What is the problem with the database ?
Can you help me please ?
Thanks for your support.
Regards, DusanHello,
your suggestion did not helped me.
I cannot read link you sent (note 688028) - there is username / password protection.
But I made procedure described in the [Microsofts Knowledgebase|http://support.microsoft.com/kb/821546]:
Click Start, point to Programs, point to Administrative Tools, and then click Local Security Policy.
Expand Local Policies, and then click User Rights Assignment.
In the right pane, double-click Create global objects.
In the Local Security Policy Setting dialog box, click Add.
In the Select Users or Group dialog box, click the user account that you want to add, click Add, and then click OK.
Click OK.
This procedure did not help to connect to the database (DbManager GUI, SQL Studio).
Then I downloaded Database Studio. Connection using Database Studio is working OK.
What is the difference between these programs ?
Are they connecting to the database different way ?
Thank you

I am trying to refer to States dynamically and keep getting
an error telling me that the state is undefined.
<mx:RadioButtonGroup id="affiliation" />
<mx:Repeater id="rp" dataProvider="{acArtists}">
<mx:RadioButton label="{rp.currentItem.grouptype}"

How come it is defined for the label but not for current
state?
Below is the error.

By the time you click, the repeater is done repeating and its
currentItem
property will be null. Try
<mx:RadioButtonGroup id="affiliation" />
<mx:Repeater id="rp" dataProvider="{acArtists}">
<mx:RadioButton label="{rp.currentItem.grouptype}"
groupName="affiliation"
data="{rp.currentItem}"
id="rb" click="changeState(event)">
</mx:Repeater>
and then
private function changeState(e:Event) {
var btn:RadioButton = e.currentTarget as RadioButton;
currentState=btn.data.grouptype;
HTH;

For PCI-4451,How to change the frequency of an output signal without any undefined state
I would like to generate a signal using output channels of PCI-4451 and at the same time capture data using the input channels. Is there any method that I can generate a continuous signal without any undefined state when the signal frequency is being changed?
Attachments:
Input_Signal.bmp 729 KBWee,
DSA boards such as the PCI-4451 have a number of very desirable properties including high precision and a high sampling rate. The trade-off for the combination of these two properties is that the DSA boards cannot adjust their sampling rate on-the-fly. Instead they have to be stopped and reconfigured. During this reconfiguration time, the value of the board's output becomes flat and level.
If you are looking to adjust the board's output without seeing these flat spots, you have to take a different approach to programming a DSA board. Instead of reconfiguring the board, what you need to do is allow the board to continue to run (at the same output frequency), and then overwrite the output buffer that the board reads to output values. This will
allow you to output new data without the flat spots. Below you will find an example that displays this behavior.
If you determine that this is not an acceptable workaround due to the limitations on output rates, you may want to look at using a Multifunction DAQ board (60xx or 62xx) or an arbitrary waveform generator (54xx) device instead.
Best of luck with your application.

Troubles in copying a VGroup from one state to another
Hey there!
I am trying to build an application where the user can select whatever he wants to appear in his homepage. The user is given a list of checkboxes (with a corresponding label and image to every checkbox). I have kept all three of these items in a Vgroup and now I want to move this Vgroup from one state to another IF the checkBox is selected. Here is my code:
protected function btn_done_clickHandler(event:MouseEvent):void
if (chkbox1.selected == true) {
this.group1.currentState = "MainWindow"
else if (chkbox1.selected == false) {
this.group1.currentState = "AddPeople";
this.currentState="MainWindow";
This code does not show any errors before running but it crashes when this program is run. And it also show the following error report:
ArgumentError: Undefined state 'MainWindow'
Can someone please help to identify what I am doing wrong here?stmt.executeUpdate("INSERT INTO TABLEA(id,field2,field3,field4) SELECT id + " + x + ",field2,field3,field4 FROM TABLEB WHERE UPLOADNUM="+upnum); Where x is the number you have already calculated.

