Media Manage - Is there a way to move all your connected data with 1 click?

Ok, I am an idiot, there it's out of the way
I usually tell people when editing to store everything in 1 file or keep it together. I started this editing project and thought it wasn't as big as it is now, and now I have files spread everywhere
can you use the media manager function to gather up everything up and put it inot one source file?
these forums rock!, I appreciate your help
Allyn.

One source file? No. You have several files and they will remain several files. HOWEVER, you can use the media manager to move all the files to one location.

  • Laptop stolen. Is there a way to move all of my data (Music, etc) to my desktop so I can set my phone up to sync from there?

Topic basically says it all. My laptop (which had music on it from as far back as 1998) got stolen so I need to shift over to using my desktop to sync mIphone. I'd like to salvage as much data as I can instead of just throwing it away. I tried using Touchcopy but that didn't copy any of my data for some reason. Can anyone help out?
    Thanks!

Restore your music and other data from the most recent backup of your laptop. You backed up on a regular basis, right?
The iPhone is not a backup device. It was never designed or intended to be used to transfer anything other than media purchased in the iTunes store from the phone to a computer.  If utilities like touchcopy don't work for you, you may be out of luck.

  • My laptop was stolen and i have a new one, is there any way to move all the picture folders to the new computer and not lose them?

My laptop was stolen and i have a new one, is there any way to move all the picture folders to the new computer and not lose them? They stole my external harddrive too so unfortunately if i lose these, i have no way to get them back?

What randers4 said. HOWEVER, if the photos were taken with a higher resolution camera than the iPhone what you recover will not be as high a resolution as the originals.

  • Is there any way to save all of my imessages with a person on to my computer for free?

I've looked at multiple programs but they all cost money. Is there a way to save an entire imessage conversation with a person on to my PC for free? I backed up my phone on itunes and when I looked at the backup I could not find my texts in any of the files. Thanks!

This is not a feature of iOS.
Search google for other options, if they exist.

  • Help: Is there a way to move all the music from my old 30GB classic ipod to my new 160GB classic?

I recently filled up my 30GB ipod classic so I got a new 160GB classic. My 30GB is synced to an old Windows PC and my new ipod is synced to a Mac. Can I move all the music on my old ipod (even if some songs aren't in my old library) to my new ipod?

You can't trasfer music between different accounts. If both computers use the same iTunes account, simply sync them to the same computer.
Music from old ipod goes to that computer, then select which tunes you want added to the new ipod and sync it.

  • Is there a way to keep all your stuff on your ipod after transferring to a new computer and being able to get new stuff on it while the old stuff is still on the ipod???

Okay so I had my itunes on my moms computer and now her computer is broken and I need to buy stuff on itunes (And I want to see my wish list again). How can I transfer all my old stuff over to this new computer with out changing anything or having anything deleted but at the same time being able to put new stuff on from the computer???

    Try this way:
Make sure your new computer is authorized in iTunes. Disable autosync in itunes, connect your ipod, right click on it in the device list and choose backup.
This will save data, pictures and settings to itunes. See what's included in this backup here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
Transfer your purchases the same way to copy all apps and bought media from the Store to your computer.
Set up at least one contact and event on your computer to be able the merge your calendars and contacts after your ipod got wiped during the first sync.
The rest of the data can be restored from the backup you made.

Music is one way only, from the computer to your device, unless you bought the songs in itunes and transferred your purchases.
There is 3rd party software out there, but not supported by Apple, see this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2013615&tstart=0

if you mean restore it to factory default then you can choose that while having it connected to the computer and using itunes

  • Is there a way to see all your tabs (in all groups) at once while still keeping the tabs grouped?

I like being able to have my tabs grouped in FF4, but sometimes when the groups are small I'd like to be able to just see all the tabs at once, with the ability to go back into panorama and switch to viewing only one group if need be. Is there a way to do this?

Flat view (the Filter folder icon with the red stashed circle) has stopped working for me in Leopard. Works in Tiger.
    I'm on: OSX 10.5.5, Mac Pro, Bridge CS3 v.21.0.100

Transferring your prepaid cellular data account depends on your carrier. AT&T lets you move it yourself when you go to Cellular Data in Settings and log into your account with your previous AT&T user name and password. For iPads with Sprint service, you can set up an account on the new iPad and contact Sprint Customer Care (888-211-4727 and go through the menus) to deactivate the old plan and get credit for unused service. For Verizon, call the company’s customer service number for mobile broadband support (800-786-8419) and ask to have your account transferred.

  • Is there any way to move all purchased music from one account to another

Click here and fill out the form; if they can't do it, it can't be done.

  • Is there a way to see all your SMS on your computer without purchasing a program i.e. via iTunes etc?

iTunes automatically backs up your messages and phone set up when it syncs but is there anyway to tap in and see the text messages that it has backed up?
Online forums point to programs that cost up to approximately $30 but is there another safe and free way to do the same?

    no

  • Is there a way to convert all your music w/o it taking 10 hours?

Hi, my brother got an ipod nano for xmas and i have a 60 gig. All my music right now is in apple lossless and takes up a bunch of space. i have about 50 gigs of music but he only has room for 4 gigs. Is there a program that u can just convert it all to acc so that it dosent take forever to do? What i am going to do is put all that music on my external hd then onto his computer but with apple lossless it only fits like 30 cds.

    I feel your pain....sort of.
I have a "master" library on a dedicated external drive where I put clones of ALL my CDs in AIFF format. I use the drive as the source for a wireless media server.
I recently wanted to make mp3 copies of everything, 350 CDs, more or less, to back up and use as a source for my iPod and iPod shuffle.
iTunes will do it, but it does take some time and require additional space on the "mothership" for the mp3 copies. You just create a "smart" playlist with a qualifier like : KIND IS MP3... Almost 300GB of AIFF was shrunk down to 28GB of high quality mp3. I did it over a couple of days, but at one sitting, I guess it would have taken about 6-8 hours. Obviously, the speed of your CPU and the parameters of your hard drive are variables.
Launch iTunes, go to your master library, select the albums/songs you want to "mp3-ize", then go to the Advanced Menu and select Convert to MP3.. (Before you do this, you must go into iTunes preferences and setup your import options to the quality of mp3 you want...)
