Do you know where you can have a update of Media Center Deluxe? Because at the moment I use one, but it is so slow and full with bugs !!!

MEGA 180: Full Screen Media Center Deluxe III

Hi,
When I am running Media Center Deluxe III in full screen I still can see to the right and bottom of the window some of the background picture of my desktop . This is very annoying when I am watching a DVD om my TV. I don't want to see a glimps of Ireland watching Star Trek . Does anyone has the same problem? Did you find a solution to make it really full screen?

There was one really appealing suggestion regarding the MSI Media Center III, but unfortunately it did not intend to fix the MMC itself.
It was rather about making you to feel better about what's going on

Media Center Deluxe III problem...

hi there...
i have a megaPC (mega 865) and i have a problem when i want to see dvd's in Media Center Deluxe III. the image is always stoping, but if i try to use WinDVD our PowerDVD it work real good and the image don´t stop.
does anyone here have this problem?
can someone help me?

I have this same problem on my 180,winDVD and other runs properly.
Did you treid to record the FM, the file result is horrible, as a very old audio tape.
If you record FM with windows utility "magnétphone "in french it 's all right.
I sent a email to the french MSI support to explain these problems 2 months ago,phone several time, but he don't care because it seems that I am alone with this kind of problem...

I've downloaded it twice both from it's mirror sites (US-Europe & Taiwan). And I've not found any "serial.txt" included in the "HomeTheater.zip" file.
I've search for cracks and serial keys but it doesn't work.
I want to try it with my Mega 651.

MSI Media Center Deluxe III !!! Crash all time..

MSI Media Center Deluxe III keeps crashing. Is there any fix to this problem yet. All seams to have this problem.
I run XP Home SP1 with all live updates done. My Mega 865 only run MSI Media Center Deluxe III utility, since i only wish to install what i wish to use.
The MEGA 865 was bought due i wanted a pc/radio/cd combination. But since MSI Media Center Deluxe III will not start due crash when i starts.. The media machine is useless for me.
I hope MSI can give us an update so this will work. Also if this program will not work with some other software, give us a list :hypecrite:

After several attempts at getting my HTPC to function consistently....it became obvious......disable Media Centre III and install software that is functional and supported....with authors that listen to your suggestions and problems.
Here is what I did and I now have what I believe is a fully functional and integrated HTPC.
Install either MyHTPC (free) or Meedio (commercial version)
I use Meedio to do the following
Play movies from my Maxtor external 250GB hard drive using Bsplayer - movies are catalogued and cover art viewable (used DVD Profiler to maintain library)
Play Music from my internal 200GB seagate drive - music collection catalogued including covers etc
Play TV using Chris-TV. tv@anywhere also sucks so I do not use the supplied software and I have thrown away the tv@anywhere remote control. (Now using Streamzap remote) Chris-TV has much better tuning capabilities and works well with the streamzap remote.
Play DVD using the MSI DVD Player (using PowerDVD ) - note bsplayer also works well but i prefer the PowerDVD skins/interface
Play radio using MSI radio (yes I did keep some msi software) as it worked and it is not important enough for me to be bothered with anything easier to use
Play CD using the MSI CD player (using WMP9)
Call up Internet weather & Radar (Australian Weather only)
Launch internet browser
Play/Display pictures (digital camera snaps) from the home network (pictures are stored on separate PC)
Control home automation - Motorised screen up/down, theatre lights up/down/on/off, Seat lights on/off, projector on/off etc
To get this working seamlessly with one remote control - I use the streamzap remote.....everything mentioned above works flawlessly with this remote so I have also thrown the MSI supplied remote in the garbage.
I now have Meedio in my start-up instead of media centre III and my remote has a macro button that can also launch it. I have a standby macro on the remote that puts the mega 865 to sleep but I still have to manually wake it up (ie touch it)
The litmus test to all of this was to hand the remote to my wife's blonde friend and asked her to play a certain movie on the projector. The HTPC was sight unseen to her before trying this and she was able to (using the remote) navigate her way to the movie through the various features of the HTPC without me having to show her how. And not once did it stop/stall/freeze/reboot/go slow.
Happy to share in the details of how to get this all running to get the best out of the Mega 865.

Media Center Deluxe III

I have a Mega 865 with a 2,4GHz Celeron CPU, and 512DDR Ram, it runs on a Win XP Pro
It have a MSI DVD ROM "D16" installed
If I play an DVD with MSI Media Center Deluxe III the movie stalles ona brakes up. If I play with PowerDVD.XP.deluxe.4.0 on the same pc, DVD, and DVD rom IT WORKS OK????

Media Center Deluxe III Serial?

I try to install "Media Center Deluxe III" and it asks for my serial. Where will I find that? I just bought and built a Mega 865.

Media Center Deluxe 2 at 800x600?

After installing my 5600VTDR board, which is running great, I tried to run the Media Center Deluxe but the program doesn't operate at the resolution my desktop is set for, 800x600. I have installed the media center patch.
How can change the program to operate at this resolution, I'm comfortable with editing configuration files if necessary.
The reason I'm running my computer at 800x600 is because my monitor functions both as an HDTV and a computer monitor with a max resolution of 800x600.
Are they any other ways around this problem if the damn program can't be configured for 800x600?

