MediaHub reset, FTP password gone

As I was encoutering some problems with my MediaHub (could not activate external access anymore, firmware update would not work anymore) I did a full reset.
After that my MediaHub updraged automatically to firmware 3.18.5, but now the options for using the FTP with password protection is gone. Even so the option for a guest user.
Especially the password protection for FTP is important for me. How can thos be restored again?

Hi there!
Since you've done a "reset", the mediahub settings went back to default settings. You need to reperform the configuration of the mediahub to have the FTP feature enabled.
Here's what you need to do, access the mediahub "Configuration" page then select the "Services" tab. From there, scroll down and look for "FTP Server". Select "Configure" then put a check on "Enable FTP Server" and if you wish to have a password enabled FTP then select "Require Username and Password for FTP Access". Just click "submit" and everything should be saved.

Check your security software
Related errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006. Sometimes security software can prevent your device from communicating with either the Apple update server or with your device.
Check your security software and settings to make sure that they aren't preventing a connection to the Apple servers.

Every time I reset my password to update my apps, and go back to use the newly created password, it keeps telling me the password is incorrect.

No matter what I do, I cannot log in to update my apps. I even went to appleid.apple.com to Manage My Account and NOTHING works. I have reset the password a zillion times and it will not work. Yes, this happens directly on my iPhone. I go to my App Store icon on my phone, try to "Update All" and my username pops up lookng for the password. I type in the password, and it keeps saying it is incorrect. I reset the passwords in my server database, I put the new password in DW?

Hi, stupid question but things aren't quite working here. I am moving my site to a new host and I changed the passwords to my database to the same passwords for simplicity. (also because I wasn't sure what the old ones were and I don't want to hold up the move.)
Anyway, I reset the database password then went into D.W., site/edit/remote server and entered the new database password. That was correct right?
It's not connecting but it might just need more time. Want to make sure I did it right.

Which database password are you referring to?
There's the FTP password which DW needs to connect to your remote site for file uploads/downloads.
Then there are the database passwords on the server if you're using MySql databases. Those have nothing to do with the DW FTP password.

Have you tried tapping on your id in Settings > Stores on your phone and logging ouy of your account and then logging back in and seeing if that 'refreshes' the account on it ?

Why do I have to keep resetting my password?

Just two weeks ago I had to reset my password for unknown reasons. Tonight, I get on my desktop and my messages app is up and telling to put in my password. I entered my password and it told me it was incorrect. After checking my email, I found a message that said I changed my password; I had not changed my password. At that point I did change it. I then logged onto my iCloud on the desktop without a problem. Next, I go to my iPhone to change the password on it, and it won't accept it. What is the deal? This has happened at least several times just within the last six months. It's really getting old. Of course Apple support is useless because it is out of 30 days or whatever cheap help they give.

Apple will never require you to change your password. However, if you have a corporate MS Exchange email account on the phone your IT administrator can require you to change your password.
Since you say your credit card information is gone also, it is likely that someone has hacked your account.

FTP Password not working

My setting in iWeb ftp was working fine until today. I am getting an error message that my ftp password is not correct. I know this is not right (I reset my password with web hosted two times now and know that I am typing in the right password). HELP!

Right. I think I know the problem. It's the FTP Locking. If it is, it will be nothing to do with iWeb
This is to do with your web hosting server. What many hosting companies do is they place a lock on your FTP settings after a certain ammount of time.
It is a well known fact, to web developers, that hackers are able to retrieve your FTP Settings and Passwords and then publish their own website (often with more viruses) on your website. To stop this, web hosting companies place FTP time limits so after a some time, which is customisable, your FTP settings are not valid. So basically, to put this into English, it makes your FTP settings invalid, and is only valid when you unlock it.
Do you see below how I have to unlock my FTP:
So basically, you will need to unlock it from your web host server and publish while it is unlocked. Give yourself plenty of time to upload because you don't want to find out that it locked half way through your upload.
It is recommended that you keep it locked, basically because others can't publish their own websites on your servers.

How much will Apple Charge to reset Firmware Password?

My younger brother has a 2012 MacBook Air 13" with all standard options and he somehow managed to set a firmware password and doesn't even remember doing it considering he forgets things easily. We need this password reset in order to run a disk repair but in order to do that, he needs to boot into recovery mod but it asks for the firmware password. There's absolutely no way to recover or hack it unless you could trick apple that you're an authorized Apple service technician from what I hear. His 1 year AppleCare expiered so it's gonna cost but I want to know about how much it will be to reset this password. I believe you can buy the devices to reset them from eBay but they're a like, $400!

If you have lost your "admin" account password, it can be recovered using the "pwadmin" account as documented at the following link:

If you have lost your "pwadmin" password as well, you'll need to open a TAC case and get a "DMS 5.1 pwadmin reset" ISO image via TAC. You can then boot the appliance with the provided CD to reset the "pwadmin" password, then login as "pwadmin" and reset the "admin" password from there.
