Material Master Data Loading Error

Hi All,
I am loading master data for material. i got the following error.
1. 0material_attr :
    Record 1 :0MATERIAL : Data record 1 ('000000000000010220 '): Version '000000000000010220 ' is not   valid
    Process :   If this message appears during a data load, maintain the attribute in
                     the PSA maintenance screens. If this message appears in the master data
                     maintenance screens, leave the transaction and call it again. This
2.0material_text : Data record 1 ('000000000000010220E '): Version '000000000000010220 ' is not valid
   Process : Same as above.
I have applied RSKC tcode in BI with ALL_CAPITAL, ALL_CAPITAL_PLUS_HEX, and one special character string. but still getting the same error.

    maintenance screens, leave the transaction and call it again. This allows to maintain your masterdata
which string i should have to add in RSKC to remove this error ? i have already added the ALL_CAPITAL, ALL_CAPITAL_PLUS_HEX.

Dear Milmuk,
it is hard to tell, why it is not working. There could be different reasons.
Please check if you have entered the correct data.
It could be that the relevant tables for transfer are not filled.
Please execute the following:
- BD53
- select message type (/SAPSLL/MATMAS_SLL)and edit it
- select a segment
- save
- deselect segment again
- activate
- set in trx BD60 the FM to the correct value
(/SAPSLL/MATMAS_DISTRIBUTE_R3)
You can than check with the programm: '/SAPSLL/PLUGIN_CHECK_R3' if
all 4 required tables (TBD24, TBD62, TBDA2, TBDME) are filled, or not.
If that's all fine I suggest you open a CSS ticket as then a more detailed analysis is necessary.

hello there,
lets first define what you want, e.g. attribute, text or hierarchy, it can be all 3 as well.
if you want attribute for material master data you can use 0MATERIAL_ATTR
for text you can use 0MATERIAL_TEXT and for hierarchy you can use 0MATERIAL_HIER
all material master data goes into infoobject 0MATERIAL. good luck and feedback if you need further assistance.

I am assuming that you are getting this error when you are loading data from PSA to IO. If so, the error might be because of
1. Duplicate records
PSA might have duplicate records. But you will be able to load only one record to Master data IO. In DTP Update tab, there is an option for "Handle Duplicate Record Keys" . Just enable this & try to load again.
2. Erroneous records.
Some special reocrds are allowed in PSA where as thye might not be allowed in Master Data/Data Targets like Lower case letters/ some speacial characters etc. If error is because of this, then you might need to correct the data at PSA level & reload the data to Master data. Else get it corrected in source system itself & fetch the data to BW. Or write some code to take care of these special characters.

Material Master Data load failed

Hi All,
I am loading material master data. I have around 8055 records in R/3. The load has failed with an error "Non-updated Idocs found in Business Information Warehouse" and asking me to process the IDocs manually. I have checked in WE05 for the IDocs and found 3 Idocs with status 64(IDoc ready to be transferred to application).
But when I checked in the manage screen of the 0MATERIAL I could find the Transfered and Updated records as 8055. I have even checked the data in 0MATERIAL and found that all the data(8055 records) has already been uploaded.
Why is it still showing an error(load failed) even when all the data has been uploaded? What should I do now?

for material text no language please check Note 546346 - Material texts: no selection on languages
and for why idocs problem, check e.g Note 561880 - Requests hang because IDocs are not processed, Note 555229 - IDocs hang in status 64 for tRFC with immediate processing.

Reason and Prerequisites
As of PI/PI-A 2001_2 Support Package 6, the selection option for the 'SPRAS' field in the OLTP system was undone in the 0MATERIAL_TEXT DataSource. (Refer here to note 505952).
Solution
As of PI/PI-A 2002_1 Support Package 4, the 'SPRAS' field is provided for selection again with the 0MATERIAL_TEXT DataSource in the OLTP system. When loading the material texts from BW, the language is still not provided for selection in the scheduler, instead all languages of the language vector in BW are implicitly requested from the source system. However, during the delta update in the source system, the change pointers for all languages in the source system are now set to processed, regardless of whether the language was requested by BW or not.

