have the material available to build it. The requirement is coming from Sales or another Plant if the form of a question "Can you fulfill the SO by X date?" I have tried CO01S but after configuring the material it is not allowing me to then do the availability check. Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thank youHi,
Based on further checks i feel the simulation order might not meet your exact need, apologies for the incorrect info.
Alternatively what i can think of at the moment is,
1. Create a new order type say ZSIM, assign a new number range (create via co82) for this & maintain all other paramters as a normal order type
2. Create a user status in BS02, which does not allow for releasing the order & assign this user status to your new order type in OPJH.
3. Create a order for your material using this new order type & you can then use the material availability functionality.
The blocking of release for these orders, ensure that even by mistake the user does not release these orders as you want to use it for simulation purpose & thereby ensuring that it does not become relevant for production.
Hope the above helps.

Longer time for Material Availability check while creation of prd order.
Hi guys,
I am facing a weird problem while creating production orders thru CO01.
I enter the component and plant and I am also using the forward scheduling option.
for some reason, SAP is taking a long time for material availability check when I hit the release button.
Sometimes its taking more than an hour. Its happening with few specific BOM's, and I have checked the master data but I could hardly find a problem in master data.
Can someone suggest me some tips ??
Thanks & Regards,
SashivardhanHi,
Please check the Availability check control maintained for Components it should be 01 or 02. Also check the issue storage location maintained or not. You can maintain issue storage location in BOM in Status/lng text tab in Production Storage Location.
Hope this will help.

Material staging indicator not populating in prod order WM pick list item
Hello,
I have an issue with material staging in an prod order
1) PP-WM interface is activated
2) Control cycle for material is created
3) Production storage location is created for material
4) storage type is 100 for production
5) There is one discontinued material and also the follow up material
6) stock of discontinued material is zero and requirement are passed to follow up material
When we confirm the order the stagging indicator for both follow up material as well as discontinued material automatically populates zero (Non relevence to pick list items) where as it should be one (1 - for pick list items).
One more issue user has manually inserted discontinued material as well as follow up material in production order change mode.
In the BOM of a main material both discontinued as well as follow up material is there with some quantity as a component.
For the same work center, control cycle , production storage location the indicator is populating.
These two material (discontinued as well as follow up) are appearing twice in the WM pick list screen where first two line items are OK and populating indicator "1". But in line item last and second last indicator is not there.
My question is why the stagging indicator is not automatically populating in the production order WM pick list screen in front of components.Unfortunately, WM material staging via production orders is not possible
from the pull list. Please see the long text of message RMPU 311
(WM material staging for production order reservation not possible):
"You cannot carry out a WM material provision for pick parts from
production order reservations in the pull list". The reasons for this
are cleary explained in the SAP on-line documentation via the
following path :
Logistics -> Logistics Execution -> Warehouse Management Guide ->
Goods Issue -> Goods Issue for Production Supply ->
Material Staging for Repetitive Manufacturing
See the following under the Selection heading :
The choice of the selection type influences which types of WM material
staging are supported in the pull list. However, the pick parts can be
staged via RS headers/planned orders but not with the current BOM
explosion. The release order parts, on the other hand, can also be
staged if the current BOM is used for calculating the dependent
requirements.
WM material staging via production orders is not possible from the pull
list.
I think you may try in CO02 or COR2 for production order or process order. -
Material Availability check during work order creation and Release
Hello All,
We are checking material availability at creation as well as release
Say we have Material XYZ=100 in stock MMBE
Now XYZ =100 is say at normal storage location =75
and scrap storage location=05 and serviceable =20
Currently when availability check is performed it checks for 95 (It excludes scrap storage location 05 )
but we want Availability check to be only for normal stock =75 and not for Serviceable and Scrap location
how to do this in configuration or via exits
Since if the material is under Scrap location it is not counting in Availability check at work order creation this logic is working fine but I do know from where this control is put that when the material is in the stock of scrap it is not counting in Availability check for work orders.Same thing I want to extend it to Serviceable stock .
Why not it is consider it for Scrap storage location , what is config or any MM enhancement
So that when Availability check run it will not consider Materials at SCRAP as well as SERVISABLE storage location also.
Please have your views on this
Regards
pratapHello
There are two option for your requiement
1. Changing the status of the servisable storage location stock to restricted use stock . You can include or exclude this stock status material in OPJJ. This solution is not storage location dependent. It is stock status dependent.
2. Please refer the enhancement for the storage location determination. I am not sure about this funtionality:
For production orders the following enhancement is available:
PPCO0005 enhancement for storage loc. determination/backflushing
You can use this enhancement to change the storage location and the indicator 'backflushing' in the reservation.
The enhancement PPCO0005 contains the following enhancement components:
Function exit
EXIT_SAPLCOSD_001 storage location determination/backflushing
You can find the description in modification text of the function exit.
You can find an example of the user exit in the function group XC01 in the include LXCO1F05.
warm regards
Ramakrishna
