  • Can I make a folder structure for FF bookmarks outside of firefox?

    I want to make about 100 bookmark folders for firefox bookmarks. Is there some way I can create the list in a word processing doc or spreadsheet and then import it into FF? It is a little time consuming in FF to make so many folders.

    A possibility is to use JavaScript in Firefox to create the main structure and edit that file.
    Run the script as a bookmark or in the Scratchpad with an about:blank page in the current tab.
    <pre><nowiki>var head = '<!DOCTYPE NETSCAPE-Bookmark-file-1>';
    var meta = '<META HTTP-EQUIV="Content-Type" CONTENT="text/html; charset=UTF-8">';
    var title = '<TITLE>Bookmarks</TITLE>';
    var menu = '<H1>Bookmarks Menu</H1>';
    var dls = '<DL>';
    var dle = '</DL>';
    var folder = '<DT><H3>Folder #</H3>';
    var link = '<DT><A HREF="http://">Link #1 in Folder #2</A>';
    var text = [];
    var maxF = 100;
    var maxL = 1;
    text.push(head);
    text.push(meta);
    text.push(title);
    text.push("");
    text.push(menu);
    text.push(dls);
    text.push("");
    for(var i=0; i<maxF; i++){
    text.push(folder.replace(/#/, i+1));
    text.push(dls);
    for(var j=0; j<maxL; j++){
    text.push(link.replace(/#1/, j+1).replace(/#2/, i+1));
    text.push(dle);
    text.push("");
    text.push(dle);
    text=text.join("\n");
    var URI="data:text/html;charset=utf-8,";
    location.href = URI + text;</nowiki></pre>

  • Retract Action Menu Selection for EQ - Does this require configuration?

    We are currently on version 6.1.0.1 - under the eQ action menu of a sent eQ is the "Retract" action. When I select this action for an "InProgress eQ", nothing happens and the eQ status does not change.
    When I searched the configuration, navigation, administrator, and eQ documentation, I did not find any information on the RETRACT action until release 6.1.1.x
    I would like to figure out how to configure this action in my current version. Is there any information that is not in the 6.1.0 documentation that I can use to make this action menu seletion work as expected?

    Hi Beckie,
    This is a Known issue, 'Retract' function is not supported in 6.1.0.x version. Sorry to bring any confusion. We will remove this button in later release of 6.1.0.x.
    However, this function is fully supported in 6.1.1.x version. so please try on 6.1.1.x server.
    Thanks,
    Jessie

  • Convert Selection for Ipod help

    Having just updated to the latest version of iTunes 6.0.2 for the Mac I have been attempting to the Convert Selection for iPod menu selection for video podcasts that have not already sync'd up. I have successfully converted 1 video podcast and loaded it on my iPod 5G, but have also tried unsuccessfully to the same with 4 or 5 others. When I do Get Info on the converted files it does show the .m4v file extension and when I run the video podcasts from within iTunes, it looks like it is the right size.
    Has anyone else seen this and can offer a resolution?
    G4 Dual 1G (QuickSilver 2002)   Mac OS X (10.4)

    I think I was able to resolve this myself after some trial and error. It looks like it is all in the name of the file. I've gotten some files to transfer after going into the Get Info section and updating the name (usually shorten the name or take out non-letter/number/# characters and then get the filename on disk to match.

  • How can I change scrollbar colors? It's hard to see the menu selection/color when scrolling through bookmarks, for example.

    How can I make clearer the menu highlight selections, for example when scrolling through my bookmarks. The light blue color is hard to see in Windows 7. How do I change that color?? Running FF 3.6.6

    " Is there anyway I can define individually as to what color should be related to each text in ring menu?"
    Well not with a ring and not programatically.
    The best I can suggest is a picture ring, see below.

    Do you mean the Bookmarks Menu button on the Navigation Toolbar?
    You only see that button if the menu bar is hidden.

  • Firefox 4: the angle brackets are missing at the end of the bookmarks toolbar, just the Bookmarks arrow for ALL bookmarks

    I can't access the overflow of my toolbar bookmarks without calling up all the bookmarks.

    You can remove the Bookmarks Menu button on the Bookmarks Toolbar with code in userChrome.css
    Add code to userChrome.css below the @namespace line.

  • After updating to Firefox 7.0.1, menu bar for Google,yahoo, Facebook (message,notification,profile,home) and others site are disabled. How can solve this problem?

    after updating to Firefox 7.0.1, menu bar for Google(web ,image,video,map etc),yahoo, Facebook (message,notification,profile,home) and others site are disabled. even I cant log out from different sites cz the log out bar is completely disabled. I tried with Firefox 4;5 and 6, same problem exist . I tried by active all add ons for facebook, same problem exist. If I use internet explorer , I don't find such problem with it.
    How can I solve this problem?

    Thanks a lot for your swift response. And sorry if it was a bit too hectic to go through my detailed query (which I did because it was misunderstood when I asked previously). As I've mentioned above, I was informed that updating to 5.0.1 would '''require''' me to '''delete''' the current version and then install the new one. And doing so will involve losing all my bookmarks. I guess I should have been more specific and detailed there. By losing, I didn't mean losing them forever. I'm aware that they're secured in some place and deleting and installing the software doesn't harm its existence. What I meant that if I install the new version, I'd have to delete the old one. And after installing the new version, I'd have to transfer them (bookmarks) back from wherever they are. Get it? When it updated from 3.6.9 to 3.6.13, and from 3.6.13 to 3.6.18, I didn't need to follow that process. They were already present on their own.
    BTW, I'm having no problems with 3.6.18 but after learning about the existence of version 5.0.1, I'm a bit too eager to lay my hands over it.
    Thanks for your help; hope this wasn't extremely long.

    Hi, my Firefox bookmarks are nested; when I select one, the bookmark menu vanishes, which means to open several similar-topic bookmarks in different tabs I need to continually re-open bookmarks and delve down to the same level. Is there any way of making the bookmarks menu "sticky"? I'm on XP SP3 and latest version of Firefox (3.6.3)

    You're welcome