Change base view state from a custom component
I'm pretty new to flex and I'm having a small issue in change the view state from a component.
My Application have 2 custom components called userlogin and main menu. In the main application page I have userlogin component in one state and the main menu component in another. I'm trying to change the state if the login in successful from user login to main menu. I have the following function written inside the login component.
private function IsUserLoggedIn(evt:ResultEvent):void
if (evt.result.islogin.toString() == "true")
currentState = "MainMenu";
else
Alert.show("Login failed, please try again.", "Login Failed");
This code worked when I had all the controls in the main page. But then I created components and included them in to components and now when the login is success, its giving the following error.
ArgumentError: Undefined state 'MainMenu'.
at mx.core::UIComponent/getState()[E:\dev\4.0.0\frameworks\projects\framework\src\mx\core\UI Component.as:9908]

at components::UserLoginForm/__btnSubmit_click()[C:\Projects\WarrantyAutomation\src\componen ts\UserLoginForm.mxml:60]
I'm sure this has something to do with accessing the states from a custom component, but I do not know how to change the state to the main menu. Please help me with this. Any help is greatly appriciated.Hi dasun1981,
private function IsUserLoggedIn(evt:ResultEvent):void
if (evt.result.islogin.toString() == "true")
currentState = "MainMenu";
else
Alert.show("Login failed, please try again.", "Login Failed");
If I am right the above function is in your userlogin component and the two components "userlogincomponent" and "maincomponent" are in main application file and the states were also defined in main application file.
But in the function above the currentState refers to the state of the userlogin component and not the main application ...but the states are defined in main application file...that's the reason why the exception was thrown...
Instead you replace the line in the above function with the below line:
Application.application.currentState = "MainMenu";
Please mark it as answer if it helped you.

Changing state of application from within a custom component
Hello, I have several custom components all of which are included in the parent application.
When I try to change state from a custom component, I get an error saying "undefined state: state name". How do I change the state of the application from within a custom component ? All the states are defined in the parent application.@linrsvp,
If you are using Flex3 try Application.application.currentState = "somestate";
If you are using Flex4 try FlexGlobas.topLevelApplication.currentState = "somestate";
Don't forget to import the corresponding namespaces for the above.
Thanks,
Bhasker -
Hello,
I have a Flex canvas that contains several buttons. When I
click the button it changes to the next state which brings up a
custom component that has a panel with buttons on it. One of the
buttons should close the panel and return to the original state.
The exit button is a blue square and here is the actionscript:
private function onBlueClick ( event:MouseEvent ):void {
this.currentState=" ";
Unfortunately, this gives me an "undefined state" error. Does
anyone know how I can return to the base state through the
actionscript of a custom component?
Thanks in advance for any help.the problem is you are calling a state change on your custom
component, and it has no states defined. You want to call the base
state in the main app (parent app).
Try something like Application.application.currentState = "";
Having said that, you should look into simply dispatching an
event from the component's button click back to the main app, and
have the main app handle the event to switch the state. A component
should not be controlling the main app like what you are trying as
this will lead to issues where the component is too
"tightly-coupled" to the main app. -
Can I change component's state?
Hi All
First of All, I'm sorry for my english. But I'll do my best to explain my question.
Can I change component's state?
For example, When I click the button, I wanna change Label's state.
<s:states>
<s:State name="A"/>
<s:State name="B"/>
</s:states>
<fx:Script>

private function changelblState():void{
// lbl.includeIn = "B" --> impossible
// or
// lbl.state = "B" --> impossible

</fx:Script>
<mx: Label id="lbl" includeIn="A"/>
<mx: Button click="changelblState()"/>
How can I change component's state?
Thanks in advance.
Kevin.Thank you for reply.
But I've already tried.
<s:states>
<s:State name="A"/>
<s:State name="B"/>
</s:states>
<fx:Script>

private function changelblState():void{
lbl.currentState = "B"

</fx:Script>
<mx: Label id="lbl" includeIn="A"/>
<mx: Button click="changelblState()"/>
I got the error message.
ArgumentError: Undefined state 'invisibleSmallVideo'.

