MC-4 Controller Not Working with LabView

I have a Klinger MC-4 Motor Controller and am trying to control it with LabView. I have thus far not been able to get the motor to move with the driver that I downloaded from this website. If anybody has written anything for this same purpose, I would greatly appreciate your insight. Any help with this problem in either LabView 5.1 or 6.0 would be great. Thanks.

It may be possible to modify the existing driver to work with this instrument. Otherwise, drivers are developed and modified based on demand and popularity so the more requests, the greater the possibility that one will be modified. Please send an email to [email protected] about this issue. It would also be beneficial to notify the instrument manufacturer.

Don't know for sure, but with the Student editions this is certainly the
case so it is possible.
The student editions do not allow:
1.AxtiveX
2.External Code (DLL's, CINS)
3. and somethjing else that escapes me at the moment.
Try simple examples such as the MSBrowser and the Adobe PDF reader AX
controls - these always work if Ax is going to work at all.

NI Goop Wizard not working with LabVIEW 2009

I have added the NI Goop Wizard using VIPM (VI Package Manager) into my LabVIEW 2009 SP1 installation however it is not working. Whenever I select Create New Class from the drop down (same applies to menu selection) nothing happens and the drop down returns to it's default selection. I have tried this on 2 PC's both with 2009 SP1 installed, both exhibit the same unwanted behaviour. One of the PC's also has LabVIEW 8.2.1 installed also with NI GOOP Wizard and this installation works fine.
Anybody using GOOP Wizard with 2009 ?

Off the top of my head it's my understanding that NI GOOP wizard is legacy software that was made redundant by the native GOOP tools in LabVIEW 8.2.0 and later.
In light of this it's a bit confusing that everything is working fine with 8.2.1 for you. Is there a version to the NI GOOP Wizard that you are using?
I had a search across the website but I'm afraid I haven't found any other examples or poeple using the GOOP Wizard in LabVIEW 2009 or 2010.

At-mio-16xe-50 does not work with labview

I am putting together another system. I set the daq board with the values recorded from the first system using ni-daq. The setup passes the test in ni-daq. I get the correct readings using ni-daq, but when I go to my labview application I do not get the right readings. The readings seem to be just noise.

In my experience if you get a correct reading in a test panel in MAX you should get the same reading in LabVIEW. Are you using virtual channels? How are you viewing the data? If you are looking at the data in a chart, is the chart auto-scaling making the signal appear to be noise? What type of signal are you reading (analog, digital, etc.)? Have you changed the default input limits for the board? Is the signal you are reading a constant source? If you are able to answer some of these questions it might be able to give you a more definitive answer.

Will our existing drivers work with LabVIEW 8.x?

We have drivers for some of our DAQ products that were developed in LabVIEW 6 or 7.
Is there any reason these drivers would not work with the latest versions of LabVIEW?
We ask because there seem to be some customers in Europe who believe our drivers do not work with LabVIEW 8.5, but we know there are users with LabVIEW 8.0 and 8.1 using the drivers without problems.
Any thoughts or suggestions, or are there any known issues with older drivers in LabVIEW 8.5?

In general, the latest versions of LabVIEW will work with older
versions of the DAQ drivers. However, it is certainly possible that some of
the older drivers could have some conflicts.
How “old” are the driver versions that your customers are
using? Specifically, what version of the
driver does your customer report seeing the errors with? Is the
customer using the same operating system that the original program was written
for? Is the customer seeing problems
upgrading the VIs from LabVIEW 6 or 7 to LabVIEW 8.5?
The suggestion to work with someone to try it out is excellent.
Posting the specific driver versions
seeing the conflict, might also shed some light on the issue.

Labview 2012 (64bit) not working with ActiveX and MSAccess

I have a program developed to open a MSAccess database file and import data using ActiveX commands. The program works with LabView 2012 (32bit) but fails on the ActiveX open command when using LabView 2012 (64bit). I also have the application built as an EXE and it works fine in a windows 32 bit environment (XP or Win 7-32bit) but fails when run on Win 7-64bit. I isolated the error down to the Active X automation Open VI.
Anyone have a solution for the incompatibility?

1.) VI and EXE works on XP and Win 7-32bit
2.) EXE fail on Win 7-64bit.
3.) VI works on Win 7-64 bit with LV 2012 (32bit)
4.) VI fails on Win 7-64 bit with LV 2012 (64bit)

It looks like you are trying to load a 32-bit DLL from a 64-bit OS. Do you have a 64-bit version of access installed? You'll need to change to that. On the other hand, ActiveX with Access is so slow. You can speed things up considerably by using ADO (i.e. NI's Database Connectivity Toolkit or something like LabSQL).

See the above post for more information - here's a synopsis:
CTRL+SHIFT modifiers are not working while running LabVIEW in a Parallels 7 virtual machine. This problem affects both LV2011 and LV2012. I'm not certain that this is a LabVIEW bug - could be an issue with my virtual machine environment or it's configuration - except that CTRL+SHIFT modifiers work in other applications on the affected VMs. It's just LabVIEW that appears to ignore shortcuts with the CTRL+SHIFT modifiers.
Any ideas?

