Media Smart Photo Printing

I have a new HP and it has Media Smart. I transferred all of my photos to the new PC and they all loaded into Media Smart. I can access the pictures but when I try to print them it goes to the Fax center. I can get a pop up that says local printer but it goes right back to fax. Another window says I can close the program or go online to fix. I click go online and then everything freezes

Try installing the latest HP MediaSmart Photo software from the following weblink:

HP Media Smart Photo Main Program

When I click on my HP Media Smart Photo Icon, I get a message that says HP Media Smart Photo main program has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. close program

I would perform the same steps as outlined that worked for the other customer.
Reinstall the application with Recovery Manager
Restart the PC
After the reboot open the application and see if the problem continues.

Hp media smart photo

Hi, I have hp media smart photo system. I tried to send pictures to snapfish, who I already have an account with, but it tells me that your username or password is wrong. I have changed password 3 times. I go directly in to snapfish from on line and sign right in with no problems. How can I fix this without losing my photos that are already in media smart?
Please help.

Has MediaSmart ever connected to Snapfish before?
I would recommend backing up all of the photos that are in MediaSmart because I wouldn't want you to lose any of them inadvertently in troubleshooting efforts.
I would like to see what version of MediaSmart Photo you have.
Open MediaSmart Photo > Click Settings > Click About > Make note of the version and post it in your reply, please.
Compare that version number with the latest version number below.
HP MediaSmart Photo Software version 4.1.4319 (sp49982)
If you have an earlier version than this. Go ahead and install the latest version. Even if you have the same version number it could be helpful to uninstall it and reinstall it, in case some part of the software became corrupt.
Let me know what steps you took if you don't mind and also let me know if it had ever connected to Snapfish before, if you don't mind. Hope this helps!

Trouble with HP Media Smart Photos

My HP Media Smart Photos has suddenly stopped working. When I try to open my photos, it stays on for a few seconds and then closes. I am thinking that I need to re-install the Media Smart Photo software; however, I have to uninstall the old software before I can re-install. Won't I lose the photos that I have previously imported into Media Smart?
Second question: has anyone had this problem with Media Smart Photos closing after a few seconds?

Hi,
It does sound like the existing installation of MediaSmart Photo is corrupt, however the software only indexes images that are present on your hard drive, so uninstalling then reinstalling this product will not result in the loss of any pictures.
Note that when the reinstalling has completed, launch the software and let it re-index your media files - this can take a few minutes depending on the number of images.

HP Media Smart Photo problem

I have a HP Pavilion p6310y PC, when I view a picture from my picture library then try to close the program I get the following message "HP MediaSmart photo main program is not responding". I didn't have problems with this until a few months ago. I just didn't have the time to ask for a solution to this problem. Thank you for your help.

Try using Recovery Manager to reinstall HP MediaSmart Photo - the procedure for using recovery manager to reinstall Software and Drivers is detailed in the relevant document on the link below.
Recovery Manager - Windows 8.
Recovery Manager - Windows 7
Recovery Manager - Windows Vista
After the reinstallation has completed, restart the PC.

Missing Hp media smart photo files

I am trying to import my photos from my iPad and my photo file will not load. All the other tabs work - like the video files etc. How do I reinstall this or find a solution to this? Sorry not very techie.

At the uninstall area it tells me the product definition file is lost. How do I find this?

Welcome to the HP Support Forums!
Regarding the inquiry into printing from your iPad to the 7520 in a black ink only, unfortunately it is not an option. The printer does not control this, the Airprint driver on the iPad does.
Until Apple puts this feature into there Airprint driver it is not going to be an option for you. I am not aware of one, but you could try looking into apps available in the App Store that could make this happen.

How do i change hp media smart photo?

dont get me wrong...i loooove windows 7, but i dont like viewing my pictures...is there a way to change it back to windows 6? that was MUCH easier to use!

How do I move my photos out of Media Smart to another file

Hi, I've recently uploaded my photos on different days, from my camera to my HP Paviliion Entertainment PC using the HP Media Smart upload& edit photos function. But now I want to put all those photos together in one file in 'My Pictures'. I also want to take some of those photos and send to a memory stick.
But... I cannot find any option to select All, cut, move or copy my photos to do the above!
Can anyone help please...

The HP PhotoSmart 5514 is on Apple's list of AirPrint printers, so it should work. <iOS: AirPrint 101>
One problem might be that your WiFi router does not correctly handle Bonjour data required by AirPrint. Contact the router's manufacturer to see if there is a change to its setup or a firmware update that will solve the problem.
I had a printing problem several months ago, where the WiFi had jumped to a neighbor's WiFi that happened to have the same name. There are a LOT of WiFi routers out there named "Linksys"!

Photo smart 245 printing

Hi, I ve a photosmart 245 and ve been printing on old HP photo paper which included a tab - perfect pics.
Now I'm using some non HP paper 6x4 Fuji but the photo prints too small for a 6x4 frame as it includes a tab space.
Two questions:
Can u turn off the printing of a tab space?
Currently available HP photo paper does not mention a tab. Will my photos print on this paper in the correct size for a 6x4 and not too small - is it possible to test?

The Photosmart 245 needs a tab to be able to print borderless. I do not see tabbed photo paper listed on the HP site, but a search turns up a number of options.

hi, i have a hp pavilion dv7-1245dx, i format de drive c and install the windows vista 64 in spanish because im in argentina, but before search and install all drivers,my media smart quik lunch button dont't work, I intall all drivers from the hp web, then the media smart button work bad because y install the dvd play and when I push the buttom sound like i push 2 twise and open the dvd play no the mediasmart menu, then i unistall the dvd play, the media samart work good from the computer icon but to the button dont work, sound like two twise again but dont open nothing, y don't know what to do? I unistall and install again all quik lunch buttons and finger print drivers.help me plase, and another thin. when i format i lost the webcam software i would like someone help me to recober it .

I have the exact same problem. I noticed this started after some windows update just prior to upgrading to Windows 7. And then it got worse after the upgrade.
I'm having to go into the task manager and end the smartmenu.exe application just to stop the nagging volume bar across the middle of the screen and just to use the computer, but the Volume still jumps around rapidly.
Please, HP read this and help.

I just upgraded my Hp Omni 100 Pc from windows 7 Home Basic to Windows 8.1 and Now I'm not able to install HP Media Smart in Windows 8 Pc.I tried installing but it says that it has a compatibility issue and now I'm not able to use my webcam and Music/Video/Photos.Please I want it back.Please Help me

Please try troubleshooting in windows 8.1 , under the control panel , type troubleshooting in the search bar , this will open a new window showing the troubleshooting option , try the first one click on program
this will show you the next tab
and then it will detect the compatibility issue , if its not able to list the program or software you are desiring ,
then simply uninstall the software first from your system , and then right click on the software
click on compatiblity troubleshooting and run the program , follow the screen instruction .
if still have problem , fell free to write ous again , we will respond as soon as possible.