I know this is fault. If I can use lbl.includeIn = "B"; , I can solve it, but I can't. -
I am trying to create dynamic states. I am not sure if I am
going about it the correct way or not but I am certainly open to
more efficient ways of doing this. The problem as far as I can tell
is the click attribute in the radio button. I have this for a
starting point:
<mx:Panel x="26" y="10" layout="absolute"
id="affiliatepanel" height="200" title="Select Affiliation">
<mx:VBox y="10" height="140" width="173" x="10"
id="vbox1">
<mx:RadioButtonGroup id="affiliation" />
<mx:Repeater id="rp" dataProvider="{acArtists}">
<mx:RadioButton label="{rp.currentItem.grouptype}"
groupName="affiliation"
click="currentState='{rp.currentItem.grouptype_id}+SelectState'"/>
</mx:Repeater>
</mx:VBox>
</mx:Panel>
The starting point seems to do fine, except for calling the
appropriate state. At the moment I have a total of 5 different
states with different options depending on which radio button is
selected from the starting point.I looked at your suggestion, but being a newbie I could not
make anything out of it. The problem I seem to be having is getting
an undefined error:
Main Thread (Suspended: ArgumentError: Undefined state
'{rp.currentItem.grouptype}'.)
mx.core::UIComponent/getState
mx.core::UIComponent/findCommonBaseState
mx.core::UIComponent/commitCurrentState
mx.core::UIComponent/setCurrentState
mx.core::UIComponent/set currentState
myfirstflex/___myfirstflex_RadioButton17_click
It does not seem to be able to resolve the variable in the
currentState property but it does resolve in the label. I have
changed the code a little since the original post to this:
<mx:RadioButton label="{rp.currentItem.grouptype}"

Application not working after refreshing a page with F5
Hi,
Developed an application with jazn-data for security reason. In my application, i've taskflow with page fragments. In this fragment, i;ve LOv field with client listener to popup LOV using 'F8' key. After refreshing this page using 'F5' key or browser's refresh button, my application gets hanged. Even sign out button also not accessible. In browser's console i got "LaunchPopupUsingF8 is not defined" error. LaunchPopupUsingF8 is my javascript function for LOV popup.
Kindly guide me whats wrong in this...
Edited by: Usha on Sep 26, 2011 5:10 AMHi,
I would use JavaScript to disable the F5 button as it leaves the application in an undefined state after refreshing the content from the browser cache
see page 36 onwards (search for F5) for an idea

How do I gracefully handle XamlParseExceptions?
If a control that is dynamically loaded as part of a template has an error, it causes a XamlParseException which crashes the entire application.
I can hook into the Application.DispatcherUnhandledException event, but setting Handled to true on the DispatcherUnhandledExceptionEventArgs argument does not disable the problematic control. As a result, WPF tries again to apply the template, causing the
error to be thrown once more, resulting in an infinite loop.
Is there any way to disable the problematic control so that it stops trying to render?
Here is how to reproduce this scenario:
1. Create a WPF application.
2. Add a Window called "Dialog1" and a UserControl called "UserControl1".
3. Add the following code to each file (namespaces and root XAML elements left out):
App.xaml.cs:
(Also add the following namespace reference to the top: using System.Windows.Threading;)
public partial class App : Application
protected override void OnStartup(StartupEventArgs e)
base.OnStartup(e);
DispatcherUnhandledException += OnDispatcherUnhandledException;
private void OnDispatcherUnhandledException(object sender, DispatcherUnhandledExceptionEventArgs e)
e.Handled = true;
Dialog1.xaml:
(Also add the following namespace reference: xmlns:local="clr-namespace:your app namespace")
<StackPanel>

<ListBox ItemsSource="{Binding Mode=OneWay}">
<ListBox.ItemTemplate>
<DataTemplate>
<local:UserControl1 />
</DataTemplate>
</ListBox.ItemTemplate>
</ListBox>
</StackPanel>
Dialog1.xaml.cs:
public partial class Dialog1 : Window
public Dialog1()
InitializeComponent();
private void Button_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e)
var list = new object[1];
list[0] = new object();
DataContext = list;
MainWindow.xaml:
<StackPanel>

</StackPanel>
MainWindow.xaml.cs:
public partial class MainWindow : Window
public MainWindow()
InitializeComponent();
private void Button_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e)
var dlg = new Dialog1();
dlg.ShowDialog();
UserControl1.xaml.cs:
public partial class UserControl1 : UserControl
public UserControl1()
InitializeComponent();
throw new Exception();
Run the solution, click the "Show Dialog" button, and then click the "Cause XamlParseException" button. This will cause the exception to be thrown repeatedly.>>Is there any way to disable the problematic control so that it stops trying to render?
Not apart from catching and handling the exception in your code where it is being raised:
public UserControl1()
InitializeComponent();
try
throw new Exception();
catch (Exception ex)
There are some exceptions that you can't recover from and setting the Handled property to true in this case just causes the same exception to ge thrown over and over again.
The most meaningful thing you can do when an DispatcherUnhandledException occurs is to log the exception and then terminate the application:
private void OnDispatcherUnhandledException(object sender, DispatcherUnhandledExceptionEventArgs e)
Exception ex = e.Exception;
//log the exception...
Environment.Exit(1);
Setting the Handled property of the DispatcherUnhandledExceptionEventArgs to true and trying to continue on like nothing ever happened may leave your application in an undefined state and is rarely a good idea.