Intel 6205 wireless not working with Lenovo W520

Loving the new W520... very fast, if only the wireless would work. Unable to get wireless interface functioning, won't even show up in ifconfig. I've appended requested wireless information, thanks in advance for any assistance.

MBA 13" media buttons not working with iTunes

I just got my mba 13" and everything is great, but for some reason the media buttons do not work with itunes. I've tried them with vlc and other applications and they work fine. Any ideas how I can fix this?

Right shift key not working with middle row of letters

The right shift key on my Macbook Pro does not work with the middle row of letters. It works with all other letters and numbers, just not A-L. Nothing out of the ordinary happened, it just stopped capitalizing

If that does not work, test it using an external keyboard.

ActiveX control is not working with windows NT

I've have a stand alone application which uses an activeX control. The application was compiled using Labview 7.1 on a Windows XP machine. The application will run without any problems on Windows XP and Windows 2000, however the activeX control will not work with Windows NT 4.0. The activeX control is registered, and I have also compiled the application on a Windows NT 4.0 machine. I do not receive any error messages, the application will start but will not communicate with the activeX control. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Have you tired running the VI by itself (not exe) on the NT machine? Make sure you are doing adequate error checking in your code. It could be possible that the application is generating an error which in not handled appropriately. Also which service pack do you have installed on the NT machine? Please look at the release notes for LabVIEW 7.1 here.

Cisco Aironet FW 15.2 Does not work with Non-Cisco Media Bridges

I have a Cisco Aironet 1142i that was just updated from 12.4(23c)JY to 15.2(4)JA1 (don’t think model matters as the issue seem to be the firmware) and now I cannot get my media bridges (3 different ones) to either connect to the 1142 AP or obtain and pass the DHCP addresses to other device connected to the built in switch. If I reload the 1142 AP firmware to 12.4, than this works fine. I have not seen anything in the release notes that changed how this works or if there is I could not find it.
Does anyone know why this changed and if there is any settings that I need to enabled / disable?
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated

AIR-AP1142N-A-K9 Hardware Version of v06 works with firmware 15.2.
AIR-AP1142N-A-K9 Hardware Version v05 does not work with firmware 15.2, but will when downgraded to firmware 12.4.
I'm also having this issue with Cisco Aironet 3602 Fw 15.2(2)JB and 3502 Fw 15.2(2)JB$ that's on a Cisco 2500 WLAN Controller Sw Ver. 7.4.100.0.

Where can I found hardware to get analog signal from VCR and work with labview and then sample this signal in very high frequency?

I am trying to build a Digital Video Recorder using Labview. The problem is that I found that Labview sample the signal in the order of milisecond. I wanted it to be in the order of microseconds. Also I am looking for a cheap Hardware solution if it is possible

Your question does not make a lot of sense to me, so I will just point out a few things.
1. The PCI-1411 works well with VCR signals. It has a BNC connector as well as a S-Video connector. The price is under $1000, so it is fairly reasonable. The amount of time you save getting it to work with LabVIEW is worth any extra cost.
2. The PCI-1411 is sampling three colors at 30 frames per second, with an image resolution of 640x480. This is the best resolution you are likely to get from a VCR signal. The sampling rate for each byte in the image is about 28 MB/sec. This is in the microsecond range that you are looking for, I think. If you are only interested in the raw signal instead of the image, you could look at the high speed digitizing boards NI sell
s that acquire at higher rates.
If this information isn't really what you were looking for, perhaps you could clarify your question.

Example: of what I'm looking for
The Product ID for National Instruments DAQPad-6020E is 0x12C0. The
USB vendor ID is 0x3923. This is a 16-bit hexadecimal number(1093)
(that is decimal 4243).

Solution:
There is a utility called USBView,
free from Windows, attached below, which you can use to view what is
connected to your computer's USB ports. It is necessary to load this
program and connect the USB device in development. Upon selecting the
device in USBView, one can then look on the right side of the
application window to obtain the Product ID and Vendor ID. This will
allow you to enter in the correct IDs when creating a driver .inf file
when using the VISA Driver Development Wizard. For more information
about how to use the VISA Driver Development Wizard see the related

Note: It is necessary to keep the hexadecimal
(0x####) format. Do not remove the "0x" hexadecimal format preceding
the ID number.

Any one have this issue?
HP ProBook 5220m (Bios Version F50) Fan not working with battery power but work fine with adapter plugged in.
This issue was found in my replacement motherboard. the original mother do not have this issue.
The origianl mother to be replace is due to can't power on after a power failure recovery. I believe was due to power surge killed the motherboard's power controller circuitry.
Appreciate any one can provide clue for resolving the problem.
I have tried to install speedfan to try my luck, but it can't any fan in the application to configure. (Bios Version F50)