In transaction RSA5, copy the D version of the 0MATERIAL_TEXT DataSource to the A version.
Then replicate the DataSources for 0MATERIAL in the BW system. The 'SPRAS' field is then flagged again as a selection field in the transfer structure of the 0MATERIAL InfoSource. The transfer rules remain unchanged. Activate the transfer rules and perform a delta initialization again.
Note 561880 - Requests hang because IDocs are not processed
Symptom
Data extraction in a BW or SEM BW system from an external OLTP System (such as R/3) or an internal (via DataMart) OLTP System hangs with the 'Yellow' status in the load monitor.
After a timeout, the request status finally switches to 'Red'.
Information IDocs with the status '64' are displayed in the 'Detail' tab.

Reason and Prerequisites
Status information on load requests is transferred in the form of IDocs.
IDocs are processed in the BW ALE model using tRFC in online work processes (DIA).
IDoc types for BW (RSINFO, RSRQST, RSSEND) are processed immediately.
If no free online work process is available, the IDocs remain and must then be restarted to transfer the request information.With the conversion to asynchronous processing, it can often happen that no DIA is available for tRFC for a short period of time (see note 535172).
The IDoc status 64 can be caused by other factors such as a rollback in the application updating the IDocs. See the relevant notes.
Furthermore, you can also display these IDocs after the solution mentioned below, however, this is only intended as information.
You must therefore analyze the status text.
Solution
We recommend asynchronous processing for Business Warehouse.
To do this, you need the corrections from note 535172 as well as note 555229 or the relevant Support Packages.
The "BATCHJOB" entry in the TEDEF table mentioned in note 555229 is generated automatically in the BW system when you import Support Package 08 for BW 3.0B (Support Package 2 for 3.1 Content).For other releases and Support Package levels, you must manually implement the entry via transaction SE16.
Depending on the Basis Support Package imported, you may also have to implement the source code corrections from note 555229.
The following basic recommendations apply in avoiding bottlenecks in the dialog processing and checking of IDocs for BW:
1. Make sure there is always sufficient DIA, that is, at least 1 DIA more than all other work processes altogether, for example, 8 DIA for a total of 15 work processes (see also note 74141).
TIP: 2 UPD process are sufficient in BW, BW does not need any UP2.
2. Unprocessed Info IDocs should be processed manually within the request in BW;in the 'Detail' tab, you can start each IDoc again by selecting 'Update manually' (right mouse button).
3. Use BD87 to check the system daily (or whenever a problem arises) for IDocs that have not yet been processed and reactivate if necessary.
However, make sure beforehand that these IDocs can actually be assigned to the current status of requests.
TIP: Also check transaction SM58 for problematic tRFC entries.
IMPORTANT: Notes 535172, 555229 and the above recommendations are relevant (unless otherwise specified) both for BW and for SAP source systems.

Material Master Text Load Error

Hello Everyone,
I am trying to load material master text. I am getting a data load error. Here is the error message.
Error Message:; Record filtered in advance as error records with the same key exist.
When i checked the longtext for that error, i got this info.
Diagnosis
     The existing DTP requires a serialized update because fields are updated
     non-commutatively during the processing run (for example, MOVE).
     Therefore all new data records that have the same semantic key as
     incorrect records that have not yet been corrected in earlier requests
     or earlier data packages of the same request, are filtered out after the
     extraction in a special step. In this way the system ensures that
     incorrect data records are not repeated for your changes, which may not
     contain errors themselves.
System Response
     The data record is not updated but is written to an error stack.
Procedure
     Correct all incorrect data records and update them using an error DTP.
I did not understand the diagnosis message. If anyone could help me out, that would be helpful.

Hi Lasya,
If there are records in error stack and DTP is executed the next time the record keys are compared to the records in the error stack and all records which are listed in the error stack are filtered out and will not be sent to the master data update.
So you have to delete the entire DTP which also deletes the error stack or you have to correct the records in the error stack maintenance and then update the records from the error stack separately via an error stack DTP into the data target.
Regarding to the records in the "error stack", the 'error stack' button in the DTP monitor only shows data related to this request. If you want to view the whole error stack including all requests for a certain DTP, you have to call the error stack from the DTP maintenance.
If you decide to delete the error stack for the DTP. Please make sure you do it from the DTP maintenance and not the DTP equest.
Usually the error stack can be deleted by removing the incorrect requests from the data target. The other possibility is to delete and recreate the whole DTP.