Exception not thrown on Key Exists
using c# api:
I have a Btree DB configured with two secondary DB's and a custom comparer, I have initialized the DB with 'DuplicatesPolicy.NONE'. To my understanding this should cause an exception to be raised if I try to enter a duplicate. On Put(), I get no such exception.
Why? Am I supposed to throw this from comparer? (Actually tried this but it looks like it leaves cursor in undefined state). How Do I get the KeyExists Exception to be raised when a key exists???
To my understadning I cannot use PutNoDuplicate() as a primary with secondaries cannot have duplicates configured, and you can only use PutNoDuplicate if there is a sorted duplicate policy...
Any suggestions?Hi,
The documentation could be a little misleading here. If you specify DuplicatesPolicy.NONE for a database, then duplicates will not be allowed in the database, and when trying to put a key/data pair in the database when the key already exist will fail:
"Insertion when the key of the key/data pair being inserted already exists in the database will fail. "
Failing here means that there will be no duplicate created, without any exception being thrown as the default behavior is to "Store the key/data pair in the database, replacing any previously existing key if duplicates are disallowed"; see the Database.Put() methods (BTreeDatabase extends from / is a sub-class of Database).
You should use the PutNoOverwrite method. When the key that your are trying to insert already exists in the database, you will get a KeyExistException exception.

Infopackage not getting executed through Process Chain
Hi All,
I am facing a strange issue in BW Process Chain. Sometimes 3 Infopakages in my Process Chain is not getting executed and the variants get stucked in Yellow state. I checked the status of variants in RSPCPROCESSLOG table and they went in Undefined State.
Can anyone tell why this happening and how to resolve that issue permanently.
Thanks,
JavedHi Javed,
When you trigger the process manually, it might work.
But, as Raman told - some times due to huge number of loads running at the same time, the Back ground processes will be heavily occupied and loads will stuck. By the time, you trigger them manually; they will be successful due to some of the back ground processes which becomes free by that time.
Though this will not happen all the time. But this can also be the reason. Try checking, if the loads are getting stuck in yellow with "Target event" "with parameter" getting generated in display messages --> chain tab or not.
Thanks,
Vikranth. -
Best way to pull spark view nav out of mobilecomponents.swc?
I would like to use the new view navigator code introduced in Flex 4.5, however it is important that our mobile apps share the same code base (mostly) as our web and desktop apps. Since these components were only included in the mobile build, what would be the best way to go about merging in these dependancies to our main library, without pulling over the full mobilecomponents.swc (which causes errors when included in a non-mobile app). I believe the errors are being caused by incompatible base class defenitions, but please correct me if my assumption is incorrect.
Does anyone have any suggestions for the best way to pull out the view navigator code without requiring the entire mobile framework, or should I just abandon the concept for now?
Thanks for your time!Hi, thanks for the reply!
Here is the error I'm getting:
ArgumentError: Undefined state 'landscape'.
at mx.core::UIComponent/getState()[E:\dev\hero_private\frameworks\projects\framework\src\mx\ core\UIComponent.as:10596]
The error seems to be related to the theme, but I'm not quite sure what the best way to fix it would be. Is there an underlying flaw in my project set up, or do I need to set some kind of mobile theme in my Flex air project?
The main project includes a number of internal library projects, and each one has mobilecomponents.swc set to merged in code. I also need to be able to build the workspace as part of an automated build, so it's important I understand what the underlying issue is with the project configuration within FB.
I am using Flash Builder 4.5 Premium.
Any aditional insite you can give me will be greatly appriciated.
Thanks again!

Hi all. I am learning join- tables in SQL. My question relates to the use of WHERE. It is probably best if I show 2 examples: 1 SELECT ename, dname from emp e join dept d on (e.deptno = d.deptno) WHERE ename = 'Jones'; 2 SELECT ename, dname from emp