Oh, I'm currently, until i set up my raid system, running on a Win 2000 (SP4) OS. Abit nf7-s, 512 pc3200, blah blah blah

I have the exact same problem but instead of an hdtv i have an old 32-inch monitor that cnat run above 800x600 either.
Anyone out there find a solution to this problem???

hello all! my VGA Card is MSI FX5600-VTDR128, but MSI Media Center Deluxe II can't run my OS. why?!
My computer:
AMD Athlon XP 1800+
hy DDR333 256x3
MSI KT3 Ultra
MSI FX5600-VTDR128
Seaget IV 7200 80GB
Microsoft WindowsXP
I try format my computer and install different edition Windows XP, I install OS is: Windows XP English edition,Windows XP SP1 English edition, Windows XP sp1 DELL OEM edition, Windows XP Legend OEM edition, Windows XP retail edition and Windows XP SP1 retail edition, but can't work my system why?!

I have the same problem. I gave up with it ages ago. I now use a different make of graphic card (still a Geforce card) and this one works. My Fx5600 is now in a spare machine displaying web pages and thats about it.

I've lost my Media Center Deluxe II Original CD. Will it be possible for me to get a copy of it again.
My GFX is FX5600-VTDR256. I can post out my card serial no. or take a snapshot of my gfx card
for verification purposes. I need to reinstall my HTPC. Thanks.

MSI Media Center Deluxe 2 Problem - Urgent!

i've just got my new fx5600 vtdr graphics card and when i installed MSI Media Center Deluxe 2 under windows xp including the latest patch available, all the text parts in the software are presented with rectangles.
now because i cannot read anything, i cannot use the program !
i use windows xp pro english version with local settings Turkey - Turkish, and the MSI Media Center Deluxe 2 seems to have Turkish support.
I tried to change the language of the program from Turkish which it automatically chooses to English but i coul not achieve.
How can i change user interface language of the program to English or how can i fix the problem ?

Media Center Deluxe II w/Tv@nywhere Master (settings not saving)

I have a MSI FX5600 VTDR128 and a Tv@nywhere Master running on Win XP (original version - only applied a USB 2.0 patch). Everything works great after I installed all drivers, software, and updates.
However, I have one anoying problem. When I use Media Center Deluxe II (MCD2) and choose to watch TV, the TV capture device is set by default to the nVidia WDM driver NOT my Conexant device. So, I change the setting in Setup and go through the settings. Then viola! I have beautiful TV on PC in MCD2. But when I close MCD2 and reopen it, my TV Capture device setting resets to the nVidia WDM capture driver.
It is annoying when I just want to hit "Power" on the remote and watch TV. Instead each time I have to change my setting to the correct Capture device.
I have begun looking at config files and registry settings, but to date, have not found a fix or work around.
Any thoughts or help would be much appreciated.
I have installed all of the patches from the MSI site, (except for the nVidia driver 44.xx version - I am running 43.xx).

yeah i know what you are going thru i've got the same problem,
i use my pc to record tv-shows and watcht them on my tv
but because it's so quit i've got to turn the volume high,
so if i forget that and watch tv its very loud
anybody got an idea how to boost the volume ?

Media Center Deluxe II prototype software?

A few days ago I got the idea to build a media center PC. After scanning the market I decided to buy the MSI FX5600FX-VTD128 VGA board.
Part of my motivation for choosing this product was the included remote controller and MSI Media Center Deluxe II software.
Now after having installed this software and played with it for a short time, my worst fear was confirmed. Yet again a piece of poorly designed software. Crashes, non intuitive user interface, lack of compatibility with some of my video files and lack of configurability were my first findings after only a few minutes of use. And what a horrible remote controller??? I can't figure out why I need that text label saying "MSI Foreign Language Machine". Next to the label are two buttons for selecting FM and DVD. Can anybody explain why I need these two extra buttons when I already have the FM and DVD buttons further down on the remote controller layout???
Yes, I can go on and on with what I experienced during minutes of use. Everything is just not well thought about and reminds me about what I see in very early stages of consumer electronics R&D (I work in that business).
The Media Center Deluxe II is a piece of prototype software done without professionally skilled people in user interface design.
But I liked the idea of this bundled software, so please hire a professional UI designer, a professional ID company and implement some quality code...before releasing version III. And let people upgrade for free.
About the FX5600XT display board: IT'S GREAT :-)

from what i can tell, there is no way to change the resolution to 800x600. each time you start the program, it will change the entire screen to 1024x768. i could not find any setting within the actual program. i also did not find any configuration files which you may be able to "hack." it's set to 1024x768 for a reason, though, and it's my opinion you should leave it like it is. the buttons and menus already take up so much of the screen.
can i ask why you want to place it at a lower resolution? is your video card or monitor not able to handle it? are you receiving errors or lock ups? if everything runs okay, i think you might want to just leave it how its set...