R/3 Master Data Load Error

Hi Experts
Our master data load from R/3 to BW was failed today.
This is the error message on status Tab of failed request
Diagnosis
No IDocs could be sent to the SAP BW using RFC.
System response
There are IDocs in the source system ALE outbox that did not arrive in the ALE inbox of the SAP BW.
Further analysis:
Check the TRFC log.
You can get to this log using the wizard or the menu path "Environment -> Transact. RFC -> In source system".
Removing errors:
If the TRFC is incorrect, check whether the source system is completely connected to the SAP BW. Check especially the authorizations of the background user in the source system.
I navigated through Environment -> Transact. RFC -> In source system"
In R/3 i got the following error

Check the RFC connection between R3 and BW. Use transaction SM59 for the same or take help from the BASIS team.
If that is correct check the EDI partner profiles, if they are active and functioning properly. You can take BASIS help here.

0MATERIAL master data loading error

Hi,
We have accidentally overwritten the 0MATERIAL infoobject in BI Production by transporting from BI Development. Before this, the objects were not same in DEV and PRD. We made a mistake in not checking the differences betrween the two before transporrting. The transport gave a return code of 8 and there was a warning that conversion routine was changed to MATN1.
Now, after the transport the loading of master data is giving an error that data is invalid for material numbers that are all numeric.
What are the options we have now?

can you just check the infoobject and if its in modified or inactive version.
Try to check all the avaialable versions for this object and see if you can see the previous conversion routine in any of this version.
Also check the table RSDIOBJ or some other table which contains the information about the infoobject routine and see what conversion routine it contains.I think it should still contain the old version.
Material can either contain ALPHA or MATN1 nothing more then that.
So change it back to ALPHA and it should work as ALPHA works perfectly with the numeric values.
Also i think it should work with MATN1 as well just check the settings with OMSL t-code...may be you will have to change the settinhs for conversion routine at the data source level as well.
but better to go with ALPHA.

0ASSET_ATTR master data load error

Hi all,
I got an error when i was loading the master data for Asset number.
The error message in BI side is: u201CThe error occurred in Extractoru201D.
When tried to check the data in the RSA3 extract checker their it was giving me short dump with error message as

Short text: Type conflict when calling a function module (field length).
What happened?
     Error in the ABAP Application Program, The current ABAP program "GP4A36CIW2A4S3VKUAJL657AX3F" had to be terminated because it has come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
     A function module was called incorrectly.
*Error analysis: *
    An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
    The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_DYN_CALL_ILLEGAL_TYPE', was not caught in procedure "EXTRACTOR_FETCH" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
    Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the exception would occur, the current program is terminated. The reason for the exception is:
    The call to the function module "ARBW_BIW_GET_MASTER_DATA" is incorrect:
    In the function module interface, you can specify only fields of a specific type and length under "E_T_BIW_ASSET". Although the currently specified field " " is the correct type, its length is incorrect.

I have loaded attribute data successfully. But when iam monitoring the text data then iam getting following error.

I faced the same issue.
Error : 'RSDMD 184'
It was delta load. Initial load went well, but delta failed. I ran the delta after some days after initial load.
The problem was with the source system data. Just check the source data once with R/3 people. Delete data from BW and replicate the data source and activate transfer structure and try loading again.

This should really solve your issue.You only have to make sure that XXXX is the name of the conversion exit for 0material in the maintenance screen for 0material.

Check with the folks in the source system and find out why there are duplicate records. For a given period the keyfields can only appear once or else the load would fail. If it is ok (upon confirmation with functional folks) you can use the option of loading to PSA (3rd option in the infopackage) and then load subsequently to data targets & ignore duplicate records. But like I said, if I were you I would first try to find out why there are duplicate records before I start ignoring them.
